I had kinda low expectations for this hole in the wall, but I was wrong. It's ran by two sweet Korean women, one younger and what seems to be her granddaughter. When I visited this afternoon around 2 after visiting the nearby Palace they had sold out of everything except one last spicy pork bowl. It looked good, even though I'd come for bibimbap, I happily bought it for around 9$ and a huge portion. The kind girl behind the counter threw in a free soda to make up for everything being sold out. When I opened it, the delicious bowl already looked great and smelled amazing, but that didn't compare to the taste. This was so good. I've eaten a lot of Korean food, dozens of places from upscale to barely a closet in a sketchy food court and this is really up there. I'm in love and going back tomorrow. Both were very good, but I prefer the spicy pork. The fish cake soup was a nice accompaniment. Not super fishy. The owners were very friendly. At first time, kimbab set -which is 4 small rolls and soup - looks not enough for lunch but after one bite I was surprised that the inside of roll is full of veggies and bulgogi!! 12-20-18 Decided to walk up and try. Looking at the menu board, not much selection but its kimbap, bulgogi, spicy pork, tofu and tuna. Have it your way roll, mini roll or bibimbap. The owner, husband and son were there, really nice people. So friendly! They prepack a lot of it and sell out quick. Get there by 10:30-11 is what I was advised for the best selection. My husband kept telling me how good the food is here and has been going here regularly to support them during COVID-19 closures. I finally made it up here from Topa Financial Center and it's definitely worth the walk! The bulgogi is very tender and each ingredient in my bibimbap had so much flavor. The amount of food was a good portion. Filling but didn't weigh me down. I love the fish cake soup that came with it. It's a nice change from the standard midi soup many places give. I've heard about this place, first time here and the food did not disappoint. I got there after 1:00 p.m. so they had a bowl and one bento left. I got the last bowl n it was so delish and the two women who work there definitely made me want to come back, both the sweetest ever! The bowl had the right amount of rice, perfectly seasoned bulgogi n veggies n yummy gochujang sauce! The fish soup that came with the bowl hit the spot. I want more!! Been here twice for lunch...first time got the bulgogi kimbap (korean sushi), the meat was tender and light on the seasoning. It also came with oden (fish cake soup), the broth was light and not too fishy. The second time got the spicy pork bibimbap, the tender pork wasn't too spicy bit still had a nice heat to it. The namul was green lettuce, pickled daikon, mushroom, pickled cucumber,strips of scrambled egg. The house made gochujang sauce that came with it was bomb, spicy and sweet. It also came with the soup. All in all good eats. They already have kimbap ready, if you just want to pick up and go, as well. Don't go too late for lunch because they do sell out. read more

I'm not a big kimbap fan for starters. This place has changed that. First it isn't big, it would be more suitable for grab and go. Second, it looked like one worker when I came in and she was doing it by hand so most of the items weren't out yet but I wouldn't feel bothered unless you want a huge order. It wouldn't be great for a meal like lunch but make it as a snack that will complement most meals that you may have to pair it with. The location is downstairs in the Remington building. It has a clean decor and the smell of soup will drive you there. Getting the spicy pork kimbap, I was interested with the taste and the flavors weren't too overwhelming like the sweetness didn't cover your mouth. The fish cake soup is a must have especially if you are an oden fan. The best thing is probably the dipping sauce, scary good. Highly recommend for snacking than a meal :) read more

It's a bit of an underrated downtown lunch option. Every meal comes with a simple, salty fish cake soup, like how you might get a free miso soup at a lot of places. My favorite simple easy lunch. I always buy the large Kimbap but my favorite thing is the free fishcane soup that comes with it for FREE! The soup is so delicious and heartwarming. It really feels like your mom made it! The entire family and crew are extremely nice. The place is clean. The menu is simple, prices are good and service is fast. I was just there yesterday and when I saw this cute shop, I knew I had to go in. I saw so many delicious looking kimbap but decided on their bulgogi. To my surprise, I also got a small bowl of soup with it. I proceeded to take it home, where I got 2 pieces of kimbap and a sip of soup before my 2 children ate it all. ‍ Small children can be picky sometimes, but my girls loved everything and asked if we could go back and get more. Food is great, but sells out quickly after the lunch dash. Most of all the owner with her daughter are the sweetest and most accommodating when u have little ones. The daughter first ask me, then gave my kids some sweets and decorated their cups which they held on to for days. They also changed the music to kid music while we ate in the restaurant. Finally able to revisit this place again. I have been craving for their little spicy pork kimbap and got my coworker excited too! I was there at 12:40 and they had already sold out all of their little spicy pork kimbap! I even asked if they can make more and she showed me the empty cockpot and I had a sad face. I managed to pick up their already made regular spicy kimbap, little tofu kimbap and spicy pork bibimbap, all came with the fish cake soup each. The spicy bibimbap is super good! Pretty hefty portion size and I was full at half and saved the other half for the next day. They had already increased their prices. Little kimbap is now at $5.20, regular is $5.90, and the bibimbap was $9-something. So just make sure to bring extra loose change if you are in for the $5 little kimbap. Visiting from the mainland for a week. Found this place on yelp before going on whale watching on pier 8. Good affordable Korean food. We had tuna kimbap, packed filled with tuna, unlike the small dap you see on waikiki musubis. Also had bibimbab and soondubu. Bibimbab was little salty for my taste but still good. hands down the cleanest and most covid-considerate place i've been to since the pandemic started. i came in with a party of 6 earlier today and Seoul Kimbap made us all feel invited and welcomed. the store owners were very friendly, gave us a free entree out of pure kindness, and when we tried to tip them, they refused to take it and insisted that we simply enjoy the meal. the bulgogi bibimbap was very fresh, tasteful, and filling. the whole meal felt like a warm welcoming home hug after a long day. although parking was a bit of a pain, this lil homestyle Korean restaurant made it all worth it. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I never knew that such a small-scale mom and pop store could provide such excellent food and service. When walking into the store, the delightful employees do not hesitate to greet you and treat you as if you were their friends/family. They make sure that you leave the place feeling happy and upbeat and excited to eat their scrumptious food. It can be challenging sometimes finding a good place to have lunch and this small store provides the utmost, perfect solution to that problem. The authenticity of Seoul Kimbap's Korean food is unrivaled by any other restaurant that I have been to. All of their ingredients are fresh and they even have vegetarian options which is very forward thinking and progressive. It is very helpful for those who do not wish to partake in the consumption of meat. So far, I have tried their spicy pork and the bulgogi bibimbap, both of which were exquisite, although I do have a preference for the spicy pork bibimbap. The house special spicy sauce that comes along with the bibimbap adds a completely new depth of favor to your meal and helps to elevate your experience. The spicy pork and bulgogi kimbap are also must buys when coming here. There is so much packed into each one that it was unexpected. Usually, most places will be more stingy about the amount of food put into the kimbap, but not this place. You can definitely tell that an incredible amount of effort and passion is put into making each and every dish. Last but certainly not least, the fish cake soup was just incredible.
