The staff is amazing and so friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is just what you'd expect. Our family loves it there and we will be going time and time again! I got the bacon and cheddar skillet and it was so good. One of the best skillets I have had. It is obvious they do not use powered or liquid eggs like they emphasize. Warson woods has been needing a breakfast place like this one! The owner stopped by our table to see how we were doing and she is so nice as well. She even checked us out at the end and was extremely happy we were there. It is wonderful to see an owner who is actually involved with the customers and genuinely concerned about their experience. Amazing staff...always friendly, attentive and happy! The restaurant is always clean and the tables are generally cleaned within minutes of being vacated. The food is always delicious and I saw trays go by with things that look scrumptious. The pancakes never disappoint, and I want to try the wraps and Turkey Club. I don't normally post after one visit. This is the sister restaurant to Golden Pancake in Illinois. We arrived at the end of the breakfast rush and they were still very busy. Since it's a pancake house that's what I ordered. Regular pancakes with nothing added. They were very good. The color was golden and the taste was excellent. My wife had French toast with apple topping that she enjoyed. I stole an apple from her it was tasty. My only complaint, the sausage patties ate quite bland. read more

Just got home from here. The breakfast choices are abundant and it was hard to choose. I had one of their skillet meals, hash browns with meats and mushrooms (it comes with green peppers too but I'm not a fan so I asked for them to be omitted). It also comes with a side of 2 very large pancakes which were really good. The skillet meal was HUGE and delicious. I brought more than half of it home. Bessa is awesome and added to our enjoyment. Had brkfst. yesterday. Got a pancake combo. I always eat eggs over lightly. Thought I would try scrambled since I have never had them. They always look so light and fluffy. I had much the same experience as others whose reviews I read after visiting the Silver Pancake House: nice staff, quick service, and subpar food. The pancakes looked great, but were exceedingly dry, without much taste and, frankly, difficult to chew and swallow without being saturated in syrup--very disappointing from a diner-style breakfast restaurant. Hashbrowns were similarly dry and without much flavor. Over-easy eggs were fine, but, really, can you screw up a fried egg? I understand that this is a family-owned restaurant. I wish the owners well as I like to patronize locally owned businesses, but recommend they Increase their attention to food quality. All around terrible experience. The server spilled hot coffee all over my legs. I left to run home and change; when I came back, they hadn't even cleaned up all of the coffee off of the floor. I understand that mistakes happen, but the management did not take any steps to make it right. Even worse, the food was just sad. What a delightful surprise and right in my own neighborhood! Silver Pancake House has just opened in Warson Woods (9932 Manchester Road, Saint Louis, MO 63122) When we arrived we were enthusiastically greeted by the owner, Bessa, and escorted to our table. We each enjoyed one their most ordered items, the Ham Steak Steak & Eggs. When our meal arrived, the eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the servings were very generous. My husband declared the Blueberry Pancakes delicious and much appreciated that the accompanying syrup was warmed. Bessa kept my coffee cup full and checked on us often. The decor is bright, cheerful, and welcoming. We found the prices to be very reasonable. This restaurant is open 6 days a week 6 AM-2 PM and is closed on Monday. Breakfast and lunch are served from opening to close. I have no doubt that we will return to enjoy more of the Silver Pancake House offerings. The Fresh Wraps looked especially appealing.
