Met a friend here for dinner on a Thursday. I was really wanting some Mediterranean and it was a mutual meeting spot with good yelp reviews so I figured we'd give it go. We were pretty disappointed. They have an all day lunch buffet for $8.99. The price is a winner for sure. However, the food was not, I had the kabob chicken, two different types of rice, steamed broccoli and grilled zucchini and tomatoes. The chicken had these yellow onions and an all around yellow tint which I figured out later was butter. It tasted alright at first but after a while the butter made me feel a bit icky. The rice was SUPER bland and flavorless. The broccoli was nicely steamed and flavorless but a nice steamed veggie nonetheless. The grilled zucchini was the best part.....the second batch of it at least. The first batch was overcooked, slightly blackened and shriveled. They later replenished it and the second batch was crisp and cooked just right. It made me wonder if the first batch was really that badly prepared or if it had just been sitting there too long. I also tried their hummus which was a bit chunky (strange) and lacked flavor, with their pita bread which was a bit harder than most but palatable. The waitress came by once to refill my drink but that's about it. Overall, I was NOT impressed and was happy that I at least didn't pay more than $10 for my meal. read more

If you are looking for the best Middle Eastern food in the North Texas area ......this is the place for you! This was horrible. We went as a family to celebrate Eid . After reading all the rave reviews we decided to give it a go. The server girl didn't speak English or understand a word we said. She kept forgetting our order and had to be reminded numerous times. We grew up eating middle eastern food, this was horrible. No flavor, bland, and tasteless. Don't judge this place by its looks and location, like I did for so long. I finally gave this place a shot the other day for lunch. Their buffet was surprising good! Their lamb meat was delicious. This place is a hidden treasure. From the outside, and even when you walk in, it doesn't look too appealing but boy oh boy does the food make up for it! There's this chicken butter sauce that is out of this world! So amazing! I coupled it with the chicken rice and it was delicious. I'm an American who lived in Tehran for almost 5 yrs and would've stayed longer had it not been for the 1979 revolution. Anyway, after all these years, I still crave the persian rice, the kabobs, the gormeh sabzi etc. My family has traveled 45 minutes to an hour one way for about 20 years to eat here and I love both the food and the hospitality. The smell alone brings back memories for me. The buffet is set at a great price, many options with fresh food coming out all the time and have never had anything but great service. My husband and I spotted this place on the way to El Fat fish for lunch. lunch menu got changed from Mexican seafood to Middle Eastern. We haven't been to Middle Eastern spot since we left L.A. and we have been craving for some. Lunch buffet is $7.99 per person. Reasonable price. Buffet had at least 15 dishes. We enjoyed Gyro, Kabobs and Falafel, Rice, Tabouli. Yogurt sauce. I didn't get to taste everything since it was so much food. Over all pretty good. Some Co-workers and I stumbled onto this place and decided to try out their lunch buffet. The server seated us right away and was attentive throughout the meal. Their Koobideh kabob was the best I've had around this area, great flavor and very tender meat. Their rice with cranberries was also very good and worth having. Their other buffet items were good and offered more variety for different taste buds, like meat stews and veggie dishes. The only thing I found lacking was the desert section. They only offered a rice pudding which was too thick in texture and not very good. Overall, a great value at $8 per person and nice, quiet, clean place to eat Persian food. read more

I thought I wrote a review for this one......Apparently not. Anyway, the dinner buffet was good. There was this dish with chicken and some kind of creamy sauce. It was delicious. Rice pudding with cinnamon sprinkled on top was very good. Bump up to 5 stars because of the good buffet I have just finished. Beef kabobs were the best I have ever had. The desert pudding was amazing, it smelled great with rose water. Edit: Take away a star because rice pudding was replaced with banana pudding. Seriously, why? read more

Meh. The food was barely okay. Most of the food had little flavor. I couldn't taste any distinct spiciness at all. Oddly enough, the creamy chicken dish was actually good. Probably because it had cream in it. But again kinda bland. The two varieties of rice were good. But it's hard to screw up rice. They did have a few vegetarian dishes that I haven't seen at other places. Otherwise, my biggest complaint were the lamb kebabs. The lamb kebabs were greasy. And they looked and tasted like breakfast sausage. The naan I received was room temperature. I've had a lot better Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in DFW so I won't go back. read more

It's hard to find places that serve dinner buffets especially Mediterranean, but this place does at a great price! I had never been since my favorite restaurant Noodle Wave is right next door, but I figured to give this place a try. All of the food was very good, but the kababs and gyro slices really stood out. We got the buffet so that we could try a little bit of everything but for $10 we got a lot of bit of everything lol. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back! Our favorites were the lentil soup and the meat kebap but honestly it was all great. Even the chicken that is in a cream sauce is amazing too. My family and I have been here lots of times. We don't feel very comfortable being here in many ways. One reason is that the food is way too greasy and tastes really old ( not fresh). Also, the glass on the outside is broken and somewhat has some gun shots. One day we come in there and our view was someone getting arrested. I hope you take this review very seriously. read more

I was very impressed by the quality and value at this place. You never know what you're going to get when you go to a place like this in a strip mall, but I was totally satisfied. I tried this place for the first time...the shopping center at lunch time is very busy and it seems the eatery next door might be the cause... parking was an issue even at 1 pm. I finally was able to park my car after driving around a few waiting on someone to leave. Besides myself there was a table of six ladies and another table of 3 people. Pretty much a hole in the wall vibe, not a place I would bring guests to impress. I can't say it was the most impressive buffet around but I was hungry and I really love middle eastern foods and compared to most buffets it was smaller but still plenty to choose from. Rice came in three variations, lentil soup was good, several veggie offerings including American standards like corn, broccoli etc., couple of healthy bean dishes, several meat entrees, a couple of salad options,including hummus. The pita bread was store bought.Overall the food did not have a lot of flavor and I enjoy flavor. The TWO dishes that really stood out was an eggplant dish and a chicken entree they called Butter Chicken. I asked the cashier if this place was Persian or Turkish and she says Kurdish. Their version of butter chicken was delicious...it had a rich creamy tomato-based sauce with a hint of red curry enough to give a perfect taste of heat without tears. The flavor was very interesting as the first flavor is the sweetness from the cream, then the tomato, and then a nice hit of heat from the red curry..delicious. An eggplant dish was very flavorful. I like eggplant but don't care much for the smoky flavors of babaganoush....this dish was prepared very differently with no smoky flavors. If I make a repeat visit it will be because of these two dishes. Overall I was not super impressed but it wasn't horrible. I would actually choose this place over the Black Eye Pea restaurant down the block but that is another review!! read more
