My daughter had been eyeing this place for a while every time I asked what she wanted to eat, this spot was always one of the links she'd send me. I'll admit, the raw meat pictures with the rice didn't look that appealing to me at first, so I kept putting it off. One day, we were nearby for her haircut and decided to walk in just to grab a to-go menu and check out the place. To my surprise, it smelled amazing inside, and seeing all the sizzling platters coming out completely changed my mind. The food looked SO good that I immediately said we had to come back and try it. We went during dinner time, and parking in the complex was a bit challenging, but we were able to find a spot fairly quickly. The staff greeted us right away, had us pick a table, and asked if it was our first time. When we said yes, they kindly walked us through how everything works. We ordered the Curry Beef Rice with cheese and the Garlic Beef Pepper Rice (their most popular dish). After placing our order through the QR code, the food came out almost immediately on hot, sizzling platters. The waitress explained how to cook the meat first before mixing everything together. I followed the instructions--cooked the meat until there was no pink, moved the butter to the bottom so it could melt, then mixed everything together and added the sauces. It turned out delicious! I especially loved the crispy, crunchy bits at the bottom of the pan. My daughter cooked her meat a bit longer before mixing, so hers ended up slightly tougher--but still flavorful. After eating, we paid at the front. Just a tip: remember your table number (or check your phone order), because they'll ask for it. Overall, it was such a fun and tasty experience, and we'll definitely be back. Also, random but worth mentioning--the water here is actually really good! I usually don't drink restaurant water, but my daughter said it tasted great, and I overheard another table say the same thing. I tried it, and it was cold, refreshing, and had no weird aftertaste. Huge kudos for that, especially on such a hot day!

Had a great meal at Sizzling Lunch and it continues to be one of my go-to spots. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the rice bowl stands out. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the flavors are consistently strong without being overcomplicated.

I got the beef udon and I put both of the sauces provided and it was delicious. The beef was tender and the sauces went well with the udon and beef. However, I was hoping for some more udon as I wasn't really full at the end. There was a decent amount of meat though.

This meal was everything I dreamed of and more. Me and my friend were able to get seated right away, it wasn't too busy. We were able to order through the QR code. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant clean and well maintained. Food came out fast. We both ordered the spicy garlic beef pepper rice that came topped with green onions, corn, garlic butter and spicy fried garlic and for our appetizer we got the cheese corn. The entree was so good, I finished it. I can't wait to get it again. The pricing is great too.

We've been craving sizzling lunch for a bit. In the past they always pulled through. This time no less. The food was good, I ordered the spicy beef, extra sausage and protein. My wife ordered the same less sausage and cheese corn. Mine was ok, it looked a little light on the extra beef but we were hungry and on a time crunch. The place was very dimly lit today and the floors are always oily so exercise caution. They changed the ordering system again, this time it's a QR menu that opens a tab. Not too bad as everyone seems to be gravitating towards that but you still haw to walk up the counter and close it out. The staff was nice, it was at the end of the night so I didn't want to ask for anything other than a beverage. I failed to take a photo prior but I got what I got.

FOOD I enjoyed the chicken karaage and gyoza. They have dishes that come on a sizzling plate. You rotate the food on the sizzling hot plate to finish cooking the food. Inside is simple. You can order via a QR code and have minimal interaction with the server. You can pay cash at the register too. It's in the same shopping plaza as Chipotle and City Sports gym.

Tldr I like this place. Generally I avoid oily places because too much oil can upset my stomach but my stomach has always been ok with this location. It also helps that when I order the beef pepper rice I can get the garlic butter on the side. I've been to the other sizzling lunch locations but this one is my favorite because it's the most convenient for me. Parking is sometimes difficult because of the gym but I can usually find a spot because it's a huge parking lot lol. I almost always order the beef pepper rice and it's just enough that I am nice and full. The plate comes out super hot and if I move fast enough I can get the crispy rice while making sure all of my meat is cooked too. I dunno. I feel like this is a generic sizzling plate place but the quality here is consistent. It's my comfort sizzling plate place hahaha.

Good food, good prices, good service. Nothing to disparage. The place is kept clean. By golly though, the parking lot is full for this location. I wouldn't order the takoyaki again, but everything else is good! I'm a big fan of the beef pepper over the other options.

Quick service, you order via your phone and pay at the register afterwards. Protein comes out uncooked on an extremely hot plate, you add your extra toppings (teriyaki & garlic sauces, salt/pepper, chili powder) and mix until it's all cooked.

Every time we are in San Jose, this is our go to lunch. Conveniently located in the Brokaw Commons complex. Parking can be very difficult during lunch time on a weekday. A Japanese fusion teppanyaki style food. Service is very quick. Order on the menu by scanning the QR code and food gets delivered. Pay at the counter after eating. I usually order the kurobuta pork belly udon with add on - egg. This is served in a sizzling plate that you need to mix and continue cooking, 2 types of sauces are available- teriyaki and garlic shoyu. I always use the garlic shoyu. Son always gets his pepper beef rice with egg and hubby switches from the other options on their menu. Casual seating, you can choose where you want to get situated. The smell of the food sticks with you until you get home but no complaints. I definitely recommend Sizzling Lunch

This has become my go-to spot when I'm craving comfort food but don't want to cook. I've been here enough times to appreciate the efficiency of this place. The setup: QR code ordering from your table, food arrives within 10 minutes (seriously, it's fast), and during off-peak hours you can sit wherever you want. I've never been here during peak hours, I'm guessing they assign seating during those times. My order is predictable - garlic pepper steak with an egg add-on every single time. It hits the spot. The steak comes out sizzling on the cast iron plate (hence the name) and that egg on top is exactly what you want it to be. They have seasonings and sauces at the table if you want to adjust things, which I appreciate. The space itself is nothing to write home about - clean, spacious, functional. You're here for a quick, satisfying meal, not the ambiance. Perfect for: When you want hot food fast without the fast food regret. This is comfort food that delivers exactly what it promises. Price: $20-25 per person Parking: Lot available but shared with City Sports Club and other businesses - can get tricky during peak hours Bottom line: Reliable, fast, and satisfying. Sometimes that's all you need.

Fast and delicious! It made me wonder how a takeout order would fare. Due to the crazy parking situation, I'd be down for a routine takeout visit if the crispness of the rice didn't become soggy. My Garlic Beef Pepper Rice needed some sauce to enhance the flavor, but it was downright delicious.

The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

Celebrated my bf's birthday here on a Thursday night. I read great reviews about this place, specifically the steak, so took the gamble and booked reservations. It is a Michelin recognized restaurant so had high expectations and wow were they exceeded ! We were running late and so gave a call to see if we can still be accommodated which was no issue at all or rush. Upon arrival we were greeted with a happy birthday and welcomed with a delicious, homey, & warm chicken broth to start our visit. Hostess then guided us to our table and on the walk you see the candy table and the beautiful open kitchen. Ambience is fine dining meets modern day with beautiful shades of blue with just enough dim lighting to make it intimate for your table. Volume decent enough to have conversation. When we sat there was already a birthday card and my bf was very happy and excited. It included a bday card with staff signatures and a $2 bill - it was so cute! Our server was Aaron who was outstanding. He had great suggestions without being pushy and was very honest on recommendations. He listened to our requests and guided us with a delicious meal based on our preferences. We also were not rushed during the whole dining experience - the timing between getting orders and checking in was perfect. We had enough time to finish each meal without scarfing ourselves or crowding our table with other food. & there was never a wait for service. This we really appreciated and found unique to our dining experience. Staff also were quick to provide refills. To the food ! We were given complimentary vegetable crudite - seasonal fresh cooled veggies and a flavor bomb of a dip ! Cream cheese, white miso, garlic, & other stuff. Who would've thought simple veggies can be yummy. Next our drinks came in and we had time to sip and look at the menu. Delicious schramsberg wine which is now my fave and apparently can get bottomless during their brunch buffett ! We ordered the trio of bread, all of which were delicious, but wow the rolls ! Soft, warm & fluffy. Then got the ravioli verde, ribeye, & pork fried rice. Originally wasn't going to get the fried rice but Aaron recommended it and I am so glad he did. I could've just ate that for my meal and been satisfied. It was savory, crispy & very flavorful. Italian American meets Asian flavors without being overwhelming. The ribeye medium rare cooked to perfection and perfectly paired with the "funky onions" & demi. We had everything on the side. Steak was a good quality and tasty steak, but with the onions and demi that's where it shined and separated itself from other high quality steaks. It was delicious with the rice. Ravioli was tasty as a pre-meal and glad I swapped to it bc we did order pretty heavy. Prob one of the best steaks we had. And we are steak eaters ! My bf tied it with his #1 steakhouse. Overall all the food was more than enough for the two of us to share. Then ofc ended our night with the table flambé sticky toffee pudding which was immaculate! I will say the caramel was either over cooked or too much alcohol bc there was a bitter taste towards the end. But the dulce de leche ice cream helped balance the bitterness. We also got a complimentary s'mores ice cream cake for the bday ! It was yummy, but too sweet with the marshmallow but again the chocolate and cherries created balance. 5/5 star review I am so looking forward to dining again. I definitely believe that they deserve a Michelin star if that's what they are aiming for. We do plan to try out their brunch buffet one day. Shout out to the whole staff for making this a memorable experience and a 10/10 birthday celebration! We will be back !

We started out with complimentary glasses of Prosecco and sparkling cider while we waited to be seated. There was a little delay in getting our table, but it wasn't really a problem because we were chatting and enjoying the drinks. Before we entered, they had a floral photo wall where we took a photo together to memorialize the experience. And when we sat at the table, they had placed a lovely Mother's Day card on the table signed by the staff. The decor at Be.Steak.A is modern and feels very upscale. I think the bathrooms say a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail, and the bathrooms at Be.Steak.A were elevated - essential oil infused salt scrub to wash your hands, bidets, etc. The brunch buffet is just as described - hot items and pastries in the kitchen (so cool), a caviar bar outside, a separate station for cold seafood, another station for fruit and charcuterie, and then assorted desserts on the bar. The food was excellent. We started with the caviar -- the options and accouterments were plentiful and delicious. The caviar bar was so fun and felt luxurious. This was one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. For the other seafood, we enjoyed oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and other little seafood dishes, which unfortunately weren't labeled, so we didn't always know what we were eating. My friend had some dietary restrictions she was concerned about, so that was a little frustrating for her. But my favorite bite of the entire day was one of those unmarked seafood dishes- I wish I could tell you what it was -I think it was possibly squid. But it was so fresh and flavorful. Yum! The hot food in the kitchen was a neat experience. They had skewers and prime rib and many other dishes to choose from. I kept coming back to the seafood skewers. We were a little bummed that the beef Wellington was just gone when we entered the kitchen. There was still about another hour and a half of brunch service left so that was a disappointment for us. They also had numerous pasties and this amazing bread pudding that I drizzled a Nutella sauce over and added some strawberries to. This was probably my third favorite bite of the day (after the little seafood dish and the caviar experience). I'd be remiss if I didn't give the truffled deviled eggs from the charcuterie area a shout out. These were so good we kept going back for more. The desserts were good but a number of them were a little dry, I have to say. Surprisingly, my favorite was a little passionfruit tart that had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a chocolate kinda gal but there weren't that many chocolate options, I have to say. A few other things- our server was lovely and gave us a lay of the land to start. She made sure we had any drinks we wanted and plenty of extra silverware. While there just aren't as many touch points with a server at a buffet, the interactions we did have were very positive. And even though I was disappointed that they ran out of the Beef Wellington, I was so impressed with how they kept replenishing and refilling the other dishes right up to the end of the buffet. This was an incredible dining experience. I'd highly recommend this brunch buffet experience for special occasions. I'm looking forward to dining here for dinner in the not so distant future!

Henry's remains one of the old-school steak houses I keep coming back to because consistency here…read moreis not marketing. It is culture. This visit, the Prime Rib was already sold out. At many restaurants, that would be a problem. At Henry's, it becomes a reason to test the rest of the grill. We ordered the Porterhouse and the Sirloin, both medium rare. The Porterhouse was solid: balanced seasoning, clean grill flavor, no unnecessary tricks. A lot of restaurants can do a good Porterhouse because the cut already has drama -- bone, fat, tenderness, presentation. But Sirloin is different. Sirloin exposes the kitchen. Especially that strip of fat running along the edge. If the grill work is careless, that fat becomes chewy, greasy, or wasted. Henry's handled it beautifully. The meat stayed true medium rare, while the fat edge was properly rendered, lightly charred, and full of beef aroma. That is real steakhouse skill. Medium rare lean meat plus properly rendered sirloin fat is not automatic. It takes timing, fire control, and experience. The baked potato was simple and correct. The salad was classic old-school steakhouse style. Dark beer still feels like the right companion here. Henry's is not trying to become trendy. It is not chasing presentation. People come here to eat steak, drink beer, and trust the kitchen. Prime Rib is still the ritual. But this visit proved something important: Henry's is not only a Prime Rib place. They know beef. - Dr. C Fire controlled. Fat rendered. Medium rare verified.

Our party had a gift card/printout that was originally purchased back in August 2025, but unfortunately we didn't have the gift card number or any documentation that could be used to track it down. Rather than simply telling us there was nothing she could do, Chris went above and beyond. She personally spoke with the purchaser, contacted the corporate office, researched the purchaser's email information, and diligently worked to locate the gift card details. What impressed us most was that Chris kept us informed throughout our lunch, providing updates and ensuring we knew she was actively working on the issue. Her persistence, professionalism, and commitment to helping her guests turned what could have been a frustrating situation into an exceptional customer experience. Thank you, Chris, for demonstrating what great hospitality looks like. Fleming's is fortunate to have a leader who genuinely cares about her guests and is willing to go the extra mile to make things right.

The diavola pasta had a great texture and a flavorful sauce, although it felt a little simple since there weren't many other ingredients mixed in. The crispy brussels sprouts weren't for me, not very crispy and a bit hard. The gelato was much better than I expected and ended up being a nice way to end the meal. The service was great though and the lighting inside nice! Overall, the meal was a bit hit-or-miss, but I'd come back to try more of the pizzas since those were definitely the highlight

We were originally a larger party, but a few friends fell out and we ended up with the final four. Tho I'm sure we made up with it in ordering. The bigger table came in handy. The server was very understanding. I was pescatarian at the time, so did not take part in all the meat offerings. But I've been to other locations and their steaks are usually pretty good. Their seafood is for a steakhouse. The sea bass was moist and slippery. The lobster bisque was creamy and decadent. One thing that's always consistent at Mastro's is their cocktails. I always get the grey goose martini and it never disappoints. Parking here is awful. I don't ever remember Valley Fair being this bad. Plus, now that you have to pay for parking, you'd think it would get better. Anyways, basically come early to give yourself enough time to find a spot. Good for a special occasion dinner since it can get pricey. REVIEW #4042
