Finding free or street parking to the venue was a little challenging, but there is a public parking lot which you can pay in increments of 2 or 4 hours. If you do it through the machine, you'd have to leave the permit on the dashboard. You can also download an app to pay that way or to keep track of the timer for your vehicle. As for dining in the restaurant, unfortunately, The restaurant area was still in renovation when I was dining there, but they were opening up that part of the restaurant the next day. I barely missed it. I do however look forward to coming back here with friends. The drinks were delicious, but we were most satisfied with the shareable appetizers. We didnt have much of an appetite and really wanted to come for the experience, but the food was satisfactory. The portions were fair for the price. You can even order some drinks outside from what the menu offered as long as the bartender knows how to make it and they have the ingredients for the drink. Yusef was our server and he was very attentive to all our needs. I have been wanting to dine here for some time... I made reservations online for 3; the day of the reservation, the other 2 in my party arrived on time but I was about 5 minutes late because I was looking for parking but when I made it inside I was alerted that the restaurant was running behind, which wasn't a problem because I was able to take in the beautiful view of the city from the restaurant lobby while waiting - our wait (from the time I arrived was less than 10 minutes). We were seated in the main dining area and our waitress came to our table less than 5 minutes after we were seated; me and another person in my party ordered the salmon, which came with mashed potatoes and broccolini and the other person in my party ordered a salad (I think it was a kale salad) and a spinach pizza (there was something else on the pizza that I can't recall). It didn't take our entrees long to come out and we all enjoyed our food - so much that we all cleaned our plates; the portion sizes were perfect. We also ordered dessert - the chocolate cake, which was served with a scoop of ice cream, that was delicious too (we all ordered the same dessert). I don't recall the reason why but oddly, 2 of the desserts came out at the same time and the 3rd seemed to take about 20 minutes - we cleaned our dessert plates too. Because of the delay on the 3rd dessert, we were comped on all 3 - nit expected but appreciated as the ice cream started to melt a little for the 2 of us that waited. Overall, I definitely recommend this place - it is definitely a gem in the city: the crowd was good, the atmosphere of the restaurant is casually upscale, the service was pretty good as well as the food. Honestly, the ambiance here is amazing, there's no doubt about it. You can totally dress up or down and not feel out of place because you see many people on dates as well as guests from the Four Seasons having dinner here. But... this place can be a hit or miss when it comes to the food. I have been here a few times for drinks which were always great, but my last experience having dinner was subpar. The food just isn't worth the $$$. I feel like if you have to spend $300-$400 for one night's dinner, then it better be worth it. Even the presentation was so bad to be honest, I always am enthusiastic about taking food pictures and I just couldn't make it look edible! When I heard Jean-Georges was bringing his culinary excellence from NYC to Philadelphia I knew it was a must-visit for me. OMG. The location of this restaurant is gorgeous. Architecture is everything to me and whoever engineered this building is a genius. It is only fitting that JG would have his restaurant here surrounded by glass and the skyline. Every step that you take closer to the bar makes you feel super glamorous. Food is good but nothing spectacular so 5 stars for location but 4 stars for food. Had the pulpo, endive salad, pizza, and sushi. We had such a romantic and fun night celebrating our anniversary at JG SkyHigh. We purposely booked a reservation around 5:45pm so we could potentially grab a spot by the window (since they open at 5:30pm) and also be able to dine in and see both the daylight and also sunset/night view. This lounge is located on the 59th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. You enter through the hotel and take the elevator up. If you're scared of heights like my partner, it might be a bit intimidating, but if you're not, the elevator ride offers a nice view of Philly with the glass panels. As soon as you get off the elevator, you'll soon be amazed by the interior of the place. I absolutely love the modern & classy look of the lounge. The escalator located in the middle of this lounge takes you down to an actual JG restaurant that offers multiple course tasting menus. At JG SkyHigh even though it's a lounge, we enjoyed the dishes we got. We had: - chargrilled squid with potato - black truffle and fontino pizza - shrimp and mushroom risotto Everything was so delicious and was above my expectations. My partner loved the pizza and I love the risotto dish. The pizza crust is exactly how we like it - chewy and soft. The risotto dish is so flavorful. I love the umami taste. The waiter was super friendly and even brought out a complementary chocolate cake at the end for our anniversary. It was such a sweet gesture. The chocolate cake was also amazing! Instead of icing - they used toasted marshmallows. What a perfect way to end the meal. We also dined in on the day Phillies won the game that advanced them to the World Series. They had the game up while we were there. I guess if you're looking for a classy place to watch sports game this is your place! Tip: they open their reservation one month in advance. The view was amazing and so was the setting of the interior. Service: 3/5 It was okay, kind of disappointed for fine dining. Coats were not taken when we arrived and had to go back after we were seated at our table to hand them our coats. Our waitress was barely there to check on us. We also had a birthday cake that we were planning to cut after our meal, but we were told that there is a charge of $10 per person to cut the cake. We also had told the receptionist during check-in that there was a cake, but we were only told of the fee once we finished our meal. I am aware that there are charges for bottles since there is a liquor license but this was the first time I heard of a cake-cutting fee. It did not feel like there was anything special during the visit. I know not all restaurants offer birthday deals, but it never hurts to make the guest feel special during their visit Food: We came here for lunch since that was the only reservation available. Service was great! Every staff member was amazing. My friend and I got seated with no reservation on a Saturday night. We ordered broccoli dip, it should be called broccoli hummus. It was like hummus and cold but I thought it would be warm and cheesy like crab dip or spinach dip. The views are gorgeous and I think they're worth paying for. The quality of the food was also stellar and the expansive drink menu was impressive. I enjoyed my time there but thought service at the check-in area left much to be desired. For starters, the woman who greeted me was cold and snobby about my not having a reservation, despite it being 2pm on a Tuesday, hardly peak time. There was plenty of space at the window to enjoy the great view, but she not only passed on my request to another woman - didn't say goodbye, just left me - but the other woman insisted on my sitting next to a family from abroad who were taking a FaceTime call on speakerphone. Not cool. I asked the waiter to be reseated and was put in a much better spot, but come on - the place was 70% empty. No need for this kind of snobbery! The truffle pizza was delicious and the mockail I ordered was great as well. Yeah this restaurant is an example of a restaurant with great views done right. If you've seen my previous review of The Grandview in San Jose, you know I think restaurants with a view are overrated. Apps: Caviar sandwiches were super savory and tasty, and the truffle pizza was phenomenal: comparable to fancy Italian restaurants I've been to. Mains: Steak was nice and tender, so was the chicken. My pasta was hearty and truly hit the spot. Dessert: The dessert here is not to be underestimated. It's arguably better than the mains tbh. Really tasty cookies and cakes. Highly recommended. Fantastic service. Our waiter, whose name evades me right now, was probably the best waiter I had during my east coast trip. He was fun, witty, and super friendly throughout the meal. Also, he noticed that my brother's steak was a little overdone, and took the initiative to approach us and offer a new steak. Very attentive and overall remarkable service. The prices here were surprisingly fair. I was expecting something exorbitant given that we were on the 60th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel, but the prices are in line with other mid-range restaurants that I've been to. $20-$30 for a main, that's like eating out at Downtown Campbell or any Italian restaurant in the Bay. I don't need to write about the views. That's not what I'm into, but I'll admit that they were pretty nice. You are eating on the 60th floor of a skyscraper after all. I visited SkyHigh with a friend who was taking me out for a birthday dinner. We were both running late for our weeknight reservation, and the front desk was very accommodating towards us. The gorgeous city view was the first thing to catch my attention when I arrived. The ceiling and walls are made up of many clear glass windows to experience a great view from the 60th floor. The ambiance within the restaurant is also very elegant. Like many rooftop lounges, the menu is pretty limited. Our server gave us some helpful input before we ordered our food. My friend and I ordered a fancy ginger ale since neither of us drink. We ordered two flatbreads and an entree to share. The Tomato, Mozzarella, and Basil flatbread was pretty average compared to others I've had. The Honeynut Squash and Three Cheeses flatbread was more unique. I was skeptical of the squash being shredded on top of the flatbread, but both of us really enjoyed it. We both found our main entree of Fried Chicken disappointing. Both the breading and meat of the chicken lacked major flavor. The breading also didn't stick to the chicken well. The wild rice also lacked much flavor at all. The Habenero Hot Sauce Butter was delicious and helped save the bland parts of the meal. I had a great experience here, mostly due to the venue and ambiance. Food was just OK, and service was very slow and inconsistent for a restaurant of SkyHigh's caliber. All I can say is that this place is pure MAGIC. Stopped in TWICE on our trip to Philly because the drinks and the views were just spectacular. We came in both times at night and sat at the bar. We were lucky enough to have Johnny as our bartender; he was just a gem! He suggested some items from the menu and even created some crafty new cocktails for us. Delicious; thank you, Johnny! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a little exclusive fun where the cost of entry keeps the riff and the raff firmly at bay but I have to laugh at the absurdity of the price points here and the snobber baron attitude of the staff - it all seemed beyond absurd. A great place for a date night out, a dinner with colleagues, or even a drink and meal by yourself with those amazing views to accompany you. I love the Black Truffle Pizza, Shrimp and Mushroom Risotto, and the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. They have a great Brioche French Toast to satisfy your sweet tooth as well. Service is impeccable. Wow. Highest point in Philly and I've never seen such a sight! Located in the Comcast/four season building this is the ultimate place to bring a tourist. The elevators are made of glass so you see such a cool view of the city. The bar is a bit tiny but it has a great view of the buildings. There is also a mirror on the top so you can see yourself at the bar, other guests, and that amazing view. The bartenders were super nice. This confused me, since we had a reservation and the tables were empty. So hotel guests have first dibs on every table and reservations aren't recognized? They'd rather have empty tables than seat people with reservations? Interesting. We were about to leave when someone else told us that actually, they switched the tables around, and we can sit by the window. Ok... great! We ordered a salad to share and two entrees at 12:30pm. Thirty minutes later, our salad came. We thought that took a very long time but figured that they'd bring out the salad and entrees at the same time, like we saw from another table. But after 50 MINUTES of waiting, we just decided to leave. We saw two other tables with more guests who arrived after us receive their food yet we did not. I've been here two times before, both with white friends, and was not treated this way. The only difference this time is that we were both black, and the other guests who got served were not. In Philadelphia on a long weekend and stayed at the Four Seasons, which is amazing. To top it off, literally, we ate at Sky High, the restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that offers amazing views of Philadelphia. The staff were extremely friendly, from the hosts to the servers, and really made what could have been a really pretentious environment feel comfortable. A relatively quiet atmosphere as the tables are perfectly separated from the other diners. The high ceilings reducing the reflection of the conversational noise back into the room. Cloth surfaces on the oversized chairs absorbing additional noises. Overall a well designed setting for conversing with normal voices. Food selection in the Sky High restaurant was well selected. All were satisfied with their selections except one-me. Food pricing was high/fair considering the overall experience. Wines/cocktails slightly higher than even highest prices in CC. The only disappointment concerned table service. Our dinner service took three hours with extremely long waits between courses. That's not dining, it's poor kitchen timing or understaffing. Our table service included a lack of staff attention especially by our server who was not available or out of sight most of the time. He couldn't address our needs or questions by not visiting frequently. I had to ask three staffers for the same missing item. By the time it came my food was cold. My $27 hamburger was small, not cooked to order with wilted lettuce. It even looked unappetizing. The fries were terrific. The other diners were happy with their fried chicken choices. I thought the tablespoon of vegetable under the chicken stack was silly. Overall, my food and the complete food service didn't come up to expectations when compared to the exceptional ambience and comfort. The question is always- will we return? Not sure.
