If you're like me and always end up doing things last minute, and need a smog check ASAP, I highly recommend this place. Found this place through a quick search on Yelp. This place is located at the Chevron gas station in the corner. There is plenty of parking and the area is very clean and spacious. I didn't have an appointment and I appreciated that there was a sign saying walk-ins welcome! Michael was extremely kind and made me feel welcomed. There were a few people ahead of me but I didn't mind waiting. I needed a smog check with a certificate. He explained the pricing and process to me and it was informative . It was a really busy and hot day. There were a few chairs to sit while you wait for your car to be done. I paid around $48 not including tip! Side Note: Mention the coupon on Yelp to get $30 off! I will continue to come here in the future and recommend this place to others! Michael also mentioned that if I am worried about not receiving my registration sticker on time before it expires, I can go to a nearby kiosk location such as Safeway and scan my form and be able to get one that day. My car runs great and I had dropped it off to get smogged while I went shopping. I was stunned at pick up when I was told it had failed smog. Our mechanic told me to get it re-rested, it looked to him as if the car had been tested cold. When I drove into Smog Check Plus Michael asked how far I had driven. He told me to take a seat as it would take a while. A half-hour later he handed me a report which showed A++, everything was at near-minimum. Rather than churn through as many tests as possible in a day, Smog Check Plus took the time to let my car reach operating temperature before running the test. My car needed a smog check and I haven't had to do one for a while. So, they were very patient with me to explain what it entailed and how to process my registration afterwards.
