My friends and I went to Snooze and tried a variety of dishes, and overall, everything was pretty good. I had the Snooze Classic with eggs, hash browns, and chicken sausage, along with a banana pancake and a super green drink. The pancake with bananas was really good. The super green drink was also very tasty and refreshing. I am not usually a fan of when places just throw shredded cheese on top of eggs instead of mixing it in, but at least here it was melted, which made it better. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. They actually come to this location pretty often, so it is clearly a go-to spot for them. It definitely gives classic diner-style breakfast vibes. The only downside was the service. Our server was a bit slow, and we had to flag her down a few times. It may have just been a busy time of day, though, so I would not let that stop me from coming back. read more

For Valentine's Day I treated myself at Snooze in the Montrose location. Soon as I walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The staff had such a positive vibe it really set the tone for a great solo brunch date. I ordered the corned beef hash meal with scrambled egg whites and added a buttermilk pancake on the side. It also came with toast. Everything came out fresh, hot, and beautifully plated. The corned beef hash didn't disappoint at all with crispy edges and tender bites throughout. The scrambled egg whites were light and fluffy, and that buttermilk pancake? Soft, golden, and a lil on the thick side but nonetheless delicious. The ambiance at Snooze Montrose is lively, colorful, and upbeat. A fun brunch energy without feeling chaotic. It was a few people in here today, so I couldn't tell you on a crowded day. We ordered our meals and they came out exactly right and also got to try a pancake flight with a gluten free option for my husband that suffers from the autoimmune disease celiac. He was so happy. We walked here from our hotel. The location is very convenient for people staying in the Houston Galleria area. The service was great. Very efficient and professional. The decor is fun and retro. I've been here for breakfast a few times, and my experience has always been consistently good but nothing has been standout. This time I got the spuds deluxe, which was hash browns covered with melted cheese and choice of two additions and topped with two eggs. I chose mushrooms and sausage for my additions. The dish was good, but there weren't many pieces of the mushrooms or sausage. The taste was otherwise exactly as you'd expect. I also shared the omg French toast with my friend (brioche stuffed with mascarpone filling and topped with vanilla cream, caramel, fresh strawberries and toasted coconut). It was good. My friend enjoyed her breakfast burrito. Service is friendly enough but can be a bit slow. The ambiance is quiet and relaxed in the morning since we usually come right after they open. read more

Jet lag is real!!!!!) said he could have them make pecan pancakes for me. Yay! Pancakes made from fresh ingredients. The best hot chocolate with whipped cream that I've ever had anywhere in the United States. I know they had Vermont maple syrup all the way in Texas. The bacon was delicious not some frozen food joint where they reheat everything. Everything was fresh and made from scratch. So good!!! I was on a Saturday morning, which I thought would be insane, but even though it was busy, they sat us right away. I have indoor and outdoor receiving nice air condition for this humid weather. One of the general managers. I think his name was, Lance was very friendly as well and I thanked him for the great service there and the excellent food and he gave me a card with a coupon for a free pancake. It is best to make reservations at this restaurant because it seems they are always busy. And I see why. Indoor and outdoor service is available. I put us on the waiting list and we were like 3 min late and they took us off BUT they were still friendly and still got us seated in a timely manner. What I ordered was hash browns with cheese mushrooms peppers and onions in which was delicious and pineapple upside down pancakes. Now they got my order wrong at first and brought out the strawberry french toast. I said I would take it because I didn't feel like waiting for the pancakes anymore, so I did get cranky BUT the pancakes were sooo good attitude instantly gone.
