Food was pretty good. Service was great. I'd like it if they had more of a "breakfast potato" selection but I still enjoyed my plate.

I'm a fan of Sleepy Bee; however, the only reason I am giving it three stars (which is okay in my book) is due to the fact of price. For what you are paying, I want to walk away completely full. However, in the past two times I have been to Sleepy Bee, I have still been hungry. One of the times, I stopped on the way home to get more food - and the other, I raided my cabinets once I got home. I asked my friend about that too, as he was joining me for breakfast - and he said he felt the same. He stopped and got food after he left. I'm glad it wasn't just me! I got a to-go order from there, just because I was by myself one of the times I went. I would not recommend getting one, as it just got cold by the time I drove the 15 minutes home. I sat at the bar and waited for the to-go order for 5-10 minutes. I ended up ordering some chai tea while waiting; however, if I had to do it over, I would have just eaten the order at the bar (or sat at the bar to eat by myself). There are tons of people there, so no need to feel like you are eating alone! I was able to strike up a conversation with a guy sitting next to me. Know that there will be a wait at Sleepy Bee. Overall, it's a great place to brunch and a super cute restaurant with lots of hot and cold drink choices, as well as baked goods and breakfast items. read more

Best restaurant that I found while visiting for work. The waitress was super sweet and chill and recommended the sweet potato curry soup. It was fantastic! The food is equally delicious and healthy. Service was super fast, and I didn't even have to ask for the bill... the waitress must have been able to tell I was on my way to the airport. It was much appreciated! I didn't get to try the coffee or cappuccinos, but they sounded fantastic! I would eat here everyday the next time I am in town. Get there a little early in order to find a parking spot. read more

This place was recommended to by a friend and it's such a cute breakfast place. Everything is bee themed and it's a very inviting place. I also loved the menu for all the vegetarian/vegan options. There was a lot of variety. I had the Avi Tofu Scramble with potatoes which was amazing. I loved the taste of the tofu since it was so flavorful. I love the idea of Sleepy Bee Cafe. It's such a beautiful facility and I love the idea behind local food served in creative dishes. Plus, the logo is completely adorable. The wait was about an hour around 12:00pm on a Sunday, which is to be expected after church. However, it took 10 minutes to get my order of grapefruit juice and another 30 minutes to receive our food which was a little disappointing. I really enjoyed the beekeeper sandwich, the flavors went very well together, plus the addition of the breakfast potatoes (red skinned potatoes with a garlic sauce) was on point! However, I was very underwhelmed with the beef burger. The bread came out soggy and almost collapsing under the weight of all the (yummy) toppings, but this made it very difficult to eat. However, it must be said that the goat cheese with herbs on a burger is everything, ever, ever, ever. The last disappointing thing was the wait to receive our bill. I understand the business of a Sunday brunch time. It was busy and crowded, but I saw and smiled at our waitress 4 times as she walked past our empty table before having to finally hand her our credit card, prior to receiving the bill, so we could pay and head home. All in all, this place is OK, and I would give it another chance for sure, most likely not at peak Sunday brunch time. read more

It was cool to experience goetta here - I ordered the Queen City Bee (sandwich with goetta, egg, apple slices, etc.) and I enjoyed it. Our server was super friendly and great. I tried the vanilla ginger kombucha mimosa (loved that) and I really love kombucha, so I was really happy with that. The downfall is that I asked for fruit and the fruit was an orange slice, some blueberries, and rotten grapes. They were all bad - I couldn't eat them. It really just made me wonder what's going on in their kitchen that they're serving brown, squishy grapes instead of fresh fruit. read more

I would recommend the blue Ash café over the other locations due to the traffic. We did not have to wait for a table at this location, which makes it worth the drive to me. Our waiter was very attentive, and did not give me a funny look when I ordered a water, a mimosa, and a coffee haha. Do not let the quiet patio fool you. Inside Sleepy Bee is a large area buzzing with activity. At 9:30am, on a Sunday, there was already a short wait. I bypassed the wait, by snagging an open spot at the coffee bar. Not long after I did, the other remaining spots were snatched up as well. I am glad I sat at the bar. It allowed me to see first hand the quality ingredients that go into Sleepy Bee's drinks. This made me feel really good about the ingredients that would be going into the food. It was a hard decision. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Nutty Cakes. Chocolate chip pancakes topped with sliced bananas and natural peanut butter. The natural peanut butter helps balance the sweetness of the Ohio maple syrup. Customers have a choice between gluten free or buttermilk pancakes. I opted for the buttermilk. I also opted for the stack of three. Fluffy yet filling. I was unable to finish my order. The leftovers became a late lunch. Only getting about 1/3 of a banana was a little disappointing. Especially with how big the pancakes are. Proportionately there just wasn't enough banana to go around. As curious as I am about some of their egg dishes, I will probably get another variation of the buttermilk pancakes on my next visit. read more

If I could start off my morning with the piggy pancakes from Sleepy Bee I would. Bacon in pancakes, yes please. My typical order with a side off eggs and you guessed it;bacon! Too much bacon, said no one ever. A cappuccino is to sip on while eating is a must and a great compliment to the wonderful meal. Not in the mood for coffee, grab a mimosa or whatever drink that will tickle your taste buds. On the rare occasion that I don't want breakfast food. I opt to get one of their sandwiches. My favorite is the blue ash smash with a side of fruit and extra beekeeper sauce on the side. The environment is always buzzing and the staff are always courteous and friendly. So yummy as a breakfast aficionado, this place is whats poppin lol! Love the new location in Blue Ash. Definitely bigger than the oakley location. My go to on the menu is of course the Piggy Cakes. Can never go wrong with bacon and pancakes all in one! The cakes are so huge too. Definitely cant eat them all even though i will try. I lovw that everuthing is all natural here. Be ye warned...this place is popular so on the weekend its tough to get in. They use the app "No Wait" and you can see how the wait is, put your name in for a table and see when its your turn. We had a great brunch this morning. Got there about 830am on a Saturday and there was no wait. I really loved the Greek Bee - especially because I'd never through to make an omelette with chicken, olives and spinach. I usually don't like chicken as a topping but they did prepared it very well. I also liked that it was egg whites only. The roasted potatoes, toast, butter and jam were very good too. My husband enjoyed the avii omelette also. We both thought the coffee was high quality as well. The bee cookie was okay but probably won't try it again. I'd like to try more of their coffee options and definitely other breakfast plates in the future. The parking lot is pretty big but definitely gets crowded and hard to navigate by even nine am. read more

I had been wanting to try Sleepy Bee for some time. I love coffee, and so I'm always down to try new cafes. After my husband and I had went out for our anniversary dinner, he suggested we go here because he knew I would enjoy it. I ordered a hazelnut latte with oat milk, and my husband decide on earl grey tea. We both enjoyed our drinks, but he felt his was a little pricey, and I can agree. It was about $5 for his drink, which seemed a little steep for it. However, it was really high quality tea. My drink was probably one of my favorite lattes I've had. It was really creamy and just all around delicious. My reason for 4 stars is that we ordered a slice of pumpkin bread, and it was teeny. It was still $3.50 though, and in my opinion, that was way too much for. It also over 15 minutes for the piece of bread to come out, and they weren't super busy. I had a really nice experience here other than the bread. I definitely plan to come back at some point. And bonus points - it's really cute on the inside with the bee themed decorations. read more
