The buffet is good--they always have something spicy and something tame, but is a little cold--as most buffets are. I do enjoy the buffet because you can try something new. Incredibly bad service, and really no good reason for it. They were quite busy with carryout, but hardly any diners. Yet we still waited and waited for our food, and then when it finally came (not both dishes at the same time for some reason), it was only so-so, and when we finished, it took over 20 minutes for them to come and give us our check, although we were obviously waiting for it. I have eaten here several times and the food has always been decent but this time I was rather disappointed. I ordered the kang green curry chicken. The curry sauce was soupy, the green peas were missing, there was an excessive amount of hot peppers, and the basil was whole stalks instead of leaves. I love this place. We've been going for many years. On our latest visit tonight the food was still the same consistent quality. I can't comment on whether or not this is "authentic" Thai food (I suspect it probably is Americanized) but that is not necessarily a bad thing. They do all the typical Thai staple dishes very well and pretty fast. My only minor complaint was that on our visit tonight we had a server who was very efficient but lacked personal warmth and never thought to take our drink orders. It actually saved us money, but it was a bit odd. Most restaurants push the booze these days. He didn't ask us if we enjoyed our meal or if there was anything else he could get us either. I know that is minor, but it was odd. I will definitely still be going back and I recommend this place. read more

We ate at Singha today and tried the lunch buffet. Really don't waste the money. I'm just so disappointed that the owner would put this food out for the public. Half of the buffet is not even Thai food and some of the items seemed like they could have been left over and warmed from last Friday's lunch buffet. The first time, I went here years ago, I was taken but a friend who is native Thai (he's since moved back to Bankok) but he would be so disappointed if he ever returned. This place has gone way downhill since we first started coming here. Tonight, there was only one waitress. My dinner came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's did. All over amazing. Everything I've had has been delicious here. They have the best pud thai I've ever had. The crab puffs are a must along with the squid appetizer. Make sure you don't forget about dessert as the fried wontons are a perfect way to end your meal. You get huge portions of everything-- it usually lasts me 2 + meals. Everything tastes so fresh and they will make each dish to your level of desired spice. You can also put your own spice on with their delicious Thai chili sauce. Really went to try the buffet. However most dishes had mushrooms. I have a food allergy to mushrooms so I ordered off the menu. Had the massaman chicken. Curry cause was very watery. Chicken was ok. We went there at lunch time on a Friday. It wasnt too busy and they had their lunch buffet but I didn't check it out. We ordered pad thai, bbq pork stir fry, and chicken curry. The food came out pretty quick. I enjoyed the pad thai. It's hard to find a decent place with it. I didn't like the bbq pork stir fry as much. I couldn't taste the flavor. I tasted more spice instead. I did ask for medium level but that shouldn't make a difference. But overall it was a good experience. read more

Went there for the first time invited to a birthday party. The food was served promptly and our choices were quite tasty, never having been to a Thai restaurant before. Very good! I ate here with my boyfriend, who really appreciates the portion sizes. The pineapple fried rice is delicious, and we really enjoyed the spring rolls. The staff is very friendly and attentive - our water glasses were always full. The coconut bubble tea is the highlight of going there - absolutely delicious! We'd ordered a carry out. I'm native thai and my husband is american. I had my husband called because I'm busy and we ordered thai fried rice and Yen Ta Fo (thai noodle with pink base soup). Since I know Yen Ta Fo from my whole life, I never had rice vermicilli noodle in the Yen Ta Fo soup before. In Thailand we use thin rice noodle or wide rice noodle. I'm really surprised when I open it up at home. I've ordered this soup from them before and got the wide rice noodle which is good but this time they would have think the person who called won't know if they can trick and change to other noodle! This restaurant is disgusting and ridiculous. I ordered a shrimp and chicken dish- they smelled atrocious and my family felt sick after eating it. When I called the restaurant to complain they were so unhelpful. The manager was conveniently not there, and the person I spoke with said "if you're getting sick go to the hospital and get a lawyer." They also told to me bring the food back so they could inspect it. The food was gross, the employees were unhelpful and the lady. I spoke with was rude. I refuse to ever go back to this restaurant. No Thai restaurant in Milwaukee can touch Singha Thai's Pad Thai - it is outstanding! The menu is voluminous. The oyster beef and any of the curry dishes are some of my favorites. But I usually order the Pad Thai because nobody does it better. If you have room for dessert, may I suggest the sweet sticky rice. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY! Worst service ever!!! I ordered the Tuna Teriyaki and my tuna came out like rubber. Like they threw that piece of fish in the dryer for 30 minutes and then put it back on my plate. I could not even chew on it and the sauce was way way too sweet. I'm usually a very happy eater and don't complain much but this was just ridiculous. And when I wanted to send it back to the chef, they told me that since I already had a few bites of it, I would have to pay anyways. They didn't even apologize for giving me bad service and bad food. The pud kee mao keeps me coming back to this restaurant. Thick rice noodles with a sweet and spicy sauce with beef or tofu. Yum! The chicken tends to be dry and I wouldn't recommend it. Other good dishes are the kang green curry, peapod baby corn, and karee curry. Some dishes I have tried are not as good: nana noodle, royal chicken, and casserole noodles. Service is hit or miss, and some of the tables are a little close together. Overall a good thai restaurant (if you know what to order). read more

Ordered take out. The Garlic Salmon and vegetable dish was terrible. The salmon was dried out and the asparagus was tough and woody tasting. When I returned the take out dish, I experienced terrible customer service. Instead of apologizing, the irritated worker at the cash register shoved the cash toward me and became defensive stating that salmon cooked with garlic is supposed to be dry. Chinese food in a Thai restaurant cooked by a Hispanic cook. I should say that I went for lunch to meet a friend. We decided to have the buffet, so we could sample as many dishes as possible. I should also say that my wife is Thai, so I both know and cook Thai food. On their small buffet, only one of the dishes was Thai, and that was the bland, thin red curry beef. The other items were beef lo mein, kung pao chicken, egg rolls, egg foo yung, fried chicken wings and fried strips of chicken (for sweet and sour chicken?) I've had much better Chinese food at South Ridge mall. Everything was blah, no spiciness at all. Even the mae ploy sauce (a Thai sweet and spicy sauce) at the end of the buffet in a squeeze bottle was thin and runny, like they had thinned it down with water. The kung pao chicken was more of a stew, lots of liquid, water chestnuts, snow peas and a few peanuts. I met the Hispanic cook, the only one I saw, next to the bathroom talking on his cell phone. Clearly he didn't know either Chinese or Thai cooking. Even the Thai iced coffee we got was loaded with cream and barely tasted like coffee. Not sure if the food off of the extensive menu is any good, but if the buffet is any indication, I won't be going back. read more

Singha is a huge lunch favorite in our office. The buffet is a great option. It's not huge, but the dishes they put out change each day and are really good. The menu is enormous with lots of options. Each serving is really large, basically a family style serving. Everything I've had there has been really flavorful. I especially like the Singha Chicken. Great option in this area. read more
