    Americano
    Paul L.

I love the nostalgic vibe of this coffee house, especially since they roast their own beans in-house. The only reason for the slightly imperfect rating is the inconsistency with the Americanos I've ordered on different visits. The first time, it was probably the best Americano I've ever had, topped with an incredible, frosty brown crema. The second time, with a different barista, it tasted more like a standard Americano from a fast-food coffee chain. The shop itself feels like a museum, featuring heavy manual scales and a giant roasting machine like a size of a 1950s computer lab. The service was friendly, seating was easy to find, and they offer convenient side parking for guests.

Sheldrake Coffee Roasting is a corner coffee shop with amazing service and compendious coffee/tea. Similarly, they have pastries. Their atmosphere was very relaxing and has a rustic interior decor. Seats were comfortable. Prices are fair. I had a hot Jasmine Green tea. Overall, I liked it and had a good order experience. I highly recommend this coffee shop.

The coffee was flavorful and strong. The Barista was so helpful, they serve coffee but also sell it, he helped me pick out the perfect flavor. It's a cute little coffee shop,

Was next door getting some foods and the smell and the patio drawn in. Very great vibe and the smell is just heavy. They do take their coffee seriously here, you can ask and request how you would like or you can get some recommendations from them. I just got regular brewed since I need to be awake so it was great and did it job. They do have a patio and it looks fun and enjoyable. There is a parking lot and it's free too. Will come back to try more serious coffee.

Delicious coffee with a selection of pastries, my only complaint they run out of bananas often it seems as the last few visits I was unable to get a banana mocha but settled on an ice blended mocha. Tried the black velvet too. Haven't tried the pastries. Parking lot can get rather full since it shares a lot with other businesses. A long time standing business with decently speedy service and a nice lounge section for enjoying a drink here with lots of newspapers to catch up on the local news. Lots of coffee related decor

Great place to grab a coffee. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. Excellent customer service and great coffee.

There's a reason sheldrake has dedicated and loyal customers. They have authentic, fresh and delicious coffee that they grind on site. It's like walking into a coffee history museum. They have signs of their roasting bean days so you know what the most fresh product will be. Although I'm a decaf girly, I can confidently say their decaf drip was delicious, crisp and abundant. A great price too, starting at $2-3. If you're any type of coffee fan, this is the spot to visit on 2nd.

    Gustavo B.

Drip coffee made fresh daily with a large variety of roasted beans to choose from including at least 5 decaf options. I ordered a cafè au lait with whipped cream with Vienna decaf roast. Smooth, creamy and great tasting. Of all the other coffee places on 2nd street this is highly underrated and deserves more recognition. If you want a no frills, truly crafted coffee shop, try Sheldrake.

It's nice to have a $4 cup of coffee again... Well, technically we had espressos, but you know what I mean. It's been a while since we've been here, but we gave them another try. Tastes just like it used to 4 years ago, so that was great.

My favorite Italian roast. Lattes seem a little inconsistent lately..too weak and a little cold. I hope this improves soon.

The location itself is fairly small, and parking can be a little rough since it's in a popular area with limited metered parking. It's probably not somewhere I'd personally plan to sit and hang out for a while, but they do offer online pickup through DoorDash, and the service was quick (for reference, I went at around 8:45am on a Sunday). The employees were also friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. What really stood out to me was the flavor! The drinks are rich, flavorful, and really well-balanced. It's not bitter, overly sweet, or too plain. Everything we tried tasted consistent and intentional. The prices are a little on the higher side, but based on the quality, I think it's worth it. I'd definitely come back, especially for the Madagascar Vanilla Latte, the matcha, or even to just try something new on the menu!

Lovely brunch at the newly opened cafe portion of Colossus bakery…read more Stopped by the bakery first to grab their Cardamom roll. Which was delicious very "cardamomy" flavored, crispy layers. Dusted with Swiss pearl sugar. Just really yummy. Saw the almond croissant. Said oh will stop again on our way out. BIG mistake. Of course they were gone by then. Opted for the sticky toffee bun. She recommended warming before eating. What a nice little treat to share with my husband after dinner! Back to the cafe. Newly added as an adjoining space was vacated next to the bakery. Industrial modern interior. Spacious with 20(?) tables. Partners opted for the 2 egg breakfast. Eggs cooked perfectly as ordered. One ordered an omelet. Beautifully made. Would make Jacques Pepin or Thomas Keller proud. Thick sliced bacon. Thick sliced multigrain toast. Small side of spring mix salad adorned with watermelon radish. Very nice entree if you're an egg lover. Shared the French fries. They're like the ones my grandma made. Thick sliced potatoes deep fried. Crispy outside. Soft inside. Brings back pleasant memories. Get these if you're a French fry fan. The mushroom dip (think French dip with variety of sautéed mushroom in lieu of beef) was GREAT! Mushroom not overcooked, Muenster cheese draped atop. Crusty baguette bread. Although the dipping sauce was vegan based, the roasted mushroom base added enough umami for a deeply flavored dip. My only complaint was the clusters of oyster mushrooms were laid horizontally following the length of baguette. Which presents well but was a bit challenging to bite through. I dunno, maybe my teeth aren't sharp. Overall an outstanding dish. So my dilemma now is when to return to try the other menu items which didn't make my first cut. Parking is....well ya know...it's 2nd St. So the driver needs to be a good parallel parker. Cute shoes optional but be prepared to walk.
