    Steak Hibachi lunch!
    Stephanie M.

I cannot say enough about their FRESH made food!!! I ordered steak hibachi lunch. Yummy! Not salty, super fresh, veggies were flavorful! Wife had Shrimp hibachi lunch...extremely fresh, flavorful, tender, perfectly cooked! Crisp veggies, steamed rice on point! Yum yum (?) sauce is yummy! Clean open environment! EAT HERE! Less than $20 for 2 people. There's no reason ever to eat any other fast food for lunch!

Miso soup, seaweed salad and two lunch rolls.

Ordered take out for lunch. Pre-ordered, but still waited 15 min past requested ready time, at least it had not been sitting there. I got lunch sushi special two rolls (spicy tuna and shrimp tempura). It was fine, I wish the spicy sauce was mixed with tuna vs squeezed on top. The miso soup was great. Seaweed salad was fine. Prices are good at lunch.

I love Japanese Food. Especially the Hibachi style. We come from Columbus, Ohio and one of our favorite places to go was a Japanese Steakhouse. I could have eaten there every single day. Lol. So when we happened upon this place I had to try. Nice that it is an Express place. Nice place inside. Sorry no pics. But my fellow Yelper Kaitlyn S has some great pics. The menu is primarily Sushi. I'm very selective when it comes to Sushi. And when I want to try some I will definitely give this place a try. I went in and ordered the Hibachi Entree with Chicken. I added Shrimp. The Lunch option is $7.25. Not bad. Added shrimp was an extra $4. It comes with fried rice, veggies and a drink. Not bad. And the portion is a pretty good size. I also added a size of Yum Yum Sauce as well. I really like the food. Very tasty. The location is pretty good. In the same shopping center as a Ross, Aldi, and a Popeyes.

This place has always been my favorite. I'm only posting this review in spite that the owners see this. This past order I have received from here, upon eating my rice I found a pleasant surprise!!! A WHOLE PIECE OF PLASTIC. This was very very disappointing! I could've choked or something. Or got Poisoned. Other wise this place is still good and would still eat here. Just upset something like this happened :(

Love this place! My favorite for quick but delicious hibachi and specialty sushi. Super accommodating for modifications, affordable and tastes better than most restaurants in my opinion. Highly suggest checking them out!

Close to 3.5 stars restaurant. I applaud their good price for people who craving for sushi. Although they may not the best, but judging for the affordable, I will give them a repeat visit which most of the owner is asking for. A repeat customer. This is close to cafeteria style with order at the counter and bring the food to the table. Their regular sushi is under $5. Specialty sushi is about $9. They have hibachi for your order. I have order the appetizer as fried rock shrimp. This is good size of shrimp. Each piece is about a dollar. Our main entrées are the stir fry beef noodle, spicy tuna, volcano roll, and Hawaii roll. Spicy tuna roll stands out for the taste. Good flavor. The specialty roll are drop behind the good name. I would try their lunch special if I am here. Better than fast food chain for the same amount of money.

Steak and shrimp combination hibachi dinner

I had much higher expectations for this place after multiple friends have visited and raved about it. I ordered ahead online to pick up. The process was very easy and prices online did reflect the actual prices of the food. After ordering, the restaurant called in verify that I did in fact know that it was on Florida Ave. I think this was due to the fact that there is another location close by with a similar name. Upon walking in, the place seemed clean. It wasn't super busy but the girl at the register that was taking the order of the customer ran to me as soon as I got there. I thought this was rude and I could have waited until she was finished. They could have stood to have another person up front taking orders. She asked for my name twice and had a hard time finding the food order. I wasn't impressed. The food I got hibachi style was warm. It had just come up when I got there. I got the Steak and Shrimp combination with fried rice and veggies. The steak tasted fresh and was tender but the shrimp was chewy and did not have a lot of flavor. I would not recommend the shrimp. The veggies were overcooked and lacked flavor. I purposely put no mushrooms on the order in a few places online and there were still quite a few mushrooms in the veggies. This is the large version. While the container looks pretty big, when compared to a friend who order a small version, the amount of food was very similar. The salad was a waste of time. They could have just left that out. The dressing was questionable and the lettuce was just a handful of wet romaine thrown in a Styrofoam container. I also got a Red Dragon Roll. When I took it out of the bag I was impressed by how much was in the container. It was a decent roll and had a pretty good taste for a quick sushi fix. It could have used some extra spicy mayo but it was tasty! The wasabi wasn't that good though. Also, be mindful, even if you ask online or on the phone for extra sauce doesn't mean you will get it. Look before you leave! Good news is there is plenty of parking! No need to worry about where to park - it is in a shopping center.

    Hibachi salmon

Ordered off UberEats. Literally the worst Japanese food I've ever had. They try and hide how dry and tasteless their salmon is by drenching it in BBQ, which frankly, they don't even mention that they are putting bbq sauce on your salmon. Doesn't show BBQ in the photo.. The fried rice is bland, the gyoza was burnt, the gyoza soup was bland, the vegetables were bland. You all know you're supposed to season food...right? Absolutely awful. Never eating here again.

If you're looking for the American hibachi experience, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is the way to go. I…read morewill jump around a bit with this review as I am returning to writing, but hope that it makes sense as you read it. The restaurant is located conveniently within the Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area in northern Tampa. The parking spaces in the front does get crowded and full rather quick, however there are plenty of spaces in the back that isn't too far of a walk. The entrance/main door is actually off to the side under the hard structure roofing - you walk through a small section of the outdoor seating patio to get to it. It must be noted that this review and experience is based on the following factors: - The review is written strictly for the American hibachi experience. The restaurant does offer other a la carte options if you don't want the "showmanship" and flair with your dining experience. - A reservation was made through Open Table. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand. This was purposeful and intentional due to the occasion, and I wanted to make sure we were locked in. I feel that this also made for a smoother seating process as the restaurant had to prepare the table and chef. All in all from arrival to getting seated, we waited no more than 10 minutes after our entire party was present. - There were 12 individuals in our party which also accounted for the prompt seating (I believe you are paired and tetris'd with other guests for smaller parties). 12 is the max that a table can host - anything more will require multiple tables. I want to emphasize at this point how Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is suited for large parties. Most, if not all, the individuals in our party have not had American hibachi for as long as we can remember. We also had children in our party. Taking this all into account, it turned out to be the perfect venue for any type celebratory events (business outings, birthdays, baby showers, etc.) I could not recommend this place enough if you want an "easy winner" to delight the group. Now let's talk about the food and the chef. The quality and taste definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was cooked perfectly and the meats were extremely tender and flavorful. While not the most animated of the chefs there, our particular chef was very attentive to our needs. He ensured that our meal was enjoyable and delicious. Pricing-wise, you're looking at an average cost of $30 to $40 per individual. Overall service was not bad - the most important part was that everyone was welcoming and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend Kobe Japanese Steakhouse if you are the one planning for a large group!

They use an exorbitant amount of butter, salt, and sauce...to the point where it overwhelms everything. Better make an appointment with your cardiologist after this meal! I will give credit where it's due: Ty, our chef, was great. He kept the table entertained and laughing with his jokes, and he was easily the highlight of the experience. I know Kobé has a very loyal following, and clearly plenty of people love it, but it's just not for me. I'll be skipping this place in the future and sticking with Benihana when I want hibachi.

The all-you-can-eat menu includes a drink, salads, hot and cold appetizers, sushi rolls, sashimi, fried rice, tempura, and dessert. If everyone in your party chooses the all-you-can-eat option, you can also try each other's dishes. Overall, the dishes we had were okay. The standouts were the sushi rolls, the rocking shrimp (which my friend really enjoyed), and some of the sashimi. One thing I didn't particularly like about some of the rolls and appetizers like the Asian taco was that they were heavily covered in sauce, which could sometimes be overpowering. Some of the sashimi cuts were also a little sloppy. A cleaner, more precise cut would improve the presentation and overall experience. That said, I think the amount of food you get for the price, especially with a drink included, makes it worth checking out. If you're in the area, I'd say give it a try. With a few small improvements in presentation and consistency, I think they could get closer to a four-star experience.
