I tried Sharetea a couple of times, but this was my first at the Fountain Valley location. When we came around 3 PM, it was extremely packed with high school students. But the wait wasn't too long to order our drinks. My friend got the hokkaido peal milk tea (toffee flavor) and I got the okinawa pearl milk tea (black sugar flavor). Both of our drinks tasted great, but I like the okinawa one better! This is usually my go to at Sharetea. I do recommend getting your drink with less ice in it though. It doesn't taste so great when the drink is watered down. Tell them to go easy on the ice. But overall, Sharetea is consistent with their drinks despite the location! read more

I got the Okinawa (roasted brown sugar) pearl milk tea. Honey boba was decent and milk tea had a good balance of sweet and tea flavors. They only have the one size of about 20oz. Not too much ice either. One disappointing fact: their stamp cards are not usable at all locations. You have to get that specific Fountain Valley stamp card. Most bullsh*t customer service ever. I got to the door and stood in line at 948pm on a Saturday with 5 people in front of me (A group of 4 who all paid separately and 1 other person) and an army of workers behind the counter. The store was busy with patrons still sitting around and socializing and another group came up in line behind me. As it was finally my turn to order at 10:04 the register guy says to me "sorry we're closed". I stood there dumbfounded and asked "what does that mean?" And he answers back "sorry we're closed". So I then asked him "you saw me standing in line for 15 minutes and as I get to the front you're gonna tell me you're closed and can't take my order?" And the answer that I got was "sorry we're closed". LIKE WHAT THE DUCK IS THAT? How are you gonna take the person ahead of me his order but yet go and tel me "we're closed" and refuse to take my order? Duck this place! read more

So, there is only one size here which makes it a bit easier to decide between small and large if you ever have that decision. My favorite is definitely the mango passion fruit with boba at 80% sweet. I like the fact that you can customize sweetness because some places it is just way too sweet. You can also customize ice level for those that sometimes complain about getting too much ice in your cup. I always come here when I'm eating at project poke. Usually the drinks come out pretty fast. On weekends though it gets pretty bust, but the drinks come out in a reasonable time. There's a combination on the restroom, so be sure to ask one of the employees what the combination is if you have to go! read more

I started coming to Sharetea during the pandemic after noticing their social distancing set up while passing Mile Square. Gotta say, they're doing it much better than some other places. Even though now they've transitioned back inside, they still have markers set up for customers to wait while maintaining distance, and, of course, mask requirement (or encouragement, can't remember.) All employees got masks and there's a barrier set up for them, so plus on that too. Particularly fond of their Passion fruit, Grapefruit, and Orange Tea. Their Coffee Milk Tea and Ice-Blended Coffee with Ice Cream are also really yummy. Among other things I've tried -- Classic Milk tea and Hokkaido milk tea are good. On multiple occasions, I came here and noticed how long the line was. I never had the time to come in and was quite nervous to finally try what everyone refers to as the best boba in Orange County. However, one day, I finally mustered up the courage to get in line. I was ready for the life-changing experience. As I stood in line, watching everyone seem to moan in satisfaction from their drinks, I was getting more excited by the minute. I wanted to experience this euphoria as well. "Hi, welcome!" the bobarista kindly said in an audible yet not menacing tone. He flashed me a kind smile. I asked for recommendations, and the worker informed me that the taro milk tea sub with red bean was his all-time favorite. I like to play it safe, so I decided to opt for the wintermelon tea and boba. I then placed an order for their crispy chicken. That was when I was bombarded with the most devastating news since the Notre Dame burned down... "I'm sorry, sir. We don't serve chicken." I then decided to order the TorDa Tea desert on the menu linked to their Yelp page. Again, I was told that they didn't serve the TorDa or any food at all. But, one of the ladies glided out from the back and had the courage to understand me (i'm a fob). I was seriously so disheartened and disappointed by the experience. All over the internet, there are posts raving about the chicken and desserts. I am one who lays alien to this sweet serendipity. I started tearing up, and the bobarista looked at me sympathetically. Definitely one of my favorite boba shops in OC. I always come here to study, and though it can be loud it makes up in positive energy. I don't ONLY come here for the drinks --which are amazing, I appreciate the option to adjust sweetness levels (my favorite is the mango passion green tea 0% sweet with lychee jelly and aloe vera don't let the 0% sweet fool you, it's the perfect amount because the fruit teas themselves are already sweet)-- I come for the employees! Probably my favorite chain for bubble tea. They have so many flavors and I love how much you can customize you're drink. I usually get the fruit teas and 30% sweetness. Trust me!! First time trying sharetea! Tried the handmade milk real taro 100% sweetness! It was excellent! Made with real chunks of taro (the purple sweet potato). It reminded me of those Asian desserts, not too sweet. I saw a post on Instagram about Sharetea's grand opening, and I was originally driving out to Fountain Valley for Project Poke, but I quickly saw that it was right next door! I arrived at 5:45 and the grand opening was at 6, so my friend and I barely made the cut for the first 100 customers to receive free drinks. We waited about an hour in line. I ordered the Passion Fruit, Orange, Grapefruit sweet tea because it was recommended on the menu, and I was having a hard time deciding. I really wanted to try the matcha with red bean and ice cream, but I decided to go for the less caloric drink. The cashier was super friendly-I asked her if my drink was naturally sweetened and she said they use the real fruits for the tea. I thought that was awesome because a lot of places just pump sugary syrups into their drinks. The drink was perfect: fruity and not overly sweet. The line was long but moved very fast and it didn't take long for our drinks to be made either. I tried four different flavors and liked them all; Hawaii fruit tea, Pineapple green tea, matcha fresh milk tea and Hokkaido milk tea. The fruit teas were very sweet, so I'd recommend getting less sugar if you prefer less sweetness. Being a boba obsessed gal, I can't help but try all the new boba tea shops that pops up in town. Hands down, my top two would have to be Sharetea and Cha for Tea. On my weekly boba runs, I would offer to gets drinks for my friends, coworkers or siblings. To my pleasure, the number of participants increases each time. I guess you can say, they're curious and/or have experienced the QQ FAMILY MILK TEA! It's all the tea house adds all thrown into one. LOVE IT! Shout out to my coworker for introducing it to us. Sharetea in FV has earned the LOVE from all everyone that has "sipped" it. Their service is fast, efficient and friendly. I appreciate that their drinks can be ADJUSTED for its: sweetness, ice quantity, and quantity of add ons. You can go sugar free if you want. How wonderful is that?! TOP 3 DRINKS: 1) Wintermelon tea w/ Fresh Milk & herbal jelly. If you want a lighter drink, you can go w/o the fresh milk. Drink is light and refreshing. Taste kinda like sugar water, with a hint of fragrance. I'd recommend going 50% sweetness, since it can be quite sweet. 2) QQ Family Milk Tea: boba/mini boba, red beans, jelly, aloe vera, egg pudding, herbal jelly! This drink is SO fun. Every sip is a new adventure. You don't know what you're gonna suck up! It's a heavy drink, but an awesome concoction. If you're in the mood for something a little thicker, go for this. It's delightful. Since it's a little heavier, I'd go easy on the boba. This drink taste better cold, so don't adjust ice! I did that, and it was luke warm. Not so good. *If you want a classic drink: signature milk tea and green milk tea are spot on as well! BOBA: the tapioca balls are chewy for the most part. If you go early during the day, the boba is fresh and warm. If you let your drink sit for too long, the boba can harden a tad. There have been a few instances where my boba was a little hard. No honey boba. HERBAL JELLY: light and fragrant! It's the BEST in to town. TID BITS: 1) Lines can be long, but goes fast 2) Buy 10 drinks get one free! This place is always so busy! I understand that because they are always busy that there is no time to answer the phone. The staff is always running around trying to make drinks that the ambience doesn't feel as welcoming as other boba shops. I also understand that the employees don't speak english fluently, but it is sometimes hard to understand them with their accents. Their drinks are decent, however, they only come in one size. Some drinks can also be very sweet unless you adjust the sweetness level. They also charged me because I wanted to switch tea for example from a black to green tea. I also didn't realize that they didn't have crystal boba. Also their aloe vera tastes kind of bitter. I have to give props to them for making consistent drinks though. I always get the wintermelon less sugar with aloe vera and boba. It tastes good, but I would not get the aloe vera. Overall, good drinks, okay toppings, and mediocre ambience. read more

I didn't know the difference between classic milk tea and fresh milk tea and the person who helped me shared that classic milk tea is made with a dairy free creamer, and fresh milk uses whole milk (sharing in case there are others who are not experts in drink ingredients).
