This shopping center has so many boba tea options, I like to do the rounds and try them all. I had the Strawberry lychee green tea with boba, without extra sweetener. By itself the lychee is pretty sweet. I really like the flavor of this and I also like the cups they use here. They are more sturdy than the other places. That may not seem like a big deal, but it's nice to be able to hold a big drink firmly in your hand. It's kind of a weight to starting this ratio. Trust me, I can do the math. Mediocre at best. Definitely wasn't worth the drive from another part of San Jose. I got the oolong milk tea (50% sweet) and it tasted nothing like oolong tea and was really light in color. I almost sent it back because I thought they mistakenly gave me jasmine green milk tea. It's obvious that they put a ton of creamer to make up for their lack of any tea taste. The bf got the mango mango green tea and although there were a few bits of fruit in it, it tasted like straight up syrup even at 25% sweetness. Generic mango syrup taste. Hard pass. I am a huge boba lover and just recently moved to the area and I was totally freaking out because I've seen other Yelp reviews for other boba tea places and they didn't look so good until my fiancé and I tired this place and it was deff a great choice!! Although the customer service was not that great here and it took them 15 minuets to make our drinks it was well worth the wait! You can deff taste the flavor your ordered (most places are extremely bland) and our drinks were really sweet and I must say I was extremely impressed with the generous amount of toppings they scooped in our drinks! The waitress explained the ordering process and told us about the $2 grand opening any boba drink size special! What a steal deal! We ordered 4 drinks: peach green tea with lychee jelly, 1 green milk tea with boba, 1 milk green tea with boba & grass jelly, and 1 black milk tea with grass jelly. Ohhhh emmmmm geeeee!! So freakin yummy. Just with right sweetness. I'm a boba lover and this hits the spot. Def 5 stars! Orders came fast too. Since they're also a restaurant that served food, we ordered: Banh Xeo and chao long. Both are really good. Banh Xeo was Chrunchy, big, loaded with shrimp pork and bean sprouts. Not to mention they do not skimp on fresh veggies & mints. I was in Banh Xeo heaven. Chao long was tasty! They had all the exotic pork intestines. Overall experience was 5 stars. I ordered the special bobo tea drink and it has the fruity pearls that come with it and ice cream, it's a jasmine milk tea drink. Pretty good! I tried the onion rings which have a fair mount of batter on it which I can hardly taste or see the onion inside but it is crispy and tastes alright. We ordered the Green Melon Milk Tea, Green Milk Tea, Roast Oolong Milk Tea, and Taro Milk Tea. The portion size was decent and the drinks were average. Considering that there are at least four other boba places in the same plaza, it's hard to say that I enjoyed the drinks enough to return at their regular price. If you have having a hard time deciding while drink to choose, I would say the Green Melon Milk Tea was my favorite. Their teas were way too sweet. Boba was very smooshy and lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever. I got the peach milk tea (1/5) and my friend got the roasted milk tea (2.5/5). To my dismay, they brought out a peach tea, no milk. Since we waited so long for our drinks, I didn't feel like waiting longer for them to correct my drink, so I went with it. The peach flavor was quite strong, but it tasted like they dumped a gallon of sugar in. There was no tea flavor at all. The roasted milk tea was good, but was also wayyyyy too sweet. The tea flavor was there though, so I recommend getting 50% sugar on this one. Also, note that if you ask for no ice here, they give you less tea. Considering how many great milk tea places there are around this are of San Jose, I probably won't be coming back here any time soon. I've been to several tea places around East San Jose and I got to say this is one my favorites! At first I was skeptical since this was a food chain + tea place so I wasn't so sure the tea would be that great. Although I was pleasantly surprised when the tea came out..the drinks were not too sweet, which is how I like it. I recommend getting 50-75% sweetness if you don't like your tea too sweet. Other than the tea, the customer service is great, the girl at the cashier is super friendly! I asked her to remake my tea and she gladly remade it without any complaints. The only con I would say is that the aloe in my drink tasted like apples for some reason..sounds good but it was way too sweet for my preference. I feel that this place is really underrated and that most people probably come here due to the long lines at other boba places within the same plaza. The drinks here are actually pretty good and so are the boba. Considering this store is a few doors down from cool tea bar and shares the same plaza as Soyful, Tapex or Happy Lemon as well makes it difficult for a store like this to stay in business but I'm surprised with how long it's been holding (since Teabella didn't last long). Love this place! Although i was a bit skeptical and hesitant in the beginning, im definitely taking it all back now. I did not think the drinks here would be as good as they are for some reason. I was so shocked at how refreshing the drink tasted. I remember being completely surprised, thinking it was probably going to be bland, or subpar tops. The second time around, i decided to get the mango mango green tea. My goodness. Absolutely loved it. The mango mango had mango bits that are sweet and fun to chew on. I honestly think simply boba's flavored teas taste better than cool tea bar next door. Here's what we ordered: Jasmine Sea Crema with grass jelly - Pretty good but really sweet. Tasted different than the other sea crema's I've ever had. It tasted kind of like caramel. Roasted Almond Milk Tea with pudding - Damn good! The roasted almond taste was sooooooooo good. The pudding was delicious and went very well with the roasted almond milk tea. Definitely a winner! Taro Milk Tea with pudding - My forever favorite place for Taro Milk Tea! The Taro is freshly made and you can taste the real taro bits in every sip! The pudding is just delicious in any drink and the Taro is no exception! They also have a gigantic size now. Their regular is a large at other places and their large is double the size of their regular size for only 50 cent more! What a steal! I'm literally always grabbing a drink here! I've been here a couple times and their drinks have been consistently good. It's located inside of a bun mam restaurant but no worries, there's plenty of seating and the smell isn't too overwhelming while you are trying to enjoy your boba drink. The interior is modern, sleek and very white. I always order one of the milk foam drinks, either with Earl Grey or Jasmine and the tea flavor is definitely there without being diluted. The foam is also very good and they are able to adjust the sweetness levels for you. There's plenty of other boba places within this plaza as well as in a 5 mile radius but I have to say this one is one of the better ones in the area. read more
