We were so excited that Shake Shack came to Redlands! We were lucky enough to find a parking space near the entrance. The parking was packed because they recently opened. We couldn't order online from home because they didn't set up their system yet, so we just dropped by instead. We loved the convenience of ordering our food at the kiosk. As we looked around the place, there wasn't an empty table to be found, so we took our order to go. Of course, our family ordered the Truffle Burger, which it my family loves. Then of course you had to get the fries as well. They didn't have our favorite Tiramisu shake because that's a summer flavor. Overall, we only had to wait ten minutes to get our orders. Not bad considering the place was full. The workers definitely were busy and yet still friendly serving everyone. We'll be back. read more

Our third time at a Shake Shack, first time at this newly opened one. My burger was great, and my black and white malt was perfect. My wife enjoyed her bacon and cheese hotdog, but her shake was a stronger chocolate than she liked. She asked at the counter if they could "fix it" and the y offered her a new shake. She declined their kind offer, as she didn't want to make a deal out of it. After thanking them for the offer, she returned to our booth. The manager (I assumed he was) showed up 2 minutes later with a perfect shake that was the exact blend she wanted. Kudos for customer service above and beyond. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed and decorated, at great effort as we knew what it had looked like in its previous life as a Corner Bakery. Decided to give the technology side of Shake Shack a try today by ordering via the mobile app. There is a promo right now so wanted to take advantage of that too. I ordered at 12:45pm with estimated pickup time of 1pm for 4 burgers and 1 cheesy crinkle cut fries. I arrived a few minutes before 1pm and walked up to the counter. Showed the cashier my order number and name. She just stared at my blankly until I asked, "How long until my to-go is ready? I have a pickup at 1pm". She looks over to the completely empty tiered rack on her left and says, "We'll call your name and put it on the rack. Please wait until it's ready." Keep in mind there were at least 6-9 other parties waiting for their to-go orders too. One lady was there even longer than me had ordered a shake and soft custard. I noticed the employees prepped those first over the hot food which is odd. Those things melt. By the time I got my food 20+ minutes later, the same lady asked for hers and requested they remake her frozen items. They were totally ok with giving melted shake and custard. Wild. My burgers were cold. The only item relatively warm were the cheese fries. They have only been open for 4 weeks now and need to really get their ordering system figured out so people aren't waiting for cold food. Also, I see very little positive call-outs in the kitchen. No lead shouting out orders or prioritizing things. Front of the house and back of the house need to work in tandem to get things smoothed out and literally in order. read more

Art helped us make our selection and explained the menu. He was very attentive and made sure we had the best experience as first time buyers. We'd never been to a Shake Shack before, but were looking for a late night stop on a road trip. When we walked in we were greeted by three employees. The young lady who took our order answered our questions politely and with a smile. As we sat waiting for our order we noticed that the location is kept clean (and we later found the restrooms to be clean too). Their gluten-free bun is on the better side of average. Pretty stoked there is now a Shake Shack and In & Out in Redlands. It's hard to decide which one I like more. I feel the quality of meat is better at Shake Shack and the melty cheese is nice as well as more choices like a mushroom burger and veggie burger are a plus. I stopped by today as i had just read in the news that they had the top rated hot dog, even over Portellos. I had also read recently that they had one of the top rated smash burgers. This Shake Shack location is the worst one I have EVER been too. It's barely busy yet more than half the time I'm being served the wrong food or they screw up my order. I've never had any issues at other shake shack locations before, something about the employees at this Redlands location just suck. When food is this pricey, I shouldn't be missing items, having my order screwed up, or having my burgers look like someone threw them in the bag. I only know them through what I have read about then online and from their mobile app I have on my phone. I know the burgers here are really good. I would not recommend going here to eat everyday with the way their prices are, just use it as an occasional lunch or a once in a while treat. You can get the mobile app through the Apple App Store if you have an iPhone like me or see if Google Play has a way to get the Mobile App from them. You do have to pay for your order at the mobile app, but it is easy where can walk in get your quickly and go on your way. The only thing I am not sure is these places have drive thru's. Not sure this Shake Shack is gonna make it with their location & burger competition in Redlands with these prices. Went on a Saturday around 530pm & it was pretty empty. Upon entry cashier asked if we were ready. We said that we were still looking. Then when we were ready to order, no one was available even though no one else was ordering, so we went to the ipads. Process is OK but takes longer. Then we had beer on the order so we had to let a cashier know, then they get a code & have to enter it. Finish the order & put my email in for the receipt & iPad just kept spinning. Long story short, order at the counter. Took around 10min for the order in an empty restaurant which was weird. Food flavor was good, patties well seasoned and flavorful. I think you gotta have a double patty for a good meat to bun ratio. Fries crispy but could've been hotter. Beer came by the pint with good microbrews available from Brooklyn Brewery & Smog City. Service was good, almost too good. Staff checked in 4-5 times during the meal... that's a little much in my opinion but good effort. Lastly, the prices are INSANE! For our family of 4 adults, it was $90! I mean even without $15 in beer its still $75 for 4 burgers, fries, & 2 drinks!? That's almost DOUBLE In N Out while also only slightly less than full service bar burgers from Eureka & all the other downtown gastropubs. Unfortunately, there's no way they can justify those insane prices... we'd rather hit In N Out or the gastropubs. Shake Shack is hopelessly stuck in between. read more
