Yesterday, I ordered the steak frites through DoorDash. Steak was amazing, the chimchurri sauce was plentiful, the fries were plentiful. Today, I ordered the steak frites in person to take home. Steak was burnt and 3 pieces less than yesterday, the chimchurri sauce was slim, the fries were 1/3 what they were yesterday. I am disappointed in what I received today for $19. A rip off today, what was a good deal yesterday. Maybe the inconsistencies are why in person service is much less what it used to be. read more

I think I just died and gone to waffle heaven. If I can find good gluten free dishes, I will keep coming back. Usually places do gluten free really well or really terrible, especially if it has a grainy aftertaste. I love Sibling and their variety of dishes. Pros: they have gotten their waffles down. This is the first place to get the texture and taste down. I am a sucker for sweets especially pancakes and waffles. I enjoyed every dish I've ordered so far. The staff are friendly and check in often. I love their online waitlist system too. Makes it so easy to plan brunch and skip the wait! I come a couple times a month for the vegan breakfast sandwich. Always, always good! Highly recommend. My friends ordered the chicken sandwich and steak sandwich. Steak sandwich friend said that it was, fine. Wouldn't order again Chicken sandwich friend said that it wasn't great. Wouldn't order again. I'd give this place 3.5 stars solely because of the service. Everything took forever to come out, more than 45 minutes, our waitress didn't even tell us her name and it took forever after we were finished to get our bill. The food here however is quite good. I came here for brunch with some yelp friends and I'm so glad I did! I've heard of Pushkin's but never knew about Sibling. The place was bustling when I arrived and my group had already started with Mimosas and a chips and spinach dip. The spinach dip was vegan and I swear it tasted like the Real Deal spinach dip I make at home with all the non vegan ingredients, it was tasty! I ordered the chicken tacos with a fried egg on top. Let me just say....I chose this dish because I love to look at food photos and this dish was one I had to try! Damn, it didn't disappoint! It was so good, I had no leftovers! It was very similar to a chilaquile. What I love about Siblings is that I noticed no matter how busy it got, every dish that came out was so esthetically pleasing. I was nosy looking at the table next to us too, and their dishes were beautifully plated. Plus, the wait wasn't too long to receive our meals and there were seven in our group and the place was packed. Just had a fantastic breakfast here celebrating my mom's birthday! We only had to wait a few minutes so that they could push some tables together for 7 adults and a toddler. The food was sooo good. 4 of us got waffles-2 got the classic, 1 got the bacon pressed, and I got the birthday party. The birthday party waffle comes with sprinkles inside and on top and with whipped cream. It was good but very sweet. I really enjoyed the bacon pressed one and will order that one next time. Couldn't tell the waffle was gluten free. Other people at the table got the chicken tacos, pork belly sandwich, and eggs Benedict. They said it was very yummy too. Also the hashbrowns and bacon were nice and crispy. We had coffee, brown sugar lattes, and matcha latte. Again very good. It was a really nice breakfast and will return again! I was excited to try this place because they have a fully vegan brunch menu, which includes vegan baked goods and pancakes, which are not easy to come across. Despite joining the waitlist ahead of time, it still took about 30-45 mins for us to be seated after arriving at the restaurant. The interior has a nice, cozy ambiance and it seems like everything is prepared fresh. We tried the vegan pancakes, vegan eggs, vegan avocado toast, spicy crispy rolled tacos, and the vegan farm fresh. The tacos were delicious and the best thing we ordered. The avocado toast was also very good, the pancakes were fluffy, and the vegan eggs were devoured by my kids. The farm fresh was somewhat basic in comparison to the rest of the dishes but still cooked and seasoned really well. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. She forgot one of our dishes and when I inquired about it, she brought it out right away and removed it from our bill due to the inconvenience. If we find ourselves back in Sacramento, we'll be sure to dine here again! read more

The blueberry cinnamon coffee cake would've been better if it was warmed before serving. It was very tasty nonetheless, but it being warmed would've put it over the top. The goat cheese omelette needed some flavor. The goat cheese was very good, but overall it just lacked. A sauce or salsa would be a nice addition. The rolled tacos were very good. The black bean purée was tasty and the jalapeños were spicy, which enhanced the flavor profile of everything else. read more

My family and I came here for breakfast this morning after a doctor's appointment in the area. My parents were both lacto vegetarian for the day and after a quick Yelp search, this place was close by in downtown Sac & fit their dietary needs perfectly as there was such a large vegan selection. Even for 10am on a Monday morning, this place was still quite busy and was at least half full! I ordered the Portobello Benedict, my mom ordered a Tofu Scramble & my dad ordered the Pesto Breakfast sandwich. I really do wish I had ordered something else as I thought my meal was just okay but it was definitely my choice of order. My parents loved their dishes a lot and even mentioned that they'd come out all the way to Sacramento just for the breakfast (and we're from the East bay!) I should also mention that our waiter was fantastic and the restaurant itself on the outside and in was very aesthetically pleasing. I'm giving it a 5 star review still because I know there's so much potential in the food and I will try something else next time (probably on the regular menu) but it worth it to come here with my parents with dietary restrictions as it felt like such a real treat for them so any place that they like a lot deserves my full 5 star rating. read more

Well worth the wait! I visited for the first time after running CIM (the local marathon) and while they were slammed, it was worth running 26 miles and waiting for about an hour. The vegan pancakes and tofu scramble were some of the best I've ever had (and I'm very picky about my pancakes). The black coffee was also excellent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff (be nice to them, they've got a lot going on), and really outstanding food. I'll sign up for this race again just to come back to Sibling! read more

I'm sorry that I forgot to take pictures, but I was enjoying my experience. Seems to be a popular place for breakfast. There was a steady stream of patrons, but it didn't feel rushed. The servers are super sweet and attentive. I had a standard two egg breakfast with bacon and my friend had the shakshuka with gluten free bread. Both of us had coffee which was just okay. It had a weird aftertaste that I didn't care for. Breakfast was good. The hash browns were crispy, but reminded me of the ones from McDonald's. I like that they serve salad with breakfast. The lemony vinaigrette is delicious. Bacon is plentiful and crispy, also. Eggs were made to order. Next time I will order the shakshuka. I tasted my friend's and it was flavorful. First time here, sis and I tried this place out for brunch since they are one of the few restaurants in Downtown Sacramento than opens at 8AM on Sundays. The restaurant had a good crowd but not full. We were seated within 5 mins and we opted for an outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day! I ordered chicken and waffles, and sis a portobello benedict. My chix and waffles were delicious! I received three strips and a full waffle. The chix strips were lightly breaded/seasoned, juicy, and tender. The plate came with a side of butter and syrup. Sis' portobello benedict looked delish also, though, I'm not a fan of big mushroom it still looked very tasty. The service was good and we'd totally return! The location is great. It's located in that gray area where it's almost midtown but it's technically downtown. There are tons of transit options nearby from busses, walking, scooters and bikes, to having street parking available. The street in front of the restaurant is closed to traffic to accommodate for outdoor seating. The service was decent. We came in a party of nine so long wait times were to be expected (darn you mandatory party service fee!!) Some of our food came out very slow or even much later than others. We waited almost an hour to be seated. Their hours are also kinda funky like why close at 3PM? I guess if you want to be solely a breakfast/lunch spot it makes sense but some people eat late and still want to order food. The prices are pretty steep. Almost everything on the menu is $15 minimum. It would be hard to walk out of here under $45 for a meal for two. You most definitely need to break the piggy bank to eat here ($$$). The silver lining is that the flavor is spectacular and makes up for the prices. My pesto breakfast sand which was to die for. I'm normally a fast eater but I ate that bad boy slowly just to savor each bite just a little longer. It was crunchy and warm, with a bit of spice and love. Words cannot begin to describe the intensity of the flavor. You need to get it if you come here. My sweet potato fries were a little cold but still amazing. If I could leave a 4.5 star review I would because it's almost at a 5 star but the prices and service hold it back. One thing I will say is they have spectacular vegan/vegetarian options on their menu that separate them from other restaurants in the area. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had gluten-free or not! LOCATION: I've actually never been here. Only found them during the pandemic and have gotten it delivered. PRICE: On par with a typical breakfast sandwich in Sacramento. FOOD: I had the breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, spinach and avocado. It was delicious. I never get sandwiches with avocado because the avocado is usually tasteless, but for some reason I let it slide this time and I'm damn glad I did. It complimented everything here with flavor enough for me to eat the pieces that had fallen out. EXPERIENCE: Ordering anything delivery comes at a risk these days. Ate breakfast here on our last day in Sacramento. It's a great spot in the middle of a neighborhood. The restaurant was packed both inside and on the patio. We had to wait a few minutes for a table to be open. It took about 30 minutes for the food to come out once ordered. The Cruzer sandwich was amazing! The fig jam and pesto added such a great taste to the cruzer. The side of sweet potato fries was okay, cooked a little to long. My daughter loved her waffle plate. Definitely fills up quick on the weekends. Pro: Nice little spot and the server was really nice and attentive. They have gluten free options which is a huge plus. It's so hard to find healthy options not covered in grease. The doughnuts were delicious and very fresh. Nice and hot so we ordered more. My omelette was very good and not puddled with fat. I like the unique dill and cheese flavor. Cons: Kitchen took a very long time for a small side salad add on and the charge to add mushroom to my omelette was really high. It's wild to think that I (who has a few dietary sensitivities) could dine in and feel at ease with others preparing my meals. On August 10th, my wife and I came to Sibling for lunch. We checked in with the host a little after 12pm and were told it would be 30 min wait for a table, which was completely understandable since it was at the peak of lunch rush. My wife put in her name and her phone number for a table of two, and we went to check out some shops around the area. We came back about 20 minutes later and waited outside for about 15 minutes. We still didn't not get a text and thought maybe the host misheard our phone number when we checked in so my wife checked with the host and were told another 10 minutes. We sat down inside to wait and saw other people coming in getting seated right away. At this point more than 10 minutes had passed, there were plenty empty tables and were the only two in the waiting area. There were a couple of staff members at host area and no one checked with us. We ended up just walking out after waiting for almost an hour. We usually really like coming to Sibling, but this was an extremely frustrating experience. read more

I was looking forward to going here on Mother's Day bcuz there were meat & vegan options! My daughter had the shashuka the eggs were poached hard which is not poached at all. Our party of eight ordered a variety of dishes, including sandwiches and the breakfast farm fresh plates. I tried the vegan version with tofu scramble and it was very plain and tasteless. No seasonings on the mushrooms or hash browns. My husband found the chicken sandwich unsatisfying but he thought the French fries were ok. Service was very slow. Our meals came in two waves. Three of our guests had to wait a long time after five of us received our dishes first. We wanted to try this restaurant because it offered a vegan menu. Parking was also difficult in this downtown location. There are probably better places to enjoy lunch. read more
