Bistro flatiron steak
A R.

Excellent food, excellent wait staff and great patio. Visited on recent Saturday. The wait staff is always friendly , courteous and very well trained. They are consistent in offering specials, explaining toppings that come with their bread plate and check back with you often. Had the bistro flatiron steak special- cooked as requested, sauce was delicious. Companion had fried chicken which was delicious as usual. Will be back for patio and food soon.

Took my husband here for the first time for his birthday. The food was so good, no complaints at all. My husband got the fish fried and I got one of that specials for that day, which was the seared pan monk fish with green beans risotto. It honestly was one of the best meals I ever had, I ate every bite on the plate.

As always, had a great experience at Shamus. The waitress was attentive and kind, our food was delicious and the ambiance was great. We love coming here for special dinners a couple times a year. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and so delicious!

Great service and great food for a very reasonable price. They were very accommodating letting us finish our drinks at the bar before seating us. So many great apps to choose from we couldn't narrow it down. Can't go wrong with the charcuterie board. They have the best roasted Brussel sprouts I have had. The fried cicken is a huge meal and cooked perfectly. Another great pick was the fish fry which is also huge and tasty. The filet mignon and the sea scallops were delicious and great presentation. We were too full that we had to take home the peanut butter ice cream pie to go. So worth it don't leave without a piece.

Start by saying the server was so so friendly and up beat. There were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try so we will definitely be back! The restaurant is so cute and cozy! We ended up getting potato pancakes with bacon, blue cheese crusted steak and the short rib! Everything was so great. The meat was all cooked perfectly and very tender. Can't wait to go back!

The place is adorable and the service was excellent. This was a destination that place for our anniversary. We toasted with a Irish Mule and a Appletini. They did not offer a beer list. But we did hear the waitress name them at another table. So you do have to ask. My husband order the lobster bisque and he said it was so good that he had to take a piece of the wonderful bread and butter to clean his bowl. No judgment, I don't blame him! I had the braised beef short rib with the veggie or the day (my fave) asparagus. It was amazing! The roast was worth it. I hate to use the word moist but it was truth. I didn't really need a knife. The wine Demi glaze on the meat perfection. My husband had the fish and chips. Dessert, so full but we shared the Crème Brûlée. Oh my god, it was like we died and went to dessert heaven. The first time in a very long time, we got the meal and said "Worth every penny". You just gained two more regular customers for special occasions!

The entrées are not your ordinary traditional steak, chicken, and fish dinners. if you enjoy unique dishes and imaginative culinary delights, this is your place. The service was delightful. The attentive and cheerful staff made the meal quite enjoyable. We learned about every detail of the ingredients including mint and blueberries grown in their backyard. Don't wait as long as I did. Next time you plan on going out to dinner, plan on Hilltop

I feel bad because the waiter was nice enough, but honestly, this was ridiculous and unacceptable. We did arrive closer to the end of the night (7:30, and they close at 9). BUT, we've been here many times before, and the service has never been this bad, especially considering there were almost no other customers. The other tables cleared out shortly after we arrived. It was just us, and one other table that came in after we did. We sat there and watched their food came out, then they were finishing up, ready to leave, but there we sat - with nothing. They had two different employees checking on them the entire time (they were only a party of 3 and we were 2). We didn't see our waiter. We ordered apps and entrees, and already finished our salads. We were just sitting there wondering what was going on. After we FINALLY got our entrees, the waiter drops the appetizers on the table and repeats that he "doesn't know what happened in the kitchen." We honestly didn't want the apps anymore. For whatever reason, I didn't want to say anything and I told my husband not to say anything either. He wanted to refuse the apps rather than take them home because we weren't able to have a proper dining experience and nothing is the same leftover. I guess he had a point. The waiter disappeared again after bringing the food. My husband did end up complaining when he finally came back around. We were offered dessert, which we declined. Was that going to take another 30 minutes while he disappeared again? No thanks. We were clearly irritated and wanted to leave so we asked for the bill (which also took some time). I don't know what had us sitting there for almost two hours, because it was about 9:00 (closing time) by the time our food was finally brought out. We were the only customers after a certain point. All of the employees were hanging out around the bar. I'm sure they were tapping their feet waiting for us to leave, but they certainly weren't doing anything to get us our food, and get us out. I'm not even sure why we waited that long. We should've just called it, paid for our drinks, and left.

"When She Says Sushi, It's Game On!"…read more Finding a great date night spot can be challenging, but Steak Stone & Sushi delivered a wonderful evening from start to finish. I brought a longtime family friend here for dinner, and to my surprise she suggested sushi. Well, when a lady says sushi, it's game on! The atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable, and perfect for catching up over good food and conversation. She ordered the drink special, which I believe was a Cherry Chocolate Martini, and it looked every bit as good as she said it tasted. We started with the Coconut Shrimp, and that turned out to be an excellent choice. Light, crispy, and full of flavor. Before we shared sushi rolls, I had to order the Flying Red Fish. I was hoping to find Ikura on the menu, but this was the next best thing and it definitely satisfied my craving. For our rolls, we shared the Rock N Roll, which was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, great presentation, and the kind of sushi that keeps you reaching for another piece even when you're already full. What made the evening special wasn't just the food--it was the opportunity to reconnect with a good friend over a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a date night destination, a place to celebrate, or simply somewhere to enjoy good sushi and conversation, Steak Stone & Sushi is well worth a visit. I'd happily do this one all over again.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The hibachi was not very good. I wish they had more than Sriracha for a hot sauce. The hibachi chicken was also very sweet. Overall, we both definitely would not do the hibachi again, even if it were priced cheaper. Overall, all menu items were priced much higher, but this is common amongst restaurants nowadays and in this economy. Would we come back? If we were really craving the experience of cooking a steak on one of their stones. The prices are high enough to where we are now considering going here as we are paying a rather high amount to cook our own steak.

Our favorites are: villagio dip, French onion soup, chicken julienne salad, any pasta dish, subs for take-out, bbq ribs, and the Friday seafood specials. This is a restaurant we can call for take-out, got to on a random weeknight, or visit for a special occasion/we have guests in town. Their sauce is delicious and they always serve their homemade bread with meals. The shaker of Parmesan right on the table is a plus. Everyone is friendly and even on busy nights they keep attention to detail (refills, cleaning plates promptly). For take-out they typically go over your order quickly before you leave to make sure you have everything. The bathrooms are very clean (including changing table for baby!). The menus are also clean. The overall cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurants is always excellent.

We have dined in but that was years ago. So this review is strictly about their food and take out service. They have a separate entrance for those ordering takeout. More than 4-5 people waiting would make the space cramped. On certain days it's cramped around dinner time but it's worth it!! The main stay staff in the takeout area is Emma. She is so nice. Always a smile on her face and happiness in her voice. Great service with a smile. Now the food. We have 3 go to meals and as many go to deserts. They have a monday pasta special which we frequently enjoy. There 3 choices all at cost of $9.99 each. Good sized portions. 2 orders would comfortably feed 3. Add a meatball or sausage with sauce if you're a carnivore like me. Next we have their assorted sub. Quality meats on good bread with fresh lettuce tomato and onion. Finally there is our favorite entree, Chicken Capri. Two breaded chicken breasts over a bed of thin spaghetti in a lemon butter garlic sauce. Pair that with the complimentary bread and your choice of soup or salad and you are set!! One entree will definitely fill two bellies and, you will be full. They have a dessert display with individually packaged slices of a variety of cakes and pies. Our go to's are the homemade apple crumb pie, carrot cake, and their chocolate brownie. Mmmmm mmmm! If you're like me, be sure you have enough milk to enjoy these wonderful sweets! That's it. Village eatery is a great place for those nights you don't wanna cook yet, want a nice homemade meal.
