We recently had Sgt. Pepperoni Pizza for our office lunch. We had a variety of pizza, some with meat and some vegetarian ones, and two types of salad. One of the salad was very unique. I haven't seen it anywhere else. It was a mixture of greens with some hard boiled eggs and something that looked like ham and cheese rolled into a pinwheel shape. I didn't order so not sure what that was, but it was pretty good. Most of the pizza were good but the ones with meat and pepperoni ones were too salty.

Sgt. Pepperoni's has been my go to pizza place. While their regular pizzas are a solid four starts, I'm upping my rating to five stars because their pizzas of the month have been amazing! My favorite is their 'Shroom Pie with a cream base, fontina and mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms and arugula and herbs. It tastes like a pizza from some high end gourmet restaurant. Their Al Pastor Pie is a close second. I like Hawaiian pizza but this is even better with green salsa, mozzarella, al pastor, pineapple, caramelized onions, with a guac drizzle and cilantro. Highly recommend if you like Hawaiian pizza! Service is always good and friendly. One day I'll have to eat there and enjoy a beer!

This has become one of my fav pizza spots in OC!! The Al Pastor pizza was so good that we ordered it twice in one week! Sad it'll be gone at the end of this month, but excited to see what the July pie of the month will be! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Sgt. Pepperoni's has a great atmosphere, the workers are friendly, and it's a nice spot to grab lunch/dinner with friends and family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Decided to try this place for the first time. We ordered the all-meat pizza and unfortunately it was very salty and extremely oily. Maybe we picked the wrong pizza, but honestly even Domino's tastes better to me. The only things we really enjoyed were the salad and garlic knots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, and the place was VERY loud -- seriously, bring ear plugs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The chairs were also very uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another issue was the pizza crust couldn't even hold the toppings -- if you folded a slice, everything just slid right off. I don't like leaving 1-star reviews, but I just wasn't impressed and won't be coming back.

We were looking for a place to watch the Mexico World Cup game and Sgt Pepperoni came up. I called to make sure they were there showing the game and they were. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was great to watch the game as they had TVs outside and inside to watch and they were able to turn the volume up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got an entire pizza and a drink for us to share. We got the super bee (no franks hot sauce) and we loved it! The flavor was great. The crust was our favorite! We really enjoyed this location and will be back. We want to try their salads and pepperoni pizza.

Italian Sandwich - Salami, Ham, Pepperoni, Provolone, Creamy Balsamic, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion

To be honest, when my old coworker mentioned how Sgt. Pepperoni used to be one of his go-to pizza spots in the area, I was a little skeptical. Not because I don't trust his taste or anything (I certainly do), but because, given their close proximity to the UC Irvine campus, I couldn't help but wonder if they were actually good or more like the "great when you're drunk and in college, less so when you're an adult" type of good. Thankfully, I can legitimately say this place is a whole lot closer to the former and far from the latter! [[HIGHLIGHT]]At a glance, Sgt. Pepperoni may not immediately look very impressive, but this place is awesome. Inside, the restaurant has a couple of TV's airing various sporting events, a small bar area with a variety of beers on tap, a few picnic tables and high tops, and a great outdoor patio area which is perfect for those warm Irvine days and nights[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. As for the menu, it's got a terrific selection of house combinations. In total, there are over a dozen different types to choose from, not counting their featured pizza of the month and the build your own options. If you aren't in the mood for a slice, they also have a handful of appetizers to choose from, as well as salads, sandwiches, and desserts. -- THE WORKS - Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Black Olives, Sausage, Meatballs, Garlic, and Parmesan Pretty standard version of a classic supreme, but the meatballs made it seem slightly meatier. Yet, even though I only got one small chunk of it, I still thought this was really good. The ratio of each topping was spot on and I love that they didn't skimp on the pepperoni. -- BRONX BOMBER - Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Sausage, Jalapeno, Mushroom, Garlic, and Parmesan Given how similar the toppings are, this felt like a lighter version of The Works. In this case, while I do wish the toppings included some kind of vegetable, I liked the slight kick of the jalapenos and how this one felt a bit cheesier in comparison. -- MEATBALL RICOTTA - Mozzarella, Ricotta, Stan's Famous Meatballs, Garlic, Parmesan, Parsley, and Sauce Nothing amazing yet no less solid. Unfortunately, my slice only had a small dollop of ricotta and just a few pieces of meatball, but I liked how creamy the former was and how meaty the latter was. Plus, this was so cheesy! -- NASHVILLE HOT PIE - Crispy Chicken Tossed in House-made Nashville Sauce, Mozzarella, Pickles, Red Onions, Hot Honey, and Nashville Sauce This was the pizza of the month, but they should make it a permanent option because it was so good! The chicken was crispy (it's not fried), flavorful, and moist on the inside while the pickles, onions, honey, and sauce complemented each other so well. I'd come back just for this! -- ITALIAN SANDWICH - Salami, Ham Pepperoni, Provolone, Creamy Balsamic, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion To be honest, I had minimal expectations for this, but it turned out to be pretty awesome! Not only did this have a good amount of meat in it, but I actually really liked the bread - airy, light, and crusty yet not the least bit dry. Delicious! Across each of the pizzas I've tried, I thought the crust on each of them was terrific - on the thin side (yet not too thin nor too doughy) and I liked how both the bottom and rim were really nicely browned. In addition, the other thing about Sgt. Pepperoni that stood out was the staff. Each time I've been here, the workers have all been so friendly and I appreciate how honest one guy was, in particular - "personally, I wouldn't bother with that one because the special is way better". Far more forthcoming than I expected, but the man was right! From the food, to the workers, to the space, to how their prices seem pretty reasonable, Sgt. Pepperoni is just a dope pizza place to have around, whether you're a UC Irvine student or not. Plus, I love how they have deals as well, including a lunch special (11am-2pm), which ranges from a slice and a soda to two slices, a salad, and a soda, as well as Happy Hour deals (slice and a beer/wine) and 50% off pitchers and bottles of wine. Not only a nice way to save a few bucks, but even more reasons to come in! FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now, but don't be surprised if this turns into a five one day!

Super tasty hazy ipa on tap

We were down in Newport for a conference and decided to check out Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza Store as it was in between the two hotels. They sell pizza by the slice but we opted to get a 14 inch 1/2 Meatball Ricotta and 1/2 Super Bee. They were both super delicious. The Super Bee had just the right amount of heat and the Meatball Ricotta had delicious blobs of Ricotta and red sauce. You definitely need to get the free homemade ranch to dip the thinner crust in. You order at the front counter and they bring your order to you. The front counter guy was knowledgeable and friendly. They also have some great beers on tap as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating with a small game room in the back for kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great place for a beer and a slice after work or to watch the game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    MEATBALL RICOTTA THE WORKS
    Emily H.

First time at Sgt's and I tried their lunch special: 2 slices and a drink. I got the Meatball Ricotta and The Works. My boyfriend wanted to try their specialty pizzas, but next time I think I'll just stick with the pepperoni. Definitely a quality spot for pizza! The slices had a great crunch with a thin crust, which I really liked. Their pizza reminds me of New York-style pizza. There was plenty of parking, and the workers were really friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was great! They had cozy outdoor seating and it was lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely recommend!

Sgt. Pepperoni is an awesome pizza spot. The pizza comes out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious every time. They offer a wide variety of flavors and toppings--some fun and unique options along with the classic favorites, so there's something for everyone. The service is friendly and quick, which makes the experience even better. One of my favorite things is the crust--it has the perfect thickness with a great crunch that really sets it apart. Parking can be a little tricky or crowded at times, but it's manageable and totally worth it for the pizza. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to!

The Capri Pie (December 2025 flavor of the month) 10/10 delicious!

I will avoid this location in the future and instead go to their Newport Beach location. The reason is that this location NEVER has my pizza ready on time. It's one thing when it's always 10+ minutes late and I haven't written negative reviews for that. However, tonight it was 23 minutes past my pickup window and they weren't even apologetic. The worst part was they told me "just 10 more minutes" so I waited around and my kids were with me and then it was another 13 minutes so 23 minutes of wasted time. If they would have just been honest and told me it would take an additional 20+ minutes past my scheduled pickup time (I ordered online like an hour before!) I could have ran another errand or got my kids something to do or anything but just waiting there and waiting and waiting really sucked. I love Sgt. Pepperoni's pizzas (their current pizza of the month Capri Pie is delicious, as are all their pizzas!) but the service is soooo much better at their Newport Beach location I'll just go to that location instead.

Checked out Sergeant Pepperoni's in Irvine and it was such a hit! Im not even a huge pizza person, but this was worth every dollar! The service was really good, and it definitely didn't hurt that the guy at the cash register was also working the bar and was super hot. The pizza was amazing. I love that they have a great mix of classic options and more unique specialty pies. My little cousins could not get enough of it and were basically inhaling every slice. Based on what we had, here are the standouts: * Meatball Ricotta: This was a favorite. It doesn't have a traditional sauce base, but it's loaded with their famous meatballs, creamy New York ricotta, and fresh garlic, topped with dollops of marinara. * The Works: A total classic for the table. It's got the "roni cups," bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, black olives, sausage, and meatballs. * Sweet Heat Sausage Pie: This specialty pie had a great balance of flavors with chicken sausage, roasted red peppers, and gorgonzola on a garlic aioli base, finished with a drizzle of smoky chipotle aioli and fresh fennel. * Garlic Knots & Wings: We also grabbed some of the knots and wings, and they were the perfect side to the main event. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a great family friendly spot to grab some phenomenal food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was delicious and better than the acclaimed Slice House we're accustomed to. I wish we lived closer. The Super Bee was my favorite.

This is my first time at Sgt. Pepperonis Pizza since th Tustin location closed. I ordered the two slice with soda lunch special. My slices were Meatball Ricotta, and Pepperoni. The pizza was delicious. Two slices aren't enough. I need to order a whole pie next time. The service was really good, I definitely need to come back. You need to return to Tustin.

Been wanting to come here for quite a while and it did not disappoint. Only wish we came sooner…read more Decided to sit in for the Caesar salad and take home the pizza for later. Chewy was our pleasant waiter, very friendly and attentive. Fresh cold water when we sat down and a nice short easy menu to peruse and decide from. No frills, no uneasy decisions. Simple greatness is all that's needed. I'm guessing every table gets the Caesar salad, which was a botttomless pile of fresh lettuce, tons of delicately grated smoothe Parmesan cheese, delicate crumbles of breadcrumbs, with an absolutely decadent Caesar dressing - pleasantly spread throughout the whole entire plate of goodness. Next time I will try the fresh loaf of bread sliced thick with a bowl of cherry tomatoes. Whoa that looked great. Every plate that walked by us whispered 'try me' next time!! Saved the salami Calabrese pizza for home directions on the box which provided the most perfect texture for a reheated pizza we've ever had. Delightful! The pizza. The crust. I can't even believe a whole table while we were eating there skipped the crust of the whole pie. You can't! That's a sin! Greatest sourdough pizza, dare I say delicate but hearty? Perfectly crisp yet soft where it's necessary. I can't wait to try more flavors. Such an adorable place at 'the Camp' -quaint yet plenty of seating outside too for a larger party. It's all you need for a perfect slice of heaven! Thank you Folks! We will definitely be back!

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would…read more We had an 8:30 p.m. reservation for three people, but only two of us ended up coming. For some reason, that became an issue because they weren't sure where to seat us in case our third person showed up later--even though we repeatedly told them not to worry about it. As soon as we sat down, our waiter told us the kitchen would be closing soon and asked if we had any questions because we needed to order quickly. He even told us we had two minutes left to place our order. Since we knew the kitchen was closing, I ordered a pizza to go at the same time as the rest of our meal so it would be ready when we finished eating. We ordered the bread and labneh, wings, and three pizzas. The bread and labneh was the only thing we genuinely enjoyed. The wings had such a bad smell that we boxed them up immediately without eating them. The pizzas were disappointing as well--burnt, with toppings that didn't taste fresh. To make matters worse, our two dine-in pizzas came out at different times. After we finished eating, paid our bill, and packed our leftovers, we waited for the to-go pizza that had been ordered when we first sat down. We were repeatedly told, "Just three more minutes." Then someone else explained there was a "cooling process" for the pizza and that's why there was a delay. At that point, we had already finished our meal, paid, and were simply sitting around waiting for an order that should have been ready. I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member walked over to who I assumed was the manager, and from where I was standing I could clearly see them talking about my daughter and me through the window. Eventually, a very kind employee came over, apologized, and politely explained the pizza process again but it didn't change the fact that we were still waiting. At this point I left informed enough about process that I can just go back to the kitchen and prepare my pizza. She also told us the manager was busy on the phone handling another situation. Based on how the evening had gone, I wasn't surprised. When the manager finally came over, we explained everything. His response was simply that it's normal for a pizza to take 30 minutes or more. I reminded him that I had intentionally ordered it when we placed our dinner order because we had been told the kitchen was closing in two minutes. I even had text messages to my son showing I had asked him what he wanted before placing the order. He then insisted the kitchen closed at 9:30, despite the fact that we had watched the kitchen being cleaned and shut down around 9:00. He showed absolutely no concern, offered no apology, and seemed genuinely confused about why I was upset after waiting 30-40 minutes for a pizza that should have been prepared while we were eating. I told him I wasn't going to argue with someone who couldn't see the problem. I let him know I'd be sharing my experience online and asked for his name. He proudly replied, "Logan," and seemed to welcome the review. Restaurants earn repeat customers through great food, great service, or ideally both. Unfortunately, this place delivered neither. Aside from the bread and labneh, the food was poor, the customer service was even worse, and the manager's complete lack of accountability was the final disappointment. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. I also added photos to depicting the burnt crust hence the cooling process from the torching of the pizza and the basil that looked fried as well Mind you this is not our first time eating pizza out but definitely the last time at Folks!! As far as Logan and his handling of the situation he needs to go back to being a server, or take some hospitality training or fired!! I also want to note the smell of the chicken , I noticed other customers mentioned weird smell of the food. I think the food and health organization should be informed about their kitchen Hopefully this review will save people from going to this restaurant that really doesn't care or believe in customer service! I can't imagine this place lasting much longer. It's definitely a one time and never again experience!! Also please note this was not about wanting anything back I had already paid and packed. So we were not expecting a credit or anything but maybe some kind words and an apology instead of the humiliation we received and the training on mediocre pizza making.

My first visit years ago was a major disappointment, but a return visit for a someone's birthday…read moreconvinced me to give Angelina's another chance. Ever since then, we've come back repeatedly because the food has been consistently good, and it's become one of our regular spots whenever we're craving Neapolitan pizza. And the Burrata e Tartufo is still the biggest reason we keep coming back. The combination of creamy burrata, truffle, and a well-executed Neapolitan crust never disappoints. During our latest visit, we also ordered the Margherita, which was simple and well done. We also started with the usual focaccia and meatballs. The meatballs continue to be one of the highlights of the menu. For pasta, the Capellini alla Checca was fine but nothing particularly memorable. The Rigatoni alla Genovese con Manzo was the pleasant surprise of the night. It didn't look especially appetizing, but it ended up being rich, comforting, and full of flavor. We also ordered a few cocktails, and while I can't remember exactly what they were, they were well made and complemented the meal nicely. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overly formal, making it a great spot for either a casual dinner or date night. The main thing keeping this at four stars is the service. It's been consistently slow every time we've gone. Thankfully, we haven't had a repeat of our first visit years ago, when our food had clearly been sitting a while before it made it to the table. If they can tighten up the service, I'd have no problem bumping this up to five stars.

After waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, I called to check on it and the girl who answered was rude and dismissive, insisting I had only ordered 55 minutes ago, even though I had proof it had been almost two hours. She even said, "Do you want me to explain it so you can understand?" which was completely disrespectful. I asked to speak to the manager (I think his name is Chase). When I called again at the two-hour mark, the girl answered still with an attitude, I was told they had to remake my order. Then the girl handed the phone to Chase, He apologized, but never explained why this happened after such a long wait. I asked to cancel my order, but instead of honoring that, he kept pushing a 40% discount. At that point, I was just tired, hungry and defeated. We regularly spend $120-$150 on pizza every other Sunday, and trying to find the best pizza around there, but after this experience, we will not be ordering again. I did like one of the pizza I ordered, but I refuse to put myself in that situation again. The issue wasn't just the delay, it was the lack of professionalism and respect on handling this. Took 2 hours and maybe 20 or so minutes to finally get my order

Weekday 7pm reservation for a birthday…read more The hostess gave us an option of indoor or outdoor seating upon check in, which was nice since it didn't ask on open table. Server was quick to come by and get our drink order and tell us the specials. Bread is complimentary but came out cold. Food was ok. Nothing wrong with it really but not amazing either. I tried all 3 things ordered. The caccio e peppe spaghetti was very al dente so it made it hard (literally) to enjoy the sauce, I wouldn't have been able to eat it if it was my dish. The tagliatelle bolognese was the best in my opinion; the pasta was cooked perfectly and the meat in the bolognese was tender and flavorful. I did find it to be extremely salty and greasy though and I usually like salt. The pizza sauce was good and we upgraded to the mozzarella di bufala, no complaints from my husband even though it looked like mainly sauce and came out kind of sloppy. The outside is pretty, open and airy. Got a birthday dessert after asking the server, even though it was noted on the reservation. Overall, our experience was pretty average.
