This was my first time back in years. Wing Kee is our go to spot for bbq but they were on vacation. We came here as our backup. Got the cha siu (dry and too lean) and the roast pig (decent). It was pretty empty inside on a Saturday afternoon which was sad to see. I remember when our family friend was a cook here and we'd dine in and it was booked/busy.

    BBQ Pork.

Pick up my BBQ Pork, whoever slice or cut this should put down the knife. I asked if they can cut it thin because the pork is too lean. They Pack it so quick without showing it to me. It's dry and rubbery . Very disappointed.

Sinh Sinh is the OG Vietnamese spot. Growing up, my mom would always grab food to-go from here. It's not the best Vietnamese food, but it does satisfy. Also, they open til 2am. On Friday and Saturdays, til 3am! Love that! Service is good, and the food always comes out fast. The place is a bit dated, but that's what keeps its nostalgic charm. We ordered the imperial egg rolls, garlic string beans, bò lúc lác, drunken noodles, and bánh bột chiên. Everything tasted yummy, especially the bò lúc lác. The imperial egg rolls are so addicting. You always have to order the garlic string beans, it's a staple. Have you ever seen this place during lunch on a Sunday? It's packed! Many Vietnamese families eat here on Sundays. You should see the line for roasted duck, roasted pork, steamed chicken, and BBQ pork during holidays. My mom would be in that line! I would always look forward to her coming home from Sinh Sinh.

Steak Tips With French Fried Rice

Amazing steak tips and french fried rice! If you ever need great food late at night and don't feel like cooking or eating fast food I highly recommend Sinh Sinh and they steak tips & french fried rice! They're great at normal hours too but in Houston where many restaurants close surprisingly early this spot is a blessing for late night eats or when you get back late at night from a trip! Service great, they're quick, nice and attentive. The restaurant is lit well and clean from what I've seen all the times I've been there.

I usually go here with my family for their seafood dinners which are quite pricey but worth it for special occasions! Their lobster, scallops and crab are really fresh and seasoned super well. They had calamari and walnut shrimp with it too which I love. The workers are nice and will switch your plates for new ones if you are eating seafood since your plate will get full fast.

The food is good. But the service is not that great. The people are not that friendly and not attentive to the customer. But if you are just basically wants food that is good this is one of those places. The marinated duck is very good and very juicy. The squid in black bean sauce is also good and the beef with scallions as well abd yhe fish maw soup with crab meat is awesome.

Our work ordered a bunch of food from here for a lunch meeting. A lot of food stayed warm so no need to reheat. Everything was amazing except for the eggrolls, but that might just be my personal preference. I'm not a big fan of this style of eggrolls. I really enjoyed the pork ribs and beef flat noodles.

Located in the same bustling plaza as H-Mart, Sinh Sinh offers a casual Chinese dining experience with plenty of parking nearby. If you're craving a late-night meal, this spot is a reliable option (compared to Tan Tan) now that FuFu closes earlier. General Tso's Chicken: Decent but unremarkable. While it hits the usual sweet-and-crispy notes, it doesn't stand out. Chinese Broccoli in Oyster Sauce: A great veggie dish. The broccoli ism sautéed, and the oyster sauce pooled at the bottom lets you control the intensity--ideal for those who like a balance of flavor. Seafood Noodle Soup: Simple yet comforting. The clear broth and fresh seafood make this a light, easy-to-digest option for late-night cravings.

Four stars because they're open till 2 in the morning. I had the beef stew which was not so much a stew that most of us are familiar with. More like a beef noodle soup. I wish it had a few more chunks of beef and a lot more vegetables. There was a lot of beef tendon which is great for getting that savory flavor as well as providing collagen. I like that they were able to substitute rice noodles instead of wheat noodles. The servers were busy because of the late night crowd but it was still good.

Been dining at sinh sinh for so long that it's become the designated spot for birthday dinners, grad dinners, and other events. It's a great place to go for large parties as they have family style dishes and lots of dining space. We like to get the salted fish and shrimp fried rice, egg rolls (SO CRISPY), fried squid, and sizzling beef. This time, we tried the roasted duck, and it was delicious. The buns were soft, pillowy, sweet, and the duck was tender. Combining everything together - the bun, duck, green onions, and sweet sauce created the best lil sandwich. The fried rice always slaps, just make sure to eat it with the hot peppers on the side. It makes it taste even better!! Service is usually just straightforward. They come to the table to get your order, bring the food, refill waters, and hand the check. FYI, 18% gratuity automatically applied for parties over 4 I believe. Ample parking!

Welcoming attentive staff offering a classy dining lounge for families and friends. It's definitely worth the effort and your taste buds will be happy. A true Authentic cuisine. We enjoyed wontons, veggie egg rolls as the appetizer to start with hot tea. The fried Prawns, roasted duck, and shrimp fried rice was delicious! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Asian food.

Amongst the many Vietnamese-Chinese places throughout Bellaire Chinatown, few have amassed a reputation as Sinh Sinh. Their share of the local fanfare has been a big part of their longevity, as they have become a perpetual late night destination and a reliable option for Asian comfort food and fresh seafood. Sinh Sinh is the Viet-Sino term for 星星 or "Star Star" (#1) The food hardly has any star quality to it but it's still one of the better options when nothing else is open. Their popularity has made them synonymous with the Bellaire Chinatown dining scene. Over the years they have expanded their dining area as well as their menu, effectively catering to everyone and everything. One can bring a large group or come solo, they have plenty of room. Parking is also easy, which has not been the case for many places in the neighborhood. A lot of Cantonese items are available here, but none of them are particularly spectacular. Beef chow fun and scrambled egg with shrimp are easy go-to's for me, and I think their seafood is one of the underrated aspects of their menu. They also have a number of Cantonese roast meats but none have really stood out. The ladder also applies to their wonton noodle and many of their fried rice combinations. It's worth noting that the more intoxicated one is, the better all this food will taste. (#2) Service is just okay. Vietnamese, Cantonese and Mandarin are all spoken by the staff. They take credit cards and have a dedicated parking lot. They are the busiest on the weekends, but the late nights are usually the best for people watching and for satiating the late night appetite. ___________ (#1) "Sing Sing" for all the Canto heads. (#2) Just sayin.

Four Person Family Dinner (Fish Raw And Crab Meat Soup, Peking Duck, Walnut Chicken, Seasonal Vegetable with Garlic)

Visited from out of state and I really liked this restaurant. I recommend coming here with a bigger group of people since it would be of better value. I wouldn't come here with just one or two other people. I came here with my family so six people in total. We got the 4-Person Family Dinner and it was good variety and great value. We also got an order of ribs. This was the perfect amount of food for all of us to be full without leftovers. All the food was good and hit the spot, but it was nothing super out of the ordinary. My favorites were the Peking Duck and the Seasonal Vegetables.

Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. My friend Aurora wanted to meet Donna early dinner and gossip session and she really liked this place. (We tried having a team lunch at the Rice Village location during the cold front last Oct but they had no heat so we opted for a warmer place but she grabbed a to go on the way home) Here we are for a late lunch 3:45 pm on a Friday. Parking was none had to drive around the block and saw some movement and bam, someone was leaving. We ordered at the bar, staff was super nice and opted to sit outside. Did not realize they deliver to the table. Order: Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and egg roll $14.99 The food comes in takeaway style containers. Win. Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. I see why it's popular among the people but just don't think it is for my taste.

There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
