    Oysters!!!
    Yolanda Y.

Stopped by Seaworthy during our NOLA trip for oysters at happy hour based on a bartender's rec, and it was a great choice! The front of Seaworthy is low-key, but the interior is tasteful and inviting with a lovely courtyard space. The oysters were incredibly fresh and high quality, with beautifully done shucking. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the shucker efficiently served our oysters, while carefully checking each and tossing any that weren't absolutely top-notch without hesitation, which really spoke to their commitment to quality. We tried each variety of oysters offered at the time and paired them with local beers on tap. We especially enjoyed the Alabama and Louisiana selections. Fantastic spot for oysters if you're in the area!

The tuna tartare was delicious and unique, the cocktails were delicious, however I ordered the shrimp and grits and honestly, I could not even eat more than one bite. It was bland and the shrimp was not cleaned properly. The cocktails and appetizers are probably the best things on the menu. The service was good and the ambiance was excellent.

All I have to say is LOBSTER ROLL!!! It hit the mark and then some. I actually can't wait to make a man pay for my next one!!! Our waitress was amazing and attentive but not in a hovering way. I really enjoyed the theatrics that accompanied the Holy Water. So fun! And the oysters (and the cute guy shucking them) were perfect. Oh and that radicchio salad cannot be overlooked. It was incredibly fresh and tossed in the right amount of dressing. Tens all across the board!

Seaworthy is always worthy of your time in NOLA. I always stop by when I'm in town. It has reliable service, drinks and food that always satisfies. Oysters are always fresh and perfectly shucked and served with a smile. It was near closing and the staff was very accommodating which was appreciated. Can't wait to visit again

Such an amazing experience! The service, food and ambiance was wonderful. Some friend and I went towards the end of the night. We for the Caviar, a few dishes to share and the frozen key lime pie stole the SHOW! 10/10

I love the rustic decor. Seaworthy has a great oyster happy hour and broad raw bar selection. NOLA isn't really known for raw oysters per se, so finding a location that specializes in raw oysters can be tough. Seaworthy checks all the boxes - great selection, good shucking, and knowledgeable staff. If you're lucky enough to dine in during the holidays, explore the seasonal drink menu.

This was our 5th or 6th visit yet 4th time refused to seat us as we requested on our reservation. For an oyster bar they don't seem too interested in seating in the oyster bar area. Seems apparent also since hotel management change so has the menu offerings & interest in service hospitality.

Do not go here. Yelp has removed my reviews multiple times. The guy in the photo was flossing his teeth, and then picked up my raw oysters to shuck Go somewhere else to eat

I stumbled into this spot (which is kind of hidden) thanks to the recommendation from a friend. I sat at the bar and had rose, charred oysters and the Cesar salad. The charred oysters were phenomenal. The meal was a good size with the salad. Initially the salad looks enormous, but it's just leafy and paired with the rose and oysters, it just was a good meal. It's pretty dark inside, so do keep that in mind. Sitting at the bar does allow you to chat with the bartenders and servers, which I always enjoy. I was seated near the kitchen and it was just a bit odd.

Seaworthy isn't just a restaurant; it's an aesthetic. The vibe is dark, nautical chic with just enough mood lighting to make everyone look 15% hotter. Come for the oysters, stay for the lobster roll, and leave wondering if you can pull off a captain's hat without looking like a tourist. Had an amazing dinner here! I was with a large group so we were able to try multiple dishes: Parker House Rolls, Shishito Peppers, Hot Fish Dip, Charbroiled Oysters, Seared Octopus, and a variety of raw oysters. Their desserts were amazing too! Service was great, especially accommodating for our large party.

Service, wine, vibe... so good. Spooky kind of ambiance (which I love). Our waiter was so kind and helpful with choosing between what we wanted to order 1000/10

Excellent service and food!! Best selection of oysters for Happy Hour. The charbroiled oysters were the best we've had in Nola.

Is this a place you would go for a quick bite before going out or is dinner typical restaurant length?

I'd suggest hitting Seaworthy for their Happy Hour (discounted oysters and drinks)... best/freshest oyster I've had in town and the selection from numerous regions is impressive

    When is Happy Hour?

    Wednesday-Sunday 4-6pm

Picking up visitors from airport. Saturday, very late night, 11:30pm - Midnight'ish. They'll have a 10yr & 13yr old with them. Will the kids be allowed to eat here at that time?

Def call, but I would say no. It's not a comfy place per say especially for younger ones who may be tired / hungry. It's more chic than family really.

The overall vibe/decor is dramatic and appealing. If you are a group of rich girls who are eating before they go out drinking or a dude trying hard to impress a date, this is the spot. The eh: It's $$$. I probably didn't look into this aspect well enough so my shock at the menu/check was probably on me. Portions are a bit confusing. Poutine was huge - like Mexican Nachos size huge. Hamburger also. But 2 deviled eggs, a tiny 9$ miniature loaf of bread were confusing in contrast. We had two mixed drinks. Gin and tonic was fine, but the 17$ espresso martini was hilariously undrinkably unpleasant. Less like espresso, more like donut shop coffee. Now, I love some indirect lighting. It creates interesting and compelling spaces with mood and a bit of mystery- But y'all - this is just the darkest restaurant (or lounge or whatever) I have ever eaten in. There is so little light that you literally cannot read the menu without using the flashlight on your phone. It is spelunking levels of darkness in there. I had to ask the server for more of the tiny tabletop candles just so we could see each other. The music is also very loud. Which would make sense if there was a dance floor or some reason for it. It is a place where what you do is drink and eat (in the dark) and talk to each other. The design of the restaurant itself seems at odds with the two things it aims to provide.

Marvin has been promoted to Beverage Manager. He left his bar in very good hands. The two young dudes carrying his torch were great. Very friendly and well aware each time we finished our drink and needed a reload. They're well-trained in the art of concocting the Sazerac we love. Sitting for 2 hours watching the regular turnover of the precious seats at the Carousel is still big fun. And having a friendly chat with the constant turnover of strangers sitting next to us is part of the unique charm of the Carousel Bar. There is a small bar bites menu - the Cubano was tasty but a bit overpriced at $18. The service was okay. We ended up getting water from our server that brought us food as the bartenders were too busy making cocktails. There was a jazz band playing on Thursday night when we visited.
