I've always enjoyed Seoul Mix 2.0 because they not only focus on affordable korean food, they always look into health. I remember a worker telling me they don't put a lot of rice into their kimbap because they want to be a little healthier but not adding so much carbs. Yay! And also because something I feel like I get more rice than the actual inside. You'll love the selection of foods that are pack and ready to take out so you can easily enjoy it at home after a long work or shopping day. I was craving Korean food but wanted to eat different side dishes and stopped by this place. They have a variety of bentos, kimbap, and other side dishes. I tried the fishcake kimbap since I've never seen it before. The taste was light and good, which I thought is similar to a vegetarian kimbap. The japchae was okay, and the mild spicy chicken was a bit tough. There were 3 types of Korean chicken: no sauce, mild spicy, and spicy. I had mild spicy and it was just right for me. The staff told my the spicy chicken is pretty spicy. My friend also told me that the bulgogi fries are really good and it's a must try. After work decided to check out Ala Moana shopping center. It is a ghost town , The Makai Market everything is close except Curry house only take out and phone orders available. Later I went upstairs to check out the other restaurants located in the lanai next door to Macy's. The restaurants over there was opened. I stumbled across this particular restaurant only because I seen my friend working there . It's located right between Ahi and Vegetables and musubi cafe Iyasume . I didn't order anything because I wasn't hungry but it looks good . They sell Korean sushi , bento's , Kim Chee pancake and other small dishes. My friend gave me a big tip after 5pm all their bento's are 50% off . Wow that's a deal because their bento's run about $8 - $10 dollars so half of that is a good deal . I'm so sad cause I always come here for their cheese cup bop! But I recently came here and my other half got the Hawaiian chicken bento - first of all I asked for a fresh bento box cause the ones that were outside were cold . But the lady at the register refused to do that for me. And on top of the rude service MY CHICKEN WAS PINK AND RAW IN THE MIDDLE !!!! I went to complain and show them and the lady said "I'm sure you'll be fine it looked like it was only that one piece " ummmm so I get sick from eating raw chicken I'll be fine right??! what kind of customer service is that?? She then proceeded to refund me for that bento and asked if I wanted anything else for free but only pointed to the food that was already left out all day. What does Seoul Mix 2.0 mean? I googled it but I couldn't find anything. It is located in Lanai court across from Macy's in Ala Moana mall. It's not a local style Korean bbq or full traditional authentic Korean food. It's somewhere in between. I tried their Bibimbap ( veggies, rice, sunny side up egg, spicy sauce & sesame oil). If you're familiar with this dish you mix it all up before you eat them. The shredded beef were soft and veggies were just right. I was impressed that it was presentable and tasty too. Sometime you can't expect too much out of these take out joints. But I was pleasantly surprised. I did notice that there were three men running the place efficiently. Me and my best friend were around the area and decided to try this place out. We both ordered the Wagyu bulgogi bowl with cheese. I got mines along with the mango lemonade and she got hers with Watermelon lemonade. I also got the tuna musubi looking thing(I forgot the name of it ). SUPER GOOD! Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was crowded!! The dining area of the lanai food court is sectioned off and you are required to provide your info before sitting down. There are plenty of seats and the workers seem good about wiping down tables after customers leave, I was just surprised to see so many people out at the mall during a pandemic. I tried some fried chicken from here and a green tea. The green tea isn't on the menu yet, but they let me try it out because I inquired about the pitcher on the counter. It was good. They also have yuzu "tea" which is pretty easy to make at home. So is iced green tea, though. Anyway. The chicken was cold and not that crispy. But it was coated in a good sauce. I guess it's both good and bad that they package items and display them for customers to come buy and grab, cafeteria style. I like that I can see what I'm getting and the portions are small enough that I can get a few things to build my own lunch. They even have mini kimbap a that were pretty cute. At the same time, the food isn't hot anymore, so you're better off sticking to just the kimbap. I don't think I'll be back soon, except maybe for a yuzu or green tea. My mom and I were looking for a quick meal at the Ala Moana Lanai when we happened across Seoul Mix 2.0. They have a large assortment of grab and go dishes such as mandu, scallion or kimchi pancake, japchae, pickled vegetables, full-size bentos, and more. I opted for a meat jun bento while my mom got a small container of kimchi pancake. We also shared the soul fries which were topped with beef bulgogi and kimchi. If I had to rate the bento alone, I would probably give it a 1 or 2. I'm sad to say that the meat jun was basically flavorless. Usually, meat jun has a subtle sweetness that is almost teriyaki-like from some sort of marinade. This one tasted like it was just thin pieces of beef that were egg battered and fried with no seasoning. In addition, the kimchi was so incredibly pungent; the sour flavor was too strong even for my taste... and I'm Korean! Thankfully, the soul fries (somewhat) saved the day. They were made to order, so they were fresh out of the fryer - hot and crunchy with minimal oil flavor. The bulgogi wasn't the most flavorful and, again, the kimchi was too strong. Still, you can't really go wrong with meat and pickled things on top of some greasy, salty french fries. If you're looking for a quick grab and go snack, Seoul Mix is a great place because they have a whole slew of items ready to go. However, the dishes I've tried are not the most flavorful, so I wouldn't expect that classic spicy, savory flavor that you may get at other Korean places. read more

Ah my savior from starvation. Need to highlight that Teppanyaki Farmer wouldn't serve me @8:53pm, when their chef was cracking eggs onto their grill and still cooking food. They also had the nerve to tell me, "next time come earlier." So, walked over to the newly opened Seoul Mix and they took my order @8:55pm. Located in the Lanai Foodcourt of Ala Moana Center, between Ahi & Vegetable and Musubi Iyasume, Seoul Mix 2.0 is another great option in this foodcourt. One negative was for some reason they didn't take my Hawaiian Miles MasterCard. Not sure if this was fixed yet, but we'll see. So, how was the food? For the price was very reasonably tasty. Got the Bibimbap with an extra egg they offered me 5 side dishes... WOW! The beef the use in this dish is claimed to be Wagyu beef, not sure if that the beef was Wagyu, but still was tasty amidst my hunger. I was mighty impressed with the presentation of the the whole thiing. Comes in a large paper bowl with the bibimbap on the bottom of the bowl and covering is a tray with all 5 side-dishes! The side dishes weren't special to taste, but to get 5... that's more than a regular plate from a Korean BBQ joint! The 4-star rating is for not really blowing me away in taste. My boyfriend and I came here while we were doing our Christmas shopping. I was craving some Korean food, so I was excited to try this place. I looked on Yelp and saw that they sold Korean tacos and kimchee poutine fries that I wanted to try, but didn't realize they had changed their menu quite a while ago. Now, they sell mainly bentos and other prepacked Korean favorites such as kimchee pancake, seafood pancake, mandoo, kimbap and Korean fried chicken. I decided to get their kimchee pancake which was still hot so I knew they must've just packaged it. My boyfriend wanted to try their wagyu bulgogi bento, but he felt uneasy about the food sitting out for a long time, so he asked if the meat could be freshly cooked and they didn't hesitate to say yes, which we appreciated. We had to wait a few minutes, but I think it was worth it. Besides the wagyu bulogi, the bento came with kimchee, jap chae, two pieces of fried chicken with some kind of aioli sauce and rice. The bulogi was tender, flavorful and delicious! The sauteed onions that came with it added another layer of flavor as well. I also enjoyed the japchae and kimchee. The macaroni salad and the chicken was okay. The chicken wasn't fresh so it wasn't crispy since it was covered in sauce. I'd get this again as it was not only filling, but pretty delicious given it's from a stand in a food court. The kimchee pancake was also delicious! Not super doughy, but had a good amount of kimchee pieces inside. It wasn't super spicy and the sauce they give with the pancake was the perfect accompiant. They give you a good amount for just a few dollars. My only complaint was that it was a tad oily. We didn't expect much, but boy were we surprised! If you're looking for a quick bite, this is the place to go! Though, I wish they stayed open later because closing at 6pm is a bit early especially for those who want to eat dinner at the mall. Whenever I'm at Ala Moana and want to get a small bite, I usually eat here. It's Korean food which I love. There is a good variety to choose from: plate lunches, bowls, sushi, musubi. I usually get the kimbap (sushi) and some kind of side meat. Today, I got the veggie kimbap and side KFC lol. No not Kentucky fried chicken. KFC (Korean fried chicken) spicy. Rice, veggies, and chicken; I was satisfied. Kimbap- very delicious. Veggies were seasoned and it complimented the rice well. Decided to pick up dinner on the way home and this place did not disappoint! Originally thought they'd be closed after checking their hours online but they were open past 6pm. This place offers great grab and go or made to order Korean food in the Lanai food court in the Ala Moana Center. Normally, I'm not impressed with mall food and especially ethnic foods in the mall, but this place does a good job. It is a more contemporary take on Korean food, but it tastes great and reasonably priced for being in a mall. Their Bibimbap is my favorite made to order dish. It is packed with lots of the usual goodies and they offer brown rice for an healthy option. You can also get the japji noodles instead which I prefer since it adds more contrast and extra flavors that match well to the mix. The grab and go selection offers a wide selection of Korean favorites. Their triangle Korean flavors musubi are and excellent quick bite if you don't want much, but got a hunger you need to calm. There are both spicy and mild assorted fillings. A real winner in their grab and go selection is the KFC rice bowl. Piece of Korean fried chicken that are sauced up on hot rice. Would not recommend. I bought a triangular spicy chicken kimbap and kimbap in a container and both were very bland. Majority of my spicy chicken kimbap was wasted because of it's wrapping. The rice & chicken fell out of the nori & plastic while I was trying to figure out how to remove the plastic of the second half of my kimbap. I was very frustrated because the plastic was in between the filling and the nori. The customer service was nice and the prices are fair. I decided to try here with a friend on a Friday night after yoga class. There was a few people in line before us so I had time to look at the menu. I decided to try the Bibimbap with white rice and Hawaiian chicken. The bibimbap comes with 5 toppings and an egg I chose to get bean sprouts x2, carrots, corn and cucumber. The wait was a bit long, probably around 10 mins. When we got our food, we ate it at a table immediately. It was completely cold :( I thought that the chicken would've been at least warm and on top of that, the chicken was over cooked. The bowl itself was pretty big but it was mainly filled with rice. I wish there was a little more vegetables. My friend ordered the bibimbap with bulgogi, but she said that it wasn't that great either. I have always seen this spot and tried it once when they first opened. At the time it wasn't anything too memorable, however since then it seems they have really expanded. If got the kimchee pancakes, tuna kimbap, and beef kimbap. The kimchee pancakes were simple yet surprisingly very enjoyable. Parts of the pancake had crispy bits which made it good. The tuna kimbap was my favorite. I haven't had tuna in kimbap, this was my first time, but I think I may try to get it more often! It was like a tuna Mayo roll but better! The veggies and sesame oil was a great addition! The beef kimbap was also pretty tasty! They got the filling to rice ratio right, I just wish it came with a little chili sauce. :) I also saw a lot of people purchasing their pre-made bentos, so I'll have to give that a try next time! Just a quick shopping for holiday at alamoana mall and my legs are getting tired so we stop at the food court which was THE LANAI @ALAMOANA and I saw them opening and I tried few things. Shrimp tempura kimbab It was pre-made roll with some vegetable and shrimp tempura on it even-though the shrimp wasn't crispy but! When I took the first bite was super yum!! I'm korean and I don't usually see that shrimp tempura inside kimbab in korea (maybe more Hawai'i local style just guessing) but!! It's super delicious! I got surprised with the kimbab. The vegetable were crispy, enough seasoning and the rice texture was like korean taste plus the shrimp was huge. Dduckbokki -this dduckbokki was too over cooked. The taste of sauce was delicious but I guess it was seating on the display too long maybe? So wasn't hot either. Even the oden was so mushy. It was very filling, fresh, and tasty! My boyfriend's BBQ Pork was good. The chap jae they provided though, was kind of stiff. It was hard and kind of a turn off, honestly. Anyone ordering french fries wants them fresh and the 3 or 4 minute wait was completely worth it! The Seoul Fries come with your pick of protein and I was happy that I chose the spicy pork. I'm not sure but the meat also seemed cooked to order along with round onions which got that tasty kochujang flavor too. Mmmmmm! Add perfectly spicy napa cabbage kimchi, crema, and a jack & cheddar mix and WIN! (I picked off the chopped onions and wished there was more cilantro.) Friends said the bibimbap bowls weren't that interesting and that the banchan pickled stuff wasn't tasty. First came here on a hunt for some new food locations and ended up in the lanai. Saw they had something called 'kimchi fries' for 8$ and wanted to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. Seoul Mix has become a comfort food location for me, and everyone I've recommended it too has enjoyed it just as much. They have a big selection of food, including spicy which is perfect for me. The workers are always so friendly and quick with their service. There's parking right outside the Lanai. There's no Wi-Fi but there is a public bathroom in the Lanai. This place is located in the new "The Lanai", which is in the old shirokiya space, mall level. So right outside macy's, mall level. The Lanai has been crowded every time I have gone here. First time I saw Seoul Mix and I love Korean food so we decided to give this place a try. My husband and I both got the BiBim stack. You can choose 2 bases - brown rice, white rice, japchae (clear noodles), or salad. Then you chose your meat - wagyu bulgogi, hawaiian chicken, gochujang chicken or gochujang pork. We both chose the brown rice/japchae and bulgogi which killlllled me because I always want him to order something different so I can try it. And no way was I gonna change my order, lol. We also got the egg on top which was an additional $1 (but really good, especially if you love eggs like I do). You then get to choose a ton of sides - soybeans, fishcake (looked a little like aburage to me), kim chee, kim chee cucumbers, mac salad, bean sprouts, and few other items that i was not super familiar with. We enjoyed everything, the food was good and was a pretty good amount for me. The only thing was that it took a little long because they make it to order. Come early at 11 and skip the wait. My order came out in five minutes. This bibimbap is seriously good and they put plenty of sesame oil in it and tons of veggies and lots of gojuchang sauce if you ask for it. I didn't need to ask bc I think they could tell I was korean by my round face and they just slathered with gojuchang sauce the way I like it. My bbb today has lots of delicious mushrooms in it. It's a deal for $10. Plus plenty of seating in a cool air conditioned cafeteria. The proprietors are korean and friendly. They also run shabuya in the mall as well. I have to say that when I saw a Korean restaurant in the food court I was excited to give it a try. After placing my order it took a really long time to cook it. I ordered the bulgogi, which should cook rather quickly. I think it was a good 25 minutes to wait. I think that they are still trying to figure out their front of the restaurant system as well. A lot of people were ordering lemonade in a pouch. The lady didn't quite know how to keep track of who the lemonade was going to and asked me multiple times if I ordered one. She also wasn't sure who needed to get in their order for the 5 sides. It was very unorganized. Note that if you want hot sauce or side of sauce you need to note it when you order. There is $1.00 charge for the sauce. When I finally got my food it was very tasty. I liked the seasoning on the bulgogi. I had subbed out my rice for salad. The salad had a sesame type Asian dressing on it. It also comes with japchae that was rather chewy in texture. You could choose 5 sides for a regular (mini does not come with sides at all). I chose broccoli, bean sprouts, choi sum, radish, and cucumber. A lot of their sides were vinegary. For the price, about $12, it was rather expensive for the amount of food you receive and the timeliness that you receive it. I think that you are mostly paying for the presentation of the food (a bowl with the toppings laid in a separate container that falls right on top of the bowl). Very nifty idea, but not so cost effective for customers. This would not be my new go to Korean bbq place, but it was nice to give it a try. read more

Seoul Mix really listened to their customers. When they first started they have a totally different menu. There were issues , and people were not shy about it on yelp. Fast forward to present day. New menu, new items, great flavors! I just want to let you know, your hard work & all your efforts did not go un-notice. I thank you for not putting out high sodium foods. I can really taste the food itself. I love your bentos, so many choices. I will keep coming back for your amazing Bentos. By the way, the staffs were all eager to help and just friendly people. Very rude customer from a cashier with glasses and overbite. We were next in line, could barely see her, I had to ask if she was open cause she didn't even bother calling the next customer in line. She rings my item, puts it on the counter and pushes it across! She grabs a pair of chopsticks and literally slaps it on my order. I look at her like WTF, and she just shrugs her shoulder.
