It's packed it's fresh AND homemade dressing!! My mom and I both got spaghetti- ate to our fill and still the amount we took home was way more than a full serving at other places - delicious too- no 'processed' food here. Had a great meal at Sofias Restaurant ! I ordered the chicken alfredo. It was only $14 and large enough for me to eat at least twice. They also have a massive salad bar that comes with most of their main entrees and sandwiches. To top it off the customer service was excellent. Definitely worth checking out! read more

First time we visited this new restaurant in Anchorage. While kind of small with seating for maybe 25. This is a true gem, family owned and run establishment. The salad bar is one of the biggest that I have seen in Anchorage in sometime. They have most every vegetable that you can think of. The dressings are all homemade. My wife had the Philadelphia cheesesteak. It was so fresh, with lots of fresh meat and great flavor. As you can see by the pic, the size of it. I had the steak with the creamy mushroom sauce. While this might not be the most expensive steak, it was a good size and well prepared and very well flavored . We also had their homemade soup. We tired their broccoli cheese. This was outstanding and full of flavor. The family is so very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them all. We would recommend this establishment. We will become regulars. read more

Nice little place. I haven't had a salad bar as good as theirs since before Covid. I had soup and a large salad. Should have just gotten the small. I'd like to eat there often enough to try all the dressings. Had everything from kimchi to potato salad on it. Anchorage's best casual dining? Frankly, the simple tables are just that, but the food on three visits has been fantastic. Mandarin Chicken Salad (twice), and the Chicken Parmigiana exceeded expectations. The salads, on each visit, were very fresh with an amazing spicy peanut sauce. The Parmigiana was possibly the best I've ever had with a slightly sweet, slightly spicy marinara sauce. High praise, but true. The portion was huge...another onlooking customer laughed when I said, "Glad it came in a to-go box." Right now, Sofia's might not quite offer "date night" ambiance, but the food & portions make this a must-try. I'll add a picture if I can. read more

The food is a very good value, loved the soups and my French dip. My friend got the r salad bar and was very happy with the choices. Looks like a family owned business. Amazing new restaurant in Spenard. Portions are huge. We had pasta and sandwiches with salad bar. Had plenty of take aways for another meal. Everything homemade with lots of flavor. We'll be going back again. Only drawback is there's not much seating but they do everything to go and you can eat there if you want. They cater also. Very friendly service. read more

My first trip to Sofias was excellent. I went looking for a cinnamon roll and coffee. I left with carrot cake and a Irish cream coffee. I was quite happy with the option I chose. The cake was spongy and moist as had a wonderful frosting that was not too sweet. The coffee was just right and I felt complimented the carrot cake. I would highly recommend this bakery or restaurant I had a great first impression with my wife along for the visit. I can't speak on the ambiance as we opted for drive through however we were greeted promptly and politely. There will be follow up trips to Sofias to sample other treats. read more
