Went to visit Sinta for the first time this morning! But this wasn't my first time having their pastries. We ordered their Mother's Day Special (two puff pastries loaded with a beautiful array of fruit plus a bibingka!), which my husband picked up for me. This was such a treat and my mom was thrilled to see a unique spin on a Filipino classic. If they did another pre-order for a holiday treat, I would order immediately! When I went today, they had run out of bibingka donuts but I still ordered so many wonderful treats. But once I collected my items, they announced that they had more! So obviously I got back in line and ordered two. (There's a reviewer that complained about the two donut limit- it didn't seem like they didn't have a limit today, but given how popular they are on social media, it's completely understandable to have a limit so more customers get to try them.) Overall I would come here again! The drinks, staff, and interior were all great. Small suggestion would be to have a better drink carrier, since the ones near the stand were much too big for the drink cups and they swayed around as I was walking to my car, but not a deal breaker and again, understandable as they are currently in their soft opening stage. Can't wait to see how they continue to grow! Drinks: Iced buko pandan latte: 10/10 it was perfectly sweet, creamy, and had the perfect espresso to buko pandan flavor ratio. Mrs. Nguyen latte: 9/10 they're not kidding when they say it's strong! The coffee had a great kick but could've had a tad more condensed milk to counter the strong coffee, but that's my preference and I would still order again. Treats: Ube flan cupcake: 10/10 the mini flan on top is so cute! I love the texture of the cupcake and how it's fluffy but has substance to it. Mahal Lahaina: 9/10 loved the buko pandan flavor and how bright and colorful it was. It did seem smaller than the ube flan (both were the normal size) and made me question if I was given the mini. Sansrival: 10/10 this is my favorite Filipino treat and I'm so glad they had it in a single serving. Delicious, light, great crunch. Bibingka donuts: 15/10!! I'm in love. The texture, the crisp edges all around, the little bits of cream cheese- this is easily the best bibingka I have had outside of the Philippines. read more

I've tried almost everything on their menu and would only come back for the bibinka donuts. The owner is usually the one at the register and although she greets you, she looks annoyed and doesn't smile. The pastries are pretty pricey but the furniture is cute and they play loud music. They need a menu on the wall so you don't have to wait to see what's on display to figure out what to order. The service takes pretty long, even when you know what you want. read more

Finally a Filipino bakery with a modern twist and a gorgeous place to hangout. The place was clean and aesthetically decorated. A great coffee shop to visit with. We need more of these types of places in this neighborhood. They have a great selection of pastries with Filipino inspired flavors. The cupcakes are very light in flavor but the best part of their cupcakes is their cakes. Super moist. Service is as well expected. Drinks came out first and pastries a little bit after since they had to pack them up. The line was long and out the door but move along at a reasonable pace. I ordered the hojicha drink with oat milk. It's made the traditional way with bamboo whisk which I appreciate. Sinta is such a vibe! The lovely decor pays great homage to Filipino culture and the furniture (seeing it all over social media) was enough for me to stop by. The Milo Crunch Iced Latte was enough to get me to want to return. It was still soft opening when I visited here last weekday morning and pretty busy. It's situated among other businesses in the midst of a residential area. My sister and I both ordered the same drink and thought it was nicely flavored, not too sweet, and strong. We also got a small sample of their many desserts to take home and share with our parents. We tried the Bibingka Donut, Ube Leche Flan Cupcake, and Pandan Cupcake. Super cute new bake shop cafe in the Escaya area of Chula Vista. Love all the Filipino touches on all their decor. Really takes you back to the Philippines with the ornate designs. We came in and tried pretty much everything in their display and a few that came out as we were ordering. I have to say their cupcake bases are so moist and spongey and not too sweet, and beautifully decorated! Calamansi Tart had a distinct Calamansi flavor tamped down by cream. The Bibinka donuts were dense but kind of mochi-like. Loved the fruit puff pastry and the custard pastry shaped like a shell. The Pandan cupcake was so moist and easy to put away. Ube tart was good and similar to the Calamansi one, just not citrusy. Also tried their Milo Crunch Latte and it had a sort of mocha feel to it; tried hard not breathe in the powder topping and mix it in right away so I don't choke. lol Def recommend this spot and worth the drive down. I got here around 9:30 am Saturday parking and was able to get a parking spot right in front because I arrived as someone was leaving. The line was long, but it got even longer after I left, but the wait was as expected and once I ordered I didn't have to wait too long for my items. I ordered a 2 mini ube cupcakes, 2 mini mahal Lahaina cupcakes, 2 mini pavlovas, 2 mini ube leche flan cupcakes, and 1 napoleon for a small family party. I also picked up a Mrs. Nguyen latte and a Milo Crunch latte. My family devoured these. They were the right portion size for everyone and my very judgmental mom and auntie said, "it's not too sweet," and "oh, that's real ube flavor, not just food coloring." I think the price was reasonable, and everything looked beautiful. My cousin and I loved our lattes. The actual shop itself is beautiful. I appreciate the details in the seating and in the light fixtures. The wait was about 15/20 minutes , and there was still enough seating areas when we ordered . Love love love Sinta! Another new addition to the Chula Vista lineup and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. Located in the Village of Escaya in Otay Ranch right off of Heritage, Sinta is a brand new, Filipina owned and inspired bakery. It sits right under the apartments there so please be courteous of the residents. Parking looks scary initially but it's not as bad as you think. They have spots throughout the village for the retail purposes but if you don't mind a small walk, there's plenty of street parking along the outskirts and by Escaya Park. I didn't have an issue with parking for the numerous times I've gone. The bakery itself is cute, clean and has subtle hints and tributes to Filipino culture. They have a few tables inside and outside and they are dog friendly! Service is great! The team is constantly working and moving. Everytime I've gone they've always been very polite. Owner is a young hardworking Filipina so I love giving my support. You can tell she put her passion and love into this bakery. Price matches what you get! They're reasonably priced treats! My favorite cupcake is the Mahal Lahaina! All their treats aren't too sweet, their cupcakes are super moist! I've been wanting to try their Bibingka Donuts, I think they're probably their best seller cause every time I get there, they're already sold out, so one day I will lol. Their matcha is yummy! We first tried visiting Sinta yesterday (Mon 3/30), but they were unexpectedly closed. Thankfully, we returned today (Tues 3/31 -- Farmworkers Day) and were finally able to sample a great selection of their baked goods. Unfortunately, their signature Bibingka Donuts were already sold out by 11:15 AM -- which honestly says a lot about how popular they are! The items we brought home included: Mini DIY Selly, Mini Mahal Lahaina, Mini Ube, Mini Ube Leche Flan, Mini Mango Matcha, Puff Pastry, and gluten-free Pavlovas. At the time of writing this review, the only item we had tried was the Puff Pastry -- and it was excellent. It tasted fresh, perfectly balanced (not overly sweet), and wasn't as messy as typical puff pastries thanks to its flaky texture and thoughtful toppings. The portion size was just right to satisfy a sweet craving without feeling heavy. Service moved efficiently despite a steady crowd, and the wait wasn't bad at all. Prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety offered. We had already had our coffee for the day, so we didn't get to try their specialty hot drinks this visit -- but that just gives us another reason to come back. Parking can be a bit challenging during the morning rush, though we were lucky to find a spot about a block away. We're already looking forward to returning -- and hopefully next time we'll arrive early enough to finally try those Bibingka Donuts! read more

I saw my friend post about their bibingka donut and immediately tried to pull up... but man, that line was OUTRAGEOUS...so I decided to come back later already accepting my fate... and by the grace of God they still had some left!! I bought two Anyway, the Milo Crunch is a must-try--it totally reminded me of my childhood eating Milo straight from the container. My favorite is the ube. I walk by here frequently and talked to the owner and her husband a few weeks ago while they were preparing for the soft opening. What a beautiful and quaint place. You can tell a lot of thoughtful care went into the design and layout of all the furniture, lighting, and interior, and that's an extension of the same amount of sentiment that goes into the offerings. I had the ube tart, San rizal, and the matcha latte. All were tasty and incredibly satisfying. To see that the store has sold out is testament to the support that the community has, and I hope this business thrives and does well. Been to this place on two seperate occasions. The cafe is beautiful and spacious with cute flower chairs and a nice quaint calm feeling to it. It reminds me of the colors and ambiance as if I were at the beach. The first time I went, I got the calamansi tart, mahal Lahaina and the calamansi mango poppy seed cupcake. Both the calamansi tart and the mahal Lahaina were delicious!!! They were both super soft and the tastes were amazing. The calamansi mango poppy seed to me tasted like just a regular cupcake and nothing really special about the cake or the bread. The first time I went , I got the calamansi matcha and the chagacchino. The matcha had an interesting taste to it and is a little on the sweeter side but still refreshing. The chagacchino was the perfect amount of sweetness where you could still taste the flavors of the espresso as well as the sweetness of the flavors that were used. The sweetness wasn't overpowering and just the right amount. The taste of the espresso used was exceptional as well. The second time I went and got the Mrs Nguyen latte and it's supposed to be a twist on their version of a Vietnamese coffee. I was not a fan. There is an after taste to the coffee I can't quite put my finger on, I'm not sure if it's the blend of espresso or bean they use or if it's the flavors of sweetner that are added to it but I would not get the drink again. I do like the strongness of the coffee since I was told by the barista that this one had 4 shots to it. The two times I went, the baristas were really nice. I'm not sure who the first barista (her name) but she was helpful in explaining the drinks and helping me decide on what to get. the second time I went the name of the barista that was on my cups was "Jaden". Super sweet guy and he actually walked my drink out to me which was unexpected and I was super impressed! Great customer service on their part! read more

Coffee was very good, as were all the pastries. Super cute decor and friendly staff as well. Plenty of parking, but come early! I love the pricing - esp for the mini cupcakes & I also love that there are options for mini desserts. The interior is very cute as well but the table designs are a bit weird. Tables were wobbly and are designed with three legs so you're forced to sit with a pole between your legs. The coffee was over all okay, but kind of watery. Obviously this place is new and working out the kinks as they're very busy for a Saturday but I was generally annoyed about the wait until I realized they just forgot my ticket. I needed to show them my receipt for them to fulfill my order. My mother in law loved the ube leche flan cupcake and I got a cupcake for another friend with pandan. For myself so got their bibingka which was overall pretty good too - but I honestly prefer Manila sunset's. I think the desserts are good, coffee could use some work for that price point, and that their system could use some work for their ordering system and keeping track. Our drink of choice on this visit was their "Mrs Nguyen" with oat milk. A twist on Vietnamese coffee. Most Vietnamese styled drinks usually have a very strong sweet taste, this did not. Visited this place on Mar 20 at 9:15-ish and the line about 6 party out the door. By the time i got in to order, they are already out of the bibingka inspired items. Sounds pretty promising since i was told they sold out of that item within 40 mins of opening that morning. So I opted for what they have on hand and got the following; sans rival, calamansi tart and ube-flan cupcake. The cupcake was moist enough without being too dry and has the flavor reminiscent of the mccormick ube flavoring. The flan topping was a bit too firm making me think it either has too much egg whites or they added gelatin/agar-agar to stabilize it so they can cut it into small rounds to place it on top without breaking. The white whipped topping has just the right amount of sweetness that even if u eat the cupcake, topping or flan separately, it's not overwhelming sweet. Overall, i'd give this one a 3.9/5. Now on to the calamansi tart. The filling is light with a nice citrus flavor with just the right amount of sugar for balance. The tart shell is structurally sound however, it would be good if they incorporate a bit of the citrus flavor in the shell as well. I'd give this one a 3.9/5 as well. And now we are down to the last item I got, which is the Sansrival. This one a total flop in my opinion. It has the smell of a stale sunflower seed which basically ruins the whole thing. The taste is so horrible, I had to brush my mouth a few times to remove the stale oil flavor. Even my husband who has a cold and can't hardly taste anything can taste the rancid oil flavor on this one. 0/5 I really have a high hopes for the sanrival since it's one of my favorites growing up. Hope they can fix this for their future batch. Maybe quality control the pine nuts they use to avoid this in the future. anyway, we will try this place again next time since it could just be a fluke on this current batch and they are still new in the business. Been following them on IG before I even knew where they were located. Tried their pastries during soft opening and now it's part of my routine after dropping off my son, and before starting work plus it's less than a mile from my house, so that's a win. Their cupcakes, bibingka donut, and cheese rolls are seriously addicting. I love Vietnamese coffee and I was super happy when they start serving Mrs Nguyen latte. But honestly, what keeps me coming back is the staff, they're always super friendly. It matters because even if the food is good, bad vibes from staff can ruin it, and that's definitely not the case here. Love this place and hoping they keep growing.
