On our visit to Oceanside we noticed a Sizzler off the freeway. We hadn't been there in 30 years. We, my wife and I have found memories of sizzler from when we were younger. Where we live, Tucson Arizona, has no Sizzlers so we got excited and decided to go in for dinner. We are so glad we did. As we entered we noticed right away It was beautiful inside. Spacious and clean. TVs that had sports on. Nice booths and tables. We took a bit looking at the menus which are huge and hung on the walls while you waited to talk to the cashier. Right away we felt welcomed and appreciated. Alina Gutierrez was so nice and helpful. We decided on our first visit, because we came back before we returned home since our first experience was so enjoyable, to do the all you can eat salad bar. We were blown away. It was so clean and well organized. The food looked so good and fresh. I must have returned 5 times to the bar. I started with an incredible salad. I then went and got some pasta with red sauce. So good. I then came back and made nachos and tacos. I then came back and got chicken wings and potato wedges. I finished with an incredible brownie Sunday. It was one of the best brownies I've ever eaten. I was so happy with our meal and the time we got to spend with each other here. We had a great time. I also want to mention Patristna. i used to love this place growing up but unfortunately i was very disappointed this time around. the service was amazing, everyone was super friendly and helpful, but as far as the food it was not. i ordered the steak and malibu chicken. the chicken felt like i was eating a large chicken nugget with cheese/ham on top and it was barely warm when it came out. as for the steak, i asked for it cooked well and when i cut into it, it was well done and it lacked flavor in my opinion. i'm not one to complain and would never send back food, but i can say i don't plan on coming back. read more

It's time for an update review. It's a chain restaurant. Today, it's super crowded. But everybody working today is super cheerful. The food was fresh. We got the salad bar. Salad bar has fresh salad that you can customize to your liking. There are multiple soups to choose from. You can make your own nachos, hard shell tacos, or just pick anything you like. The fried chicken is hot and fresh!!! You can get potato wedges, mini fried tacos, etc. I got myself some salad, one fried chicken, and an ice cream. Today is family day, and many others who came after church. It was a little busier than usual. But I appreciate that the turnover of the food us super fresh. We came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great visit. The salad bar was very clean and organized. Our food came out very quickly. There was one issue as part of our order was not made nor delivered to us, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, our refills were stacked with too much ice, so they weren't as helpful for that. The server Darla was amazing. She took care of the drinks and missing food item, so she gets all the praise I can offer. Overall, Darla gets 5 stars. Sizzler itself gets 3. The manager (Mr Guillermo) made sure we were taken care of from the time we ordered till the time we walked out. He does this with all his customers. Today my elderly parents went to Sizzler, after being loyal regulars for years and had one of the most humiliating experiences they've ever had. They've always enjoyed their visits for the most part, but today was completely different. Their server was unbelievably rude and made them feel disrespected & humiliated. My mom and dad each ordered their own plates. My mom let my dad have her soup that came with her meal, and the waitress loudly scolded my mom in front of others, saying she was "not allowed" to share her soup with her husband (my father). My parents were shocked and embarrassed. Wanting to avoid conflict, my mom even went and paid for the soup separately. Yet even after paying, the waitress went to the register to "verify" that it had been paid for, adding even more humiliation. As a business owner myself, I would never tolerate employees speaking to customers like that. Loyal customers are what keep a business alive. Treating people especially longtime regulars with disrespect is exactly how a business loses its clientele. My parents left feeling embarrassed and hurt, and I am absolutely livid that they were treated this way. I will be contacting corporate and I will personally be calling management. read more

Unlike most of our visits, today was a disappointing experience due to a lack of customer care. My family came in to enjoy the complimentary Veterans Day meal. While the other guests and staff were kind, the young woman at the register was unexpectedly dismissive. Her attitude and lack of courtesy were disheartening--especially on a day dedicated to honoring the many veterans dining there. The cashier, Ginan (listed under the name Christine C on our receipt), appeared impatient throughout the interaction. After my father showed his military ID, she rang up his meal rather than applying the complimentary discount. Had my father not been paying close attention, the transaction would have cost us nearly twenty dollars. This may seem minor, but on a day meant to celebrate him, he was instead met with unnecessary frustration. I can only imagine how many other veterans may have experienced a similar interaction today. To be clear, my family truly loves Sizzler. We often choose this restaurant to celebrate and enjoy time together. Everything else about today's visit was exceptional. The food was great, the salad bar was fresh, and both our waiter, Hugo, and bussers were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their kindness genuinely brightened our experience. My only concern is the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the cashier. I hope this feedback helps ensure that future guests--especially veterans--feel respected and appreciated. read more

Went recently when friends suggested they were heading here. Been 25 years or so since I've been there. Ordered a small burgundy tip mushroom plate medium rare, baked potato and side salad .
