Absolutely one of the worst service I've ever received. All the repair guy did was show up, diagnose that the refrigerator compressor was a issue (this is already a well known documented class action lawsuit pending regarding LG and Kenmore refrigerators using LG compressors breaking down after 2-4 years after purchase) and said Sears won't cover parts or labor. Sears really doing this to save few bucks to lose customers and gain poor (even more) reputation. The repair costed more than buying a new fridge so I went to Home Depot and got a new refrigerator. Never again I will buy anything made by Kenmore, LG and shop from Sears. -5 stars. Oh yea, they still charged $100 for this "service". The tech was on time, the problem was they couldn't fix the issue because the parts was discounted with is understandable but they charged me a 130.00 service fee for a problem they couldn't fix. They had the serial number, make and model of my refrigerator, they knew they couldn't fix the issue but showed up to collect the service fee and tried to sale me the service insurance on applinances they no longer carry parts for. read more

My technicians were outstanding, kind, polite and very professional. However, I'm disappointed with the warranty company. They use the Sears name; however, when you dig a little deeper, you discover it's not really Sears. Also, look at the fine print and ask lots of questions before selecting and paying for a protection plan. There are many plans and they are all very confusing. If you get the protection plan that covers 12 appliances, you have to wait three months to be able to get a replacement on the broken appliance. Then, you must also have the technician come out to your house three times, even if the appliance is clearly broken, before you can get the appliance replaced. Additionally, they charge $100 for the technician to even come to your house to look at the appliance. I called the Sears' repair number and spoke to several rude representatives. The final telephone representative left me on hold for over 25 minutes. I'm just disappointed that these people are using the Sears name; however, lack the Sears' integrity and honor of years ago. Please do your homework and don't get misled. Again, the technicians were great; however, customer service and the misleading information on the protection plans need to be investigated by Congress. read more

my dishwasher had a fault code . the tec could not clear it so he left . never checked the voltage or tested the control panel. He did not check anything just tried to clear the fault message which I had already done from utube. after he left we had a power surge from a thunderstorm and the fault disappeared. thank goodness I did not purchase a new dishwasher. just not happy that he did not vault meter anything before calling it quits and cost me $149 . read more

Joey was unable to fix my mower at the time as he had to order parts. But he was a trooper as it has been raining for days and the ground was wet. The battery was dead on the mower, I was lucky enough to have a charger and another battery. I uploaded serial numbers and mower information on the website, but apparently the website doesn't pass this information on to the technician. I also gave the information explaining that they should be prepared for either a carburetor issue or lack of gas getting to the carburetor. Unfortunately again he was unable to obtain this information prior to him making the trip out. Not sure why Sears would have this on the site to input if they are not sharing it with the technician that arrives to do the service. Sooo. Joey was great, but not prepared to provide the service that we needed on the day that it was needed. Needless to say, it would've been a better service call if Sears actually used their service call website the way it was intended.. to prepare their technicians with the information they ask us to provide to better prepare for a turn key and smooth service call. In the end, the mower is not fixed, the carburetor was the issue and I did not purchase the carburetor from Sears at the almost $300 they wanted me to spend on the carburetor and the service for fixing this carburetor for another $300 for a total of $600 to do this service. I did however buy a full carburetor, filters, plugs, and fittings from the mower company for the make and model on my mower for $42, not the nearly $300 Sears wanted for the part. All in all, we paid for the $150 inspection fee and I purchased the part elsewhere at $42. Thanks to Sears... they waisted their employees and my time, not providing the pertinent information to better prepare their technician and they need to check their fees against their competitors. Like I said, the technician was capable, just unable to do a thorough comprehensive inspection with not background information that was actually provided by me to the service call website that I had to upload the serial numbers Nd mower information on. read more

This company deserves a MINUS five not even a zero. Should not be called a warranty service. Total scam!! Paying $60 a month for years then $100 deductible when our fridge broke down on July12. Filed a claim and had the first tech come a week later. His "diagnosis " : the compressor needs to be replaced and coolant refilled!' Then the wait started. Wait for the part to be approved then to be ordered then send a tech. A month had already passed. Finally August 19 the compressor was replaced. The next day there was a strong smell in the house and fridge was not cooling. Scheduled appointment for August 21st but no tech showed up. Called Sears they didn't know what happened, apologized and scheduled another tech for the 22nd. He arrived at 8:00am. His "diagnosis " was that the leak was from inside the fridge and a coil needs to be replaced. He said he's gonna go get the part and come back. Around 2:00pm he called saying that he lost his tools and was gonna check if another tech can be sent out. After not hearing from him we texted him and his WRITTEN response was that the job will not be completely today but he can come back and reassemble the fridge which he did. I called today customer service to complain and was told that the tech claimed he came back to put the coil but we refused service so he closed the job. After taking so many days off from work to wait for their incompetent technicians The last resort is to go to court. There is already a class action lawsuit on this particular fridge model. I have a home warranty and have used Sears before. Alex worked on our dishwasher and did a fantastic job 5 star . On time and had tools and parts. Other times I have used Sears not so lucky.
