I love their chicken shack with bacon and avocado and the smoke shack has great flavor. Today's fries were perfectly crispy.

Shake Shack has opened up in the Prasada North shopping area near Costco and Target in Surprise, Arizona. I have never tried Shake Shack before and decided to go through the drive-through for a quick lunch on the way home from errands. I ordered: - ShackBurger - pretty decent burger with double patty that tasted charbroiled, double American cheese, sliced tomato, curly lettuce, and shake sauce - Fries - these are crinkle cut fries in a cardboard covered container. I would've liked them except that the grease used tasted old and it threw off the flavor. - I tried to order a banana pudding shake, but they said they were all out. My drive-through server asked if I would like sauce, and I asked what they had to offer. He named a ranch, honey mustard, shack sauce, mayo, ketchup, mustard. I asked him if I could try a ranch, a honey, mustard, and a shack sauce. All three were in my bag when I got home. I enjoyed trying each. Ranch and honey mustard are still my favorite. I think my daughter would like the shack sauce because it tastes like a mild mayo.

I've been to a few different shake shacks including those back in the city (New York) or even Denver's locations and this one was abnormally warm inside, the floor had trash and food on it like no one has swept or even cleaned (they did towards the end of our meal start at least wiping down things, they weren't busy on arrival or when we left) Couple interactions I did have with the staff weren't good and they were helpful. I did however see at least 5 people get their mobile and drive thru orders re fired due to issues with the order so definitely cause for concern. The store is in a great location and has a lot of potential in the fact that it's up and coming. Now onto the food: Buns were semi frozen/soggy, cheese was cold and old fries were mild in temp

$6.99 for an order of meh bacon cheese fries.

First impressions: I've never been to shake shack. You place your order on a tablet by the entrance. There isn't any way to check ingredients for the shack sauce. We asked an employee if it contained dairy. They said yes because it contains mayonnaise and mayonnaise has eggs. (Eggs are not a dairy product) They charge a premium for their burgers. I can understand this considering some of the toppings they have to choose from but I wouldn't say the ground beef is any better than five guys but it is a little better than in and out. Is it worth the price? Not really. The price of their food and lack of service will keep me from ever going back. Issues I had: You place your own order. No employee greeting or help with ordering. When you are finished with your order they automatically opt you in for a 10% tip. WTAF!!!! A tip for who? I haven't interacted with a single employee yet. At this point I'm the employee. We took a number and sat at a table we had to wipe clean ourselves with wipes available by the trash cans. Our order number was never announced or brought to our table. It sat at the door dash/to go shelf dying as people came and went. I went over and grabbed it after realizing it was in fact ours. The burger patty was similar in size as in and out and the fries were average. We got an order of plain fries and bacon cheese fries. They were just meh. The shack sauce is bland, the cheese sauce thick and congealed. They are overpriced for what they are. I got the mushroom burger. The cheese in the fried mushroom was a bit too much. Very thick and overpowering. Final thoughts: I honestly don't get the hype at all. It's definitely not a price conscious family friendly place and I have no desire to return. It's not as clean as In and Out and the service nonexistent. Our go to burger place as a family is In and Out. In and Out is considerably more affordable and the customer service top notch. The automatic opt in for a 10% tip when you have to do everything yourself besides cook and assemble the food is offensive. The audacity. There was also standing water in the kitchen area. This place is a mess! Full stop. Don't go. BUT if you want to be a Shake Shack employee during your lunch hour and pay them for the honor of allowing you to work for them. And tip them? Then by all means go. You can opt out of the tip. But the automatic opt in is ridiculous. If they aren't paying their employees the same or more than similar places considering their premium prices, this is just insulting to everyone involved. I don't like writing bad reviews but damn this was bad. I wish I could get my $56 dollars back. Our order of three burgers, two fries one root beer and a shake averaged $18.67/person.

Double Carolina BBQ Burger. Lots of beef, lots of cheese, some bacon, some fried pickles. Great burger! Absolutely delicious!

Shake Shack is expensive, but delicious. I decided to come try this new one out. I downloaded their app, and placed my order. I went with a Double Carolina BBQ Burger, an order of fries and a large Coke Zero. Free fries on Friday in the app, and $1.00 drinks in the app. That definitely helps when their burgers are $10+. I was out the door for $15.00. How was it? Double Carolina Burger- This thing was awesome! Right from the get go when I pulled it out of the bag and looked at it, I knew it would be great! 2 patties, 2 slices of pepperjack cheese, some bacon, some fried pickles and a nice tangy bbq sauce. It was absolutely delicious! One of the better fast food burgers I have ever had. Would definitely get again. I considered ordering another after I was done. That is rare for me, and also shows how great it was! Loved it! Fries- To my surprise, when I reached in my bag, I had 2 orders of fries. (Sorry to the person who didn't get any fries because yours were in my bag). Shake Shack fries are great! Perfectly cooked crinkle cut style and they salt them perfectly! Coke Zero- Its Coke Zero. For $1.00 in the app, hell yeah, good deal! Overall, happy this place is here now. It has a drive through, and its right down the street from my house. As long as the app deals are around, I will be back. Without those deals though, Shake Shack is $$$$ as hell! Quality is great, but I cant justify $20+ for a burger fries and drink too often, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Get yourself that Carolina BBQ Burger. Still thinking about it, days later. Bomb!

So I had to try out what all the hype was about with Shake Shack and was surprised in several ways. So this location is brand new, clean and in a prime location. I do wish they had a bigger dinning area inside as the heat can get pretty high here in AZ. By the looks of it they were packed but the self serve order kiosks were easy to use and created a good flow for traffic. There are only 2 restrooms that are single use so that may pose an issue if there are several people needing to use it at the same time as the hallway is small and leads towards the kitchen. I am also surprised that a tip option is suggested at the kiosk prior to the order when the service we got was just a shuffle of the food tray from their counter to our table about 20ft away. It did take a little bit to get our order, I received a text that said our order was ready and a little over 5 minutes later they brought the food to our table. I went with my family so we had a nice spread from an original double shack burger, a double with bacon, a lettuce wrap and my daughter got some chicken bites. The thing that surprised me was the spicy cheese fries! They were good but if you can't take too much spice then I would not recommend them as the Cheyenne pepper is intense. The bbq sauce for the chicken bites was also very good for a fast food place. We of course had to get a few shakes and got an Oreo shake and a campfire shake which were delicious and a nice treat with the meal. The sauce that is in the burgers is a very nice touch as well. Somewhat of a thousand island type spread. Definitely different than other fast food chains that serve similar type burgers. So here is the nitty gritty. I think the food a slightly over priced for what it is. For the amount we ate vs paid, I believe I could get a similar meal that is just as good for about $40 less. That's not to say that the food is not good, it was delicious but again, I do not think the price point is right but that's my opinion. I know there are Shake Shack faithful out there and understand that maybe the taste is worth it to them or perhaps the nostalgia of the place is worth it. I'm just used to other chains that are primarily west coast based without naming it in this review.

This was tough, if I could give a 3.5 star I would. The food was all good. The burgers had good flavor. The chicken was nice a crispy, but very small sandwiches. The shakes (chocolate, Oreo and Funnel cake, and strawberry) were all good. The fries were a mix of crunchy and soft. The spicy fries were underwhelming as it's just straight paprika and cayenne. The cheese sauce on the fries were a big hit for everyone. Very friendly staff and a kid friendly atmosphere. Four sandwiches, 4 shakes, 1 chicken bite, 3 orders of fries was $90. The price is just too much for what you get. *** average food and high prices. **** above average food at a reasonable price. ***** Unique food. The drive is worth the price.

Good service. Food is ok. Pricey af The cherry limeade don't taste like cherry. I ordered a large and the cup is full of ice. It was gone after 4 sips. Burgers need more seasoning in my opinion Family of 4 our bill was $90

Wow! $20.25 for a double cheeseburger meal! Cold fries no seasoning. Burger was hot but flavorless literally done in 4 bites. Would've been better off going to McDonalds! Definitely on the never come back list! No wonder there's no lines here anymore!

This is almost a $10 burger? I took 2 bites

First time at this place and the last time at this place!! Ordered food on line to eat at home. One of the worst burgers eaten to date. I bought 2 double cheese burgers and one single cheese burger. 2 orders of onion rings and 1 order of fries. The burger unlike the picture in the menu was tiny. I got 2 slices of tomatoes about the size of a half dollar and a sliver of lettuce. The meat Pattie was paper thin with almost no flavor at all. The meal with tip was over $50. I make better and home and can list off multiple fast food chains that do a better job for a far cheaper price! Gross!

Just tried this place for dinner. Outstanding food and eating-in experience…read more Their KRISPY KRUNCHY FRIED CHICKEN is FAR better, MUCH more highly superior, to any of the other fried chicken chain outlets we've tried before. Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! I think it would catch on in no-time... assuming today's quality, and value, remained the same, of course. I'm, generally, hard to please... but Outta Bronx/Krispy Krunchy chicken seems to hit it on all cylinders! VERY pleased. Mark us down as huge fans!

Outta Bronx - A Very Disappointing Visit and an Even Worse Follow‑Up…read more We've been customers of this spot for some time, and up until now, the food has always been solid. Unfortunately, our latest experience was far from what we've come to expect. Our order was wrong from the start -- something we caught before leaving -- and we were told our food had been handed to another customer, so it had to be remade. Annoying, but understandable. The real issues showed up once we got home. The mac and cheese tasted stale and simply wasn't edible. The Reuben was another disappointment: barely any meat, what little there was had been overcooked, and the sandwich had almost no sauerkraut. When I flipped it over, I could literally see more toppings through the meat than actual meat. The only thing that resembled their usual quality was the chicken fingers. What pushed this experience from disappointing to unacceptable was the phone call I received from the owner, after I emailed their website to share what happened. My intention was to give them a chance to address the situation privately rather than jumping straight to a negative review. Instead, I spent nearly half an hour listening to the owner defend the food, insist the items we ordered weren't their "best sellers," and tell us to choose different items next time. They claimed nothing could be wrong with the food and that we should have just eaten it. They also said the mac and cheese wasn't their responsibility and told us to complain to Krispy Krunchy Chicken because they "just microwave" what they receive. When asked whether a replacement would resolve the issue, I said yes -- only for the owner to then accuse me of taking money from their family and saying they personally wouldn't complain about food they didn't like. I was told to just eat it and avoid ordering those items again. I have this all recorded. If you're going to ask whether a replacement would make things right, why turn it into an argument afterward? This could have been handled quickly and respectfully. Instead, I was told I was bothering them by emailing on a Friday night, and the entire call felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Calling a customer on a Friday night to argue is not how you keep loyal customers. After enjoying this place for some time, it's disappointing to see how poorly concerns are handled when something goes wrong. Update: I believe the response to this shows what I outlined above. I do not know this owner personally. I met them twice at the restaurant when getting my orders and both were good yet brief experiences. I also do not understand how there is fraud in contacting a restaurant, via their contact us email address, to inform them of issues you had with an order. Their call to me, in response to the email, was not a personal call and entirely business related. This simply shows that this is the type of response one can expect if they have any issues with their order.
