I liked the size of the burger as well. It was not so big, but not too small. This was 490 cal, which probably would be burned off while walking and shopping around the century city mall. Shake Shack is one of my favorite burger spots and I definitely think it is better than In-N-Out by far. I've been to multiple locations and they are always super consistent in taste and service. It's usually really crowded whenever you go so finding a table can be a little challenging, but the wait for the food itself isn't too bad. My go-to order is always a Shroomburger with cheese fries. The Shroomburger is the best thing ever. It has super fresh veggies and a mouth-watering mushroom patty with melted cheese in the middle, all on a perfectly toasted bun. I'm not a vegetarian and I haven't tried the actual meat options at Shake Shack but this is my go-to every time. That is how amazing it is. Also, I'm usually not a fan of cheese fries because it gets a little too salty and heavy after a while, but the cheese sauce at Shake Shack has the perfect balance. Honestly, I was expecting a lot from the hype around Shake Shack. I'm not necessarily dissatisfied, but I'm not as in love like I expected to be. We went at a pretty good time where the line was nonexistent so we waited like five minutes, which apparently is really good for Shake Shack. I ordered the Shackburger and I didn't think it was anything special honestly. Don't get me wrong, the burger WAS really tasty but it was pretty small and paying almost $6 for it was definitely not worth it. If the burger was a bit bigger, then it would've been much more worth it. What I'm trying to say is that for the price you pay, it's not worth it in my opinion. The coffee Fair shake was pretty good too. Really really strong coffee flavor but it was still really good. Also pretty expensive for a small size. Also ordered some cheese fries. I really did not enjoy the cheese flavor on top of the fries. I'm not sure what kind of cheese was used but I just did not enjoy it that much. It's not that it wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't order cheese fries again. Overall, the food is good but it's ridiculously expensive for a burger joint. The quality of the burger in size and meat quality is poor compared to In-N-Out Burger. Also, the prices are quite high for the bigger size. for the price of the shack burger at the century City Mall, I can get a full combo at In-N-Out Burger. I am from NYC and I have had Shake Shack there a few times and it is one of my favorites. I tried it here and it was...dun dun dun...DELICIOUS! It resembled the original (can't say the same thing about Halas guys who after moving to CA they suck here, nothing like the real thing) The Shack burger is juicy, nicely charred and so well fused with the cheese and the soft bread. It really just all becomes one instead of layers and layers of ingredients. I honestly can't explain it but it is ONE hell of a burger. The second best thing here? the CHEESE FRIES. That cheese is no joke. We got it to go inside the theater and there is something about being able to dip the fries in the cheese rather than have it doused over. TRY IT. Shake shack just won me over. I was a In-and-Out guy till about 20 minutes ago. Stoped by for a quick bite. Ordered a single hamburger with onion, lettuce, pickles , and shake sauce fries and an ice tea. This has got to be one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Trust me I know burgers. I didn't get this body by eating salads. Very juicy meat, soft buns and crisp lettuce. Pickles are nice thick cut onion was just right amount. Don't get me start on the fries. Yum yum. ansdhake Shack executes a solid burger, with very flavorful and juicy meat...but I officially think In-n-Out is better. There I said what everyone is always thinking, the age old controversy. First let me say SS is very tasty and I really enjoy it. I also like the meat better and think it's a little bigger and slightly more flavorful patty than In-n-Out. But In-n-Out is the whole package, the more 'well rounded' of the two. The buns are toasty and less greasy than SS, the meat albeit slightly smaller is still tasty and fresh, the sauce is delish, the veggies are more robust and fresh, and the price is much more reasonable/cheap vs $5.69 for a cheeseburger at SS.....NOT worth it. SS wins in the Battle of the Fries though. Their crinkle cut fries are yummy - crinkly and crispy in all the right places, lightly salted, and hot. I like these better than In-n-Out fries fo sho. Service is friendly but just a touch slow for a fast food joint. Nothing bad but In-n-Out is definitely faster AND uber friendly and chipper all the time, even when its crazy busy lines out the door. Im pretty sure In-n-Out only hires uber nice and cheerful high schoolers ;) SS wins in the drinks/milkshakes arena hands down , with different milkshake options that sound AMAZING and made with real in ingredients vs powdered tasting. Why won't this location wrap up To Go food? They plop it in an opened paper tray and put it in an open bag. The food is cold by the time you get it home. Beverly Hills sends their food in covered individual boxes. It's delivered and a hamburger and fries retains some heat. Finally got myself some Shake Shack in SoCal after they have been popping up all over the place. The line wasn't as long as when they first opened and they moved pretty quickly. I got the Shake Stack and the Chicken Shack. Both burgers were solid but they felt pretty heavy. Compared to In n Out, the burgers are roughly 2x the price and the veggies don't have that fresh crunch. I probably would come back if there's not an In n Out nearby! This shake shack is an average experience from food to staff to cleanliness of store. It's located inside the Century City Mall and is usually pretty crowded. At least every time I walk by it. I came here for a shake and fries after seeing a movie. I also got the chicken bites. The chicken bites were a bit oily and the fries are average tasting fries. Never seem to come out hot - always just warm. The shake I wanted was sold out so that was a bummer, but I got the salted caramel one which was creamy and good overall. Again the organization seems to need some help and all the garbages were filled to the brim and everything just seemed dirty. It was towards the end of the night, but you would expect they would have started night time close out tasks. TL;DR: Overpriced, low-quality hype. Skip the food, go for dessert. Pro-tip: order from the app from anywhere in the mall so you can skip the line, shop, and pick up your food when you get the text that it's ready (even though they send that text a little early). I really don't get the hype. Try it once to see what you think but man I don't get it. They use the same single leaf sad lettuce that come on a big mac, I found the meat to be slightly bland while my friend thought it was good and we felt the other way around with the buns (I liked the buns' texture. It was similar a Hawaiin dinner roll, squishy with a nice buttery flavor). It was on the smaller end of burger sizes (diameter and fillings wise). The fries were ehh, I felt like I could've made better fries out of the frozen back. I prefer my fries on the crispier end while these were more for soft fry lovers. The cheese fries weren't that special either, just slices of cheese melted on top. Also, the grilled cheese is amazingly tiny, maybe the size of my Galaxy S6? It was just bread and cheese, which we knew but in case you were expecting tomatoes and/or onions, no. What I will positively say about Shake Shack is that they have good shakes and I will try their frozen custard at some point. The shake wasn't too thick that you couldn't drink it or needed water, but it wasn't so watery that it was a milkshake either. I got the black&white and the chocolate didn't overpower the vanilla, it was a nice blend. The workers seemed rushed to get the orders out, but they were also fairly nice. It's kind of crowded at the pick-up area so I wouldn't recommend waiting around there. Also, might I mention that it is overpriced. $5.69 for a single Shackburger, $4.99 for a Hamburger, $2.99 for fries, $5.99 for a shake and $3.79 for their measly grilled cheese?! Literally just get McDonald's or better yet get some In-n-Out and pay less than $8 for a Double-Double and Animal fries. Or if you're in this mall, try out Wexler's Deli or get some Chipotle. As for Shake Shack, skip it. Overall, I will never go back for a burger or fries there, but I will try their custards. read more

This Shake Shack is basically the LA spin off this East Coast hit. I've only had Shake Shack in NYC and it is a lot greasier in NY. If it's not dripping grease is it really a Shake Shack burger? This particular Los Angeles Spot is a cute idea... their burgers here are up to par with NYC however they are significantly dryer. It is like the guilt free or less guilt version of the NY locations. Overall was a nice experience. If you haven't had the nyc locations then you'll probably be comparing it to an In n Out burger, that is not appropriate. These are totally different establishments with different attributes.. each are their own style. Nothing can compare to In n Out. I'm happy that Shake Shack can make "protein style" burgers just like In n Out. Their milk shakes are still the best I've ever had particularly their strawberry shake. I only come here nowadays for the hot chick'n sandwich if I'm really craving it because it's so much more worth it to get a more filling cheeseburger for a fraction of the price elsewhere (hey, In N Out). Again this one where I'd like to give a half star to the review. The food was good overall. The fried chicken sandwich has nice and crispy chicken, a delicious potato bun and the pickles add a great tart and acidity to cut the herb mayo nicely. The burger, well it's not going to be my favorite, but the meat was over cooked for sure and my burger had way too much of the peppers, that it took over the taste and I had to take some of it off as I was eating the lettuce wrapped sandwich. If you want to taste the world's saltiest fried chicken sandwich on the face of the planet, this is it. I took one bite and it tasted like kidney failure. But seriously, it's ungodly salty to the point of being obscene. I tried dousing it in honey and removing the insanely salty pickle, that didn't even help. I loooove fried chicken but I couldn't stand more than a couple bites. That's really saying something for me because I am someone who prefers food to be a little bit salty. I'll never eat here again. Came with my girlfriend after we caught a movie at AMC. Ordered 2 burgers, 1 order of fries, and a shake. The total came out to $30. I ordered the shack stack which was $10 alone (aka more expensive than a double double meal). It was a cheeseburger with a fried portabella mushroom patty as well. The mushroom was very greasy and didn't add much to the burger in my opinion. The burger itself was decent/a pretty standard cheeseburger. The location itself is great though. Located near the food court in the Century City Westfield Mall which has been recently renovated. Shake Shack is really good. They have burgers that you won't find anywhere else and they will have your food ready pretty quickly. I do think that the line outside is a bit of an exaggeration at times and I wouldn't stand in line for that long to eat there. But this is also because I know that there are times when you don't even have to wait 10 minutes to order your food. In short: if there's no line, definitely try it and you won't be disappointed! We were excited to try the food, ordered to dine in and were waiting for food but our 3 year old was getting tired so we decided to change the order to take out. I told the person taking orders to change this and patiently waited. The food arrived and it was in a dine in box so I asked the other person who gave me the box to give me a bag so I can take out.
