Alright guys....I read everyone's reviews and was stoked to try out Sno Beach's shave ice today. Recently I have been in search of a new favorite place since I have no clue where the hell Molly's went. I definitely was not the worst I've had. The ice was nice and soft, the cream was tasty also, but overall the flavors lacked the punchy taste that Molly's had. Last week I hit up Casy's New Orleans style snoballs and I have to say I think they have one up on Sno Beach. read more

Dude it was seriously the best snow cone ever. Incredibly shaved ice consistency with an excellent ratio of sugary juice to ice, only leaving that one perfect gulp at the end that's cold and watery. read more

By far the best shaved ice around! I recently visited Austin, and knew I wanted to try sno-beach, but didn't expect to become addicted to it. The ice is shaved extremely fine, so it is very soft. They have a ton of flavors, I ended up trying tigers blood, banana, cotton candy, blue raspberry, and kiwi. All were delicious. You also get a ton for your money. I tried Kawaii's Shaved Ice in Round Rock, and preferred Sno-beach for their fineness of ice, and customer service! read more

1. The Austin original. All other sno cone stands are imposters (such as this ersatz "Sno Springs"). 2. Make sure you get cream on anything that you get. 3. It's worth the wait. They have umbrellas for you to use in case it gets too hot. 4. My favorites are Tiger's Blood, Ice Cream, Pink Lemonade Sour and Canteloupe. 5. The Sno Beach girls are always hot. read more

Just had the WORST sno cone ever at at the Guadalupe location. I'll be sticking with Barton Springs from now on, even though it's way out of my way. Sno cone was mostly ice, and when I asked for more syrup the counter girl said I had to pay an extra $0.50. Disappointing. read more

Delicious snow cones and very affordable. I think the small size is perfect for one person unless you were planning on eating half now and drinking the rest in a slushy form in 30 minutes. Nice seating and it was clean, I love the new location across from chuys. read more

Who doesn't love snow cones? I know I love them! Sno Beach is the best place in Austin to get snow cones. Be prepared to wait in line, though, because everyone else seems to agree. My favorite is strawberry with cream added. Believe me, the cream is sooooo worth it! Thank me later! read more

If you want the best snow cone in ATX, Sno-Beach is it. The original location is to the left behind the Chuy's on Barton Springs. They have quite a following and I am not talking about the honey bee's that like to frequent the place. They have the best flavors and multiple sizes of cones, they will mix several flavors for you and there are many to choose from. It will be difficult to find just one favorite. my new favorite sno-cone place! wish there was one in houston! we went after spending the afternoon at town lake and barton springs. such a refreshing treat after a day in the sun! things i love about this place: - their shaved ice is light, soft, and fluffy! no ice chunks! i hate having to chew on ice, and you definitely don't have to with this shaved ice - their service is fast, efficient, and friendly! they had like 6 ppl working in that small food truck when we went around 6pm on a saturday afternoon. - so many flavors to choose from! - CREAM. it makes all the difference. trust! - reasonable prices and big portions. $2.50 for a small, $3.50 for a medium. $0.50 to add cream. between me and my bf, we ordered a small of half red raspberry, half pink lemonade. with cream. and a medium of half tiger's blood and half wedding cake. with cream. both were SO GOOD. highly recommend both combinations. they tasted good by themselves and with each other. we asked the worker what tiger's blood was but even she didn't know hahaha. it's good though! read more

Sno-Beach is an inconspicuous food truck type place. AMAZING snow cones. They are shaved ice so it's very thin and not super crunchy. I got a small strawberry Kiwi and it was more than enough. Delicious! read more

After a South Austin food trailer tour, I ended up at Sno-Beach. I had a cherry and vanilla shaved ice with cream. Without the cream, this is probably a 3 star review. But the addition of cream was huge, and turned a good dessert into something extremely refreshing. Definitely worth checking out especially now that Austin weather is getting close to triple digits. read more

Nothing beats this after a hot day trying to keep cool at Barton Springs on your walk back to the car. I park further away just to have the excuse of "I was just walking by." Every flavor imaginable is an option too! If you can find it, it's worth the walk! I would've given 5 stars if they had a picnic bench w/ umbrella available or somewhere cool to sit while I ate. read more

SOO many flavors to choose from & not too syrupy! You actually taste the flavors with the nice smooth shaved ice. I imagine this is as close to actual shaved ice from Hawaii as possible in the area. Their small was a generous amount that I more then happily shared with a friend. I unfortunately did not read reviews beforehand but most people recommend adding cream. Give it a try, cash only & I believe the small was less then $3. read more

Had Sno-Beach after a long day at Zilker and was glad I waited in the long line! It went relatively quickly, snowballs were awesome and we'll be back again. I had cherry and sour apple. if you want sweet delicious goodness on a hot summer day, stroll by sno-beach on barton springs. i consider myself to me somewhat of a snow cone connoisseur, considering i grew up in south louisiana and my brother worked at the snow cone stand down the street. i'm pretty sure i ate at least one every day of every summer for way too many years. and i'm still not diabetic, go figure. anyway...the clear differentiator for these treats is the ice. it's perfect - a little bit of a crunch in there, but mostly smooth, melt-in-your-mouth delight. i love that they have various flavors in multiple colors (bubblegum in pink or blue, coconut in clear or blue). i rocked my all-time fave, coconut, but i am positive i will branch out into other flavors (and locations) in the future. another trailer-enclosed gem in austin. yay! read more

The shaved ice itself gets 5 stars. It is soft and smooth and the closest thing to Matsumotos (on the north shore of Oahu) that I have ever been able to find! :) I gave it 4 because the location is not kid friendly. I have two little girls and when my daughter was 2, she tripped on the VERY uneven cement and got the biggest goose egg on her forehead that I have ever seen. If you take little kids, have another adult wait in the car with them while you order! Then eat it in the car or at a park nearby. read more

Today was my first time coming here. The parking wasn't too bad, they have their own lot. The wait was like 30 minutes and it was hot as hades outside. They did have umbrellas outside for shade though. Let me tell you, it was totally worth it. They were so nice whenever we finally got up there. I got a wedding cake with ice cream. Lezbehonest...sno beach USED to be cool--when I was a teenybopper. Nowadays I'd much prefer to bop on over to South Austin Sno's SoLa location. The lines at SB are 'out of this world' ridiculous and it is as though this place is the stomping ground for wannabe hipsters *cough* westlake high school students *cough*. Also I don't like their syrup...it sticks to my throat and makes me want to scrape my tongue with a razor to get off the excess residue. In addition you can get a cheaper, better snow cone at the aforementioned South Austin Sno. read more

We love Sno-Beach (@ Barton Springs)! I haven't tried that many shave ice places but my husband (an am mature shave ice connoisseur, ha) who spent some time living in Hawaii loves this place and I have to say that after buying a few less than awesome shave ices around town I realized how good this place was! If you go later in the evening the line isn't bad, plus, I always need a minute or two to figure out what flavor I want! :) Plus, I like that I can just park right there. read more

As a long time patron of this business, since the '90's, and it is under new ownership, I was really disappointed in the unusual way of my favorite flavor(fruit) tasted. I tasted another flavor I like, and it was also disappointing. I would guess either a different brand of flavoring is being used or something was not right with the two I tasted. Probably the former.
