Really not much to say about these guys. I have had all my cars smogged here every year since they opened. My only warning is I wouldn't recommend having them file your registration, they charge an additional fee for that when the smog itself is transmitted to the DMV instantly as part of the base price and then you have to wait for the state to snail mail your stickers. Just take your registration to one of the DMV kiosks and pay and your stickers will be printed right there for no extra charge. read more

I found SCP randomly when I was looking for a place to get our 08 Prius smogged-- in the past we've gone to locations off of Curtner but decided to give them a call. Michael answered the phone and said that the online coupon was no problem, nor a AAA discount. Michael said while they don't schedule appointments he wasn't too busy (4PM) and that if I could make it in by 4:45PM he'd take care of me and it would take about 10 min. I got there and had to wait behind another person-- there's no waiting area so you sit outside, but Michael nicely got me a chair and the wait was only 10 min for the car before mine. Sure enough, my car was done in 10 min. Michael easily honored the discounts and even pointed out that I should go to the local AAA office to get my sticker since we probably didn't have time to wait for the sticker to arrive by regular US mail. Michael's incredibly upbeat, patient, clear and easy to understand-- he's the best Smog Check person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He said that the business is family owned and he's part of the family-- so try them out help out these small businesses that take care of you! *my only regret is that in the future when my other car needs to be smogged they'll be busy with a long line... but it's important to share that this is a great place with a great person working there!* read more

They don't answer the phone... and have a "voice mailbox has not been set up yet" so you can't leave a message. Really? Don't answer your phone? No voicemail box? BEFORE doing the test, the BF told the guy we were doing this smog because of selling the vehicle. OK, he says. AFTER he finished, he says that it didn't even need a smog test because the vehicle is less than 4 years old. What?? He couldn't mention that ahead of time when he talked about doing the test? I would highly recommend the service -- The price is very reasonable. The service there is amazing. I went there on a weekend and unfortunately the CA government smog check system has intermittent issue. The person working in the station was very responsive -- he kept checking the system status and ran to every car in the line to update the status. He even called other smog stations to see if they have the same issue. Fortunately the system was back after 1 hour though it took much longer for him to upload the test result. I called them in the morning for a quote and they provided a full out the door price including certificate. They don't take appointments. First come first served. When I went there was only one person in front of us but quickly there were three parties after us. What impressed me was how helpful he was. He asked if I had AAA and said that I could get an additional $2 discount. He also noticed my old address on the renewal was different than my new address on the drivers license and recommended I renew at AAA because they can give me the stickers today. He explained every sheet of paper he gave me stapled together and even specifically folded it out to that page that AAA would need to see if my test results didn't show up in the system. We went over and beyond even though there were three others after me. He could have easily just taken my money and given me my papers and left it at that.
