2 fish taco combo with 1 grilled and 1 street taco with rice and beans

The location was clean and the cashier was friendly. I liked the fish tacos but the beans were too liquified and the rice was too salty. I was disappointed with them.

Senor Baja has always been my go-to for fish tacos when I'm in the IE. Their fish is always fried perfectly and has a nice little crunch to it. Not to mention their Baja sauce is the best! I always get extra sides for my tacos. My family and I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty. They have ample seating for customers which is nice. I got one fish taco and one chicken taco with an horchata for my drink. My husband ordered two fish tacos for himself. He's never been to Senor Baja before and he said he liked the food! Now I will say that their tacos are a lot bigger than I remember and they use a different taco compared to their past. But overall the food is still delicious! I have no complaints other than the price skyrocketing. It's $4.50 per taco now! A bit pricey, but at least you get a decent sized taco for that price. Still a great place if you're looking for some good fish tacos!

Was craving some fish tacos and ceviche so decided to give this spot a try since it was only a 6 min drive from my house! Perfect timing for lunch! I placed my order before they open but for a later pick up time. I came in and they still had not started my order despite the app saying it was received and ready. They were super nice about it though and worked on my order right away. The restaurant reminded me a lot of wahoos. Super casual ambiance. I ordered the taco trio special and chose the hard potato taco and 2 fish tacos. I also got a large mixed ceviche. The potato taco was good. Great potato to hard shell taco ratio. It was good with the red salsa. The fish taco was decent. The tortilla felt a bit soggy. The ceviche was a bit on the dryer sad which was unfortunate because the flavors were great. It does come with tostada and they also give you a side of chips.

Amazing fish tacos! They were loaded with cabbage cilantro shredded carrots onions and tomatoes and the most delicious secret sauce. They give you lemon and a chipotle salsa on the side and if you ask they have roasted jalapeños which are also very yummy. This is our go to hole in the wall fish taco joint. Btw you can do drive thru for quick takeout.

This restaurant was clean and welcoming. Customer Service was super nice. They're famous for their fish tacos and it did not disappoint! I ordered the two taco plate combo, one fish taco and one potato taco. The food was delicious! I paired it with a pineapple agua fresca and that hit the spot! So delicious! Can't wait to come back!

Can't go wrong with this place. Recently got a job here in Rancho and when we all ordered lunch my coworkers suggested Señor Baja and man am I glad I did. This place has flavor, spice and friendly service. Anytime I can I order the Baja style fish tacos combo the staff is always so friendly and thankful for us coming in. I appreciate that. Keep it up!

What a great and TASTY experience! The carne asada tacos were top 3 I've ever eaten. The chicken tacos were equally as delicious. The fish tacos though...WOW. I don't usually eat fish tacos, but this is what they are famous for and I totally see why. Crispy, delicious, amazing sauce. Their customer service was 10/10 as well. I highly recommend!!!!

The best thing we tried was the chorizo hard taco! Next best was the fish taco. My friend had a ceviche and she said it was okay. There was plenty of seating and the price was fair.

Delicious taqueria! Tried as many things as I could eat to get a taste of different items. Fish taco was crispy, tasty sauce, and veggies complimented the taco. The burrito was cheesy, and packed with delicious meat. The al pastor for yummy and a delicious taco. Had the potato crispy taco too, very good! Overall, the spot is clean, tasty food, and nice service.

My husband and I had great fish tacos here. We ordered their famous Baja style taco with a small side of ceviche. They even added extra chiles and the option to do a tostada or chips. We loved our fast service and delicious food. Cravings were satisfied!

We ordered take out from here. The food is always so good so we went for the trusted fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I enjoyed both very much but prefer the shrimp over the fish. A great combo of seafood, tortilla, cabbage and sauce. The seafood stayed crunchy even with the sauce. The chips we got looked a little different than the pics in other reviews. We might have gotten a batch from a store bought bag versus freshly made. The guacamole is fresh and delicious! Enjoyed this to go dinner very much!

Fun place with big sheets of white butcher paper. Big long tables for big groups…read more I had fish tacos and shrimp tacos. The fish was cod and they served a large piece with good seasoning. The shrimp tacos had bay shrimp with the same seasoning. Around us were many groups have seafood boils which is sold by the pound. The savory smells of boil could be enjoyed all through the place. Our server was a nice young man who came by our table often to ask if all was well and consistently filling our water glasses.

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

The flavor and seafood were absolutely on point. My group of five ordered the Snow Star Family Bucket with Full House sauce, and everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. Portions were solid and we all left very full and very satisfied. If I had to nitpick: The mild Full House sauce was a little spicy for something labeled "mild." Still tasty, just a heads-up for anyone sensitive to heat. The fried calamari was good flavor-wise, but it was a bit light on calamari and heavy on fries. Small side note: my wife and I love having boiled eggs with our seafood boil, but unfortunately they don't offer boiled eggs here. Not a deal-breaker, just something we personally missed. Overall though, great food, great service, and a spot I'd happily come back to again. Easily our favorite Star Crab so far.

They provided us menus, pretty straightforward; choose seafood, add sides for an extra cost, choose the flavor, and the spice level. One thing not noted on the menu is that shrimp isn't peeled, but they can peel them for an extra $6. And each order comes in pound increments. No half a pound offered. Your table is also covered with paper so you can eat the seafood boil from there. They provide bibs and gloves for no charge. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meals. Everything was flavorful and, unlike some other seafood boil spots, it didn't leave us feeling like we had heartburn afterward. There's a little sink for you to clean your hands at, which is nice since you dont have to wait for the restroom to empty. The service is what was a bit off. Like we asked for 3 Cajun fry boats but only received 2. Drinks were mixed up, and the clam chowder didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after our seafood bags had already been delivered. If you want ranch for your fries, they charge 60 cents for a small container. For drink refills, they bring a pitcher, but it's the kind typically used for measuring ounces. The server also tended to reach across one end of the table to grab empty cups or pass out food. Since I was seated at the end, it felt awkward having to help pass things down, especially since there were other access points to reach people in our party. We left around 920pm. I only mention it because we were the last group there, and we all noticed the heater seemed to have been turned on. Restaurant sign says open til 10pm on Sat. but we saw them turn off their open sign when we went outside. Needless to say, service could have been better.

The restaurant itself is a small hole-in-the-wall spot with very limited seating, so don't expect to dine in comfortably while you wait. The music gave the place a nice soulful vibe, and I liked seeing the fresh fish on display before it's prepared. Customer service was average. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. I was told my order would take about 30 minutes, so I walked over to the mall across the street to pass the time. I even gave them an extra 15 minutes just to be safe. Unfortunately, my food still wasn't ready. In total, I waited about an hour before getting my order. The good news? The food was worth it. I ordered the fried catfish, fried red snapper, fries, greens, and red beans and rice. The catfish was perfectly cooked, the fries were outstanding, and the greens were flavorful. The red snapper was a little overcooked, and the red beans and rice had a bit too much seasoning for my taste, but overall everything was fresh and delicious. The poor experience began at the host stand. I had a reservation for 1:15 PM but arrived early and was sat at 12:56 PM. Despite my active reservation, when the host led me to the table, she asked if the reservation was under "M." When I got to the table and asked who "M" was, she dismissively replied that they "just put down an alphabet." I told her my name was Will, but she didn't care to acknowledge it or correct her mistake. This cold shoulder continued throughout the meal. When asked about drinks, I said "water for now," and every time I said "thank you" to our server, I was met with complete silence and zero acknowledgment. Once my guest--who is white--joined me at the table, the dynamic shifted entirely. He received 95% of the server's warmth, eye contact, and attention. The only time the server actively engaged with me was to take my physical food order. Even the food had issues--our first crab cake was served overcooked. Because my guest was the one who pointed it out, the manager came over and addressed him to replace it. While the manager's interaction was a bit better, the server's dismissive attitude toward me never improved for the rest of the meal. To top it off, I was the one who paid the bill. When the server returned my credit card, instead of handing it back to me, she chose to place the presenter book directly in the middle of the table. As a business owner, I understand how critical customer service is. The selective attentiveness and dismissive attitude I experienced today felt incredibly biased and completely ruined our lunch. The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.
