As a result, you get the best ratings on Yelp that money can buy. The location has a great layout and ambiance. I could not confirm their organic beef source, but it would be ideal if they complied. After consumption, I can tell it lacks the texture of the organic staple. As a California-based burger business, complying with the standards of optimum health options would undoubtedly pull customers out of the marketing synopsis. People who consume red meat as a whole have no idea where the source comes from. People who eat organically grown red meat are conscious of its resources and support sustained agriculture that works for the planet and not against it. It also brings about a certain level of consciousness to the dining experience. Suppose you want to be the best in this business; you have to follow the pathway that makes you universal. While this spot is making waves after 5 + years, they still have not realized their true potential. True potential begins with what you consume and ultimately ends with what is left over. The toppings were fresh and ample. I really enjoyed it. I would probably order a double to get more burger taste. The fries were crispy with a dusting of a Cajun seasoning. These are great especially with a cold beer. With a decent variety of 6-8 beers on tap, this is a great place to hang out with friends to enjoy a casual lunch. My only constructive criticism is that their beer is not cold enough. They should turn down their beer fridge 10 degrees colder or get their beer fridge serviced to perform better. read more

We walk in the setup was nice, tarps over head providing shade. People eating out on the patio, not busy at that time. music playing it was a vibe. We check the menu and proceed to order. I got a hyphy fried chicken sandwich with fries, at the window was a written special called the munchies it included a 4 piece wing with fries. Lemon pepper of course. We also ordered Oreo shakes. We took a seat enjoyed the music. Our order was up grabbed our food and headed back to the dmv. The fries were pretty good. Lightly seasoned. I bit into my sandwich and it was loaded with flavor, it was a really good chicken sandwich with just the right amount of spice. The ms liked her wings, they weren't as crispy as she preferred but that was because it steamed in the box. The first time I went here I stood in line for 15 minutes and when I got to the front of the line they tell me they're not taking anymore orders for another 10-15 minutes because they're behind! I didn't get any food that visit. The second time I visited I was able to place an order soon after getting in line and the food came out within 15 minutes. We tried the hyphy fried chicken sandwich and the chicken wings. The sandwich was soooo greasy. After holding the sandwich for the first bite the bun was essentially flat and soaked through in grease. I opened the sandwich up to shed some of the fried breading in an attempt to allow me to finish the sandwich. No luck - just too greasy! The wings were not my style at best, potentially not completely cooked. They definitely weren't fried, they were boiled so the skin was slimy/oily and super thick. We had to rip the skin off, and thus the sauce, to make them edible. Disgusting. Oh and after the little bit that I ate I had instant heartburn. I made mine garlic fries for $1.43 extra making the total about $14. Well worth it. Sideshow Burger has two patties if you want to double down. Veggie is an option. I'll try the fried chicken sandwich sometime. I love their beer garden set up with TVs. It's a good Oaktown vibe. Plus, they serve 4-5 beers with an ever-changing list on the chalkboard. Everything I've had here has been awesome. I've been here three times. Every time, I get the wings. Lemon pepper & lemon pepper BBQ are my favorites. If you get both of these, the lemon pepper bbq outshines the lemon pepper because of all the flavor in the bbq sauce. However, lemon pepper on their own are SO GOOD. This last trip, we ordered online. We got a dozen wings (split lemon pepper & lemon pepper bbq), hyphy chicken sandwich + fries. The online ordering system allows you two flavors for the dozen wings!! The sides for the sandwich were a little confusing. It says it comes with fries but then has a selection of other sides you can choose. However, regular fries aren't an option. It would have been too good to be true, but we hoped we misunderstood the system and that we'd get both sides. As a result, we asked in the box and said if there is only one side, that we'd like fries. We got to the shop and were notified by staff that it would take another 5 minutes for our food to be ready. They also confirmed that we wanted fries over salad, as it's one or the other. We were totally cool with this and appreciated them confirming. We went for a short walk and returned to our food packed and ready for us to take home. They also noted that they gave us fries and salad. It was so sweet. We both had a rough week and it was a pleasant surprise. We unpacked the food and were so giddy. The food locked great and was plentiful. The wings were solid. Of course, they are better if eaten there, but still super yummy. The salad was nice. The dressing had an interesting ingredient; we think cinnamon. I also liked that it had pickles, in addition to cucumbers and tomatoes. The sandwich was also a highlight. It had a good amount of tasty slaw, ample chicken, and delicious sauce. It's a standalone building on an island off Stanford Ave. you order at a Syd walk window and your food is brought to you on one of two outside patios; one coveted and one open air. We ordered two orders of wings, teriyaki and lemon pepper, a Hyphy chicken Sando, a crisoy chicken Sando, and their Sideshow double patty cheeseburger, plus garlic fries. Friendly window/counter service while ordering and when it is brought out on metal trays. They also serve a nice variety of craft beer. There was a decent lunch crowd and brisk takeout too. The chicken sandwiches were pounded thin and very nicely fried. The burger was moist and had lots of meaty flavor. Fries were nice and crunchy. I don't really write Yelp reviews, but am hoping that a manager sees this and can advise a course correct. I live in the neighborhood and have been coming since it opened in 2017. Often have raved about it as the best burger in Oakland. It seems like this place is slipping. The past few dine-in visits have been disappointing. I've gotten my burger/fries and both have been lukewarm, like I got them and then drove 15 minutes home. Not like the kitchen was 10 feet away and allegedly made them to order. I don't think asking for piping hot food should be too hard to remedy. Maybe the fries need to be made in smaller batches or something, but there should be a pretty clear fix to this. Maybe their energy and attention is going to their new smash burger location on San Pablo. It seems like this place is heading the way of a lot of initially successful restaurants, but settling at average is tragic when the first 5 years were so stunning. read more

I moved to this area not too long ago and Sideshow has become one of my favorite go-to spots! The staff is friendly and helpful, the food comes out quickly and the portions are generous for the price. Their outside seating area is pretty spacious and the ambiance is really nice with the lights and signs they've set up. So far I've tried the: Good Burger - really classic cheeseburger, toppings are all really fresh and I believe all their burgers and sandwiches come with a side of fries - which are really nicely seasoned and crispy! (5/5) Cheese Fries - really indulgent and delicious, and a huge portion! (5/5) Grilled Chicken Salad - really bright dressing, fresh veggies, and nicely seasoned chicken, and the pickles are a nice touch. a decent salad! (4/5) My housemates also love Sideshow and have raved about the Grilled Salmon Sandwich, the Sideshow burger (double patty), and the Garlic Fries. My only qualm is that they close so early (8pm)! My feedback would be to chill out a little on the fry seasoning. My friend got the garlic fries and they smelled amazing! He was not a fan of the type of lettuce that was used, but he was happy with his burger as well. Currently, there is only outdoor seating, there is a huge TV that had sports on, so if you want an outdoor spot to watch a game and have a burger and a beer, this might fit the bill. There were outdoor heat lamps available and they hooked one up for one party that asked them if they could turn them on. I found this place on yelp when looking for a reasonably priced burger that also looked and sounded good and also had a tv for my friend to watch the world cup and this place was a perfect match. The burger was really good. I could taste the cooked jalapeños with the avocado. And the fries were not bland. The Arnold Palmer needed some more sweetness but overall good too. I really enjoyed the wings, the buffalo sauce was enough and the wings were well cooked and crunchy! The service was really good. They didn't rush me or my wife and they were also detailed oriented. Every time a customer left, they were on it. They made sure to pick up and clean the tables to make sure that they were ready for the next customer that walked in. Love this place! The burgers, fries, drinks, and chicken sandwich are all wonderful. I've eaten in twice and to go once. The food was consistently good quality, hot, ample portion sizes, and is made to order. It takes maybe about a 10 min wait to have your food made but definitely worth the wait. If you are rushing and want your food a little sooner call it in. The first and second time eating in I had the sideshow burger with cheese and fries with that cheese sauce. Both times they were very good however skimpy portion on the fries. A bit disappointed. The next time I ordered from them I ordered a chicken sandwich with regular Fries and got a ton of them... so not really sure how that works. This place is very overpriced for what you get. I spent $40 not including any taxes or fees or anything. The food was NOT worth $40. $18 for Fried chicken sandwich with cheese fries. The chicken sandwich was ok, it was not anything special. There was an overwhelming mustard sauce in the first half of my bites which luckily seemed to subside by the latter half. Chicken sandwiches are my jam, this one I wouldn't order again. The cheese fries that I ordered as a side were good. I liked them. Good sauce and cheese on there. They were the best of the the three items I ordered. $20 for 12 sideshow wings is the only option. I couldn't order half a dozen, only could do 12, so I did. I ate two of them. They looked really good and they tasted ok, again, nothing special. They were supposed to have some kind of jalapeño sauce which I'm not sure I even received.
