When I was living closer to Cupertino, I used to bring my dry cleaning here quite frequently. The quality and service are decent and prices are reasonable. However, I stopped bringing my cleaning there after being frustrated with the service several times in a row. My clothes have not always been ready when promised. I also paid in advance to have the pilling on my sweaters removed and it was forgotten several times. I borrowed a dress and felt the need to get it dry cleaned before returning it. I'm glad I came here because it's near my apartment. I dropped it off and thought it would be ready for pick-up on the day on my receipt. I should have called ahead of time because it turned out they felt they wanted to put it through another cycle to get rid of everything. I was a little annoyed, but I also appreciated their thoroughness with the job. The dress eventually got cleaned and I was able to return it to its rightful owner. Paid for my dry cleaning when I dropped it off. Came back expecting to be able to pick it up and go, but they told me I had to pay. Needed to go back home again to grab credit card statement to show that I did indeed pay for it. Bad service, could have been resolved in a better way. They lost my business. Make sure you keep your receipt if you come here, or use credit card so you have some sort of proof that you paid. They will give you a hard time even if you are a regular. read more

This is great dry cleaning place . I have been going here for years even after moving further I still keep coming back . Nothing ever went wrong and I frequent this place 2-3 times per month . I have brought here not just usual shirts and sweaters but my silk drapes , winter coats , cashmere , blankets -everything is always perfect . Once I had $40 in my pants pocket and it was waiting for me at the pick up time .Husband / wife team work 6 days per week , are always friendly and cordial , never complain and always have a nice thing to stay to customers ! Yep, this has to be The BEST dry cleaner nearby. I'm always greeted with a smile, and I feel like my patronage is important to them. Even though I come here every few months or so (I don't have a lot of laudry/dry cleaning to be done), the lady in front remembers my last name. Pretty impressive. What's more impressive is the care that they take with my husband's dress shirts. I've been to places that have botched the starching, ironing or even disintegrated the buttons. Not here! The dress shirts ALWAYS come back impeccably starched and ironed. Once, I accidentally threw a silk shirt into the pile of shirts to be laundered. When I came to pick up my laundry, the lady in front let me know my mistake. Thank goodness they had the sensibility to check first, and my shirt wasn't ruined! Shine Cleaners is located in the Safeway strip mall, and is adjacent to Rite Aid. It's convenient to drop off/pick up your dry cleaning if you need to get groceries or stop by the pharmacy. read more

I tried this place based on good reviews on Yelp, but I think this place is way over rated. Maybe it is a fine place for informal clothes, but this is not the place that you would bring your fancy designer clothes. I was totally disappointed when I picked up my 100% silk blouse and pants that were overly pressed so that the shape of fabric was changed- it became too flat and the original crease of the pants was doubled. Additionally, only some of the stains were left untreated with masking tape still on the garment marking the stain. As a whole it was sloppy, disappointing, and I was left with clothes that weren't cleaned or pressed in a professional manner. I ended up bring them to another professional cleaner. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who would bring valuable clothes. read more

A detailed receipt - including pick-up date - was a nice surprise, and the cleaning job done was impeccable. My husband has been a customer for the last 7 years and he loves this place. I try to stay away from dry-clean-only, but he does not. He visits every 2 weeks with 10-15 pieces of his work clothes: dress shirts, suits, jackets, etc. He's always been very happy with the service, the owners know him by name and have always been accommodating. Once in a while I'd sneak in something of mine (usually a sweater or a dress) and no complaints either. I have had many nightmare experiences in the past with dry cleaners such as missing buttons, broken zippers, discoloration, and refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes. I have been take my clothes to Shine cleaners now for almost a year and I am glad to say that they have exceeded my expectations. Friendly, professional, careful, and the results are great. i am in love!! 1) i had my bm dress hemmed here. the cashier lady didn't know how to get my corset back tied up, but she was so sweet to" try" & help. (hey, if you ask me, its the thought that counts!) as for my dress, she got my hems done in less than a week. the hems were done well. in addition, she was nice enough to re-enforce the snap-buttons on my dress so it'll stay in tacked. flattered!! 2) the cashier lady is very personable. she tries her best to remember your name (and i know my name is hard) and is always cheerful friendly. it was only my 2nd time there & she knew exactly what i was there to pick-up. that is true customer service! what more can you ask?? read more

I took my mom's wedding dress here to see if it cleaned up well enough to wear for my own wedding. The owners were so wonderful! They were honest about the expectations of getting out stains that were 50 years old, and that it may not stand up to the chemicals. In the end, it was PERFECT! The stains didn't come out, but that wasn't their fault. The price was less than any other place, their service was exceptional, and they gave me a free dress bag for it when I picked it up. I've been going here for years and have always been happy with the service. Recently I took in a set of sheer curtains with mold stains. They warned me that the material was too delicate and would probably have issues. I said to go ahead anyway. When the curtains ended up with some tears, and the mold stains couldn't be removed, I offered to pay anyway, since the curtains had been cleaned and I had been warned, but they refused to take any money from me. read more
