I just paid off my 2014 CRV. I have received 2 notices from Honda Financial Services about a possible insurance refund. One at 30 days & the other at 60. My first approach was to call them repeatedly. I never got a response, so I tried FB messaging. Richard said someone would get back to me. That never happened! Dishonest practices in the service department. Tried to pressure me into purchasing certain services multiple times for my brand new vehicle I brought in for an oil change, I kept declining. Once I got past that, I was told my tire was completely deflated from a large puncture...that they removed the object and tried to patch it but we're not successful and cannot let me drive off the lot like it is. I advised them when I brought it in, I had no issues...they kept pressuring me to buy a new tire...rep now changed his story and told me that the object was still in the tire...I advised them I'll take it somewhere else if there is an issue but I know for a fact it wasn't deflated when I brought it in. Rep finally said they'll wrap up my oil change and bring my car out. When the vehicle was brought out I asked where the puncture was and he was not able to locate it....2 weeks later and pressure in the tire hasn't dropped. I had a decent experience for the purchase of 2015 Honda Civic. I believe the name of gentleman who helped me was Bruno. He provided excellent customer service and was patient with my purchasing needs. The only con was how they tried to place me with a more expensive car but it was out of my budget, which I understood yet they tried to get me to purchase that car even though it was not within my budget. Once they realized I was not going to budge on that purchase, they went to a less expensive car which turned out to be my Honda Civic. Also, when I returned for my oil change 6 months later they didn't top off my fluids like they said they would. Got a brand new Accord 2020, less than a week after getting the car had MAJOR issues with steering wheel, breaks and lane keep assist. First I was told to be there before the service closed at 6PM. Showed up at 4:30 and was told all service techs were gone but that I could leave the car if I didn't feel comfortable driving, no rental car! The next day called to see the status and was told they were still checking on it. Later at 3:45 received a call from service tech who told me I had to head over to Bell Honda before 4:30 if I wanted to get a rental that day (Like I just sit around waiting for their call?) When I finally got my Accord back it was dirty, completely empty of gas and with over 100 miles on the car from when it was dropped off. Since it's a lease asked if those miles would be deducted from my lease and was told "Can't promise anything"! Horrible experience! Would not recommend. read more

I purchased my car a few months ago and was promised a "we owe you" to fix my windshield that has a leak. It was my main concern when I bought the car and it was promised by Jessica(in sales) and the Manager that they would personally take care of it. Fast forward a few months later and after numerous attempts by phone, emails, in person visits and bringing my car in for service twice I am told that my "we owe" does not exist... even though the windshield was just 1 of 2 issues I had, the other was honored and fixed with the same policy. I was given the run around like a dog chasing my tail FOR MONTHS. I went in to get another temporary license plate because mine had expired, and I was told by the finance department that everyone on my sale team is no longer with the company. I was in contact with a Jacob Welty to see an older Prius that had come available on 7/30. I wanted to come to see it today, 7/31, after work. I e mailed Jacob at 3:00 that I would be there at 3:30. He said fine he would have the car ready to see. I left work and traveled a half hour the opposite direction of home to the dealership. Although I brought my car in at 12:50pm for an oil change I received my car back at 2:14pm However, the customer service here is why I gave them 5 stars. The front lady in the waiting room was very friendly and nice and made sure I was taken care of before leaving. Travis Kernats was very helpful as well. On more than on occasion I had (random) staff ask me if I was taken care of or if they could help and I liked that. The time for the oil change is lengthy but this is a dealership so I understand there's a lot of people so my suggestion would be to drop your car off and go somewhere (they do provide transportation if you need it with no cost I believe) but overall happy with the customer service. I only have experience with the service department. 1) They overcharge you for basic things ($70 to change a cabin air filter, for instance, is which is about $8-12 in parts and 1 minute of your time) 2) They recommend and aggressively sell service that either A) doesn't need done at all B) may need done soon, but not now. I've overheard them in the waiting room trying to sell expensive and unnecessary "services" like the "fuel system cleaning" to unsuspecting customers, and even heard one of their people trying to get someone to think about buying a new car from them. Sleazy. 3) They are very very slow. Always get a second opinion before doing any service with them. Recently they told me that my Civic's CV boot was cracked and "spilling grease everywhere", and needed replaced. It's a common problem to have with Hondas. There were also other front end suspension issues that "needed to be fixed ASAP". All told their estimate was around $700 for all this. I took it to a local independent Honda/Acura mechanic and was told none of that was required now or even soon--just to keep an eye on it when I do oil changes. In fact, Showcase's statement about "leaking grease" was BS. Steer clear, take your Honda to any other of the many independent Honda service shops in the valley. read more

I want to give negative stars. I purchased a used vehicle here and as soon as I drove it off the lot problems occurred. I've had the vehicle for four months. The tire light went off first, I've replaced one tire that had a bubble and two more tires have leaks. The headlight went out. The engine is now leaking oil. I went in to get an oil change and have these other issues addressed, hoping they would give me a deal considering I just bought the vehicle four months ago. They completely refused to service my vehicle!! They blamed it on my blow device. They didn't want to blow into my device bc they were scared of the Coronavirus!! I have no sickness or symptoms of sickness. They sold me a bunk car and refused me service bc of my legally mandated blow device!!!! I do not recommend this business. read more

Dealership review Tl;dr: Business manager named Trey used high pressure and near bullying tactics to try to scare us into buying a Mechanical Protection Plan so we decided to walk away from the purchase of a 2021 CRV hybrid I came with my sister to Showcase Honda on May 29th, 2021 to help her buy a Honda CRV hybrid. We scheduled an appointment for 9:30 and were paired with Amber Fuller as our sales rep. Amber was absolutely amazing and very low pressure when showing us the vehicles we were interested in. She also took the time to make sure the vehicle we chose matched what my sister was truly interested in getting. I highly recommend buying a car with Amber. The entire process of buying the car, including negotiating the price of the car, went pretty smoothly UNTIL we were handed over to the business office. The first gentleman we spoke to tried to sell us a Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP)package for an additional ~4.5K and we told him we weren't interested because of the additional cost and while he was telling us about it I did a quick google search about the protection package and customer reviews were not good. We thought things were still moving along well and were still ready to purchase the car until we were introduced to a man named Trey (who I think was a manager in the business department). Trey again tried to sell us the MPP at what he claimed was the employee rate of ~$2400. We told him we didn't believe we needed it because Honda's are great cars, but he kept PUSHING the package. He claimed that electronics are the first things to fail in cars due to the heat in Arizona. Although this may be true, the way he presented the information to us made it seem like the electronics in the 2021 CR-V hybrid we were planning to buy can and WILL FAIL so we have to buy the protection plan he was pushing at us. If any person who works at any dealership regardless of brand, tells me that the electronics of a brand new car will fail why would anyone want to spend $40k+ on that car?? At this point after arguing back and forth with Trey about the necessity of the MPP package my sister and I decided to walk out of the purchase because of our decreased belief in the CR-V's reliability and the aggressive sales tactic of Trey. One thing to also note is that Trey kept saying "computers were first put into cars in 2013!" suggesting that the technology was so new and fragile that we NEED TO BUY this extra MPP coverage or else we would have to pay thousands and thousands in repair costs. As two people with computer science backgrounds we knew this claim was completely bogus (computers started going into cars as early as the 1980s). We are not stupid people and are aware that electronics fail, but we personally did not want the MPP, yet Trey kept pushing and pushing the MPP such that we questioned the reliability of the car. We were so turned off by his sales tactic we decided to walk out to which his response was to quickly get a store manger (Amir/Ahmit might have been his name) to try and convince us to still buy the car. They followed us out of the dealership trying to get us to buy the car. They went as far as offering to lower the purchase price of the car and give us a better deal, but by that time we were both sick of being pushed and bullied into buying the additional protection plan. All of the guys in this dealership work as a team to get me to buy the vehicle whether it was lying to me and my mother just so we would get a better feeling. Service: I have had nothing but a run-around when dealing with the service department. I bought a certified used car earlier this year. In the sale agreement I was promised a different radio and a spare key. It took me about 3 months to get these things promised to me. I had to speak with several different people in sales, service and parts. It wasn't until I got a manager involved did the problem get resolved Now I am trying to get an armrest installed on my driver seat before making a cross-country drive. I have already called three times and talked to four different people. No one can even tell me if an armrest exists for my car (though I can find it online). Making an appointment was easy, and it was done in the time quoted, so that's all good. But man oh man do they try to find some way to make real money off you. First, a bunch of silly concerns about whether my car had regular maintenance or not and hey we just so happen to have a special on that (my car had and thanks but no thanks). But ever since I've been getting calls about trading in my car towards something new. Every time I say no not interested and take me off your list, a week or two goes by and I get another call. (A side pet peeve: first thing out of their mouth is just them asking for you by name. Man, I don't know you, identify yourself first.) Just a few minutes ago I got another call, once again said take me off your list, the guy sounded put out and then I got a TEXT saying confirm you want text messages from Showcase Honda. W-T-F. In summary: if you need a recall addressed at a dealership, you could do worse. But give them a fake number or something. UPDATE 5/11/18: Still periodically get sales calls from Showcase, got the latest just now. BEWARE if you choose to lease from them however! My wife and I have received a phone call every single week since 6 months from our lease end date pushing us into a new car. We got there around 11am and we were on our way home in our beautiful Honda around 1:30pm. Within those 21/2 hrs, we test drove a couple of cars, chat with our sales rep about pros and cons of choosing one between two cars, took care of the financing arrangements and got info on all the little perks that came with the purchase. It's been 6 months since we got our Honda, and I just dropped my car off at the service center for an oil change and software update plus a bonus wax coating that came with the deal (we'll get free waxing every 6 months for 5 yrs). During the servicing, you can wait in the reception area or you could walk to Starbucks on 16th street to have a little latte while you wait for your car. I love the convenience! Well let me first start by saying that l think that the general population thinks that Auto Dealers are "the bad guys". It is a shame that they have this black cloud hanging over them. Well, everyone (from Manny Hare in sales to Izad Far in service) @ Showcase Honda is definitely not a "bad guy". At first I did have my guard up when going to the dealer but Manny did a great job making me feel at home and the "sales pressure" cliche went away. I was able to test drive whatever I wanted (felt too good to be true) without talking #'s or signing my life away. I was in there hands as I wanted to get out of my car that I still owed on and didn't have the best credit to work with. I was very pleased as they presented me with options. I am extremely pleased with the service department as I did have to take the car in for some minor details after purchase. I think I am getting flagged, I don't know. Either way, here it is again. I don't understand the negative reviews. I have nothing but good things to say about Showcase Honda. I go there for maintenance and have purchased two cars from them. I have family and friends who have as well. I have dealt with at least 10 different sales members over the last 2 years and EVERYONE was respectful and helpful. I was there last night and after hours of negotiation, I ended up keeping my existing Honda due to personal reasons. They worked with me and gave me a REMARKABLE deal but I declined. Even after saying no, the sales team joked around with me and treated me with respect. Nate was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I walked away even more satisfied with Showcase as well as Honda. I always walk away happy from the dealership. I am a Showcase Honda customer for life. I think that people do not ask the right questions when buying or testing a car. I don't think they understand that the car itself is one payment while the added warranties and programs get added while signing the paper work. You can decline them even though they have wonderful programs. I also think people confuse the term "harass" with selling and negotiation. Whether or not people have had a bad experience, I do not respect a review with foul language. When it comes to the Maintenance Department, I have nothing but glowing reviews for them as well. They have a comfortable waiting area with free refreshments and free wifi. If you do not feel like waiting you can be driven back to wherever you came from and then picked up. The service members are very clear and open with costs as well as the necessity of repairs. The costs are competitive too. The deals at Showcase have proved helpful to me. The team members make sure to lay down a protective paper in the foot area and on my seat during maintenance. You can also get a free car wash and vacuum. We also asked for a price break down, via email, of the out the door price, "they don't do that there." Email confirmation of in office appointment asked for proof of military and recent college graduation. Before coming in we asked if not qualifying for these things would change that guaranteed starting price. Aaron told us it wouldn't change. Of course this was a lie. As soon as we sit down the price changes because I don't qualify for these things. Also they put all these add ons to the cars, and charge you for them, stating "these are things our customers asked us for." Ok that's great for them, but I didn't ask for the extra $3000 in add ons. Buying a car is a fairly miserable experience in my opinion, and I walked into Showcase ready to hate everyone in there. However, I did have a relatively painless experience buying my 2010 Honda Fit a few weeks ago. I made an appointment ahead of time to see a vehicle that was pulled from their pre-inspection lot for me. As soon as I pulled up (at 730 pm), I was greeted by the salesperson who was expecting me. I had also been called a few minutes earlier to be told that the person I had corresponded with was no longer available but that another salesperson would be there. The exact car I was looking for was parked directly in front of the dealership. I knew what I wanted to buy, so the test drive was a bit of a formality. The negotiation process was annoying, but not so bad considering I got what I wanted. I was able to bargain the price of the monthly payment down by about $100 per month and get a few upgrades for "free." The worst part of the experience was the "back room," i.e., financing, where I was given a long speech about some ridiculous extended warranty that would wind up costing me $30/month for an oil change needed twice a year. Anyway, I was out by 11:30 pm with a new car (exactly the model, trim, color and options I wanted), great financing and a better price than I had predicted. Car salesmen can be horrible, and I'm sure that there are jerks at Showcase. I didn't meet any when I was there, though. They treated me with respect, and we had a perfectly acceptable business transaction. A few more specifics: I wanted floor mats for free and specifically asked my salesman if there would be any "floor mat surprises" after I signed. I should have been more specific and gotten his "no way" answer in writing. Unfortunately, the car did not include floor mats, though it did include a more expensive cargo tray, mud/splash guards, nitrogen inflated tires and a 5-year exterior paint warrant w/ waxing. (I declined the pinstriping for aesthetic reasons only.) Here's the thing...I was mad about the floor mats, but I got keyless entry for free AND the parts department honored an online-only price for the mats, which I got at about 35 percent off retail. This took no haggling at all. I honestly really like getting my car serviced at a Honda dealership. I traded in a '95 Accord that had been serviced at the dealership for 15 years. Based on my experience with Showcase, I'll likely go back for at least the first few oil changes and brake work. We'll see how it goes. Been in there twice for a zak tek coating issue, they just bounce you around because no one wants to help. Zak tek is a clear coating that is designed to protect your paint. They practically bully you into getting it at the time of purchase. This shit works so well, the paint on my car is fucking peeling off after their second reapplication. Called zak tek myself to file a claim, guess what you have to do that through the purchasing dealership. No problem EXCEPT THEY DON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS OR DO ANYTHING WHEN YOU SHOW UP. Showcase Honda was the only dealership that offered the most inventory, the best price, and was not into the phone tag games as the other two. Everyone was extremely friendly and I have to say, throughout my experience in purchasing vehicles, I could not have met anyone nicer than Sam Marshall. Sam did not hassle in my selection, was very accomodating, and very patient. We sat and negotiated on prices and in other dealearship, you may be accosted by two or three different managers; whereas at Showcase, it was just Sam. NOT TO MENTION the great affordable price. I would definetly recommend that you take a look at showcase when you are comparing prices. This is one place where they treat the customer as if they were family!!! The absolute worst dealer I have ever been to in Arizona, Phoenix area. I came in with intend to buy a used car from 15k - 20k (included taxes & fee) and I would pay cash (money I borrow from my bank and my cash down which is an "X" number depend on the final purchase). I saw 2 civic which were advertised 13.5k and 14k. I know they would have some extra optional services that cost money but It optional!! They will show the money they want, then try to fool me by playing around with the numbers because they know I have in mind about 7k down. Never discuss and give reasons for the price of that USED vehicle !!! There is a lot of factors that affect the value of the vehicle. They did not even give a reason for their selling price. I walked straight out of the store. A floor manager ran out, pull down my window, and tried to make a deal, at that point, I was done and just wanted to leave. He laughed and told me "I see you are upset, I know it's hard to save 7k". Bruh, I know how to manage my money.
