So I ordered from this place as they were running a special through Uber One. Buy one get one free for Spicy Chive and pork Dumplings. I work in SF so I wanted to try something different than I usually get as I live in Oakland. The food was ok, but there were 2 deficiencies IMHO. The wrapper for the dumplings was too thick, causing the meat to wrapper ratio to be off. Also they were not at all spicy. I might give this place another try, but I would have to get something different. I thought the food was a good value with the deal they provided. I can't say how much I love this place, though I almost exclusively go for take-out now. It's been a very convenient stop on the way home. I call in my order, walk in, pay, and get home before my food is even cold. My go-to involved: Dumplings - I've gotten a lot of different ones and they're always spot-on. My only small disappointment is that the pan friend buns (生煎包) have a thick bao bun and isn't juicy. I'm used to the ones with a thicker dumpling wrapper and is almost like a xiao long bao soup inside. Spicy Tendons - I can order these for days. Plus, the collagen is good for your skin! Or something Shanghai thick noodles - Simple and delicious Shanghai rice cakes - Saucy and delicious I see their whole menu and it seems like they cater a bit to the white taste...which given their location on Monterey in Sunnyside...valid. Although I was initially skeptical due to the lack of patrons, my opinion was quickly changed when the food started coming out. I was really excited to try this place since the reviews looked good, but unfortunately this was about the most mediocre Chinese food I've had in a while. The part that really made me sad is that I love beef tendon and their spicy tendon was so soft that it felt old. I couldn't eat it. The thing that got them two stars is that the spicy sauce for the dumplings was really good. The Mongolian beef was ok too.
