    Tricolor salad

So happy to have tried this 100% plant based Italian spot. The service was vibe and super chill. They were out of so items and shared that with us as soon as we were seated. We maily had salads, pizzas, gnocchi and the olive oil cake. Everything was delicious and great proportions for sharing. The pizza is made to order and can take sometime so I recommend ordering your pizza as soon as possible. I also had lemonade, which was SOOOO good, it was super fresh, not overly sweet. The pizza dough is also so good, we had to ask again if everything was plant based, because the flavors were so robust and well balanced. I'm in awe of how delicious every single dish was without a miss. They have a small seating area with both indoor and outdoor options. Also, the restrooms have bidet! (Pretty fancy). No disappointments here. The prices reflect the quality, so not an daily spot to visit. But we'll worth it.

A vegan place on 4th. We tried a couple of salad and their Meat Pizza with white sauce. I LOVED the Caesar Salad and my friends enjoyed their Tri-Salad. The Caesar Salad dressing was rich and creamy and I loved how the romaine lettuce leaves were painted with it. The air fryed capers (or whatever they were) were delish. The croutons very good. I think an appetizer with some homemade bread and hummus would be awesome. The meat carne pizza had a great crust but the toppings too light for me. Service mixed. Friendly. But please don't bring one salad out at a time. Makes it weird for a party of 4.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I am not vegetarian or vegan by any means, but some of my good friends are. We came here on their suggestion, and it was fantastic. All the food was delicious, nothing disappointed, but our personal favorites were the Salsiccia pasta and the Truffle pizza. To top it off, the desserts were perfect. Not too sweet, and a great way to end the meal. Our server last night was very friendly, and they accommodate our group of four by re-organizing the tables. Please note, this is a very small restaurant and they do not take reservations for groups of less than 6 people. We happily waited for our turn and had a drink at a bar nearby. We will definitely come back!

The owner was so kind and generous! I loved the ambience, the drinks, the food, and the service was outstanding. Definitely going to be returning. What a LB gem.

Went in around 7pm Sunday night and the place was packed! We waited about less than 30 min, and the staff was very friendly. Service was a bit slow but they did have lots of people and a big party outside. The restaurant gave a very family friendly vibe. The employees seemed to get a long great which I think created the comfortable ambiance. The bathroom had a bidet & a mouthwash station! The food was AMAZING. First we had the tricolore salad which was sky high and packed with flavors. It has som pieces of mandarin walnuts and "cheese." Our pizza is what took a minute but was wroth it. So delicious and we ate it so fast. I also had a glass of prosecco. 10/10 and I must come back to try the rest! Our total was 60 before taxes. Not bad for 2 people!

Amazing ambiance, food, and service! The owner and servers here are always so kind and welcoming every time we are here. I recently tried their brunch too and was blown away! I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Love this place! Whenever I'm in LB i make it a point to come. My go-tos: Lunch: "meatball" sandwich Dinner: gnocchi and pizza Coffee: Marzipan and lemon are both delicious Pastries are also yummy, lemon is my fave The team is so sweet and knowledgeable. I come here just to eat or take meetings as well!

    Prosciutto with arugula.

We understand it would take 40 minutes to have our pizza ready but we waited for over an hour. When the pizza (we ordered prosciutto with arugula) finally came, it wasn't worth the wait at all. It was a BIG disappointment. The crust wasn't bubbly as expected of a Neapolitan pizza and the prosciutto looked like pressed meat. It had a porky taste. Ugh. We also ordered lasagna which was just ok. That, we didn't have to wait long. Service was poor. The server was cold, unfriendly and unpleasant. She didn't even check back with us if everything was ok after we got our food, which I believe is customary. She was passing by our table a number of times and ignoring us. Finally, I got her attention and asked how much longer and responded it should be ready soon. But not really. Still, we waited for about 7 minutes. She didn't take it upon herself to let us know that there's a wait and she was unapologetic for the long wait. Sad to say, we didn't have a pleasant dining experience. I do love to go to local restaurants and support their business. But Mangiafoglie doesn't deserve our business.

First time @mangiafoglie it's so yummy also vegan . I had a vanilla latte it was delicious l couldn't tell that it was actually vegan. The service is great has a cool vibe. The decor is has a home vibe to enjoy and to possibly do some work...

This 5 star is for the olive oil cake alone. WOW!! The notes of cardamom sing. This is truly the perfect autumnal cake. I want this for my birthday with affogato - it would be a literal match made in heaven. Warm this cake up for 25 seconds if you take it home, it is just divine. The loaf muffin was also amazing. I love savory so this was very much up my alley. Great texture, great aroma. A little dense but that's because it's a loaf still! The cinnamon roll is a very solid cinnamon roll, but it didn't stand out for me as much. But again, I'm a savory gal, so I'm probably not the best judge. I will say the inside has tons of cinnamon! The service was lovely. The gentleman who helped me was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would come back to try their entrees. They have ample seating both inside and outside. Parking could be a little tough, but it's worth it! Definitely support this local business. You won't regret it!!

My new favorite place. You wouldn't guess that everything here is Vegan. Scratch made cheeses, meats, pasta and pizza dough wood burning Pizza oven, you can sit at the bar and watch them make your pizzas. Although it does make the restaurant VERY hot!! We got the mushrooms truffle pizza with the white sauce and it was amazingly delicious. This is vegan heaven, you can get all the Italian foods you crave and it tastes legit like real meat and cheese!!! My son's pasta was also very delicious. I can't wait to come back soon. They do not take reservations and it seems like there is always a wait. Plus hard to find parking in the area, but it is all worth it.

Thunderbolt Pizza in Long Beach has become my go-to pizzeria. After trying a wide range of their…read moremenu, two dishes stand out above the rest: the Pizza Margherita and the Garlic Knots. Pizza Margherita - 5/5. This is a perfect example of the care and craft that go into their food. The crust strikes a rare balance - it has that signature leopard-spotted char and slight floppiness you'd expect from a Neapolitan-style pizza, but also delivers the chewiness and airy structure of a great New York-style slice. It never tips too far into being overly crispy or dry. What really sets it apart, though, is the sauce. While many pizzerias treat sauce as an afterthought, Thunderbolt clearly does not. Their tomato sauce is rich, vibrant, and juicy, with a depth of flavor that avoids being overly acidic, salty, or tannic. It enhances the pizza beautifully without overshadowing the dough, which is exactly how it should be. Garlic Knots - 5/5. - Easily some of the best I've had anywhere in LA. These are essentially bread rolls with a super chewy interior and a thin, lightly crusty exterior, served alongside their excellent marinara sauce. They're incredibly satisfying and consistently a crowd favorite. I've brought visitors from Japan, Germany, and New York, and every single one of them couldn't stop talking about these knots. My only small critique is that I wish they had used fresh garlic instead of canned, which would have taken them to an even higher level. Still, even as they are, they're outstanding. Overall, Thunderbolt Pizza delivers thoughtful, high-quality food that stands out in a crowded pizza scene. It's the kind of place you keep coming back to--not just because it's good, but because it's consistently memorable.

We ordered a half and half pizza online for pickup and spent over $30 for pizza and a 4oz container of ranch. They told us it would be about 20min when we ordered so we got ready and left. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. We could hear someone say "the order for Kymmy didn't leave they are here" or something along those lines. We kind of just looked at each other. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. We took it back to our hotel and we were so excited it smelled so amazing and it looked so good. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were when we took our first few bites. It was not that great. We had ordered pepperoni and the veggie pizza. We ate half of it because we were starving and very quickly regretted it. It made both of us super sick on top of everything else Needless to say we won't be back here and won't be recommending this place either

The tomato sauce wasn't my favorite as it was a bit on the watery side, but honestly the stromboli had more than enough flavor to make up for it. The location itself is pretty small, but it seems like a solid spot for a quick and easy pickup.

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.
