I used Snappee when I lived in Dallas from 2008-2010 and have resumed using them now that I have moved back to Dallas. The bottom line is this - as long as I live in Dallas, I will not take my car anywhere else. Paul and his team not only do an excellent job of fixing vehicles, but they do it for a very reasonable price, probably cheaper than you would get anywhere else. More importantly, they are VERY honest. I have had oil change mechanics tell me of numerous repairs I need on my car that make it "undriveable" only to take it to Snappee and have them tell me the repairs are not needed. As someone who doesn't know a lot about cars (which I'm sure the average person doesn't), I am apt to be taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs. I'm thankful I have a place like Snappee where I get honest assessments and reasonable prices. I recommend anyone to go there! read more

Well, I THOUGHT that I was taking my vehicle to a person I could trust...... But this sadly was not the case. I had come in for a routine oil change, (which you would think is a pretty simple process in the realm of auto maintenance), and went to grab a bite to eat. When I returned 2 1/2 hours later, I walked in to pay for the services when the owner greeted me with a strange response by saying, "let's go look at your truck". Immediately I thought 'What's wrong'. Well come to find out THEY HAD DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF THEIR LIFT CAUSING SERIOUS DAMAGE!!!!!!! I was furious for a few reasons, because it was interesting that I was never notified before walking in about the incident and also upset with the damage. I've had independent estimates for repairs by two well respected body shops in the Dallas area which are saying the vehicle is totaled. The owner originally agreed to pay out of pocket to repair, but then turned and filed with his insurance, which have only offered to pay me 5 grand for repairs!!! Outrageous!!!! Morale of the story is... DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO SNAPPEE AUTO CARE FOR ANYTHING!!!!! If they cannot complete a simple procedure such as an oil change without causing serious damage, or handle getting repairs done to the customers liking and in a timely fashion....... they should not be trusted to even pump your gas!!! read more

They are prompt, efficient, friendly, reasonable and willing to go the extra mile to help you in anyway. Truly a fabulous experience. I'm sure Snappee Auto Care is fine for getting oil changes and inspection stickers but if your car needs any mechanical repairs, STAY FAR AWAY from this business. I feel like their mechanic, Tony, completely misdiagnosed the problem my car was having and only provided a temporary fix to get me down the road after paying the bill (see story below). The brief interactions I had with Tony left me feeling as if he was putting off performing repairs on my car so he could better service his regular Park Cities customers (ex: informing me that nothing is wrong with my car when he first looked at it (makes you wonder if he did truly look at it) and then never calling me to discuss his findings-- I always had to reach out to him). A week and a half later after picking up my car from his shop for overheating issues, it overheats again. I call to inform him of this and ask if he could work a little bit with me on the $550+ bill I paid since he didn't correct the overheating issue and the car is undriveable once again, and he becomes belligerent and starts screaming at me on the phone. Never in my life have I ever encountered such a rude, unprofessional individual. For a shop that has their lobby decorated with Christian items (He is risen cross in front window, I Am Second pamphlets scattered on the desk and tables, Christian music blaring through the lobby speakers, etc.), one would think that they would be treated a little more fairly and not completely ripped off. Lesson learned. One fateful day, as I was turning into the parking lot for a dentist's appointment, I noticed steam bellowing out from under the hood of my car. I quickly found a parking spot and got out of my car to investigate. It appeared that a large amount of fluid had been released from the engine and was starting to pool around my front tires. I immediately googled for a car repair shop nearby and discovered that Snappee Auto Care was less than a mile away from my location. Since it was the closest repair shop to me, and after waiting an hour in the parking lot for my car to cool off, I made the short trek over. Tony, the mechanic on duty at Snappee Auto Care, said he would take a look at my car tomorrow (car was still too hot from the drive over and they were getting ready to close). The next morning Tony calls and exclaims that he "has good news, that I don't have a leak!" and that my car was ready for pick-up. To which I reply, "Tony, I'm pretty sure I have a leak due to the large puddle of fluid that surrounded my car after parking it yesterday." To make a long story short, he said he would run it idling for an hour and then get back to me. He never got back to me. Later in the day, I called him and asked if he found anything wrong with the car to which he nonchalantly states "Yeah, it's definitely overheating." Eventually, after a pressure test and coolant flush, he determines the car needed a new cooling fan assembly which I agreed to have him repair. I pick up my car a day later and pay the $550+ bill. A WEEK AND A HALF later my low engine coolant light comes on. I immediately take the car to Snappee Auto Care again to have Tony look at it. He pops the hood and tells me the reservoir and fluid levels look fine and that there's nothing wrong with my car. I drive away thinking everything is fine. The NEXT DAY, while driving home from work, I notice my car overheating AGAIN and immediately take it to a mechanic's shop that's closer to my house where it's determined that there's a crack in the intake manifold. read more

Got an inspection, oil change, topped off everything that was low and replaced a brake light. All under an hour. Very efficient and polite. Honest family business, very reasonable prices.
