This was the worst dining experience I have had in many years. We went there thinking that we could find dinner items for our young grandsons. The hot dogs were so tough that my grandson had to pull so hard to get a bite that the meat slipped away from him and fell to the ground. They had no bottled water, failed to provide us with straws for our shakes and had zero napkins. When I asked for a second coloring page so that both boys could have one the rudest young man angrily told me that I would have to wait because they were in the back. And wait I did. There was alot of people at the door so I figured it must be good. I was starving and placed my order, they had my order sitting at the counter for 30 min and me waiting for what felt like forever because of their system. They just come out and yell out people's names randomly and have you wait outside for your food. Their system to give out orders is a mess and know I know there's alot of people not because the place is good but because the place is a mess and very unorganized. Everytime I order from shake shack they mess up my order. They forgot some of my food and didn't give me any sauce or ketchup which I paid for. When they do delivery they also NEVER seal the bag so the food is always ICE COLD by the time it arrives. We finally got a chance to try "The Shack" and it is more than just hype! The shake burger and cheese fries were amazing and can't wait to go back. From the quality meat, to the soft Martin's potato roll, it did not disappoint. Yes, it's not cheap, it's crowded, and customer service wasn't that friendly but that's easily overlooked once you bite into your order. It's actually a fair price considering the quality of the ingredients and the location. I've grown up an In-N-Out fan and Shake Shack is equally impressive, albeit a different experience. Waited half an hour for food and when it finally came out it was cold. They refunded the order and made us new ones but this was such a crazy time sink. It's my first time here and maybe it's a one off mess up but this is meant to be fast food or fast casual. Pretty crazy to wait this long for anything. Even once the burgers came out (again), they just weren't executed properly. The bun on the hot chicken sandwich was cold (like from the fridge) and my shackburger was missing the onions and pickles I'd ordered. Sure the meat on the shackburger was pretty tasty and people rave about this place, but having to wait a total time of 45 minutes for incorrectly prepared food (that's how long it took including the refire) is far too long. Usually love coming to Shake Shack, but they messed up my order tonight. Among the items ordered, one was a Smoke Shack with tomatoes, lettuce, caramelized onions and pickles; another was a Shack burger with caramelized onions. I instead received 2 standard Shack burgers. I used the carry out option and opened the bag in front of the store to check my food. All of the items were there, but I didn't check the food in the actual packaging before I left the restaurant. Might be better to go to In N Out where it's easier to check your to go order food is correct. Had a really bad experience with a mobile order at this location. I got the text my order was ready so I go to the pick up area and show the employee the order on my app and ask if it's completed yet. He was rude and said, "Did you get a text your order is ready? Then it's coming." Didn't even look at my order or my name or anything. As I was waiting, I saw him say the exact same thing to everyone that came up and asked for his help. 20 mins later, I asked again because a lot of other names that came after me were being called, but not mine. He said the exact same thing and didn't check with the kitchen or do anything to help find the order. I waited another 20 mins (total of 40 mins for an online order at this point) and finally went to the cashier and asked about it, she looked around and pulled a bag from the side THAT WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME. She was rude too and said, "The ticket didn't print a name so we just put it to the side and didn't call it out." If the first employee just took a quick look at my order when I first arrived or was helpful enough to ask the kitchen, there wouldn't be a problem. Really poor customer service that acted like they didn't care, definitely will not return. read more

The burgers here are amazing. They are so fresh and delicious. The shakes are god but very filling and i am usually only able to finish half of one. I have been waiting for this place to open since last March when it was announced and i have already been here twice this week! To me, it is tied with In N Out for best burger. The 2 burgers are both amazing and very different. At Shake Shake, everything is much more expensive but the quality is a little better and the restaurant itself it a little fancier. The parking for this Shake Shack is the Westfield Century City parking garage. As a loyal and devout In n Out stan, when I heard about Shake Shack years ago in NYC as the "In n Out of new york" I had to try. I think calling any thing the "In n Out" of anything will make red flags go up for all loyalists. SO of course when I tried it in NYC and paid 2x the amount of a normal In n out meal I was appalled!! However, I think stand alone without such comparisons Shake Shack is pretty good. -Shack Stack. AKA a cheeseburger with the 'Shroom Burger patty. I was really pleasantly surprised by the portobello mushroom patty... I didn't realize from the menu it was a breaded pocket FILLED with mushroom and cheese... SO GOOD!! I think if I come again I would get this since its pretty distinct to their menu. I'm also impressed by things that I definitely can't cook at home and the portobello mushroom patty wasn't as simple as I thought it would be! -Black & White Shake. Delicious! they make their custard fresh each day, and I liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet but very thick and creamy! Finished the whole thing with the help of a friend.. hehe -Fries. I'm not a huge fry fan but I like their crinkle cut fries. I didn't order my own but nibbled on my friend's. They have a nice crunchy exterior and soft interior! -Also didn't bring my pup but ADORABLE there's a menu for dogs :'(. I saw a dog inside the restaurant so I'm guessing its pet-friendly! Price Point: I admit it isn't the cheapest (i.e. compared to In n Out) but it was pretty tasty. For the Black & White Shake and Shack Stack I paid around $15. Location: Shake Shack is on the second floor of the Century City Mall (which I love). Parking: For the whole Century City mall parking is free only for the first hour but cheaper with validation. Unfortunately restaurants don't validate, just certain stores with a purchase (Bloomingdales), AMC, and Gelsons. We watched a movie after and it ended up costing $4 for parking for 4 hours. SPECIAL TIP: you can buy AMC movie tickets for $10.50 but you have to purchase them through shake shack, and they will give you a voucher with which you can buy a movie ticket. Always wanted to try Shake Shack and finally got the chance to do so. I would always walk pass it every time I go to work and it's always packed, luckily for me I went one hour before closing time and it wasn't packed but still had people. I ordered the Cheeseburger Shroom Burger, which was like the Shroom burger but with meat, and a side of fries with a drink! The food was quite delicious and the drink (it was the Fifty/Fifty, half lemonade half organic iced tea) was amazing. The cashier was super nice but my only complaint was the lady that gave me my food; she didn't greet me and just tossed my food towards me. The service was ok. Not quite on chick-fil-a's level. The SmokeShack burger was great 8.5/10. The ChickenShack burger was good 7/10. Fries were ok 6/10, crunchy but not too crunchy, not my favorite cut. Water cups were standard. Free ketchup and Louisiana hot sauce. The buns have an excellent feature where they are closed on the bottom to collect any juices from dripping, great technology. I normally slurp them down because they are so tasty and the chocolate flavor is so good. But at this location, the shake didn't taste anything like the other locations I've had. I like that they have seasonal shakes, and it's good, but it wouldn't say it's the best ever. And the food is okay, nothing really special. We had an incredible experience... we brought our 95 year old Aunt out for the first time since Covid had started for an afternoon lunch... As we stood in line a wonderful woman, Tee, told us to go ahead and sit down and she'd come over and take our order at our table. The patty was dry and not fresh and juicy. The fries were hard and didn't seem fresh. I was pretty disappointed. Great restaurant to stop at before or after your shopping spree (or window shopping spree)!! I've been to this mall a few times and usually stop at shake shack bc for some reason I'm craving burgers every time I go. And then you walk by this place and it just smells so bomb, you can't just keep walking. Listen to your senses! I usually get the shack burger (bc I'm basic when it comes to burgers) and I've never been disappointed! It's always perfectly cooked, I've never had any complaints about the taste or seeing any pink colors after biting into my delicious cheeseburger. The lettuce is always nice and fresh. Their sauce is amazing!! Idk what's in it but mannnnnnn. Fries are always CRISP. Very fresh. Any time I get their fries, it seems like they've just gotten out of the fryer. Must try them. I don't think I've had anything else....their shack burger and fries are good enough for me. They have other options and different stuff to throw on your burger but I've never explored the other wonderful creations they've concocted. The customer service is excellent. Always upbeat and friendly to everyone they interact with. They're overpriced in my opinion...it's really good but they should take it down a notch. So glad they're right in the middle of the mall! I have a previous review about Shake shack that I had written for another location but I had a different experience at this one. First off, this one was packed compared to the other location. I ordered a double shack burger with no sauce. When I received it, it looked big and juicy and super appetizing. I shared it with my other half and we were almost fighting over it. I enjoyed the flavor and the amount of cheese it had. My last review said In n Out was better but this is by far better than In n Out. Okay so everyone compares Shake Shack to In n Out so I walked in here thinking everything was going to be about the same. But it's not. This place is pricey, they have a big menu, they sell beer, and the quality of the food is different. I've ordered both the SmokeShack and the Shack Stack, regular fries and bacon & cheese fries, and a couple different shakes. Everything tasted great! I was a little disappointed with the size of the burgers, especially because of the price. What especially kept me coming here was their service. The first time I came, they gave someone in my group vouchers for a burger and shake because they had ordered a peanut butter shake but were out of peanut butter. The next time we ate there, an employee would offer to refill everyone's drinks and help in any way possible. I was VERY impressed with this place. Overall, this isn't a place I would eat at as often as In n Out, but I would definitely come again. read more

The burger is very tasty and I throughly enjoyed it but the cost of my slider burger was a total ripoff. Every item is ala carte which makes for a super expensive meal while not getting your monies worth at all. So if you want a good meal worth every penny then I suggest going to In n Out because you'll get a good bundle worth of food at an awesome price. I fell in love with Shake Shack on a trip to NYC, it was long before Shake Shack made its presence in LaLa Land. Other Shake Shacks, Hollywood and West Hollywood have fallen short on living up to the the NYC Shake Shack, but this location did not disappoint! The line moved quickly. I modified my burger, it came out correctly the first time. The food was hot and fresh. The burger was super juicy. The restaurant was clean as well as the restroom facility. A special thank you to the lady who was walking around taking trays and maintaining the cleanliness of this restaurant, she was so polite to everyone and went above and beyond when she noticed I had dropped my car tIcket.
