Super nice mom and pop shop in Ballard. I think this place is definitely a hidden gem. They have a wide selection of noodles and appetizers. I love how a lot of their dishes are things that you can't really find at other noodle shops. I highly enjoyed the lamb noodles (forgot the actual name) it was full of flavor and the greens made it less heavy. I also recommend the salad, it was refreshing and crunchy perfect on a hot summer day.

Ballard seriously has some of the best food in Seattle and Sen Noodle is def one of them. This place hits just right! My friends and I shared the Ginger Chicken, Lemongrass Curry Noodles and Turmeric Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup. Honestly every dish hit the spot. But Lemongrass Curry Noodles was my favorite. Veggies and tofu had soaked up the flavor of lemongrass so well. It was light and hearty at the same time. Also the ginger chicken wasnt very overpowering with ginger which was perfect. The Turmeric Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup had a bit of a earthy, peppery flavor which was unique too. Basically food here is 5/5 and so was the ambiance and the service! The prices are standard between $20-25 for the Ballard area! I highly recommend for the amazing flavors!

If you're looking for a noodle fix and live close to Ballard, Sen is an easy choice. They will whip you up something in less than 10 minutes, and it will be better than most of the other noodle spots in the immediate area. The lamb curry noodles were unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The lamb itself is so flavorful and rich on its own, and then they put these little crispy boi sardines off to the side which adds even more saltiness. If you mix everything together, it actually creates a wonderful contrast. And then BOOM and egg appears into the mix, because why not?! If you LOVE SOME SALT, this dish will be outstanding to you. However, if you're having some blood pressure issues - stay away! I thought it was fantastic, but it definitely becomes heavy after a while. Having a fresh roll on the side can add in a much needed respite. Staff was nice and friendly, also ruthlessly efficient. I think that's necessary for any restaurant that's small and packed on a random weeknight. Great work, Sen.

What an amazing place to get not only Thai desserts but Thai noodles! They have a wide range of soups, stirfry, dry noodle soups. Super friendly service and great vibe. Their Thai tea was very good too. I highly recommend this place and would come back.

The Mee Boran Noodles are my favorite dish in all of Seattle. Incredible. The perfect balance of creamy, tangy, crunchy and chewy. I think about this place and this dish way too much. If I could rate it 10 stars I would. The staff is SO FRIENDLY too and the food always comes out super fast. They make everything basically in front of you.

Love love this spot. We go there for authentic Thai noodle dishes you cannot find else where. Our go to is the turmeric noodles with tofu and the duck noodle soup. It's accompanied by the spice rack of chilis and sauces. The service is so sweet and warm always welcoming us with great energy. The servers are always so attentive asking if we need more water or anything else to make our experience better. The restaurant itself is small and gives an authentic Thai restaurant vibe. The bathroom is dark and red but great for babies because there is a full on changing table with necessities in case you need it. Parking is rough street parking with high rates throughout the day.

Friendly service, and relaxed vibes. Both dishes were pretty decent, but I felt the lamb fried rice was missing...more meat? The flavor was really great but there was barely any meat to be found for a dish charged extra high. Noodle soup was good, pretty salty but still light. Portions were really good, we ate for two and had leftovers after.

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW quite the list of GF options with a knowledgeable staff. they prepare GF items separately and take great caution with allergy meals. we got the phad thai, turmeric coconut noodle soup, and the lamb udon special - subbed out for GF noodles. Everything was phenomenal and very flavorful! We ended with some sticky rice pudding with mango. We also shared a Thai iced coffee and I really enjoyed that as well. I did not get sick!

Sister restaurant to Pestle Rock next door which is also one of my favorite original Isan Thai style restaurants in Seattle. I was at the Ballard Farmers Market last weekend and had cravings for noodle soup. I was surprisingly happy that Sen Noodle Bar is still open all these recent years. I used to live in Ballard and it was one of my favorites. While they serve other dishes, I'm here to rave about their variety of noodle soups. My favorite go-to after all these years is still the Tom Yum or Seven-Spiced Beef soups under the customizable section. Yes, you can build your own noodle soup - pick your own broth/protein and noodles. The flavors are so rich and flavorful. The size is perfect and inflation hasn't done too much damage since 8 years ago. The staff are super friendly and there's outdoor seats so you can bring your pooch too. This place is a true hidden gem. It's been around and there is something still very special about it. New places may open up, get picked up by influencers in competition for the newest and trendiest, but those places lacks the charm and depths of these places. If you want a cozy and laid back place to eat in Ballard, come here!

The food the service was all amazing. It was nice having so many vegetarian options that are different than the typical Thai options. We got this delicious spinach noodle with lemongrass, tofu, spicy, and boat noodle, and mango sticky rice and everything was AMAZING

Subtly spicy. You don't notice it until you are halfway to the meal. Unusual Thai dishes with Chinese touches.

The savory fillings also blended super well with the wrapping and were absolutely delicious. Khao Soi was good too but I wasn't impressed- the noodles were not cooked too well and kinda stuck together, but it wasn't major. However seating was a bit confusing as you had to find an empty table and the server would bring you the food. When it was busy the line and wait got messy and it's possible to get your food without having a table so I don't recommend coming here when it's super busy There were around 8 tables and some bar seatings. You can see staff making the food over the counter and the ventilation was done well even with all the stir fry and cooking.

When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
