My bf and I got the ube bibingka donut with the regular bibingka with a DIY Shelly cupcake and calamansi tart. For drinks we had a Milo crunch latte and buko pandan latte. All were really good, we can pass on the Shelly cupcake. All others were so good and worth the purchase if you're in the area especially the donuts! The entire store had beautiful Filipino-inspired details from the wall decor, lights, chairs, and even trash! You can tell so much thought was put into the details and design while still being minimal and gorgeous to look at! The people who provided us with service were all so sweet even if people started piling in, everything came out and was ready within 5 minutes. This is my second time trying Sinta and I'm happy to say that they have exceeded my expectations. The first time I went when they first opened, I got a regular vanilla matcha latte with oat milk and it was good, but could be a little stronger. They do use Monin syrups for some of their basic drinks and I wish they would make their syrups in house :/ This time around I got the Buko Pandan Latte with oat milk and it was so delicious. Comparing it to other buko pandan lattes, I would say this is my favorite so far! I got the bibingka donut both times and OMG so good. I wish they warmed it up the second time but it was still so yummy. My girlfriend got the Milo Crunch Latte with oat milk and it was good but could use more milo. I found this place on Instagram and saw it was in my parent's neighborhood. So after a nice morning walk, we headed over at opening to get the Bibingka and Ube donuts. There was surprisingly no line and 2 other groups sitting at tables. They used to have a 2 per person rule but I guess they got rid of it, so we ordered a 6 pack (2 Ube and 4 Bibingka). The Ube was my favorite as it came with a coconut smear on the side. I used it for both donuts. Both very flavorful and worth the price. As the only specialty Filipino bakery/cafe, it makes sense! I wish I could give this place 10 stars if I could. Such a cute coffee and pastry shop with so much creativity when it comes to traditional Filipino desserts. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and there was a full variety of desserts - I got the bibingka donut (gf) and I'm eyeing the napoleon for next time. Everyone on staff was kind and I enjoyed sitting at the table shortly after I got my order. The cafe feels spacious and intentional, not to mention very clean. They need to hire another person because the 2 people in the front won't even look back while making drinks. I understand they're busy but if there's a line out the door, one person can keep making the drinks and the other can take orders. While I was standing there, I knew they knew I was there but they didn't acknowledge me. The baked goods were okay. Super cute new bake shop cafe in the Escaya area of Chula Vista. Love all the Filipino touches on all their decor. Really takes you back to the Philippines with the ornate designs. We came in and tried pretty much everything in their display and a few that came out as we were ordering. I have to say their cupcake bases are so moist and spongey and not too sweet, and beautifully decorated! Calamansi Tart had a distinct Calamansi flavor tamped down by cream. The Bibinka donuts were dense but kind of mochi-like. Loved the fruit puff pastry and the custard pastry shaped like a shell. The Pandan cupcake was so moist and easy to put away. Ube tart was good and similar to the Calamansi one, just not citrusy. I can't stop coming to this place. The Bibingka donut got me hooked. They capture the flavor of filipinos miryenda (snack in between meal) flavor. Their gourmet hot and cold beverages are great as well. You can tell that they put a lot of effort in making it. Although the place is small with limited tables, it is clean and very welcoming. Sinta is such a vibe! The lovely decor pays great homage to Filipino culture and the furniture (seeing it all over social media) was enough for me to stop by. The Milo Crunch Iced Latte was enough to get me to want to return. It was still soft opening when I visited here last weekday morning and pretty busy. It's situated among other businesses in the midst of a residential area. My sister and I both ordered the same drink and thought it was nicely flavored, not too sweet, and strong. I got here around 9:30 am Saturday parking and was able to get a parking spot right in front because I arrived as someone was leaving. The line was long, but it got even longer after I left, but the wait was as expected and once I ordered I didn't have to wait too long for my items. I ordered a 2 mini ube cupcakes, 2 mini mahal Lahaina cupcakes, 2 mini pavlovas, 2 mini ube leche flan cupcakes, and 1 napoleon for a small family party. I also picked up a Mrs. Nguyen latte and a Milo Crunch latte. My family devoured these. They were the right portion size for everyone and my very judgmental mom and auntie said, "it's not too sweet," and "oh, that's real ube flavor, not just food coloring." The wait was about 15/20 minutes , and there was still enough seating areas when we ordered . I have come here twice in the last month, and I seriously can't get enough!! I have been wanting to try this place since they open, I believe they opened really recently. I don't live close by ( 30 minutes lol ) but honestly, it was so worth the drive!! the space is beautiful, and there is seating, but it was always full when I went. I got the drinks, the Vietnamese latte, the pandan latte, and the calamnsi Matcha. The Matcha was my personal favorite, it was such a fresh and tasty drink that went perfect with all their pastries! We first tried visiting Sinta yesterday (Mon 3/30), but they were unexpectedly closed. Thankfully, we returned today (Tues 3/31 -- Farmworkers Day) and were finally able to sample a great selection of their baked goods. Unfortunately, their signature Bibingka Donuts were already sold out by 11:15 AM -- which honestly says a lot about how popular they are! The items we brought home included: Mini DIY Selly, Mini Mahal Lahaina, Mini Ube, Mini Ube Leche Flan, Mini Mango Matcha, Puff Pastry, and gluten-free Pavlovas. At the time of writing this review, the only item we had tried was the Puff Pastry -- and it was excellent. It tasted fresh, perfectly balanced (not overly sweet), and wasn't as messy as typical puff pastries thanks to its flaky texture and thoughtful toppings. The portion size was just right to satisfy a sweet craving without feeling heavy. Service moved efficiently despite a steady crowd, and the wait wasn't bad at all. Prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety offered. We had already had our coffee for the day, so we didn't get to try their specialty hot drinks this visit -- but that just gives us another reason to come back. Parking can be a bit challenging during the morning rush, though we were lucky to find a spot about a block away. We're already looking forward to returning -- and hopefully next time we'll arrive early enough to finally try those Bibingka Donuts! read more

Located in the Village of Escaya in Otay Ranch right off of Heritage, Sinta is a brand new, Filipina owned and inspired bakery. It sits right under the apartments there so please be courteous of the residents. Parking looks scary initially but it's not as bad as you think. They have spots throughout the village for the retail purposes but if you don't mind a small walk, there's plenty of street parking along the outskirts and by Escaya Park. I didn't have an issue with parking for the numerous times I've gone. The bakery itself is cute, clean and has subtle hints and tributes to Filipino culture. They have a few tables inside and outside and they are dog friendly! Service is great! The team is constantly working and moving. Everytime I've gone they've always been very polite. Owner is a young hardworking Filipina so I love giving my support. You can tell she put her passion and love into this bakery. Price matches what you get! They're reasonably priced treats! My favorite cupcake is the Mahal Lahaina! All their treats aren't too sweet, their cupcakes are super moist! I've been wanting to try their Bibingka Donuts, I think they're probably their best seller cause every time I get there, they're already sold out, so one day I will lol. Their matcha is yummy! I saw my friend post about their bibingka donut and immediately tried to pull up... but man, that line was OUTRAGEOUS...so I decided to come back later already accepting my fate... and by the grace of God they still had some left!! This review is just for the bibingka donuts and overall ambience of the place, which is located in a newly developed housing area in Chula Vista. The bakery is such a cute space with tasteful Philippine decor; with capiz lighting, wicker chairs and tables. Everywhere you look was aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes. The only thing is, it isn't a very large space, so seating is limited. The staff that day (which was a Monday) were very friendly and helpful. I ordered almost one of everything they had for a friend, but I only ordered the ube and bibingka donuts for myself. Let me just say, THE BIBINGKA DONUTS are the star of this place. It came warm with a side of coconut shavings and were absolutely delicious. They were soft, chewy and addicting. I regret not taking a pic before devouring! I will have to come back and try their other pastries and see if they compare to the bibingka donuts. This was well balanced and had great flavor. The Boku Pandan latte was one of the best I've had as well. I walk by here frequently and talked to the owner and her husband a few weeks ago while they were preparing for the soft opening. What a beautiful and quaint place. Went to visit Sinta for the first time this morning! But this wasn't my first time having their pastries. We ordered their Mother's Day Special (two puff pastries loaded with a beautiful array of fruit plus a bibingka!), which my husband picked up for me. (There's a reviewer that complained about the two donut limit- it didn't seem like they didn't have a limit today, but given how popular they are on social media, it's completely understandable to have a limit so more customers get to try them.) Overall I would come here again! The drinks, staff, and interior were all great. Small suggestion would be to have a better drink carrier, since the ones near the stand were much too big for the drink cups and they swayed around as I was walking to my car, but not a deal breaker and again, understandable as they are currently in their soft opening stage. Can't wait to see how they continue to grow! Drinks: Iced buko pandan latte: 10/10 it was perfectly sweet, creamy, and had the perfect espresso to buko pandan flavor ratio. Mrs. Nguyen latte: 9/10 they're not kidding when they say it's strong! Treats: Ube flan cupcake: 10/10 the mini flan on top is so cute! I love the texture of the cupcake and how it's fluffy but has substance to it. Mahal Lahaina: 9/10 loved the buko pandan flavor and how bright and colorful it was. It did seem smaller than the ube flan (both were the normal size) and made me question if I was given the mini.
