I haven't been to Sizzler in over 20 yrs!! Decided to bring my kids! You walk in order then find your seat. Your waitress should be hooking your table up with plates, utensils and bread. It wasn't too packed and they had tvs on. Great music was playing. All the employees were very busy tending to all the customers. Our waitress was truly the best. She was on top of everything. Refills, bringing a clean plate as needed for the salad bar that whoa whoa whoa!!! So much fricken variety. 4-5 different soups Chicken, Carnitas, macaroni and cheese, menudo, carne con cebollo, 4 different pastas, salad on salad. Dressings on dressing. I came to Sizzler around noon on a Friday. Place was surprisingly busy with hardly any tables available. Even though this is a sit down restaurant, there aren't any traditional hosts to seat you nor waiters to take your order. You order and pay at the cashier then pick a table. I didn't try the salad bar, although it seemed a popular option to the other diners. The dining area has a traditional Americana chain restaurant that almost feels nostalgic. The staff does a good job of keeping it clean and maintained. I ordered an eight ounce sirloin cooked medium with a side of fries and a Coke. The steak was slightly cooked to medium well but still very juicy and tender. No steak sauce needed. The fries were enjoyable crunchy on the outside and soft inside. I was offered multiple baskets of complimentary "cheese bread." It was a bit overhyped but still tasty. Not sure where the cheese was on the bread, but the hints of garlic saved the experience. I was overall satisfied with my meal and would recommend this place to anyone seeking a mid tier steak. Spent $25 for the entire meal. read more

Came to this location in Buena Park. Restaurant inside is really clean. Staff is really friendly and welcoming. The menu is right in front visible and easy to read the waiter. Will take your drinks after you place the order which I really like you just find your seat. The food is very delicious and does not take a while. The restaurant is really spacious really comfortable to eat in. I got the barbecue and chicken plate was really good. Never knew this Sizzler was here despite driving by regularly. I am happy the discovery was made now. We visited for a weekday lunch, overall no regrets. It was decently crowded, which made parking in the lot more difficult since its small and shared with a few other businesses. Still managed, and got a table pretty quickly. The value for your money is in the salad bar. They keep everything fresh and stocked. Enough choices to put together any kind of salad you desire, along with random additions like jello and yogurt. They keep 3 to 4 hot soups on the ready. There is a section with spaghetti, wings, mac n cheese, corn dogs - etc, also awesome. To top it off, self serve ice cream with a small selection of toppings.. We got a bacon cheeseburger meal and a steak/shrimp plate, but I am sad to report those were bland and not appealing. The shrimp had positive feedback, but the burger and steak couldn't hold their own. No taste, no flavor, no happiness. Diane, Danny, and the rest of the staff were all friendly. Minus the bathrooms, they kept the place very clean. No table was left hanging.. Wow... I heard that there was a Sizzler here in Orange County. So we caught a Lyft there. Back at home Hawaii, all Sizzlers closed up for over 10 years ago. I ordered the Steak and Lobster with baked potato and I have to say it was just as good from the last time I had it. The lobster was a good size for the price. The Cheese bread was incredible and the salad bar was 2nd to none. The staff was very friendly all around and very attentive. It had the same ambiance as the last time I sat in. Updated review with photos! I've visited other locations but I still think this one in Buena Park is my favorite. The staff here is friendly, attentive, and considerate. I love coming during the weird hours when it's not peak busy times when all the older folks are there. I think I have an old soul. My go to order is the small plate Malibu chicken which has one versus double Malibu chicken which has two. Lol. The loaded baked potato is a must. Sometimes I'll add a side salad and add some shredded cheese from the salad bar on top of my baked potato. That's a pro tip for ya. The ambiance gives me a nostalgic feeling and reminds me of when times were more simple. The prices are also great. You can get the classic trio for under $22. That can't be beat honestly. My kids love coming here too. We all think it's a special place and a treat if you ask any of us! Parking is still weird. One way in, one way out. But we can't have it all sometimes. I hadn't been to sizzler in many years and turns out I have one near work and was craving a fresh salad. I went and got the endless salad bar and it was great. It seems expensive however you do get good quality food and plenty of it nice and fresh. There was my favorite chicken wings as well as tacos nachos and ground beef. Beef fajitas complete with onions and peppers carnitas plenty of tortillas or shells to make tacos. Fresh guacamole plenty of salad and dressing options as well as fruit some soups and event deserts. My mom lost her mind when she discovered a Sizzler just across the street from our hotel and couldn't stop talking about it during our entire stay. So, I promised her we'd visit before heading home. I was a bit reluctant because we used to eat at Sizzler every Sunday after church growing up, and walking into the restaurant brought back so many memories. It felt like nothing had changed; every Sizzler seems identical, and even the people eating appeared to look the same. However, I was extremely surprised by how clean the place was, and the lady at the register was a sweetheart. My mom decide to roll with the all-you-can-eat salad bar, while the boys chose cheeseburger kids' meals, and I splurged on a steak with fried butterfly shrimp. I can't front, the food was really good (I often forget it's actually a steakhouse). The complimentary bread served before the meal was also delicious. Overall, I was impressed. The fact that Sizzler is still thriving and the food is of good quality means it deserves some respect, and I've certainly given it that. The food was fine. This isn't something this particular restaurant can help, but the prices are a little too high for the value. The salad bar alone is $18 or so, and the add-on to an entree is $8 or 9. The soups were good, and they kept the salad bar stocked even toward the end of the night. The servers were nice and kept an eye on if you needed a new salad plate. I was surprised that they didn't automatically bring bread and that there was only vanilla soft serve. Somehow, we randomly decided to give it a try since it always seems packed at this Buena Park location. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses. There is limited street parking. We arrived less than an hour before closing, and the restaurant was still quite busy. We were able to place our order with no wait at the front counter. After ordering, they will bring the food to your table. The interior is clean and well-maintained. Most customers were enjoying the salad bar. We opted to order some entrees to see if things have improved through the years. For our entrees we ordered: ***8oz Tri Tip Sirloin - prepared medium rare but arrived at the table on the medium side. It was a decent steak and somewhat tender for this cut. It was flavorful enough without any sauce or toppings. The side of golden french fries was a good pairing. **BBq ribs and chicken - the ribs were tender. They were tasty drenched in the bbq sauce. The chicken was bland and very tough. Skip it! Add on soup - clam chowder was edible coming straight out of a can. They still offer complimentary cheese bread. It was good and filling. The food was ok. Upon arriving to Sizzler with two SUVs for of people. The restaurant appeared to be extremely busy with the tables being primarily occupied. Needless to say... they at that moment weren't able to accommodate our large party of 15. So we had to wait about 20 minutes in our vehicles until they came out and told us that ample space was ready for our large party. Once we were seated all of our orders came out rather quickly and taste great. The server/waitress that we had was amazing. She was upbeat, energetic, extremely attentive, very polite, very professional, and always accurate with any and everything that we requested. She definitely earned every bit of her tip, and quite frankly after seeing her performance, I would go as far as to say, she even deserves a raise... that's how awesome she was. Got here when they just opened for lunch on a Friday. Ordered the unlimited salad bar. It is $13.99 Mondays to Fridays and $15.99 weekends. Did not get offered cheese toast. Service was mostly good. Restaurant is clean and in order. They are out of wings for the time being so they temporarily replaced it with unlimited mini hot dogs and unlimited chicken nuggets. Would be nice if they had unlimited chicken tender bites instead. That'd be a nice temporary replacement. The salad bar was yum. They had build your own salad and a few pre-made salads like macaroni salad, tuna pasta salad(sooo yummmmm), spinach salad, potato salad then the hot bar had chicken nuggets, mini corn dogs, tortilla chips, 3 different proteins; steak fajitas, carnitas, and ground beef, spaghetti with meatballs, mac and cheese, and hot tortillas. Salsa and guac are in the salad bar section. All in all, great lunch and it was quick! A few parties came after me and left. I stayed for a while and enjoyed every dish there was. Yum yum in tum tum!
