Awesome views with expensive cocktails. The bar gets crowded very quickly at 4:10 pm the bar, which is somewhat small, was packed. We were lucky to find someone paying their check and leaving. The bar provides two small bowls of pesto flavored popcorn and mixed olives which they do not refill. However, I did not ask for a refill. There is no happy hour. I've eaten here last year and the food was very good. A couple steps down is the Jean-Georges bar and restaurant that opens at five. They is a restaurant there with a tasting menu. read more

That said, here's what I would tell any friend interested in going... - Get reservations. - The Crispy Salmon Sushi and Lychee Raspberry Bellini were standout dishes. After much persuasion and continuous praise from a friend, I came to JG SkyHigh restaurant for brunch. The menu is not that extensive so only had a few things to choose from. I decided that it's been some time since I last had French toast that I would give the brioche French toast a try. It comes with bacon and maple syrup (I gave my bacon to a friend)... the French toast was rather crunchy on the outside and extremely soft on the inside... Was kind of an odd combo. Wasn't the best French toast but it was cool with some strawberry jelly and the maple syrup. Our server Antoinette was super great and helpful! We must visit again and make sure to be seated in her section. Lol She suggested the mushroom encrusted salmon for one of my friends and it was amazing (yes, I had to sneak a piece)... I called to make reservations for 7 people as I am not allowed to make reservations online. They consider this to be a large party (which I do not). They said for this size party I must have a prefix menu and spend a minimum of $2000. This is unacceptable. I don't like it when a restaurant tells me what I have to order and how much to order. It seems they don't want larger parties and they give them a hard time by providing these nonsense rules. I looked at their restaurant and they have ample space to accommodate my party of 7. I made the reservation and they will get back to me if my terms are acceptable; which are: I would like to pick from the menus what ever I want and spend how much I want. What country do we live it if we can't eat and spend what we want: I will keep you posted if they allow me to bring my 90 year old mother for her birthday there or not. I have always wanted to go to this gorgeous restaurant! Located on the 46th floor of the 4 seasons, this is the restaurant to visit! The decor was out of this world and there are window everywhere! It's the best place to see the city from way above! Service is amazing and the menu was great but not very big. The octopus was smoked then grilled so it had a nice char. It was served with the most delicious purple potatoes. The rigatoni was good but the meatballs were pretty small. The warm grain mushroom salad was good but I expected more flavor in the mushrooms. The salted icecream sundae was tastey and a nice way to finish the meal. Overall incredible ambiance but I expected the food to be more exciting! I looked up the address right before going and it said it was closed. I tried to call and again they said they were closed. Thankfully when I arrived it was not closed. Need a unique spot for a date? Try a seat at JG Skyhigh. My partner have been eyeing this place since it opened. Sitting high on the 60th floor of the Four Seasons hotel, this venue is quite spectacular. The elevator ride itself transcends you to another side of Philly. It's pretty cool. And the venue itself, it feels as though you are dining in the sky. I would definitely recommend this for a cool experience to try in Philly. Okay, onto food and service. Upon arrival to our table, I was impressed by the front of the house placing an ottoman for my girlfriend's bag. That set the bar high, but unfortunately, the rest of the evening didn't live up to expectations. I will talk food, then service. For our evening, my partner and I decided on 2 small plates and 3 mains: Yellowfin Tuna Tartare: a refreshing bite. From my experience, this was a little outside of an "ordinary" tuna tartare due to the avocado base and ginger dressing. But nonetheless, can't go wrong with a tuna tartare. Wood Roasted Beets: for us, this one missed the mark in terms of balance. I might be wrong, but I believe cappers were used in addition to sprinkled kosher salt. The dish itself was a bit too salty. It took away from the richness of the beets. Maybe if the intent was to spread the purée into each bite, but for us, that was not intuitive. Whole Roasted Cauliflower: Great job. Cauliflower was roasted perfectly, couscous was seasoned well with bits of heat from the chili peppers, and the tahini/turmeric blend brought everything together quite nicely. Very solid dish. Pan Seared Salmon with Maitake Mushrooms: salmon was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms gave the dish a nice balanced texture. The chili-garlic emulsion was missing something. For me, it a little one note, aside it having a little bit of heat, sweetness, and tangy. I can't describe it. I wanted it to hit me more or compliment the fish more, so I found myself dipping the fish multiple times to get something close to a balanced and fulfilling sensation. Being a bit nit picky here, but I feel this should have been a different plate. I guess they were going for a "wow" factor with colors and the emulsion. However, with a plate this large, it had me wanting more out of it in terms of flavor, amount of food, and presentation. Shrimp and Mushroom Risotto: risotto was spot on. This dish was a favorite, aside it being on the salty side. Rich, creamy, and packed a lot of flavor from the seafood and mushroom. It was well balanced and would order again. Now service and overall thoughts. Going back to our first impression with the ottoman and being Jean Georges, I had slightly high expectations, however, things fell short throughout the dining experience. The first thing both my partner and I noticed were the serving plates and utensils. I'm really sorry, but it felt "cheap" to us, in particular, the bread knives, sharing plate, and dining mat. Heavier bread knives, thicker sharing plates, and maybe a table cloth would have been nice? Again, I feel so bad for saying this, but I wish this could be improved upon. It had an "Ikea" feeling. Next was slow food. Time between small plates and large plates was long enough for both of us to feel hungry. I wish I had a time stamp. Lastly, table service was not quite there. Crumbs and butter sticker were left on the table throughout the meal. In addition, nobody checked up on us after plates were served until after we completed the meal. I was quite surprised because first floor Vernick fish had me feeling like I was dining at a Michelin. This was the complete opposite. Overall, our dining experience was good. To be honest, I was expecting a little more being from Jean Georges. My partner and I wanted to test this before committing to his restaurant, but I'm not 100% sure anymore sadly. It really made our day very special and we absolutely enjoyed our meal Food 4.5/5: right off the bat, everything was very tasty and well made. Honestly, we were so impressed by JG Skyhigh, we knew the food was going to be great. After admiring the 360 views, we ordered the burrata and the truffle pizza. The reason I didn't give the food a 5/5 is because of the lack of vegetarian options. The food not only satisfied our hunger, but also tasted amazing. The toast that came with the burrata accompanied the cheese very well. We shared the truffle pizza and it was very favorable. You could literally smell the truffle while it's on the table Service 5/5: perfection. No other words. You are treated like royalty from the minute you walk in. I don't think I have ever gotten service this good from any restaurant in my entire life. They provided us with complimentary mimosas when we sat down as they knew we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary. Very quick and efficient service as well. There was a heavy overcast so we didn't get the great view out of the windows until late in the meal when it started to clear a little. But I got a good view in the glass elevators going up, and the space itself is lovely. The service was weak and inattentive; I had to raise my voice and call the waiter by name to get our cream refilled. And there was nothing wrong with the food, but it was not memorable enough to justify the high price. I ordered eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. "Make sure the English muffin is thoroughly toasted," I told the waiter. "I didn't come to the restaurant at the top of the Four Seasons to eat a raw English muffin." Wrong-o, it seems that I *did* come to the restaurant at the top of the Four Seasons to eat a raw English muffin. Also, eggs Benedict is supposed to have poached eggs. Gave Tetra Pizza a try as Detroit-style pizza is an underrated favorite of mine. Definitely recommend if you like thicker crust pizza. I tried their pepperoni pizza along with some spicy bbq wings. Both tasted great. The pepperoni was flavorful and cooked to great crispiness. The wings were fried hard and the sauce had a decent kick to compliment the sweetness. I ate here for my 3 year wedding anniversary and it was a delight experience for my celebration. The vibes are comfortable for dinning while keeping a trendy interior. The service was exceptional. The waiter knowledgeable about wine pairings and provided great service throughout our entire dinner. Also he was wearing a sharp suit. My favorite parts of the meal was the appetizer and dessert. The main dishes were fine. I ordered the calamari. The dish provided amazing flavor! Most restaurants over fry the calamari and rely on the dipping sauce to add flavor. Not at JG skyhigh! The calamari was decked in a ginger scallion sauce that pairs well with lime. The ginger wasn't harsh in flavor. It was very delicate and mild in flavor.I wonder if it was soaked in water over night. We ordered the salmon and sea bass and I felt like both dishes could have used a little more salt to bring out the flavors already present in the dish. The yuzu sauce under the salmon, wasn't giving the salmon additional flavor. It provided more flavor for the crispy tofu and veggies. The sesame crust on the salmon also wasn't aiding in flavor. My favorite part of the dish was the crispy tofu, because it was sprinkled with seaweed which added great umami flavor. The sauce for the seabass wasn't memorable. It seemed like a squash purée, but I'm not sure. The skin was lightly salted and lightly crispy. The carrots were a great soft texture! But again could have used a sprinkle of salt. The chocolate layer cake wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, even though I expected it to me. The cake itself was rich in chocolate flavor, slightly bringing out the bitters in chocolate. The marshmallow frosting isn't really frosting. It's just toasted marshmallow and was the sweetest part of the cake. The waiter added a chocolate happy anniversary on top of the cake which I thought was nice! JG Skyhigh is beautiful to celebrate a special occasion. Best hot pot I've had! $39.95 per person, there was a 90 minutes time limit (it was plenty of time. the time starts when you place your order on the tablet). You place your order on an tablet, which was really easy. The waiter will bring you the sauce selection. Everything was freshly made, great quality, and great quantity. There was a conveyor belt with sushi (2 pieces), sashimi, and edamame that you can have as much of as you want, but you can also order sushi (4 pieces). I love the ambiance of this place. The whole journey is an experience from the moment you get on the elevator to go up to the bar. You'll get great views in the elevator of the area. Once you're upstairs you can opt to get a sit-down table to dine or simply approach the bar for a decadent cocktail. I have visited twice and have been able to experience both the table service and the bar. The dining and bar teams are awesome. Went to celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary. Opted not to eat at the actual Jean-Georges restaurant for the tasting menu since we just returned from a family vacation 3 days prior and couldn't justify the spend. (Although, the SkyHigh is not cheap either by any means). The SkyHigh is actually very elegant with a great atmosphere. Beautiful place from the second you step out of the elevator and into the restaurant. Each employee that stopped at our table, either to seat us, fill our waters, take our orders, or to serve our meals were extremely kind, above & beyond friendly & they each greeted us a Happy Anniversary. (I put a note in when I made reservation). The wagyu cheesesteak egg rolls and bacon wrapped shrimp came out fairly quickly after ordering. Appetizers were very good, but you definitely need to order one per person if you both enjoy eating. It was one egg roll cut in half and 3 pieces of shrimp. My husband ordered pasta for his meal in hopes it would fill him up, but I ended up giving him the 2nd piece of my chicken because he was still hungry. Both dishes were tasty, but not mind-blowing. I felt portions were appropriate for one person, but my husband came from work and was pretty hungry. The dessert was the most impressive dish - an almond cake with apricot sorbet and compote. The flavors made our taste buds smile! The piece of chocolate with "Happy Anniversary " on it was a much appreciated touch. Although we had wine with our dinner, we also each received a complimentary glass of champagne for our celebration, which again, was much appreciated and an unexpected sweet surprise! There was live music, I think coming from the "main restaurant" which we enjoyed. Music was not too loud that we could still hear our conversation easily. Side note: After dinner, I stopped at the restroom- two stalls and one was out of service. Me and another lady were waiting & when the women came out of the stall she informed us she used the last of the toilet paper. The person ahead of me took some Kleenex from the counter to use. While I waited, I informed the hostess that the toilet paper was out. Nobody immediately came so I also took Kleenex from the counter. Next woman in line, I told her to do the same. Nobody went in to restock. My husband and I took some pictures by the gorgeous decorations which took a little time, but nobody still went in to restock. It was overall a nice evening. The JG SkyHigh lounge is located on the 60th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. Getting there is fun riding the glass elevator. The room offers a 360 degree view of the city. We were there during the day and I am sure it is stunning at sunset. We enjoyed a few glasses of wine and the view. Food is also available as well as a fine dining restaurant on the floor below by taking the waterfall staircase. The photos taken thru the windows do not represent the clear view as there is some sort of material in the glass. I'm still unsure if I think it's totally worth it, but it's an experience nonetheless. 360 views of the city and a sleek interior is right on par with what I expect from the 4 seasons and Jean Georges. Drinks- The gin cocktail was well made and interesting Starters- Crispy Sea trout , Calamari, and Margherita Pizza. The sushi is a must-get, fresh fish and a nice crispy rice. The calamari was just ok, the batter was lacking flavor and the foam aioli had no body and so it didn't really help. The pizza was pretty tasty although small Entrees - Mushroom crusted salmon and Burger. Both were delicious, I wish the salmon had a bit more pizzaz, but the cook was perfect. This is the place to catch a stellar sunset and some drinks! Came here on a weekend night for a little night cap and was taken away by ambiance. Located at the tippy top of the new Comcast tower, they made great use of the position with large windows, open concept dining, and a upscale but inviting inside motif. We had made reservations but for the date and time we arrived, the place pretty open for seating. They have a coat check upon entering the space and the maître d' was great on getting us seated and introducing us to our waitress. The drinks here were pretty solid and though we didn't dine here, definitely had some veggie friendly small plates that I'd be keen on trying next time we come back. The view is unmatched, the front of the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays and while we were there, there were members of the Philadelphia orchestra playing a private party below us. The service was slow, the drinks were okay, and the food was middling. -My husband and I had Manhattans. They were good but very small, especially for the price. -I got the burratta appetizer, and while it was mostly good, one of my pieces of toast was burnt, and they put it burnt side down like I wouldn't notice. -The sea trout sushi was delicious and I don't even like fish. -we split the ribeye for two. They brought us the whole steak to show us what it looked like, then brought it back, cut up 10 mins later, and cold. Because my husband can't eat dairy, we asked them to omit the butter. The butter must have been the only seasoning (aside tlfrommthe God awful tamarind sauce that tasted like sour barbecue sauce) on their normal order because the steak was bland. It came with fried potatoes that tasted like they didn't season them AT ALL and creamed spinach, which was actually very good. -The apple pie dessert was very good, but they didn't bring my coffee until I almost finished it despite the fact that I ordered them together. I was worried I missed my chance to try JG Skyhigh when I heard it closed due to the pandemic. I was so glad to recently discover it had reopened and quickly booked a birthday celebration for a friend here. You enter through the Four Seasons hotel and take a glass elevator to the 60th floor. The ride up can be a bit scary! When I left the elevator and walked into JG Skyhigh I was immediately taken aback by the beauty of the place. Floor to ceiling windows all around, giving an amazing view of the city. Elegant design of the bar & lounge area, with angled mirrors on the ceiling. I ended up having a leisurely 2.5 hour dinner here. I started with their signature drink, the ginger margarita. The best margarita I've ever tasted. Shared appetizers where the wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls and the the lightly fried hopper shrimp. The eggroll was not as meaty as I would have liked, but you still can't go wrong with juicy wagyu beef. The shrimp was the better dish. Thick delectable shrimp that I wished I didn't have to share. If you like shrimp this is the appetizer you must try. My entree was the bacon cheeseburger. It looked to be overcooked but once I bit into it the juice started running out on to my plate. That's how a burger is supposed to be! The bacon to cheese to beef ratio was just right. Nice sesame seed bun. The pickles were a little bit too strong, which is my only criticism. But it was right up there with the best burgers in the city. It came with french fries, but they were simply average. I tried the birthday girl's beef tenderloin as well. A perfectly cooked, tender and juicy slice of beef. Dessert was chocolate cake and ice cream. The cake has a unique marshmallow icing. It was delicious. The ice cream was surprisingly bland though. But the cake itself was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Service was impeccable, from the hosts to the waiter. We were never made to feel like we had to rush even though we spent so much time there. There is plenty of space to walk around and check out the views and we took advantage of that. JG Skyhigh is very expensive, but not as expensive as the main Jean-Georges restaurant. You are paying not just for the food but the overall experience. I'll definitely be back! read more

Came here for my birthday dinner after waiting a month for the reservation. I'm pretty disappointed with the food. Cheesesteak roll - best part was the sauce, acidic but sweet was a WOW for me. The cheesesteak roll itself was good. The beef tenderloin for $51 was the worst part of the whole meal and it was the main entree. I asked for medium well and you can see what happened in the pictures. It was not appealing at all, I had to hand it over to someone else to eat, I wanted to throw up. The cut itself is also very poor. It's too chewy and combined with the rawness of the meat it really wasn't edible for me. The spicy sauce reminded me of red hot spicy sauce, I'm just really confused with the plate honestly. Best part of this was the potatoes that's it. Hopper shrimp another huge disappointment. The sauce was extremely weird and tasted like wet paper, made your tongue dry. I had my partner taste this as well and he agreed it was just weird and not edible. I gave this sauce several attempts, I ended up eating the shrimp itself. Now here comes the really insulting part with the flour batter with the shrimp, horribly cheap, and just awful you could get from the grocery store and do it yourself. Really disappointing. The shrimp itself were meaty shrimps but overall just a rip off dish for the price I paid. I left feeling really ripped off for paying $256.15 for this meal. It really wasn't worth it. Nor was the wait for the reservation. Probably won't come back here. read more

The Holy Grail of Philadelphia when it comes to high class, bomb drinks, and being surrounded by the filthy rich. Heck, I loved it. Even though I started the day in a dive bar I ended it with thee most sofisticated, most ambiant environment I have been in for quite some time. From the elevators that simply beam you up like a ride from an amusement part that are guarded by the gate keepers. I mean you just have to come here I don't want to unvirgin you from the experience it is that special. Make a date and come here early as it gets packed. I came here at around 4pm and it was getting to capacity on a Sunday. For special occasions. I can't wait to come back here for food but alast I am single and will save this spot until I meet a good girl who hopefully is worthly of this heavenly experience. read more
