Despite having to wait 45 minutes for a table, this is a great breakfast spot. Their soda machine was also broken, so I had an apple juice. I ordered the basic breakfast and then split the chocolate banana peanut butter pancakes with my friend. Service was very friendly, and food was very tasty. Portions could've been a little bigger. Regardless, great spot!

    Cappuccino with maple syrup

Food was okay, service was very dry and seemed like I was a pest. Price was great. The cappuccino (Milligan's maple) was the best thing about this place. I had the chorizo scramble: two eggs scrambled with chorizo, red pepper, onion, white cheddar, topped with smoky salsa and chive crema, side of smashed potato's, and toast. Parking was okay, but we did go pretty early.

Picture worthy coffee. Very cute little breakfast spot. Food is okay, needed hot sauce, pepper and salt. LOL maybe it's just me..

Stopped in for breakfast based on yelp reviews. They did not disappoint. A very local restaurant with a number of regular customers from what it appears. I would be too if i lived here. Great service and very friendly staff. The bathrooms could use an upgrade however. Loved the food, coffee and the vibesc

I thought this would be a great place to start off the morning with brunch and was disappointed. I got a salad that was $15. I was told by the waitress it was huge and it wasn't. It was regular schmegular. The goetta and scrambled eggs were mehhh. The only thing that I had that was good was the crispy bacon. Overall, the atmosphere was great but I don't think I'll be coming back. Our waitress was all over the place (older lady but nice). The service wasn't that good and 2 of my coworkers said the same thing.

This was a cute little cafe we went to for brunch! It was right after Christmas so the wait was a little long but it's a pretty big space! We had 4 people but were sat at a 6 top. The grilled cheese was good but a little dry, I used the salad dressing to dip it. The Greek omelet was delicious and has great flavor

Worker bee breakfast and breakfast burrito

Stoped by to try this place out. By the looks outside it looked like it was a small place but once finding the entrance it was much bigger than expected. We both did breakfast I had the worker bee with a pancake and goetta. My wife had the breakfast burrito. I liked the pancake and the goetta was good since it was from a butcher shop and not geilers. My wife thought the burrito was mostly the tortilla and had a plain taste even with the sauces. I tried it and agreed with her. The service was spotty. Not once were we asked for a refill. Our server was busy talking. The sandwiches looked good so we may try those next time.

It looks worse in person. Black on both sides. Ordered butter milk pancakes with blueberries and bananas. No such fruit included.

Epic failure. We've eaten at sleepy bee a lot over the years. We decided to treat ourselves to the additional expense of DoorDash and sleepy bee and ordered 2 carryout pancakes with blueberries and bananas. We received one partially raw pancake with a few sad strawberries. (We have strawberry allergies in our family). And one pancake that was black on both sides. Would the cook serve those to anyone they knew? Where was the oversight in the kitchen? Why did these leave ahead kitchen? Do the staff think if it's carryout or doordash we won't notice?

The Queen City Bee with Pasture Raised Sausage and Roasted Red Skin Potatoes

Sleepy Bee has always been a solid choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I came here after a workout class with friends and had The Queen City Bee. The sweet and savory taste of the sandwich is delicious and the milk bun ties the ingredients together nicely. Our server was very helpful when we were deciding on our sides. The interior is decorated with bee merchandise with a lot of information about how important bees are for our ecosystem and food supply. The local farms and vendors were listed, as well. I liked knowing I was supporting local farms and businesses with my meal. My meal was an incredible way to start my day. I've always liked Sleepy Bee but admire them even more after learning about their dedication for giving back to our environment and saving the bees.

    Cold

We went to Sleepy Bee today and had a very disappointing experience. All of the food arrived cold, and when we informed the server, they confirmed that the food was indeed cold. We barely touched any of the meals because they were not enjoyable to eat. Despite this, no solution was offered -- no remake, no discount, no apology beyond acknowledging the issue. Since we had already drank our coffee, we ended up paying the full bill anyway. This felt very unfair and unprofessional. I normally understand that mistakes can happen, but the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing.

Chorizo scramble, Apple Spice Pancakes, Broakley

I went to the College Hill Sleepy Bee a couple years ago and remember the options being a bit trendy. Today I came and was ready for a savory brunch. Sleepy Bee is perfect for brunches, they've got plenty of options from sandwiches to scrambles to pancakes and sides including potatoes and such. I got the Chorizo Scramble this time. I was a little concerned that the chorizo would be spicy (as a spice sensitive person) but it was perfect and our server put the salsa on the side. The toast paired great with it. I got the red skin potatoes and the gravy was a little sweet for me. The Apple Spice Pancakes (specialty/seasonal) were delightful with crunch in the apples and seeds, but sweetness and fluffiness in the pancake and spices. I fully enjoyed the meal and service was great. I had an entire meal from my leftovers as well. My boyfriend would also like to see the sweet potato pancakes come back, says they were phenomenal the one time he got them but hasn't seen them since!

This is the second sleepy bee location I have been to where the food has been underwhelming. The coffee was sour and the menu is uninspiring, even for a chain. The menu items are all basic with nothing remarkable and are too expensive for the mediocre quality being served. The outdoor seating is very nice, though. Overall, if you want a similar vibe, just go to First Watch which is far superior in the food quality.

Great stop, amazing service! Food was 4 star but the service was as good as it gets. On a busy Sunday morning Kimberly was amazingly attentive and super friendly. Waters never below half full. Explained the menu items. Just amazing. Our food was also very good. We will return.

Food was pretty good. Service was great. I'd like it if they had more of a "breakfast potato" selection but I still enjoyed my plate.

My friend started with calamari, served on a bed of Asian slaw. The rings were tender and tasty, and nicely complemented by the slaw. The soup du jour was shrimp bisque, which I eagerly ordered. I wish it hadn't been completely pureed, because I like bits of shrimp in it, but it was still excellent, tasting of shrimp, cream, and delicate seasonings. Moving on, he had the meatloaf, and we both liked it. I had the day's special of my favorite fish - halibut. It was perfectly seared, sitting in a pool of browned butter sauce and garnished with pine nuts, all accompanied by tasty spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. We each enjoyed a slice of carrot cake for dessert. I definitely don't intend to let 7 years slip by before I return, especially since the specials of the day kept me from trying the Kenwood salad and red wined braised short rib.
