They took us without a reservation and got us seated right away, which was a great start. The place has all the character and charm you expect from a New Orleans restaurant. Food was excellent. I had a lovely evening at Seaworthy. I walked right in on a Monday evening and sat at the bar. It has such an awesome vibe, I would definitely come here for a date night. The front of Seaworthy is low-key, but the interior is tasteful and inviting with a lovely courtyard space. The oysters were incredibly fresh and high quality, with beautifully done shucking. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the shucker efficiently served our oysters, while carefully checking each and tossing any that weren't absolutely top-notch without hesitation, which really spoke to their commitment to quality. We tried each variety of oysters offered at the time and paired them with local beers on tap. We especially enjoyed the Alabama and Louisiana selections. NOLA isn't really known for raw oysters per se, so finding a location that specializes in raw oysters can be tough. I stumbled into this spot (which is kind of hidden) thanks to the recommendation from a friend. I sat at the bar and had rose, charred oysters and the Cesar salad. The charred oysters were phenomenal. The meal was a good size with the salad. Initially the salad looks enormous, but it's just leafy and paired with the rose and oysters, it just was a good meal. It's pretty dark inside, so do keep that in mind. Sitting at the bar does allow you to chat with the bartenders and servers, which I always enjoy. What a selection they have and are very knowledgeable on the subject if you are not! We had the Canadians and they were sooo clean and crisp that we had them a second time! You can get horseradish and sauce for them if you like. All very fresh. My first suggestion is do not pass up the opportunity to try them. I hate to say this but here... they were better than what I had in Boston. I did tell them that! There are food choices for anyone including the non seafood loving but I would definitely go for the seafood. The price options also vary so there really is something for anyone. Good date place. Visiting New Orleans for work and dined here for dinner after reading some reviews and viewing the menu. The oyster happy hour is lovely. I was partial to the PEI selection they had over the Gulf, but that's just a personal preference. I ordered the restaurant week pre-fixe menu. The Caprese salad was really flavorful. The tomatoes were super fresh, and there was a nice balance of basil and cheese. The fish and chips were tasty, and the chips had a nice but not overwhelming Cajun seasoning on them. The ice cream sandwich dessert was nothing to write home about. It was too frozen as if it was premade and went straight from freezer to table despite me asking for 5 minutes between entree and dessert because I was full. But it was decent and the toasted coconut added a nice flavor. The martinis were well made and complimented the oysters well. The restaurant was pretty empty when I dined, but it was a Sunday evening. Overall, the restaurant itself was really cute and well appointed. I'm sure if it was a more lively night, it would have had a nice atmosphere. The bartenders were really nice and gave me some restaurant recommendations when I inquired. My waitress was pleasant and attentive. The only thing that bothered me about the service was that I asked for a few minutes between entree and dessert, and my dessert came out pretty quickly. The highlights were the oysters (shucked perfectly, absolutely no shell) and the Parker rolls. The shrimp cocktail was good put I believe the shrimp were precooked well in advance. While I liked both the tartare and octopus for the bold flavors that were present (the beats in the tartare had a bbq smoke to them which I liked and the octopus and a lot of sauce with it), some of my friends felt it was too aggressive. Happy hour was the best and the espresso martini was perfect. The restaurant had east, west and gulf oysters on the happy hour menu. The restaurant was nice inside the service was good and everyone was very attentive. Didn't get to try anything on the regular menu but I bet it's just as delicious as the happy hour menu. It's connected to the Ace Hotel and it's a small narrow restaurant. we started off with the parker house rolls and the fish dip. the rolls were good but a bit salty while the dip was good and had plenty of lavash crackers. for main we got the salad - which was not great; the crawfish roll that came with fries - it was supposed to be lobster but that's only in season and the roll would've been better with lobster but the fries were good; fish and chips - good portion size and fries were good but fish could've had a bit more flavor; and finally the fish sandwich which was more like a banh mi - again good portion size and good fries but lacking in flavor. overall the food was good in portion size and some items were better that others but generally there was a lack of flavor. the ambiance was decent, the place was a bit small and narrow and service was decent but a bit overwhelmed read more

All the staff members were polite and charming and worked together. Our cocktails were delicious, I love that they feature a classic daiquiri on the happy hour menu. Wife and I showed up on the 17th with no reservation before the TSO show around 540pm. Told the hostess we had a group of 7 arriving shortly. (Totally would've understood if they couldn't accommodate a group with zero notice). We explained we would be out of there by 630 and they made it work! She was great and got us sat right away. When Armando came over I explained the situation and asked if we could order all of the food and drinks at once while we waited for everyone to show up. You MUST order the broiled oysters (these were a hit) salty, cheesy & they melt in your mouth. The rolls were a hit as well. I was in town for a conference and stayed at an Airbnb near by. We were so eager to try Seaworthy as it got great reviews and looked so cute. What a disappointment!!! We went for happy hour on Thursday when we walked in (without a reservation at 4 pm) we were asked if we wanted to go upstairs (we had two bags) so we asked for elsewhere and were put in the "garden" an alley when the restaurant was pretty empty.
