These guys are a joke. Not only do I not recommend this moving company, I recommend that you run and stay away from this group. Like many other posters I found myself sitting with a cost that was almost 4x the original quote. Yes, you read that right. The "crew" was too two guys to move a two bedroom about thirty min away. They dumped all of my belongings and overcharged for boxes used for packing. The quote stated the rate included packing and that packing materials would be at a "very competitive price", which should have been a warning. In the end they used as many boxes as possible and charged $7-$12 per regular box, which retails for $2.88 and Lowe's (same brand). They took 12 hours to do the move and I didn't have them move any appliances, sofas, or dining room table/chairs. The only furniture was two desks, two twin mattresses, a file cabinet, office chairs and a hours plant they nearly destroyed. Unbelievably slow workers who were clearly milking the time and in the end I just had to tell them to just unload my goods in the garage and get out. They ended up dumping most of the goods out wardrobe boxes into my gargle loose so I get the fun of bringing each item in individually. Heed the warnings from other reviewers and run away from this unscrupulous company. Just don't do it. read more

Scammers, quote one price and triple the price after they have your items. They hold your items hostage until you pay them cash only to have your items delivered. They stole all the electronics that were stored in the original boxes. They re taped the empty boxes and put them at the back of my storage unit and buried them with other items so I wouldn't realize that they were stolen and empty. Some of several damaged items packed by them: chip in baby grand piano, broken etched door panel of in-laid server cost $500 to replace, broken leg of corner table that is irreplaceable, broken leg support of Lazy Boy reclining chair, broken corner of bedroom side table, scratches front of Drexel wall book shelf, missing hanging folder rods of file cabinet, broken upright vacuum cleaner. They arrived around 11am to deliver. Lots of time was wasted discussing payment, $6,000 plus. Phone and written instructions stated cash or Post Office money order. I had Post Office money order. Lead worker, through phone calls with his supervisor, insisted I pay cash which I did not do. Unloaded hurriedly. Difficult to inspect every item since it was way past sunset. Five bedroom, 2500 sq feet home belongings stuffed to the ceiling of a small truck plus a small Uhaul truck. This was cross-country move. Wow, just wow! Such incredible service from Antonio and his team. From the beginning, I requested a quote on Yelp and the company got back to me quickly with detailed information. After comparing prices, we felt Seventh Generation was most competitive as they only charge you for the plastic and bubble wrap you use vs "Unlimited" which can be pricey. The team arrived promptly and got to work, wrapping everything carefully. They made sure to be mindful of the wall and covered the items with rugs or plastic wraps and fo delicate items, both! The team was very patient and worked with us until 1 AM to get everything moved over and completed every request of shifting things until we felt it looked just right. I would not recommend this company for moving if asked for a recommendation for a moving company. Seventh Generation Moving & Storage moved us from California to Arizona in May 2023; they transferred our household items to a different truck and placed them in a warehouse as we could not move into our new home for a week after arriving in Arizona. They damaged my grandfather clock that is over one hundred years old (it was moved all over Europe and the States with no prior damage. They got my old jukebox out of adjustment due to their improper packing and rough handling. I have no idea who to call here to fix the damage done, there is no one listed that can repair the grandfather clock or jukebox in this area. They lost a box of our belongings plus a new ladder I had just purchased. I have three emails promising they would deliver the ladder and box they located them in there warehouse. I'm still waiting, their customer service has disappeared, will not respond and I was not given the name of their Insurance company so I could contact them for damages. read more

SUMMARY: Estimators at this company grossly under-quote to gain the business then you are stuck with the bill when the expectation is not met. My total cost was 177% of the quoted costs. Far beyond budget. DETAILS: I looked around at many movers and talked to a few. This Seventh Generation ask about the move and I described in details the items we had. They suggested we add another mover to the reservation in order to make the move faster and he talk about how this would save money. With three movers I was quoted 2 hours to load the truck, 1.5 hours driving (x2 for drive time) and 1 hour to unload. I put all the boxes of the move on the ground floor days before the movers came in order to speed up loading. This unfortunately did not help. The movers took 5 hours to load the truck, 2 hours to drive (x2 for drive time), and luckily I was able to rally some friends and family to unload in order to limit my unload time to 1 hour. The movers took more breaks than myself, or my friends and family. They could not maneuver furniture around corners or stairs well, including trying to force a couch that was too wide for a railing through the narrowest section. When I called the office to better understand why expectations were not met, the person at Seventh Generation implied I was responsible for his low estimation and I should be happy I used them because a competitor would have charged me more for the overtime. Again, I explained the move and all the furniture to the company before they quoted me, so I don't find this excuse even marginally acceptable. read more

The Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) makes it illegal for companies to include standardized provisions that threaten or penalize people for posting honest reviews. The company, Seventh Generation Moving, in violation of the CRFA, attempted to intimidate me to sign a typed form saying no negative review to be posted on social platforms -- in order to fully unload the truck and demanded full payment before completion.. The move was the most horrible experience ever, especially for a senior citizen. There was no professional supervision by the foreman or "boss", as he was called. Further he would not acknowledge any damages, one damage happening in front of my eyes, of a dining chair's side arm coming loose as the mover ripped off the packing material. He refused to return to pick up a glass mirror I discovered was left at the storage facility. Items were randomly dumped in the space of my condo, blocking paths and doorways with hardly any access to my kitchen. My instructions of placing a dining table and a 2-door cabinet in identified spots were ignored. They made it easy to book through exchanging my information on Yelp and even rescheduling my appointment when I needed it. Antonio and Walter were my movers. They were professional and worked incredibly fast! They took great care of my furniture and disassembled and assembled my furniture well....something I absolutely hate doing myself. I hiered this company because they offered the best deals and for a great price. Since the first call I got nothing but excellent customer service all the way. Antonio and Walter were the moving crew that helped me in my move. Allways with a smile on there faces and a great sence of humer. I wish i could give Negative Stars. DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT USE this company. They are theifs and Liars. They will give you a quote in the beginning and sounds amazing and everything. Than what happens is they end up using a 3rd party to move your stuff. I'll get to that in a second. But Eagle Moving Group Lied to me about everything. Our quote was around the $5000 mark, so for moving to another state that sounded great. Well when the guys came to load all our stuff on the day, we find out its a company called 7th Generation that would be moving our stuff across country. Well all of a sudden after they loaded all our things into the truck he tells us this is going to be another $7000 to move all our stuff. At this point we had not other option. These guys ended up breaking multiple things of ours, losing boxes of clothes, we even ended up with some other persons clothing and half of their couch. Yes Half of their Couch. We filed a complaint, put in a claim and they are only giving us $200 for our broken china, dresser, a $3500 machine they dented, and a lot more things. My honest suggestion about this company, please stay away from them. They came on time to pick up the stuff. But the main guy David jacked up my estimate by almost 100%, I didnt have any choice to accept it. David said to me that "lowest price is not always the cheapest price". This company give a fairly good estimate so that you sign a contract with them. Once they get you on board they increase the estimate minimum 100%. So beware add 100% on top of there estimate. On the day of delivery, they left all the wrapping trash on the curb and didn't pick up. These guys are junk stay away from them. Go for a company who gives realistic estimate. read more

Interesting how this company had 5 stars and then in July of last year it dropped to nearly all 1 star reviews. I have to concur with all the 1 star reviews here, although our biggest complaint is with the storage and management. THey were subcontracted through Blockchain. There moving fees nearly doubled once the move was done. We had one month free for storage, but they never told us what it would cost if we stored our stuff longer. It wasn't on the paperwork and they never contacted us to disclose. When we called them a few months later, they quoted us a high, but competitive price to other moving & storage companies, so we accepted it. When we went to have it moved a couple months later, the quote all of a sudden doubled in price. They are now holding our stuff hostage and telling us we have 14 days or we automatically give them rights to our stuff. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!! This company rummaged through the entirety of my belongings and stole what they pleased. No box or bag was left intact, and many boxes had garbage left inlace of my actually stuff. Only about 10% of my belongings were actually delivered, and of the items that made it, they were all damaged in the range of scratched to completely smashed and unusable. Other people's boxes were mixed in with mine, so they did a completely sloppy job at labeling and securely handling the cargo, on top of searching everything for theft. The company claims they took exactly the maximum amount of time allotted by the contract to make the delivery, but it was over two months before the truck finally showed up and the driver demanded an extra payment before he would even open the latch so I could see that my stuff was indeed inside. Surprise to me, it wasn't. I could tell something was wrong from the first phone call where they missed the quoted expected delivery date. It was obvious that the company was lying and evading questions about the status of the delivery. They kept claiming the trucks were broken, and it was a headache trying to contact them each time, with them answering the phone sporadically only to give unhelpful and unprofessional responses, while waiting and trying to track down where the shipment was. If you are even considering using this company, I would advise you instead to put all your belongings in the nearest dumpster instead. That would offer you a better outcome that using this company. The employees were extremely negligent and it is very clear that they are only looking to fill their own pockets with whatever they can find from people's stuff. The level of loss I experience from hiring this company is on par from suffering a natural disaster that forces you to rebuild all your possessions from scratch. Words cannot describe what a horrible experience it was to deal with this company. On top of moving which is already stressful, to deal with the nightmare of waiting months while being lied to on the phone, and the horror of opening the truck and seeing broken item after broken item, I feel like I need to see a psychologist to recover from this experience. Nice people, however, it was a shit show from the beginning. I called USA Moving Solutions, whom is a broker, unbeknownst to me. Again, nice people however they charge a fee, to subcontract your move. They gave me a quote based on the items I said I needed moved. They quoted me 600 cubic feet, which seemed kind of small to me, but what do I know. They called me back a few days later to see if I had anything extra, I needed to add. I told them, just to be safe please add another 200 cubic feet. I asked how they transport plants and ammo. He told me they do not transport live plants or ammo. First red flag. They quoted me a crazy amount of roughly $1800, for an additional 200 cubic feet. I asked how they got to that number based off $4.75 a cubic foot. He broke down the fees which included a "customer service" fee. I explained that his customer service was less than acceptable, to which I should receive a discount. After it was all said and done, he lowered the fee to roughly $950. Knowing my plants and ammo would not be moved, I knew I would have to get a U-Haul at this point. All the above was conversation with USA Moving Solutions. The movers from Seventh Generation Moving and Storage arrived on the agreed upon date. After the supervisor looked at my belongings that I was quoted for, he said 600 cubic feet was not going to be enough. Keep in mind I had already removed my washer and dryer and BBQ from being moved, even though it was in my original quote. He told me he would charge me an additional $500 for the items I was quoted. Told him I was not going to pay a penny more, as I already must rent a U-Haul. His team wrapped and moved the agreed upon items. After the truck was loaded, I was advised it would be 3-21 days before I received my belongings. I told him on the contract I signed it stated 1-5 days, based upon the miles. He said per DOT we have 3-21 business days. Second red flag. I explained to him again the contract I signed stated 1-5 days and that the DOT days should have been on the contract I signed as that seems to trump (no pun intended) the days to deliver on my contract. After not hearing from them for 2 business days 4 calendar days, I called Seventh Generation. I asked when I could expect to receive my belongings. I was given the run around and told they would have to take somebody else's belongings off the truck to get me mine. I told him, that's not my problem, you need to figure it out. I was told I would receive a call two days prior to my belongings being delivered. Two more days go by and no call. I call them back and was told I would be receiving a call from the person delivering my belongings. I got a call and was told they would be here on Friday between 1-4. He asked if there were any stairs. I advised one flight. He said the first 7 stairs were free and it would be $75 for each additional seven stairs. I told him in my contract it said the first flight of stairs (no number) was included. He said okay not going to make a big deal out of it. Third red flag. I made arrangements to be at the delivery location on Friday during that time. At 1530 hours, I received a call from the driver telling me they had an employee call out, he was several hours away, and he would be there Saturday morning sometime. Not happy, but fine. Would have been nice knowing this in the morning as I had to rearrange my workday. I got a call Saturday morning and they showed up a brief time later. Nice guy, however, the first thing he did was count my stairs. There were 16 which at this place is one flight. He said a flight of stairs is between 7-12. I told him I have never heard a flight of stairs being 7, usually its 10-12. He advised there would be an added charge of $75. I told him I was not paying him a penny more. I told him it was between him and the company how he was going to get paid, but it was not going to be from me. He said he was going to have to call his boss. After the call he said I had to pay if they were going to unload my belongings. I asked for his boss's number. I was provided the number and called him. After going back and forth and providing a picture of the flight of stairs they agreed to not charge me. All my belongings were brought in. However, my bed frame was broken, the top of my entertainment center scratched up, refrigerator door dented, roll away toolbox top turned on its side. Pictures were taken of all damages, and I will be contacting Seventh Generation to see how they handle. Side note, the items they wrapped and packed were broken or damaged. The items I packed, and they moved received no damage. Moral of the story is, Seems they want to give you one price, then show up and see how much more they can get out of you. I would like to say that I am a real person and not paid by Seventh Generation for this review. I had to move from CA to 2800 miles away. My initial contact with them was a bit sketchy. Some of my phone calls were not returned but this was during the XMAS holidays. Once they confirmed the move they showed up on time with 3 very hard workers. They told me it might take up to 14 days to complete the move. Almost to the day, they called me at my new home to tell me they were coming the next day. Unfortunately, they could not drive their 53' long semi onto my dead-end street. I had to pay extra for a shuttle service. I thought the extra dollars I had to pay were more than fair as it was my fault that I never assessed the ability of their truck to access my home. Seventh Generation was contracted by a moving broker called Allegiance Moving. Seventh Generation demanded another $6K from us on the day they arrived to start loading our belongings. Said we had 900 cu ft more than what was quoted. The original quote was for 2 26ft trucks. The second truck that arrived was only 18ft and they were able to load the remaining items in a truck that was 8ft smaller. That math does not add up. We feel they took advantage of us due to the time constraints of having closed escrow on our house in California. read more

If you're gonna take any advice from the reviews take this one. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Your property will be tarnished by the end of move in day and the workers seem to be working at the slowest pace possible. Meanwhile they will smoke instead of attending to their job properly. Broken property with no remorse or will to fix the issue. The one who works at the office is also beyond unprofessional and should not represent this company as he has terrible customer service. The movers were beyond rude and unprofessional, not to mention Brian who especially has the worst customer service. Terrible movers and company overall. Broke several items without care or compensation. Broke fixtures attached to the house. Damaged fridge and many more. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Brian should be fired. read more
