I wish this sizzle would model the sizzler in Cedar City, Utah. It needs a 55 plus senior discount and lower prices. If you order a 13.99 item to get t to e salad bar it's an extra 7.99. Ouch! I live sizzler, but lunch for 2 with salad bar and soda would be 58.00. This is too expensive. Lower the salad bar to 3.99 with lunch/dinner. In addition, have a 55 plus senior discount. Against my better judgement we went here last week (Aug 25, 2016) with another couple after helping our kids move in to their dorms at NAU. My buddy is a great guy, but one of those types who only wants to go to a place he knows. He was dreaming about going to sizzler for days after he found out that there's one in Flagstaff. I was very skeptical about what we'd find, but decided to take the high ground and submit. I was hot and tired and wanted a cold beer and a nicely cooked, fresh burger. But they don't sell any alcohol there, and I nearly walked out. I composed myself and took one for the team, hoping the food would win me over. Unfortunately, it was even worse than I feared. I ordered a burger but when it arrived it was obviously cooked long ago and appeared to have filler. The lettuce was wilted and the tomato slice was dry and tasteless. One of my kids ordered a burger, too, and it had to be sent back because it looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it. My other kid ordered chicken tenders, but they, too, were dry and tasteless, except for the flour taste of the coating. Yuck. Our server was unshaven, and his unappetizing appearance failed to improve our dining experience. He was very nice, and was an attentive server, but despite his efforts the overall experience was dreadful. The one bright spot in the experience was my wife's salad. It was pretty fresh and cold and tasty, and if all you want is a soda and a salad, I'd still recommend going elsewhere. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Flagstaff I strongly encourage you to check out other options. Please do not get me wrong, the staff at this place in Flagstaff, AZ was fine. The problem is that the Corp Sizzler Management is content with prepackaged, pre cooked food for the salad bar: The spaghetti was precooked and sort of OK. The sauce was lifeless and drained all over the plate.The meatballs were pre made and were terrible. The salads were swimming in dressing. The lava cake must have been from yesterday. I did like the bread pudding. We paid $40.00 for two (2) entrees and the salad bar. The Monte Crisco was a breaded chicken patty that had been left on the flat top for, who knows how long, before a sucker like me ordered it. I am convinced that this patty was the same patty that McDonalds uses for their $1.00 Chicken Sandwich. My wife ordered the breaded shrimp and these must be the same product that get sold elsewhere for $.25 each elsewhere. They were Overcooked and Tasteless. I complained to the waitress who seemed sympathetic and she sent another manager over to see us. We refused any replacement of the food because you just knew it was going to be the same "stuff". The second manager sent another manager over. All three of these people were nice and seemed sincere. The problems is, of course, any replacement food will come out of a "fresh bag" and be sub standard. By pass the Sizzler and go any other quick service restaurant. $40 will get you much more at any of those places. The Sizzler is a "has been" restaurant chain and now I know why I keep seeing them 'boarded up'. I hope they will do some soul searching before it is to late for them. Our dinner was absolutely amazing! The service was so great, and food was out quick and hot. We had the most amazing conversation with one of the bussers, David. He was so kind and helpful and even during a busy time, he was quick to clean. This kid needs a raise! This was my first time to a Sizzler, so I can't compare it to any others. The menu is on the wall, and you place your order first, then sit. We were the only ones ordering, and once we sat, there were three other tables with people on our side of the restaurant. The server was nice, and all started well. She got our drinks to us quickly. The place started to get busy while we were waiting for our meals, and we were glad we got there before the rush. It took quite some time for the food to arrive, 4 of 6 got our food. Maybe 10 minutes later the other two dinners arrived, including my steak and lobster. The baked potato was perfect, but both my steak and lobster were cold. Cold! $30 for this to be cold. I let our server know. She was very polite, apologized, and said she would have another prepared. About 15 minutes later I did get my food again, and this time it was warm. The steak was cooked well instead of medium, though, but I was not going to say anything anymore. My hubs ordered the steak and unlimited shrimp, and his shrimp was no longer hot, but edible. Getting drinks refilled took quite a while. From what I could tell our server was waiting on many tables, and bussing tables, and maybe doing too much for just one person. Long story short, we will not be returning to Sizzler. I am still giving 2 stars instead of 1 simply because the food did have good flavor and because the server had a sweet disposition. I have eaten at many steakhouses and normally Sizzler isn't one of them, but I am on a business trip and the restaurant was in walking distance from my hotel. I had the 14oz. Rib eye with garlic mash potatoes and sauteed mushrooms and onions. I can honestly say this streak surprised me, it was actually better than some of the more higher rated steakhouses I have eaten at. The only disappointing thing was the presentation was pretty plain and sparse. The garlic mash potatoes were not potato flakes, but a real spud mashed. We ate here last night on our way to Grand Canyon. The advertising for unlimited ribs brought us to this resturant. Parking lot was full of cars. Upon going in, we observed only 6 or 8 customers. We realized later there was a large meeting in their meeting room. We got the ribs, which was floating in BBQ sauce. I ordered steamed broccoli and got a vegetable mix. The steak with the ribs was dry and tough. We used our 1 napkin to wipe off some of the sauce, which didnt help the taste of the ribs... they still tasted a little old. Needless to say, the ribs were not what we expected. Even though there were very few (less than 10) customers, no waitress ever checked on drinks or maybe extra napkins. I finally took my glass to a ghe front and asked if I could get more water. I also asked if the others could get a refill? To this the aggravated waitress asked, "who?" To which I replied, "the customers sitting at my table." I then asked for some extra napkins and was given about 6 tiny napkins. Finally I went to bathroom to wash hands and get additional napkins. The bathroom was nasty. 1 stall was unusable and another the door would not close. That left the handicap stall which really shocked me at not having the higher toilet. Needless to say, the food and service was unacceptable. In addition, the building was nasty and unkept. I believe I can say, three customers will never again be subjected to Sizzler food and service. This is the worst Sizzler in Arizona. I now have to peel the shell and feet off the shrimp skewers, that is just nasty. If I wanted to pick off feet and shells I would have ordered it. The salad bar is just dirty. What I thought was Caesar salad was nuthing more than wilted and soggy lettuce. The lettuce and croutons were so soggy with dressing it was all just mush. I wanted to vomit. If the waitress was mad about not getting a tip is because she never picked up dirty plates, we had to put them on a different table in order to make room for 3 of us to eat. Like another reviewer already said, Sizzler used to be THE place to go. Unfortunately it has gone downhill to the point we will never return. We placed our orders first at the door (I can't say I remember it being this way in the past but that wasn't the bad part of our visit). The "hostess" said "sit wherever you want" but then we were promptly forgotten. We were not in a hidden part of the restaurant, we were close to two other occupied tables. They received service, we did not. And it was NOT busy there! After 25 minutes of NO ONE coming to our table for drink orders or anything, my husband went back to the cashier to ask what happened to our server and/or our food. Suddenly our server appeared at our table to take drink orders. "Oops, sorry" he said. Our food came 20 minutes later, absolutely cold. The server "forgot" the salad but said "do you just want to forget about it?" ....uh no, we did pay for it! So we ate our cold dinner first, steaks with the texture very close to the bottom of my shoes, then the salad came out after we were done. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but should have listened to the alarms going off in my head. The hostess/cashier over charged our friends and had to fix it not once, not twice, but three times. Not only was the beginning bad but from start to end the serving staff just showed how grossly incompetent they are. We literally had to stand up and call a server in order to get anything done. The cost for the food is also outrageous. Six pieces of "jumbo" shrimp that tasted like it came from the freezer isle for $12 is beyond ridiculous. The salmon was mediocre at best. There really was nothing outstanding about this location that even warrants a single star but unfortunately zero stars is not available. Save yourself the money and just go elsewhere. Not so thrilling. We went here for nostalgic reasons and it was a failure. Nothing had much taste on the salad buffet. The crab salad had no seasoning and way too much mayo. The ranch was even bland. My son, 12, did not eat his fries because they were too salty. None of the soups look appetizing, the hearty chicken noodle had seriously over cooked noodles and greasy. My husband did not like the clam chowder but did not share why. Somehow there was a layer of grease on the tomato basil soup as well. My daughter, 8, said the jello tasted funny and she did not eat anything after that. The malibu chicken was still good and the cilantro lime rice was as well. That at least had some flavor. This was most definitely not worth the money my family dropped on it. The streaks were way over done and very tiny. Did not get my onions and mushrooms but got charged over 4 dollars for it. Waiter was super slow so by the time i was able to tell him i was half way done with my food. So i ask him just to take it off the ticket since you prepay he had to bring me cash back. I guess he can count because he shorted me money. Had to have manger come over to straighten it out. I got endless shrimp but since the service was so slow, i gave up on since everyone was ready to go. We spent over a hundred dollars and got tiny streaks, 1 side, no bread and if you wanted the salad bar it was another 7 dollars on top of the 20 dollar priced streaks. Omg, I had the 14 ounce rib eye and it was the worth the 90 mile drive. It was made perfectly, just the right amount of spices. The cheese bread was on the table within minutes of asking for it. The salad bar had everything my wife's heart desired. The ranch dressing was made with buttermilk. The staff was friendly and checked on us just enough to make sure everything was fine without being over bearing. Overall this is why we drive 90 miles for a great steak dinner. read more

A friend of mine has never been to Sizzler and wanted to try it. He ended up being sick from it. We went to the location in Flagstaff to just have the salad bar. The restaurant itself did not make the cleanest impression but we still went for it. The salads we had were pretty decent and tasty but the rest of the food really wasn't. I was hoping for good taste and no gourmet experience as it is Sizzler but it was bland, the food was not refilled on time so that we missed out on some items such as Mac and cheese and spaghetti. The desert was horrible and made my friend sick. The cashier did a good job even though a bit unprepared as there was no receipt paper and no pen there but he fixed it fast. The only decent thing is the salad bar, but still not worth the time. Several people in my party got over charged when initially ordering. From there, I ordered off of the smaller plate menu and got 6 pieces of supposed jumbo shrimp that tasted like I could have gotten them from the 99cent store freezer aisle and just like the oil they were fried in. I couldn't finish them. The malibu chicken looked like a slice of barely melted cheese on top of toast. The clam chowder tasted like flour. Beau had scoped this place out last year with his hunting buddies. Not a fan of chain restaurants, it did have value. For $20, we enjoyed their all you can eat salad bar and gazed out at the Flagstaff blue skies. Lots of tasty salads, tempting fried food -like chicken and onion rings, plus a taco bar. Taco bar was fully stocked with baked shells, tortillas, shredded pork, a variety of hot sauces, guacamole and more! Are you hearing value yet?
