Best Chinese takeout/delivery place I've had. Good prices with nice portions

Totally average We ordered the Chicken (moo goo) It had very large pieces of broccoli adequate amounts of everything except snow peas which I love but the flavor was not there. Sorry, this place is a clone of almost every other Asian restaurant. Why do we have to get this so called duck sauce in a packet and panda sauce and totally bland soy sauce that you have to tear open and try to pretend it's real soy sauce. Your a restaurant, for Pete's sake, is it really that hard to make your own sauce. The sweet and sour was so thin, it had no flavor either. To top it off, the fortune cookie was so predictably bland and like every other fortune cookie you've ever had. I love almond cookies, if I had an Asian restaurant, with a kitchen, I'd make the most fantastic freaking cookie you ever ate., cause we made it today . Nuff said, ... I gave 3 stars because the service was great. They're eager to get the food out. But it was a disappointing experience. read more

I've been coming here for 10 years, have never been disappointed. I have to admit that I always order the Orange Chicken, which they advertise as a permanant "manager's special." It comes with egg roll and crab rangoon. It's a lot of food for the price and has always been to my liking. Others in my party have ordered other things, even customizing the order and have gotten what they wanted. Have never tried the delivery service. The service has always been fast. I usually watch them make my food. I don't care if it is Juan or Jose cooking (as one of the other reviewers complained), the food is good. Who says only someone born in China can make Chinese food? I ordered egg drop soup, egg rolls, chicken fried rice and sweet buns. I'm VERY picky about my fried rice and this was the best I've found in Arlington. All of the food was fresh and delicious. read more

Disgusting...chicken wings still had feathers on it and orange chicken was soggy. Had it delivered, will never eat there again.

For the money spent, I love Skillman. On my first order I got the PuPu Platter and their MuShu Pork. Not a fan of any of the appetizers. The fried wonton and the Crab Rangoon had no filling at all. The rest, eggroll included, tasted oddly smokey. Not a fan there. However, my entree was huge and pretty darned tasty, though if you are a fan of plum sauce (or any sauce really) you do need to order extra. The rest of the times I've gotten their free delivery, I've just gotten the MuShu pork, and tweaked it a bit with some extra mushrooms. The eggroll, while it will never be my favorite, was much better. Now, I really look forward to ordering, and actually find myself craving Skillman. You get a ton of food for the price, so I don't have to cook for two days, and mine's always arrived on time, and pipping hot. The person that answers when I call gets my order right each time, even with all of my extra sauces. Certainly going to order again. read more

We had delivery and it was quick and accurate. We ordered pork egg foo young, really good and the sauce was tasty. The almond chicken was good too. The best thing with our order was the orange chicken and crab Rangoon. We will for sure order again!! read more

I have the fortune of living 2 blocks from this place and it is my go to for Chinese takeout. Pu pu platter for 2 gives a generous portion of mixed appetizers and one entree is enough for 2 people to split twice! We usually share it for dinner and then split the leftovers for lunch the next day. The portions are huge and real bang for your buck! read more

Good Friday ... another Holiday Home Run! I called in for delivery and my order was delivered in about 15 minutes! Usually a 30 to 45 minute wait. Everything was piping hot, clearly prepared fresh to order, and was delicious. As usual, everything was at least 2x more than is really appropriate for a serving... so I have lunch and dinner for tomorrow as well! Love this place - they are always cheerful and happy to accommodate special requests/orders. And the quality is always top notch ... fresh, properly seasoned and expertly prepared. read more

The best Chinese food take out in my opinion in the Northside. Great prices, large servings and the food is always excellent. I reccomend Skillman Wok. Order the General Tso Chicken. read more

This place is a mixed bag, to me. Can be really good one night and mediocre the next. I don't know if the cooks change often or if they are more inspired at certain times. I've ordered here numerous times. The food is descent fast delivery service. A couple of times it hasn't been very fresh. I called to let them know that some of the vegetables were not fresh, the owner talked and tried to deny it. I wouldn't call if it wasn't. He sent me another. Very surprised on how great this place was! They were so busy the guy who delivered wasn't a delivery driver but went out of his way to make sure I got my food quick. The sweet and sour chicken was really good but my fiance's orange chicken is my favorite now. Will use again! read more

Based on the reviews I thought this was a good choice. First and foremost free delivery or not my order was placed at 7:41PM CST food was not delivered until 8:52PM CST, the restaurant is literally 5 minutes (walking distance) down the street. I ordered a dish minus bell pepper since I am allergic to them, when I opened the container to stir my food guess what I found...bell peppers. Called the restaurant to inform them of the issue, requested a different less costly dish which was delivered but no refund for the difference in what I paid for the first one which was more expensive. I've learned my lesson, never again I'll stick with Pei Wei and PF Changs. read more

My husband and I were in town for the America rodeo and decided to try this place out. The absolute best sesame chicken I have ever had. My husband ordered the beef fried rice and he enjoyed it as well. They give you more than plenty of food at great prices. read more

They offer subpar food. I ordered beef huan and the beef was 'soggy' for lack of a better word. I tried giving them another chance but they called after I placed my order and told me that I was too far away to deliver even though they'd already done that once already. I only live four miles away from the restaurant! These people will what... only deliver to a radius within three miles? Furthermore the person I talked to on the phone was quite rude, when I asked him if they had charged my card he just hung up. Never eating there again. read more

This is the worse Chinese restaurant. Delivery took an hour and half plus the food was not good, very bland. Folks, I'm easy to satisfy as long as I don't have to cook but Skillman Wok is awful! Bypass this restaurant. So bad! read more

Possibly one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. You get a lot for the price, especially if you do the carry out special.

The orange chicken was great! However, my cream cheese crab rangoons lacked crab and the rice was very bland with no eggs or veggies

Horrible service. Got my food delivery because I'm sick & was willing to wait an hr for it. Tipped the guy pretty good then realized they forgot my soup so I call & the lady says it wasn't on my order & I wasn't charged for it but I was & I had the email right in front of me. She says she needs to call the driver & she'll call me back but HALF AN HOUR goes by & I have to call her back!! Then she says it's gona be another half an hour til I get my soup but I could come pick it up. Um hello, I got delivery for a reason! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! She was not helpful at all, & I'm a pretty patient person because I'm a service industry person as well. Their food is great but don't let your order be wrong cause it'll be another hour before it's fixed. read more

Ordered 2 hours ago and food still has not reached me. Every time I call in I'm told sorry for the wait, and eventually I asked to be compensated and they said they'll take 2 dollars off my next order. Really bad customer service and will just chalk this up as a lose and never order from here again... I highly suggest for everyone else to do the same. read more
