I still love this place. We were here for dinner which was priced at $39 for the basic one. We were there around 8pm and they did mention they'll have their last call on the bar. But they were also nice enough to tell us if there are anything we would want from the bar even if it was already close because we were there late. I love their hospitality and going above and beyond for that. They were always asking if we needed anything or extra meat. The staff is definitely well trained and love that about them. They even set aside ice cream cones for us despite having the bar close. They have a parking garage also street parking is free. The AYCE price is also good not too expensive. We would definitely come back here on my birthday so we can get cake meat! We also did a Yelp reservation/ waitlist ahead of time so by the time we were here our table was ready. read more

Most of the new Chinese hot pot places had 90min wait and we found Shaburina only with 4 parties ahead of us on waitlist. We used to go to Swish Swish before it really went down hill, and i found Little Lamb to be underwhelming. First off, this place is very clean. Gentleman on waitstaff who helped us was super cheerful, and friendly, compared to many of these places where you had to beg them for help. We ordered the premium meat option, and we were impressed with the quality. We selected the broth of the day, Chicken and Scallop. It was very savory and flavorful. We didn't load up at the bar but the bar offers shrimp, fish cakes and a wide variety of veggies. They have a soft serve ice cream machine which is included in the meal. Saw an ad on IG for all you can eat weekday lunch special for $18.99. I thought it was an amazing deal, so quickly came in to try it. The ad was a bit misleading. It is not an AYCE deal. You have to pay for every meat tray on top of the $18.99 base. The true AYCE starts at $35, so I opted for the true AYCE. First off, I didn't like the burner for the hot pot. The burner was sooooooo weak. It took a millennium to bring the soup up to temp at the max settings, and it wasn't even hot enough to cook my meats appropriately in a quick hit and run fashion. Every time I dipped in meat I had to wait minutes rather than seconds. Sad experience. Maybe I had a faulty burner? Service was a bit absent as well, there was limited checking in to see if we wanted more meats. Not the situation I want when paying for AYCE... I will say though that the meats here are quality, very tender. They do thinly cut. There's a self serve sauce station to make your own creations. We came in around 8:30 PM on a Friday after a long drive from Portland, just looking for good food that was still open! When we walked in, a server let us know that the buffet table closes at 8:45 and meat service will stop around 9 pm so that everyone would be out by 10 pm. We decided we were hungry enough that we could eat quickly. So I had the sukiyaki broth and my partner had the spicy miso, then were sat in some comfy booths. We loaded up with so many different types of tofu, vegetables, and noodles at the buffet bar. He got us our meat pretty quickly. He was also so kind and helped us grab more vegetables after they'd closed the bar. As well as a second set of beef, though we were full after the first set! I'm being very generous with the review on this one because Im giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was opening day of their promotion so they got flustered.... This is my first time here and after hearing raving review, we decided to check them out. Today was the first day of their lunch opening and they had a lot of promotions going on so it was busy. It was pretty hectic as the restaurant filled up and it was getting pretty loud but not too bad. Service: for the most part it was fine, they had people filling water, cleaning up, bringing food out and a person to take your order. However, the person who took our order wasn't even familiar with the menu so when we had questions he didn't know how to answer. We also got a free perk for checking into the deopbap but never redeem it because he had no idea how... We ended up getting the sukiyaki express hotpot and a rice bowl (separate review on deopbap). The hot pot came with everything already in the soup and you get a side of rice and a drink as well. The menu says we get a choice of rice or noodles but you actually get both. We also didn't have any fish ball in our soup which the menu says we were supposed to as well and the king oyster mushroom...so that was disappointing. However, the most disappointing part was the broth..it was soooooooo sweet. I usually love the broth and would drink it all or take it home for left over, but this one was bad. After a sip I was like no. The hotpot came out decent time but the rice bowl took super long. We ended up sharing the hot pot and finish it before the rice bowl came out and what makes it worse was the guy next to us ordered the rice bowl after us and got it before us... I enjoy the medley of choices provided for the buffet bar. The wontons are surprisingly not bad and I love that I can grab as many quail eggs as I want without having to bug a waiter. The meat selection is generally great, I've had a couple trays where the pork tasted slightly more gamey than I was anticipating and the cuts are sometimes thicker, but in general, always good. In short, I enjoy coming here and can see myself making the trek here if I was in the Redmond area. Normally comes with 2 beef and 2 pork, then you can add just beef only or mixed, whatever you like. Fyi: your whole party in your table must order the same type of meat, either house or special. Soup: there's 4 regular consistently there, plus 1 daily special. I like my regular base, kinda lightly sweet. Most of the items are frozen items, except for fresh veggies. Restroom is available in the back, somehow I think they share restroom with the restaurant next door. You have 1.5 hour to complete your meal. Place is always clean, I like it. I Normally try to avoid dinner or weekend, pack with people. Apparently, they have cook appetizer in the menu, I never try them. Veggies/others: all you can eat from the counter. I've been here many times for dinner and it is always SO good. Probably, my fave hotpot restaurant in the city. I've tried both tiers of meat and think the lower tier (house course) is my preference as it gives you the most bang for your buck. Tip: you can ask for specific meats as you go if you don't want everything each time. I also would recommend the buffet only option if you really enjoy veggies and seafood! I find the buffet only to be plenty delicious and I like not feeling pressured to eat as much meat as I possibly can. With all the options in the buffet and sauce bar, I think you can have a very nice meal this way. Recommend going early as it can fill up fast. Great service, good quality additions, delicious shabu shabu experience for all ages! We came here for a family reunion dinner due to our love of meats and hot pot. It also felt like a great value for all their offering. We had a party of 7 and one baby. They were very child friendly, provided a high chair and even offered our little a plate free of charge (apparently it is height based, so check if your little is charged before going). The food was GREAT (I was so excited pictures slipped my mind). We started off with a plate of each cut of meat including pork and beef to try them out, but regardless they let you order as many of the type you like. The wagyu beef cuts were by far my favorite, but the kurobata pork was bomb too. While your shabu broth is being prepared you go to the toppings bar to add other veggies, tofu, noodles, dumplings, squash and also the sauce bar to make any dipping sauces you fancy. Then it all comes together in the perfect unending shabu shabu experience. But when it does end they provide a delicious ice cream cone to go to top off your overstuffed feeling. The service was excellent. The servers were kind, understanding of us having children, and on top of getting everything we needed efficiently without us having to wave them down. They also offered great suggestions. The price was reasonable with their offerings and AYCE at $55 per person. The catch is the whole table has to eat the same thing. The location is convenient and parking in the garage is validated and easy to find. Overall, a great shabu shabu experience and very kid friendly which is a plus.
