I can eat crawfish straight 7 days/ week, i tried this type cajun seafood in lots of places ( california, texas, atlanta, new york, washington dc). However, this place was every disappoint me. The food is plain, no flavor but salty. Thats why there is no point to suck the head like how we suppose to eat them. We tried every flavor in the menu but none of them was good. Called ahead of time. Was told to not worry that there would be no wait but when we showed up it was at least a 45 minute wait. No biggie - maybe the food would be phenomenal but it was so so. Food was bland compared to similar establishments such as boiling crab in California. It was good enough for boston but we have not tried the other places in the city yet. The crawfish tasted like it was previously frozen, def not fresh. Service was slow. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes just to get the menu. They are a new establishment so this may be understandable. Pros is that it was relatively affordable and they give you gloves which makes things less messy. Gross. I ordered the lobster roll all I can taste is salt. Covered in grease the sweet potato fries were also covered in grease. The gumbo I couldn't even eat it because it had a giant corn ON THE COB in the middle. I don't eat corn and I've never even heard of corn( especially on the cob) in gumbo there's usually rice. There was no rice at all. No meat. Just the corn about 3 pieces of green vegetable in tomato water. Not even a sauce. It just looked like red water. A complete waste of 7$ dollars. I've been trying to find food in Boston all day and the last food I ordered was messed up and what they gave me was also horrible. Maybe all the food in Boston just sucks I'm not really sure. I'm from Florida. All I actually ate all day were eggs I made before I left and salty lobster I couldn't tell the difference between the bread or the lobster cause it all tasted like salt. Today was my second visit to this place, and will most definitely be my last. My first visit was with friends for the over priced seafood boil; The Alaskan Crab legs with the mildly spiced sauce was mediocre, but it was a great night out with friends which is priceless. Wednesday two work friends had called and ordered a catfish basket with fries from this establishment for lunch. The $14 order looked really large and they both had enough food to share, which made it look worth the price. They shared a bit with me and the fry texture was good, it was a bit bland but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix, so I said on Friday I'll walk down and get myself a basket and bring a friend and we could share. We arrived around noon time and were the first customers of the day. Prices are not revealed online for whatever reason, but the menu price was $16 instead of the $14, I was quoted a couple of days earlier. I shrugged it off and we ordered the basket anyway, with a side of sweet potato fries which were $1 more. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes, and my heart sank when I saw what arrived to the table. 4 pieces of 2 inch sized fish on top of a huge portion of cold sweet potato fries. The entire meal appeared to have been a reheat instead of a fresh fry. My friend and I should have just stood up from the table and walked out, but we stuck it out and shared the meager "meal". Holy wow! Can we talk about great service right now? Because that's about to do! Not only will you get great food but the staff is full of energy and pure bliss. Now I'm a fan of the Crab already because I've been to all of them and I think this one is my favorite! It's cozy and they have the best ice tea too. Liked the idea of seafood cooked to order with whatever seasoning and sides you would like. Basically a seafood boil specific to your taste. Prices were pretty good. The kid behind the counter asked if we were gonna order food. We said yes probably just some apps. He walks away brings us a check. I ordered 1 pound of Alaskan king crab legs from Boston's ( Boylston St) Shaking Crab tonight. Unfortunately what Uber Eats delivered delivered to me was spoiled crab legs that smelled like ammonia. I have ordered approximately $350 worth of Alaskan King Crab legs over the past 4 months... I have never reported them to tBoston's department of weights and measures despite the fact that that were selling me what should have a pound but were short every time. First time here last night for dinner and our eyes were bigger than our mouths. We were seated in the upstairs area. I liked how you had space in between tables and were not on top of other parties. To start, the two of us got the fish bowl for 3-4 people. My friend said the 1-2 fish bowl was too small. It was delicious and our goal was too finish it. For starters, we got plain fries, buffalo chicken tenders and the fried corn. I could have done without the buffalo tenders. They were nothing amazing. The fried corn was delicious, it had spices on it. For my dinner, I got a pound of shrimp with the medium house sauce and corn in a bag. It was delicious and well flavored. I got the shrimp head off so it was less work. When we ordered the starters, I asked them to give us time in between appetizers and our dinner but they didn't. The food came out at close together. It was not too expensive. For all that food, it was only $88. I would definitely go back. I couldn't eat all my meal so I got it wrapped up. We were able to finish the fish bowl though! read more

Although it is WAY too bright in here (nobody wants a garlic buttery chin top-lit by fluorescent lights), my visit tonight was otherwise a *delightful* surprise. I walked past multiple menus prior to catching a movie, and thought some peel-n-eat shrimp washed down with cold beer would be perfect. But it seemed the bartender was waiting on all the tables on the ground floor, totally in the weeds, and after I was told I needed to sit at a table in order to eat seafood. I thought I just pay for my beer and leave, but the bartender quickly cleared an open table and encouraged me to stay for a good hot meal. I ordered the shrimp and french fries extra crispy, which everyone always gets wrong, but when the food came out it was perfectly prepared: hot, plentiful, spicy, timely, and everything I wanted for my dinner. I watched the bartender take care of all the tables with grace and good humor, and appreciated when the manager checked in and jumped in to help when it got a little busier. Basically, it was a well-executed evening at a professionally run restaurant: the food was very good, the service was even better, and it exceeded my expectations for what seemed like a touristy gimmicky joint.
