For the Money this is one of the best. What a great little family owned greek sandwhich, pizza, dinners, seafood places around. Best deal is the $3.99 12" and $5.99 18" pizzas. I don't know if the chicken was bad or the marinera sauce was rancid but I could barely choke down more than two bites before I had to toss it. Stopped in here randomly for a bite to eat. Ordered super cheesey pizza and my friend had a sandwich and fries. The food was really good, a bit greasy but hey that's what were looking for that day! The prices are definitely decent! The portions are gigantic! We definitely couldn't eat everything (which is not necessarily a bad thing I guess). The service is really friendly! I really wanted to like this place.. Fast delivery and very polite and friendly driver. Ordered the super beef, it came with a nice toasted onion roll and a bunch of rare beef, but... that's it??? No sauce no cheese no mayo, no indication that it wouldn't and only a section to add extra? Greek salad was tasty, and chix fingers were good. I asked for buff and blue cheese which they added for no charge so that was nice of them. I'll def give them another shot and i guess will have to be more specific about when i order. read more

Boyfriend brought me here for roast beef as a break from Kelly's.... Boooooomb-a-lomb-a-ding-dong. So SO good. Sloppy and saucy just how I like it. Kelly's is great but if your sandwich doesn't come needing a diaper well you need a big old thing of sauce to add to it! Skampa's serves them saucy and it's amazing. Stay away from this place if you can. The lady here was so rude to this other customer cause the younger girl did not charge him for the Fries he asked for. She was like are you going to pay for the fries or are you stealing them. Who talks to the customer like that. I was discussed! Now I am at home running to the bathroom every 10 minutes or so. We were super hungry and tired from our trip so we decided to order out. The food was very disappointing. We ordered pizza, wings, fries and a salad. All the food was cold when it was delivered to us. You know how pizza usually tastes good when cold? Not this one. It was like eating cardboard. We order for delivery from Skampa a lot and have NEVER been less than blown away! The roast beef almost moos it's so fresh, and there's enough to easily make 4 separate sandwiches. Pizzas have a nice puffy crust and good chewy edge. The salads are wonderfu. Everything is just.... fantastic (including the price!) I really like this place. I've been going here for about two years, starting when I discovered they had $4 individual and $6 large pizzas! What kept me coming back was how nice they are - everyone is so friendly and helpful at Skampa. I've tried the roast beef sandwiches and they are really good, and I've had the healthy Skampa sandwich which is good, and on the healthier side. This has become our new "go-to" delivery place at the power plant down the street. We're not able to leave the property and so have to rely on delivery many times. We used to order from a place on Hampshire St. that was excellent if not a bit pricey, but it suddenly closed--just locked up shop (may have been tax issues or something) and so we deferred to Skampa. So far, we've been nothing short of delighted! I cant think of a single dish we've ordered so far that any of us have said we'd never get again. Most recently I tried the Chicken with Zit and spinach just for variety. The dinner was fantastic! A VERY generous portion--so much so that I ended up bringing half of it home at the end of my watch, and my wife LOVED it! The onion rings are the kind I like--not the "donuts, but the crinkly kind that hang like necklaces. A LITTLE on the greasy side, but it's fried and delivered--no time to let them rest and drain--it happens! The delivery is FAST, usually less than 15 minutes, and the prices are very good for what you get. The only drawback for us is that they're not open on Sundays and we're a round-the-clock operation. Probably not a bad thing, given my waistline. So far very pleased with Skampa and I give this review without reservation. read more

Great food, and really friendly guys at the counter. My only reason for 4 stars is that recently I called in an order for pick up. They told me it would be 10 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and there was no history of the order whatsoever. I showed the guy at the counter my phone log, with a call to them that lasted over a minute. He said his boss must have taken the call and forgotten to put in the order. I understand that stuff happens, and I used to work in a restaurant. I waited while they cooked my order, but they didn't offer me a discount or anything. Any restaurant I know of would have done that for a completely forgotten order. I have ordered Skampa numerous times and been fairly pleased. Nothing exceptional, but for the price, I was always happy with my experience. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was one of the worst I have ever had. I ordered three sandwiches and a calzone for myself and some friends and was told a delivery time of 12:50. 1 o' clock rolled around and we called to question how close our order was as it was beyond the estimated time. We were told 5-10 minutes and ended up waiting another 45 minutes. After our order finally arrived, we were angered to find only the three sandwiches and not the calzone. After calling to inquire, it took almost an entire hour longer to get our calzone. Nothing was wrong with the actual food, but how long it took and the way in which our complaints were handled was beyond unacceptable. read more

I live up the block from this place and come here all the time for the pizza. So I don't know what's with all the bad pizza reviews. I've always loved their pizza and I'm not shy to be honest about pizza it's what I know best. Eat it for breakfast, lunch, n dinner if I could. The fries are good most of the time. You can't beat the lunch specials though very good and 2 nights a week they have a pizza special for a large pizza for like $4.00. Can't beat that with a stick!! I lived in Cambridge for two years and unfortunately I only discovered Skampa two months before I moved. I ordered about 6 pizzas from them for a party because of all the good reviews it got here, and they were right on. The pizza was probably the best I've had in Cambridge, although Emma's is close.
