I went to Shane's to get my ring cleaned today and was disappointed by their customer service. 1) They make you take your mask off inside the store to take your temperature, which is a bad idea especially with a store full of people. 2) They won't allow you to make a reservation to get your ring cleaned and require you sit in one of their curbside spots of which they only have three -all of which were full. I've gotten my ring cleaned here before: it takes two minutes to look up your account and ten minutes to get the ring cleaned. But now I will have to make a trip back to Walnut Creek because I was turned away. Please be helpful, not rude. Thanks! read more

Assured on arrival that we would be the only guests helped by an associate, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Were told to wait 45min which we were okay with if we would receive help in choosing a good anniversary present. As soon as we ask the associate to untangle a display necklace to try on, we become window shoppers and the associate walks off to help another pair. A 180 degree flip from what we were assured of. As we wait to return a piece of jewelry to the associate we are scoffed by what appears to be a managing associate, "we help multiple guests at a time." So why lie on arrival Janice? Made an appointment on a week night. A middle aged Asian woman was assigned to assist us. She was rude, unprofessional and didn't comprehend what customer service is. She didn't explain or provide any information about the piece of jewelry I was interested in. I tried on a few bangles and they were extremely small. I asked her the size of the bangles and why they were so small. She responded by saying "what, I don't understand your question." I clarified and she said that all of their jewelry is custom and no bracelet is a standard size. This is very untrue, I had a great experience at the shaneCo in Cupertino, this place is horrible. Because of her terrible service, I'll never go back. If she works for commission I have no idea how a person like her can make any money. They need to train these people. This review is about a month or so late...I kept forgetting to write it. But it is important enough for me to remember because I am very upset about my last encounter with shane co. I bought a couple of things here but most importantly I bought my wife's engagement ring here. That is something you cannot replace and if you do it better be the same! My wife went in there to get her ring and necklace cleaned. When she received it she didnt think much of it and glanced at it and put it back in the box and called it good. When she brought it back I looked at it before I put it in my safe (she doesn't wear jewelry due to her line of work only during special times...so all her stuff no matter how old all look new) both rings came back MISSHAPEN, LOPSIDED AND MISSING A SMALL DIAMOND! And her necklace was SCRATCHED....that was not how it left the house because I handed it to her and it was not like that. Now this all happened within 20 min at the store. So the manager was saying that there are no tools or anything there that can cause that to happen where the cleaning takes place. So pretty much saying it wasn't them. Passed me on to a worker there that actually was very pleasant and tried to help me because I was very upset. So I sent the rings and necklace back. TWICE! and still the rings are MISSHAPEN and LOPSIDED. Where the diamond was missing, it was replaced but the setting looks different so it makes it look ugly. It doesn't match the other settings next to it. On the main ring it is still LOPSIDED! I am just so frustrated with them. I send it in and it comes back the same. Twice! The necklace came back ok. This ring is something SPECIAL I got for my wife when we got engaged and I picked Shane co because the service was good. Now everytime me or my wife see it we get upset. Shane co took something special and ruined it. I sent it in twice and it didnt come back fixed properly. I am definitely not satisfied. Thank you Shane Co for ruining a once in a lifetime gift to my wife. I will never purchase anything here again and strongly urge you not to also. They will be nice when they collect the money, offer you a bottle of water, etc. but it's the after that is also very important. read more

I went into Shane Co. because of hearing the commercials and of all the positive feedback from friends who have dealt with this company. I personally was looking for a gift for my niece. My initial contact was with a woman, who unfortunately, I cannot remember her name, but she was very kind. Kent, the salesman with whom I dealt with directly, was very knowledgeable and assisted me in finding the perfect gift for my niece. It was a beautiful pendent with her initial and surrounded In diamonds. I immediately knew that was the perfect gift. Kent then took me to the customer service area and introduced me to a lovely young woman by the name of Domini. Domini was super sweet and very knowledgeable and picked up immediately on the type of gifts I would purchase in the future, not only for my niece, but for myself as well. My husband got my engagement ring here! Love my ring however they tell you you can bring it anytime for cleaning and every time I do I have to wait at least 15-20 minutes to even be greeted. We have been shopping Shane Co for last 30 years. They always had great service and product but our recent encounter was AMAZING! Wish I could give more than 5 stars for the exceptional service from Cynthia and Donna in Sales, and Ryan the jeweler. I worked with Cynthia once when I went in to look at settings for my emerald. I only mentioned she was helping me when I called back to see if alternative settings I saw online were in stock. she called me back quickly to tell me she had ordered the one they did not have and holding the others. She assigned Donna to assist me with further needs. Donna was always quick following up when I called. She and another associate even pulled additional settings so I have more to choose from when I go in. After I picked a setting, she stayed past her time to make sure I was taken care of and clarified I could return it even after all the custom work if I was unhappy. As emeralds are fragile, setting it was at my own risk. However, Ryan the jeweler came out and spent about 15 minutes with me. He inspected the stone and setting, talked about how I wanted it set, and what he will do. I felt more at ease after that as he clearly knew what he was doing. The ring came out better than I expected. Ryan changed out the original mount and used jeweler skills so that my stone with a bulgy bottom sat almost flush with the top for better protection (like I wanted). The quality and design of the halo setting made the emerald look larger and more vibrant than when it was in a tiffany-type mount. On top of the great service, the setting and work is guaranteed forever (with inspections) against any stones including my emerald falling out. Resizing is always free, even to go bigger. Those are things you don't get with most others. So happy to have Shane Co. near me. read more
