I always get the caeser salad and meatballs to start.. the lasagna is so good, thankfully I was able to take home for the next day! The first time I can a weekend night and service was good! Came again a weekday evening on a slow night and service was not so great. Server was chit chatting mostly with whom I'm assuming was a friend and food took a long time BUT I sat at the bar and saw the cook working and giving every fish he worked in his undivided attention, so I can appreciate that. Visited this place for the first time to celebrate my birthday this past weekend and it was such a wonderful experience. Firstly, since it's all plant-based, I was able to eat literally anything off the menu, which is always delightful. Started the meal with a Tricolore Salad and the Pizza Montanara for appetizers. The Salad was good, best when you can get a bit of every ingredient in each bite. The Pizza Montanara was hotter than magma when we received it, but once it cooled and we were able to tear it into pieces, it was very, very good. These two items themselves would be a great light meal. We had glasses of red wine with the main course, which paired well with the pastas we chose. One Vesuvio, which was really tasty with a little chili heat (not so much so that it made eating it a rough job,) and another pasta dish that I can't recall the name of that was very lemony and cooling. We both shared these dishes and the alternating between the two very different flavor profiles was really fun. The online menu doesn't have these pastas listed in the "Dinner" section, but the in-store menu did. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that they were out of things like meatballs, olives, and a couple other items, but we were still able to choose dishes that were delicious. The restaurant's vibe is very laidback and like, elevated casual, if that makes sense. They have great little water glasses and everything has a modern feel, from the green decor accents to the fancy pasta forks, which are the first of their kind I've ever seen. The bathroom had a bidet, which was my first experience with the same, and it was cool and fun. Thorough! I laughed at the sticker on the bidet saying it WILL spray you in the face. A vegan place on 4th. We tried a couple of salad and their Meat Pizza with white sauce. I LOVED the Caesar Salad and my friends enjoyed their Tri-Salad. The Caesar Salad dressing was rich and creamy and I loved how the romaine lettuce leaves were painted with it. The air fryed capers (or whatever they were) were delish. The croutons very good. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I am not vegetarian or vegan by any means, but some of my good friends are. We came here on their suggestion, and it was fantastic. All the food was delicious, nothing disappointed, but our personal favorites were the Salsiccia pasta and the Truffle pizza. To top it off, the desserts were perfect. Not too sweet, and a great way to end the meal. Our server last night was very friendly, and they accommodate our group of four by re-organizing the tables. Please note, this is a very small restaurant and they do not take reservations for groups of less than 6 people. We happily waited for our turn and had a drink at a bar nearby. Wow! Amazing! We had a party of six and I'm the only vegan but everyone loved everything. The sausage pasta is the best pasta I've ever had. The flavors were divine!! We ordered pizza and all the appetizers. We demolished the meatballs and bread. Restaurant has open kitchen and the chef is very engaging even though he was very busy!! Thank you chef/owner. Went in around 7pm Sunday night and the place was packed! We waited about less than 30 min, and the staff was very friendly. Service was a bit slow but they did have lots of people and a big party outside. The restaurant gave a very family friendly vibe. The employees seemed to get a long great which I think created the comfortable ambiance. The bathroom had a bidet & a mouthwash station! The food was AMAZING. First we had the tricolore salad which was sky high and packed with flavors. It has som pieces of mandarin walnuts and "cheese." Our pizza is what took a minute but was wroth it. So delicious and we ate it so fast. I also had a glass of prosecco. 10/10 and I must come back to try the rest! Our total was 60 before taxes. Not bad for 2 people! read more

I'm not a vegan, but my daughter is...she picked this place for her birthday. Excellent food! Everything is made from scratch. Very friendly staff and cool ambiance. We ordered: Caesar Salads - Very tasty from the dressing to the freshly made croutons. It's filling as well. Pasta -I forgot the name of the pasta (Versutio?) Delicious & super tasty. The pasta has sausage and the sauce has a little kick to it. Margarita Pizza- very authentic Italian, the crust is soo fresh. I believe the owner is the cook.. Of the Italian/fusion restaurants I've tried on 4th Street, this is by far the best. Food was excellent, drink choices are on par with what you should expect with a decent wine list. I enjoyed the olives and pizza especially. Service was a bit slow for the late evening, but the staff were nice and attentive. Small venue, and good for dates or small groups only. Standard paid street parking, unless you're willing to walk 1-2 blocks minimum from a neighborhood parking spot. read more

This 5 star is for the olive oil cake alone. WOW!! The notes of cardamom sing. This is truly the perfect autumnal cake. I want this for my birthday with affogato - it would be a literal match made in heaven. Warm this cake up for 25 seconds if you take it home, it is just divine. The loaf muffin was also amazing. I love savory so this was very much up my alley. Great texture, great aroma. A little dense but that's because it's a loaf still! The cinnamon roll is a very solid cinnamon roll, but it didn't stand out for me as much. But again, I'm a savory gal, so I'm probably not the best judge. I will say the inside has tons of cinnamon! The service was lovely. The gentleman who helped me was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would come back to try their entrees. They have ample seating both inside and outside. So happy to have tried this 100% plant based Italian spot. The service was vibe and super chill. They were out of so items and shared that with us as soon as we were seated. We maily had salads, pizzas, gnocchi and the olive oil cake. Everything was delicious and great proportions for sharing. The pizza is made to order and can take sometime so I recommend ordering your pizza as soon as possible. I also had lemonade, which was SOOOO good, it was super fresh, not overly sweet. The pizza dough is also so good, we had to ask again if everything was plant based, because the flavors were so robust and well balanced. I'm in awe of how delicious every single dish was without a miss. They have a small seating area with both indoor and outdoor options. Also, the restrooms have bidet! (Pretty fancy). First off, the service here is amazing. The waitress came by so often to make sure that we had everything that we needed. There was never even a glass of water that was left dry or halfway. The restaurant itself is really tiny with a very small limited amount of indoor seating. They have a little bit more room outside in the patio, but the problem is on those chilly or rainy or windy night. The patio will become unusable. Now for the food, I recommend that you go family style and each person orders a dish and then split it amongst everybody that is there in order to get the full experience. Everything here is vegan from the meat. It's actually not meat it's made from other things like the shrimp is made from a fruit and it actually taste like shrimp. The sausage too is made from other products, but there is actually no meat product in that sausage our party ordered two pizzas one was sausage. The other one was the fig and order two different pastas, spicy sausage pasta, and the lemon pasta. Everything was delicious. Very tasty personally for me a little on the salty side, but everybody else thought it was perfectly fine. as for starters, we had the cuoppo which tasted like shrimps, but was actually not shrimps and had potato balls in it too along with that we had a Caesar salad which is seasoned right and for dessert definitely take the olive oil cake and the tartlette if they have it read more

Came here from Orange County with two friends for dinner - parking was a challenge on Sundays but it was Independence Day weekend and there were a ton of people out near the beach area to enjoy the weather and sunlight. We waited about 15 minutes to get seated and they gave us water to drink. Friendly waitstaff, super attentive to detail and excellent pricing - our party ordered an olive appetizer that came with bread for dipping, amante della carne (meatlover's) pizza, carciofi salad with artichoke, capers, garbanzos, arugula, tomato). My new favorite place. You wouldn't guess that everything here is Vegan. Scratch made cheeses, meats, pasta and pizza dough wood burning Pizza oven, you can sit at the bar and watch them make your pizzas. Although it does make the restaurant VERY hot!! We got the mushrooms truffle pizza with the white sauce and it was amazingly delicious. This is vegan heaven, you can get all the Italian foods you crave and it tastes legit like real meat and cheese!!! My son's pasta was also very delicious. I can't wait to come back soon. Almost everything was really salty... the caesar salad and the spaghetti were almost hard to eat. I did enjoy the margarita pizza though, but i feel like that's a hard one to mess up. Although I was excited for the food and a bit disappointed, our server was very kind and made sure we were satisfied. This vegan Italian restaurant is doing things exactly right. What I found interesting was that it doesn't say anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant that everything is vegan, unless I just didn't notice. It's a small place, and we were seated outdoors and well attended to. My favorite dish was the Amante Della Carne Pizza. The "meats" held a lot of flavor and the crust was enjoyable. The Gnocchi was a little texturally soft for my taste but I enjoyed the flavors. Aside from being great for vegans, this is also a great spot for people who can't handle dairy so it's nice to know that we have a place where we can now fully enjoy Italian food without any worries. read more

With all the vegan restaurants closing, I was glad to get to try this brand new Vegan Italian Restaurant in Long Beach! It's down the street from Hug Life (delicious vegan ice cream). They have indoor & outdoor seating. I went for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant was busy, so we were happy to get an outside table for 5. We ordered the Tricolor Salad & Olives for appetizers- yum. Both served beautifully too! Then we got 3 pizzas to share. That amount of food was perfect for 5 adults. We had to wait a long while for the Potato Pesto Pizza to come out, so much so that we asked our server if it was still coming since we thought it may have been forgotten (we had finished all of the other food and were still waiting). It eventually made it out to us and was tasty. I'd rank the pizzas as 1. margherita 2. potato pesto 3. four cheese I'd go back! It was super flavorful (especially with the pesto) and the crust was cooked perfectly! Very fresh and puffy but still crispy. Could be a bit more spicy. We also tried a pasta dish, the strozzapreti. The noodles were fresh, the sauce was savory with a bit of spice from chili oil, the sausage and rapini were good additions and it was topped well with Parmesan! This is my favorite restaurant! We brought a larger group this time and everyone loved it. Lucky for us we arrived on the early side because the restaurant was full in no time at all. The staff was able to move some tables for us to accommodate our group. We were offered a choice of inside or outside. Outside is always the preferred option! We repeated some of the dishes from our first visit (tricolore salad, margherita & patate e pesto pizzas). Tonight, we added the olives for a starter and an extra pizza, the quattro formaggi. I was able to sample the two red wines and chose the 2022 Donnachiara. We also ordered the Scarpetta Brut Rose. We knew that the olives came with bread, but it would have been helpful to know that it only came with two slices. If we had been informed about that we would have ordered more bread. The number of times I've tried to come here for dinner is insane, but something always happened (like a pipe bursting on their street) or they were closed (Tuesday evenings). Alas, I finally was able to try their pizzas and pastas (since they're only served during dinner). The ambiance of this place is nice and the Halloween decorations were cute. Unfortunately on the food side, besides the Pesto & Potato pizza, everything was pretty disappointing and not very flavorful. Plus, add high prices for small serving size sizes, made this a place I would not return to again. The worst part was I mentioned it was a birthday dinner, but we somehow received bad service (no water refills/checks-ins on the table, etc.) and slow service generally even though they were not very busy. It was a pretty disappointing dinner experience for a place I really wanted to love. We normally always get dessert too, but we just skipped it since we wanted to get out of there. There were several open tables, but I guess they only seat how many people the kitchen can cover at a given time. Which is understandable. We understand it would take 40 minutes to have our pizza ready but we waited for over an hour. When the pizza (we ordered prosciutto with arugula) finally came, it wasn't worth the wait at all. It was a BIG disappointment.The crust wasn't bubbly as expected of a Neapolitan pizza and the prosciutto looked like pressed meat. It had a porky taste. Ugh. We also ordered lasagna which was just ok. That, we didn't have to wait long. Service was poor. The server was cold, unfriendly and unpleasant. She didn't even check back with us if everything was ok after we got our food, which I believe is customary. She was passing by our table a number of times and ignoring us. Finally, I got her attention and asked how much longer and responded it should be ready soon. But not really. Still, we waited for about 7 minutes. She didn't take it upon herself to let us know that there's a wait and she was unapologetic for the long wait. Sad to say, we didn't have a pleasant dining experience. Cute little cozy Italian restaurant two blocks away from where I live. As a matter of fact, I didn't know it existed until I googled Italian restaurants in my area. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Started off with the hot olive tapenade which I've never had before (mini cast iron pan served hot with roasted garlic and olive oil served with two slices of toasted sourdough bread). Very good but it would have been better had the olives been pitted but probably more flavor cooked with the pitts. My bestie ordered the spaghettini which was just a small bowl of gourmet spaghetti which he loved. I ordered the Margherita pizza and that was very flavorful. For dessert we had the Blueberry compote with vanilla bean ice cream and pound cake with crumbles. Very tasty and the textures and flavors compliment each other nicely. Cannot forget the wine!
