We ordered the combo of 2 pounds of shrimp with heads on, garlic noodles, and 2 steamed rice. The seafood boil came out in a large silver bowl instead of the usual large clear bag. I found this to be much better in presentation. Everything was so delicious. The captain Loui sauce was so flavorful and sweet. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Garlic noodles were tasty. A couple of saucy yummy corn and potato were found in the bowl which was a good surprise. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Cap't Loui. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The combo options were a great deal. Free Ice cream popsicles for dessert were a nice surprise at the end. We will definitely be back as their seafood boil is one of the better options in the South Bay.

The oysters were particularly disappointing. They looked sad and were not what we expected. I also ordered a Coke Zero but received Diet Coke instead despite Coke Zero being listed on the restaurant's website. Most concerning, I became sick with what I believe was food poisoning after the meal. I can't definitively say the restaurant caused it, but the timing was concerning and made an already disappointing experience even worse. Lastly, they advertised a free appetizer for signing up for their rewards program with an entrée purchase. We signed up and purchased an entrée, but when we tried to redeem the offer, we were denied and told to use it on our next visit instead. Given our experience, there won't be a next visit. Overall, between the lukewarm food and sauce, delayed sides, disappointing oysters, incorrect drink, getting sick afterward, and the rewards promotion not being honored, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I dined in at Sizzler for the first time last night, and it was an interesting experience! The concept is unique, especially with the option of an unlimited salad bar. They offer a wide variety of salad choices, soups, and other appetizers like chicken wings, meatballs, and even a taco bar. It's definitely a place that caters to families, as I saw many enjoying their meals. For what they offer, it's pretty affordable. Aside from the salad bar, they also have other à la carte items, including small sides like lobster, which adds a nice touch if you're looking for something extra. One thing to note: the girl at the cashier wasn't very friendly, which was a bit disappointing. However, the wait staff provided good service, which made up for it. Writing this review will sitting here, thats how bad this. Service has been horrible, food just as bad. Took twenty minutes to get lemonade. I asked the waitress and as she continued walking away i said "he'll bring it". I yelled out well its already been twenty minutes so how much longer? Then she brought it to table, put it down and said there. And walked away. Ordered 3 steaks, all cooked incorrectly. No ice in the ife machine, and the funniest part is the milk containers. They have been left out now for 53 minutes, sitting right where you see it. How many employees have passed it? Several. You think the health dept should look into it? I DO TOO so they'll be contacted shortly :) in short, dont give me a fucking attitude when i ask for something that i already paid for. read more

I recently tried out Sizzler when I visited home. The food was good, and I felt the price was reasonable for what we got. The service was pretty decent too. The salad bar was like a paradise for salad lovers. They had everything you could think of, and it was clean and well-stocked. If you're into salads, it's definitely a blissful experience. I particularly enjoyed the chicken wings. If you're a fan of those, you won't be disappointed. Sizzler is what you'd expect - a reliable spot for a decent meal. Sizzler in Santa Clara is the one of the best places to eat lunch and dinner. They have a kind of variety of food including American and Mexican. My favorite food there is the all-you-eat shrimp, salad it's so good and only costs under $15. You're going to love it. They also serve steak, seafood, pasta and many more. Free soft-serve yogurt, ice cream and pudding are free with any meals and there are other desserts like cheese cake that you can order. The serve is great and the price is reasonable. I've been going to the Sizzler for over two decades, and it's still my number 1 favorite restaurant. I don't need those new-fangled fancy "Steakhouse" restaurants that my kids and the younger generation like - you know, Ruth Chris, Morton's, etc. I prefer an honest, all-American Sizzler sirloin, just the right size, just the right color. So Last Night Marcus wanted to go to Sizzlers so we went with the kids. I knocked a star off because of the LINE. UGHH..... that was the worst part fo the evening. that and the kids complaining but the food was well worth it. and we were seated with in 20 minutes. The kids Love the desert bar. The salad bar at this place is fantastic with plenty of fresh options available. However, my experience with the TRI-TIP during my last visit was quite disappointing. It was extremely tough and overly salty, leaving my jaw sore for all the wrong reasons. Similarly, my boyfriend's order of RIB EYE was also a letdown. The meat was so bad that we didn't even take the remainder to go. Overall, while the salad bar impresses, the meat options were unfortunately not up to par. read more

Came with a group after church. Every other Sizzler I've been to gives you a baked potato with the unlimited salad bar - if it is not on the bar - they will bring you one. They're about $3.69 plus tax now and have definitely suffered from shrinkflation, feeling much smaller than I remember. (That's a different review for another place). The Habit's version tastes just as good, if not better, and comes in a much more generous size using their vanilla soft serve, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and nuts. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The price difference is that it's about $5.89 here but it's served on one of their milkshake cups which is comparable to I believe a size medium cup that is a lot of Sundae to indulgence and I enjoyed every bite. The burgers are always solid, but this visit was elevated by kindness and attention to detail. Experiences like this are why we'll be coming back more often. Thank you to the team here for turning a simple meal into a great one.

A container of sauce fell out while I was carrying the bag back to my desk and spilled all over the floor. Grease: The paper bag with chips in it was covered in grease stains. The shell of my crispy taco was thick with grease. Never again.

The high top tables are very wobbly and need to be reinforced before using them. This resorted to me sitting at the bar. I ordered the Salmon sandwich with a side salad subbed for the fries. The sandwich is a smaller portion but excellent! The fish was done perfectly to e point of you aren't careful, it will start breaking (which is the way it should be). I would definitely recommend the salmon sandwich if you like salmon. The salad came out do with no dressings. They brought out their balsamic dressing after I asked. The salad was average. I get the idea the food here, at last the main curses are excellent and I definitely enjoyed my sandwich (4 stars if that was the only thing being reviewed. Unfortunately the wobbly tables, and average side dropped to 3.5 stars if that was the option. I will be back for their steaks... I have no doubt they will be good
