Trying Suncerely Syria for the first time because that 12" wrap looked too good to pass up -- and it absolutely delivered. The beef-lamb combo is fragrant, juicy, smoky, and incredibly tender. While the wrap leans toward the pricier side, the portion is substantial and packed mostly with protein, so it feels worth it. The sauce ties everything together beautifully -- creamy, garlicky, tangy, with just a slight bitter finish that rounds out the flavor profile and keeps it balanced rather than heavy. Next time, I'm going for the plate. The portion looks even more generous, and it's actually a better value since fries are included. Always a good sign when you're already planning your next order.

The absolute best! Seriously it never disappoints! I got the 24" shawarma plate and ate half for dinner and saved the rest for lunch. If you want authentic shawarma this right here is 10000/10. The employees are so kind and hospitable...truly some of the kindest people I've ever come across. Making the food even more good. Can't wait to come back for more deliciousness!!

I'd seen Sincerely Syria across the street from the parking lot on the corner of Fair Oaks and Green, and wanted to try it. I ordered the 12" beef plate which came with cut pieces of beef shawarma wrap, French fries, pickles and tahini. The French fries were very hot and crispy with a nice color and very good potato flavor. The beef wrap was pretty good but pretty oily. In fact the oil was dripping out of the wrap to the point where it was a bit unappetizing for me. Others might find it to be "juicy" but to me it was just oily. The beef tasted a little gamey, but not in an unpleasant way like the oiliness. Perhaps, I'd do much better with a chicken wrap the next time I'm there. However, Father Nature Lavash wraps is just a block away and they have excellent chicken shawarma wraps. That is why I opted to try the beef at Sincerely Syria.

Recently tried Sincerely Syria in Old Town Pasadena with my parents--and it exceeded expectations. I grew up in Syria and have spent 20+ years in the U.S., and I've been chasing that authentic chicken shawarma ever since. Most places don't quite get it right. This one does. If you're used to the Americanized version, it may taste a little different--but this is what real Syrian shawarma tastes like: well-balanced, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The ambiance is simple and unfussy, but it adds to the charm--Arabic music playing on the TV, a cozy booth setup, and warm wood tones that give it a casual, homey feel. My parents struck up a conversation in Arabic with the owner, which led to such a warm, generous moment--he offered us drinks and a beef shawarma on the house. I didn't try the beef, but they loved it. Portions are generous (easily shareable), and every bite was on point. Between the food and the genuine Syrian hospitality, this place stands out. Will absolutely be back.

No frills, no nonsense, just some incredible chicken (I'm sure the beef is great too). I had the chicken wrap, which is one of practically only two menu items. Prices are very reasonable for how much meat you get. There's really not much else to say other than you need to try this place if you are a shawarma fan. I'll be back very soon!

Great service, I never write reviews and just walked out the shop but I'm so surprised and happy with the service that I need to tell you guys about this. I walked in an hour before closing, it's my first time inside. I wanted to order for pick up but all the apps weren't showing the lamb/beef wrap so I decided to go in store. Once I'm there it's one guy working and running the whole show, I can see from a distance that he has a lot of orders so he was pretty busy. When he had a chance to take my order he lets me know that they only have chicken. I'm bummed out but still get my chicken wrap because it's still great food, little did I know he went into the back and cooked me up some lamb/beef meant for tomorrow's service. I was shocked but so happy and grateful for the surprise. I was pretty sad when I walked in so the compassion and dedication the guy showed me in a moment when I clearly wasn't doing well meant a lot. He even hooked me up with the side sauces. Definitely coming back and supporting this small neighborhood business!! read more

My coworker and I came in here and we were both pretty disappointed. First, the person taking our order was on a phone call the whole time and he didn't seem neither friendly nor appreciative of our patronage. Not very inspiring customer service. Also not a very good first impression for a new customer. For the food, I got the beef wrap and he got the chicken wrap. I've had quite a number of wraps / gyros from California to Greece. For my beef wrap, the onions overpowered the taste of the meat which was very soft but it did have a gamey aftertaste -- perhaps from the lamb fat that they use apparently. I question the quality of the cuts of meat for the beef wrap. The tortilla was interesting. I am used to either pita or lavash. It threw me off and also had an overly oily taste and feel from toasting both sides. The accompanying sauce had a definite tahini flavor with a sharp bite of lemon. It was pretty good. For $16 for a beef wrap, I was expecting a lot more. I believe this will be a one and done for me. read more

We ordered the beef shawarma, unfortunately I am not a big fan of lamb but my dad LOVED IT. It was freshly made. The service was very friendly and the guy that helped us was nice. The inside was clean but the decor can be touched up a bit. They have just opened and I will definitely try them again for chicken. Also I LOVED the fact that they used a very thin lavash bread compared to pita. read more

This is Shawerma! There are so many places in and around Los Angeles that proclaim to serve "shawerma" but what they have is some kind of a beef wrap with a bunch of vegetables to make it look big. Sincerely Syria serves pure, unadulterated Shawerma. read more

Absolutely dumped by Sincerely Syria! I ordered the party platter a day ahead and confirmed at 1:00 today. The delivery was for 4;30-I had guests arriving at 5 o'clock. I received an email with no further explanation at 4:10 that my order was canceled. There was no follow up. There was no apology. I had to scramble and I did find another restaurant that could take care of me in time. I will never recommend Sincerely Syria. read more

OMG. The beef shawarma was insane. He makes the wrap bread crispy. And it felt like a light meal. Easily the best shawarma I've ever had, anywhere! After hearing so many great things about their food, I decided to check it out for myself, and I'm glad I did--10/10, I highly recommend this place. I tried both the beef and chicken shawarma, and they were excellent. If you're in the mood for shawarma, this spot is a must-try! The flavors are authentic and rich. The only downside is that there's no dedicated parking, and finding street parking can be a challenge. However, there are plenty of parking structures nearby! read more

The food is good. Perhaps not the freshest always. The few times I went there it was almost empty so the service was quick. I think if they make the place more presentable they will get more hungry customers. But it's behind a buss stop and you are likely to see some homeless at the stop right in front of their door. So the overall ambiance isn't that good. Probably best to get takeout. read more

Amazing and simple. I've been wanting Syrian shawarma for so long since moving from New Jersey but was having a tough time finding a good place in California. I live in San Diego so I hope they expand down there one day! Menu is straight forward and place is no frills and clean. They put together our order so fast and It was hot and fresh. I apologize in advance, but this was awful I walked in and immediately felt out of place. I wasn't welcomed, wasn't asked what I wanted to order, oh brother man. It just was not a good start. I ordered the beef/lamb shawarma and it did not impress. The meat was in the same realm as those Jack Links beef jerky packs. The fries were soggy, but did have an alright seasoning on them... The amount of food was so little that I needed a microscope to see it. The food was far from sincere...Though I must say the worst part was that it was $18! My friend and I came here a few weeks ago. Some of the best shawarma I have had. The two people working there were also very kind. We dined in and didn't order fries but they gave us some anyways which we loved! I would certainly order the fries the next time I go. The garlic mayo spread with the spicy hot sauce/spread in the center was incredible. This will be my go to spot for late night shawarma going forward. read more

Service was efficient but no friendly and welcoming vibe. I lowkey felt like Seinfeld Soup Nazi. Like I just politely ordered and moved on. I didn't want to ask too many questions afraid I would get "No shawarma for you."
