Excellent service and low pressure jewelry shopping. Pleased with the wedding set I bought for my wife. Also pleased with the cheerful cleaning they are willing to do anytime we are nearby. I would recommend this store barring the few points below that were frustrating. Downside: DO NOT apply for a Shane Co. credit card. They make it sound very tempting with tales of interest free for a year. Its not. Its interest DEFERRED. And when the entire amount isn't paid off in a year it all gets charged that month. So i had a $2800 interest charge that month! Side note: Even though its supposedly a non commission store they pressure you to stick with the first employee you speak with. This location has extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. My husband and I made a few visits to the Cupertino location, but this location is a whole lot friendlier and more attentive. We didn't buy my engagement diamond here, but we did get the diamond reset in a new band a year later here. We have been in a few times for resizing and when a diamond fell out. The customer service has always been good until the last time we came in. I felt that our sales girl did the bare minimum and was almost trying to rush us to get to the next customer. This is usually not the case here. I agree that the men's band selection is lacking. A lot of run of the mill white gold, but not a lot of titanium bands or more rare metals like carbon fiber. I honestly like the selection and pricing of Costco better for diamonds. But Shane Co does offer an awesome warranty if you keep up with the cleaning and repair. read more

Well talk about a total opposite experience from the first one. First of all, the awesome salesman we had is no longer there. Why? I have no idea because he was amazing! We came in here to look at wedding bands. It was a lackluster collection and not only that, the saleswoman was not listening to what I was saying at all. She only pulled out what she wanted me to look at. No bueno Shane Co. It was just a bad experience. Granted they were busy, but it still would have been nice if you actually listened to your customer. Funny enough, on a whim we decided to go check out Tiffany & Co. and we found our wedding bands and they're perfect! We couldn't be happier. My fiance and I came to the Shane Co. for the first time to get my ring resized. There were about 4 sales people on the floor helping customers, so waited patiently for my turn, which took less than 10 minutes. The gentleman that helped me was very kind, patient and attentative to what I needed. While he was in the back cleaning up my ring, and drawing up some paperwork, the gentleman's colleagues were kind enough to ask if I needed assistance. This practice was common as I saw the same gesture was asked of all the customers. When the salesperson finally came back, he said it will take 7-10 days to have it ready for me. Unfortunately, I was leaving for vacation in 4 days, so I asked nicely if I can have it by Thursday, and without hesitant, said he can do it. How great is that? Picked up my ring that Thursday, and I have to say, it looks so much shinier and prettier! Overall, my experience was great, the service was super and the people were honest. The Shane Co. has been around FOR-freakin-EVER! Who hasn't heard their ads on the radio with Tom Shane promising that you have a friend at the Shane Co. The boyfriend wanted to buy me some earrings for our anniversary (2 years dating). Actually, that was just an excuse since he's been talking about buying me something really nice. I didn't want him breaking the bank, so I decided against places like Tiffany and Co. (although something from there would be nice...hint hint) and checked out Yelp for jewelers in our area. The Shane Co. in Walnut Creek came highly recommended so we decided to check it out. The store was busy and we were acknowledged right away by Diane who said she was with a customer but would be with us right away. We didn't wait too long and she showed us a selection of diamond stud earrings. She showed us different diamond weights and prices. We ended up purchasing some 1/2 ctw diamond studs. Went into Shane Co. not knowing what to expect. Went to a few other places for engagement rings and what a big difference this place is from the rest. Right when I walked in i was acknowledged right away. There wasn't a lot of people because they just opened which makes things less problematic. Muhammad helped me out a great deal because i wasn't sure what to get the gf/soon to be fiance. He was extremely patient and gave me ideas of what to get. Started with a few rings then moved on to the diamonds and showing me a great deal of detail of what i was buying. I told him straight forward what I was looking for and that was all he showed me. He didn't try to sell me something i couldn't afford or anything I disliked. He also reassured me that if there was any problems with the ring that i can bring it back and they will take care of it and if any problems like the diamond falling off happens it is covered!! My boyfriend and I decided to go engagement ring shopping together. For years, I have been hearing Shane Co's advertisement on the radio, and I don't know if it's because Tom Shane's voice is so grandfarther-ly comforting, but I always knew that I wanted to get my ring from Shane Co. I checked the reviews on Yelp, and the consensus was that this was a great place to start looking. This became the first and last jewelry store we went to on what was supposed to be a ring hunting adventure. We went on a Saturday after 4pm. Even though they close at 5pm, and we were there until almost 6pm by the end of our consultation, we never felt rushed in the process. I was worried that the salespeople would judge us because we do look relatively young (like teenagers), but when we arrived, we were assisted right away even though there was less than an hour until closing and each consultant was busy with other customers. They say that Saturdays are their busiest days. We were first helped by Muhammad. Very nice man. He ended up having to assist other customers while we were browsing through the cases. So although he was handling two customers at the same time, he was very courteous to us, let us know when he needed to assist the other couple and when he would return to assist us. He helped us choose the PERFECT setting for me. Feminine, classy, and vintage, and well within our budget. Samantha came to assist us in finding the right diamond, as the store was closing but still busy. Once again, we were never rushed. We told her our budget range, and she recommended three diamonds for us to choose from. She explained every single detail of each diamond. Very knowledgeable, and she made the experience very interactive for us as she taught us how to examine the diamonds (the 4 Cs) ourselves with a lens, and other techniques. My boyfriend & I feel like diamond experts now! All in all, it was such a wonderful and fun experience. I think that in this day and age, it might be better for couples to go ring shopping together. Sure, you might lose the element of surprise, but shopping together, learning about diamonds together, and working to find the perfect diamond for you is absolutely great. I LOVE my ring! And I am anxiously waiting for the layaway period to be over so I can just stare at it again. It blows my friends' rings out the water! The diamonds are definitely high quality and so so so sparkly! I definitely see a huge difference in my ring compared to my friend's ring from Zales, and my ring cost way less than hers. My diamond is absolutely gorgeous. The Shane Company is everything they claim to be and more. They have wonderful staff that seem very knowledgable and Paul, our sales representative today, went out of his way to make us feel at home and make our time there extremely enjoyable. My girl and I already had a good idea of what we were looking for, and their selection was fabulous. And there's always the option of building your own ring which we toyed around with. Paul was fantastic at getting a nice selection of stones to compare, which honestly has to be very tedious work. He asked many questions, and gave some great advice as well and they do all of it within your budget (that is so long as you don't allow your girl to go nuts and blow your budget out of the water). Came here to get our wedding rings. Received great service and they had a broad spectrum of inventory. For example, I really wanted an eternity band, but know that those can't really ever be re-sized (which I needed the option to have). I was disappointed at first thinking I would have to settle for something totally different, when the sales rep. showed me a 3/4 eternity band! I didn't even know they existed! It was perfect because it looked exactly like a full eternity band when you put it on, but was still re-sizeable! Win-win! Price was reasonable and another huge plus was that we came in with our dog and they brought him a bowl of water - too sweet. Shane co staff was great which is the only reason they are receiving any stars from me at all. However the quality of their jewelry is horrible. My engagement ring ($7,900) solitaire diamond ring pictured below... not only did the diamond fall out TWICE but even the little diamonds in the setting fell out! Thank God for their warranty because the first time the diamond was lost. Both the original and the replacement diamonds were part of their "Shane co Classic" diamond collection however they didn't have one the same size as the original one that fell out so they told me I could have a lower quality but larger diamond or I could have a smaller "classic diamond." Well in the end it didn't matter what I chose because it too ended up falling out. Oh, and I he bought me the ring in December if 2014 and it's March of 2018 so yeah, all of this happened within a little over 3 years time! I am beyond happy that my fiance bought my engagement ring at Shane Co. The setting he found is brilliant - exactly what I had always dreamed of. The best part about our Shane Co. experience so far is that when we went in to have my grandma's diamond set into my setting, they waved the 60 day exchange period, and allowed us to exchange the originally purchased diamond for other merchandise in the store. All sales people that we worked with were extremely helpful. We brought my grandmother with us when we picked out our wedding bands, and they were very sweet to her. They made the entire process much less daunting than the other stores we had visited. Delia truly listened and cared about what I wanted in an engagement ring and she delivered! When I told other stores and jewelers I was looking for a peach sapphire with the color of a morganite, they didn't bother checking their inventory or figuring out how to obtain a stone like that.
