I came here for steak shrimp, and my favorite "Malibu Chicken." I love to come here once in awhile to avoid long waits at other restaurants. Our waiter was "Randy" and he was amazing, refilled our drinks, brought out our food right away and was very friendly! The shrimp were odd - definitely frozen but also under cooked. The Malibu chicken and the cheese toast were solid. My sweetheart proclaimed the food sick and said he would never return. Asked for an extra plate to share for me and my father appetizer bread with and didn't provide a clear reason to why we couldn't get an extra plate. I took the family to dinner and was greeted right away prior to moving to the register. It was busy and the servers where constantly clearing tables and we sat down quickly. When I tell you I don't regret that $100 plus dollars they can get it again and again the steak coconut shrimp loaded baked potato was the best ever that ribeye melts in ya mouth! Super overpriced for salad bar. Would bring my kids because they liked the soup and maybe if I were lucky would eat one chicken wing. Each and every restaurant has its market and price point. I read through lots of the reviews so I had to go check it out myself. Was greeting with a line, not a big line, but a line which means "people like to come here" and generally more often than once. Treat people rudely and they just want you gone from their work space as soon as possible. Sometimes I can be a picky eater: steak: chard rare, baked potatoe: butter, sour cream, chives, no bacon, and no bread needed. My order came out just that way ... with a smiling staff member. Wonder why that is? Now, Sizzler is a "Family" restaurant; so I would expect to hear family type sounds. Elevated, loud, kids noises, laughter, a cry or two ... even a verbal warning that will send anyone above the age of 42 into a flashback of their childhood. If you are looking for a clean "family friendly" establishment, good quality food for the whole gang, an excellent support staff, and in a value added price point ... Look no further than Sizzler. I am very disappointed. I came with my family and our waiter was horrible. Our food came out so bad and dry I couldnt even finish my meal. My niece ordered a chocolate milk and the guy said they don't have that, so he took the drink and said he will see what he can do for us. He comes back WITH THE SAME DRINK AND THE DRINK WE HAD WAS EXPIRED!!! do not go here they will take ur money and run, this is my grandmas favorite place and now she is very disappointed in service and the meals. Man oh man this place was bad!!! We had a large group so we where not in any hurry to get food and leave. Most of us got a steak of some sort and every single one was cooked wrong. People that asked for rare got med well, people that asked for well got rare etc. Some of the baked potatoes where still had and not cooked all the way thru, and they didn't give us the correct amount of plates for the salad bar and we had to argue with the water on who paid. The prices are super super high for the quality of meat they serve. I could get tipple the amount and way better steaks at home for what we paid. My hubby took me here because i suggested it but man iam sad that i did. we were not impressed at all you have to order like a fast food chain. I just wanted to make a review about our experience at this location that we have visited a few times before. We went out on a date night on 11/30 before our movie and I was looking forward to a steak. Fiancé ordered the all you can eat salad bar and I got the steak and Italian herb chicken combo. Service: Cashier was very friendly upon greeting us as soon as we came in and taking our order and our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Food: I'm skeptical of getting steak anywhere because I always order my steaks medium rare and 9/10 times I just don't get it, their usually cremated but last nights steak was cooked to perfection and was a great size even without the size upgrade for $2 more. Something I noticed that has never been done, at least with my experiences is when our waiter brought out my plate he asked me to cut into it to see if it was cooked to my liking. I thought that was really good service. I don't know if that's a new thing their implementing or maybe it's just something that waiter does but it took the hassle out of cutting into later and realizing that it wasn't cooked to my liking and then having to waive him down, take back my food, wait, etc. So kudos to you kind sir and Sizzler for having some great employees at this establishment! read more

I'm flaberghasted by a conversation I just had with my mom. She and several of her church friends went to lunch on Sunday afternoon at The Sizzler in San Bernardino. All between the ages of 85-95, were looking forward to a delightful meal that they had planned several weeks in advance. They don't go out often to eat because they live on rather small budgets, rarely treating themselves to a meal, but they were excited to go have steak at The Sizzler. To my surprise, after their dining experience, my mom said their meals were not the quality of what they anticipated. It appeared as though the ingredients and cuts of meat might not have been of the highest quality, impacting the overall taste and satisfaction of the meal and not what they had expected, although market priced. Unfortunately, the meal they received fell far short of their expectations, and I, as her daughter, feel compelled to bring some specific issues to your attention as none of them are tech savvy enough to Yelp an establishment. They were very dissapointed in the fatty pieces of meat they ordered, enough to where they regretted choosing this establishment to dine. My mom and her friend decided to drive back to the Sizzler this morning (Monday) to speak with the manager, who apparently asked them for their receipts. Neither one had a receipt. He claimed he couldn't do anything to appease them and that they should have filed a complaint with their server after their meal. I simply can't imagine that the manager on duty could not just offer these sweet, respectful older ladies a coupon for a future meal. Any good establishment would do so because the customer should always come first. Clearly in this case, the manager was not doing so, nor did he go out of his way to offer anything other than asking an 86 and a 92 year old woman to go home and find their receipts and bring them back another day. Man o'man!! I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out just recently and I wanted to take my mother out to eat for V-Day! We decided to come to Sizzlers for the unlimited soup bar I started off with the clam chowder which was awesome but i wanted the abondigas (it looked pretty tasty) so i poured myself a bowl and thought "how the heck am I goin to eat this?" So I pulled miss Monique Ontiveros and told her "I have a random request" and miss Monique Ontiveros took my soup that I came in for and took it to the kitchen and smashed it up for me! I barely go out to eat and when I do it's small joints here and there but man I'm so glad I came here and was catered or serviced by her I pulled her manager aside Mr. Jose Casteñeda how awesome her service was! We haven't been in Sizzler for a while so we thought, well why not, let's go see... we got there & were the only one in line, a young "male buck" was kind of helpful/pushy kind a way and have to set him straight. A lady named Irma must have overheard "my presumption " because she ends up ringing our order and also served us the entire meal. Kudos to her, she got good sense! It turns out the she provided an outstanding service & must have checked on us at least 5x to see how's everything or if there's anything we need, 5 star service! The place is quite clean as well as the public restroom. The salad bar is cleaner than I expected and organized. Our food is cooked to our liking, steak we're cooked perfectly, shrimp not burnt, toast are not greasy, condiments for baked potatoes held on side. So who ever was the cook that day and time did a great job! Why 4 not 5 star, well when I first sat down I asked for toast to go with my soup and salad but not served, whatever the reason, I'm grateful, 'coz I left full to the rim!
